Soon enough for some and too soon for others, the group reached the area that Autobots had used as their base during the war. Nighthawk was a bit stunned that the base had been so close to where the cons their base, but she knew out of all the bots in the group, the Prime would be most resistant to her presence. She landed as the grounder bots drove up. Hide had driven with Skyballer on him as the half of a wing Skyballer had didn't allow him to fly and he didn't have another vehicle mode. Skyballer didn't like his partial wing and hoped he could get help to fix it.
Mirage led the group in. Hide stayed with Mirage and the three supposed siblings while the other bots who participated in the rescue went elsewhere. Hide still want entirely sure about this and it showed in how he stood between Mirage and the other three. The other three understood and hoped that this medic could tell them all the truth.
They soon reached the med bay, where Optimus was as he had been asking Ratchet about these three new bots. Optimus stood tall when he saw the five bots enter. Boltlock was stunned, Skyballer held back, And Nighthawk shook, fearing that this Optimus was much like Megatron. She hoped he wouldn't off line her.
"Who do we have here?" Optimus asked in his Prime voice, a voice all seemed to know.
"Sir, these bots who took me hostage have revealed to me a truth that I had no idea about. We come here to see if Ratchet can verify this truth" Mirage responded, knowing Optimus was wanting to show that he was a strong Prime that all respected.
"And what is this truth?" Optimus asked holding Ratchet back until Optimus got his answer.
"It appears that my parents had more siblings besides my dead twin and myself, but the others were sent away because they were not considered good enough or perfect enough. I want to see if our codes match as siblings" Mirage revealed, hoping that his trust and faith were not misplaced.
Optimus nodded and allowed Ratchet through. "Alright, who's first?" Ratchet growled.
Boltlock and Skyballer were not eager, but Nighthawk, fearing she would be destroyed if this was not true decided to go first. "I will go first" the femme flyer answered, two of her arms crossed with the third stitch out to be tested.
Ratchet scanned the femme and the result was instant. "Based on the codes I have in the system, this femme is indeed a sparkling of the former leaders Quartz and Onyx, thus making her a sibling to Mirage." Mirage nodded and Optimus did as well. The femme was shocked, but grateful.
"Alright, I will go next" Skyballer announced.
Ratchet went to scan Skyballer. "He is the same as the femme – sparkling of Onyx and Quartz and sibling of Mirage." Optimus nodded, starting to feel slightly better about this, but there was still one bot to go.
"Are you ready to be tested?" Ratchet asked Boltlock, who nodded. Boltlock was a bit of a surprise, he was a sparkling of Onyx but not Quartz, and a half sibling to the others. "You are a half sibling."
"A half sibling?" Boltlock asked, curious as well as fearful.
"Yes, you have the code of Onyx in you but not his mate Quartz. It was documented that long ago, before Onyx became a king, he had a fling with a bot and it ended up with a sparkling that seemed to disappear" Ratchet replied, having read the information long ago. It didn't make Boltlock feel better but it made sense as to why he never knew his real family.
Boltlock and the other two were stunned. Mirage had compassion on all three but especially Boltlock. "It matters not to me whether we share all code or partial code. You are my siblings and I will not allow you to be sent away" Mirage suddenly announced stunning all but Hide and Optimus. "Sir, May I request that these three be seen in the med bay and be given appropriate quarters?"
Optimus thought for a minute. Mirage was hopeful. "Request granted" Optimus finally replied, after having thought about it for a minute or two. "Ratchet, please tend to them and then send them to Hound who will assign them to a quarters. I need to speak with Mirage privately." Ratchet nodded, as he knew what that meant. And while the three stayed in the med bay, Mirage, Optimus, and Hide headed out. Mirage knew exactly what Optimus needed, and was glad that Mirage could now address that need. Mirage just hoped that the three new bots would feel welcome now that they were here. But that could wait, right now, Optimus needed his mate and that was what Mirage was going to help with.
