After tending to his mate's needs, Mirage took Optimus to the computer that Sentinel had used before he was slaughtered. "This still exists?" Optimus asked, a bit confused.
"It was beneficial to Megatron of he would have destroyed it" Mirage replied as he turned on the old data recorder device. Optimus merely nodded. His father had never allowed him around this computer, so it puzzled him how Mirage knew about accessing these devices. "My parents allowed me to use theirs when they were alive so they didn't have to deal with me."
Optimus sighed at hearing that. Mirage, while he may have been a prince, wasn't treated as well as Optimus had been growing up, but that was in the past now. "So, where is the information?"
"It will take a minute to find as it surely was encoded to be secret, as Onyx and Quartz wouldn't want Sentinel to know about this" Mirage replied.
"What?" Optimus asked confused.
"All these devices were linked and every leader and those given special access could see any records within the collected data unless things were encrypted or a bot was given limited specs" Mirage revealed. Optimus could only nod. Things were not always as rosy as they appeared he soon realized. "Here are the records" Mirage suddenly spoke.
Optimus glanced at the information that Mirage had revealed and Optimus felt sickened. Mirage and the other three were right. King Onyx and Queen Quartz were more vapid and shallow then they let on. The data Mirage found revealed exactly what the two had done with the sparklings they didn't approve of. In fact, the only reason that Queen Quartz couldn't have anymore after Mirage and his twin were sparked was due to the fact her sparkling development chamber was removed and King Onyx didn't have one and neither had a strong enough spark to carry a sparkling. "I am so sorry, Mirage" Optimus sadly uttered after reading the information.
"You have nothing to be sorry for, my beloved. There is nothing you could do to change it and nothing can be done about it now that it is in the past" Mirage replied, knowing it was the truth.
"Well, I know it can't be changed, but I still feel bad that you and your siblings had to put up with this" Optimus stated.
"Accepting us as is would be the best gift you could give us" Mirage revealed.
Optimus nodded. It really was all he could do at this point in time. "If that is what you and they wish, then that I can give. You and they are fully accepted into our ranks" Optimus responded, hoping that's this was enough. Mirage smiled and they soon headed back to tell the others about what they had learned and what Optimus had declared. Only time would tell if Mirage's siblings accepted this olive branch.
