After Bee had rested, he headed for Mirage and Optimus' place. Bee still weighed down from what he had revealed to Optimus. Bee wanted to clear the air with Mirage, as it was only right. Bee knocked softly, as he knew the little ones would be napping. Mirage answered the door. "Bee, I wasn't expecting to see you. How are you doing?" Mirage asked as he gently assisted Bee inside.
"I am okay" Bee answered, but it wasn't quite the truth.
"Bee, my old friend, I know you better than that. Something is bothering you. Please, talk to me" Mirage replied in a gentle but telling manner.
Bee sighed and nodded. "You always seem to know when something was up with me, even before I did" Bee said in response.
"You have been around me my entire life, I learned to read you" Mirage replied.
"I haven't always been as protective as I should have" Bee fessed up, his shoulders sagging.
"Please tell me what you are talking about, for as far as I know, you have been fierce in guarding me" Mirage responded, wondering what Bee was going to reveal. Bee sighed before he told Mirage exactly what Bee had told Optimus, about how bad King Onyx and Queen Quartz actually were, including how Bee saved Mirage by setting up the betrothal to Optimus and made up the betrothal requirements. Mirage listened and while he was angry at his creators, he felt nothing but compassion for bee. "Bee, knowing these secrets now makes me mad at my creators but not at you, for you may not realize it, but I several times heard of them wanting to get rid of you. I demanded that you be my guardian or I would expose them."
Now it was time for Bee to be shocked. "They wanted to get rid of me? That is not what they indicated to me" Bee replied, stunned.
"Yes, but it was when I was closer to being betrothed to Optimus, as they felt like you had outlived your usefulness even if you did save them. They also would have offlined Jumper if I hadn't stepped in. He had accidentally done something that made them mad. If I hadn't stepped in, he would have been gone as well. My parents hated those who weren't perfect. In fact, the only reason that minibots survived in Kaon was because i threatened to tell Sentinel that they were no longer fit to be a ruler and have the, terminated" Mirage revealed, a secret he had long kept to himself.
Not even Optimus knew it. All Bee could do was give Mirage a hug, in gratitude and sorrow. "I knew more than most bots thought. I worked behind the scenes. I knew if I exposed them, Optimus would have been in danger. Now that they are likely no more, all are safe." Bee just noddd. He hadn't expected to hear all of this while he was sparked. Mirage hugged the bot. "Forgive me for revealing all this in your condition" Mirage apologized as he realized bee was bigger around the middle than usual.
"you… you know?" Bee asked.
"Jumper told me, as he wanted advice" Mirage revealed softly. bee nodded. this was so much to take in, but Mirage was so supportive and Bee appreciated it.
"thank you, your friendship has meant so much to me, Prince Mirage" Bee replied.
"its Mirage, and you are welcome" Mirage repleid. Bee smiled and then left. he felt much better.
