Pulling up into the driveway of her Gram's home. Bonnie noticed both of her parents were already inside. Stopping the engine and unbuckling the seat belt. Leaning back against her seat Bonnie took a deep breath as took five minutes to herself before walking in and joining her family for dinner. Just five minutes to figure out how she's going to explain to them why Jeremy isn't joining them for tonight. It's no surprised that her father never really liked Jeremy. But both of her mom and Grams understood that Jeremy was her boyfriend and all they could do is be happy for her. Bonnie snorts a little as she shook her head and rest her hands on the stirring wheel, but none of that matters anymore, since Jeremy isn't her boyfriend anymore and all she can do is move on from him. Yeah easier said than done. She scoffed as she shook her head once more.
How the hell is she supposed to move on from Jeremy? Especially since she's gonna end up running into him because for one he's Elena brother and two, he always visits his niece and nephew during the weekends, and mostly every weekend Bonnie is over there as well to visit with the kids. But also to visit with Elena as well.
Checking the time as she noticed her five minutes were up. Bonnie took one more deep breath as she grabs her purse and pushed her door open as she climbed out. Closing the door behind her. Bonnie exhales deeply as she started to walk towards the front door and opened the door to walk into her Gram's home.
" Well, look who decided to join us for dinner." Shelia said with a smile as she pulled her only granddaughter into a hug.
Bonnie smiles softly as she wrapped her arms around her grams and hug back." Hi Grams, I missed you." Bonnie said with a smile as she lets her grams go.
Shelia snorts a little. " Oh please child. You just saw me last month. I know you don't miss me that much." She answered with a chuckle.
Bonnie shrugs her shoulders as she already knew that it has been a month since the last time she came to visit her grams of course that's when Jeremy was still together. Bonnie cleared her throat as she pushed the thought of Jeremy further back into her head.
" I know it's been a month grams. But that's because I've been busy with working at the cafe." Which is true last month when Jenna and Alaric decided that they wanted to take a vacation, basically a month worth of vacation in Hawaii. Both Bonnie and Elena had to work all month together at the cafe.
" And of course there's Jeremy Gilbert that probably kept you busy." Shelia said with a smirk." Speaking of which, where's that boy friend of yours?" Sheila asked as she noticed Jeremy never followed Bonnie into the front door as she was expecting he would.
" Um, about Jeremy... Grams there's something I need to... " But for Bonnie had the chance say something. Her mom walked into the living room and walked up to Bonnie.
" Hey honey, your dad and I was wondering what you so long." Abby said as she embraced Bonnie with a hug. Pulling away from Bonnie Abby started to look around the living room. " Bonnie, where's Jeremy? I thought he was joining us for dinner.
Bonnie looked both at her mom and Grams as she knew she was gonna have to tell them the truth." He's um, Jeremy isn't coming tonight." Bonnie answered sadly and honestly.
" Why? Did you guys have a fight or something?" Abby asked with concern.
Bonnie exhales deeply as she ran her fingers through her hair." No, we didn't have a fight. We...we broke up last night."
After dinner and after spending almost two hours hearing her father talk about how he was happy that Bonnie finally decided to dump Jeremy. Bonnie was just glad to be home finally. Walking through her front door as she closed the door behind her. Bonnie took her shoes off and her jacket as she walked into the kitchen to pour herself a glass of wine. Which she always have before going to bed. Normally Bonnie would have at least two glasses of wine. But since she has to get up in the morning and open the cafe. One glass of wine will have to do.
When Bonnie's cell started to ring she took another sip from her wine before setting the wine glass down. When she noticed it was Caroline Mikelson her other best friend calling, Bonnie answered right away.
" Hey Care, what's up? How's it going in New Orleans?" Bonnie asked. A couple years ago After Caroline and Klaus got married. They both moved to New Orleans, So Klaus can take over his father's company as CEO of The Mikelson interprise. With Elijah as the president and of Course Kol as Vice-president. Caroline is the New Orleans news anchor.
" Everything is going fine here, and that's why I called. Elena called me earlier and told me what happened between you and Jeremy last night. I'm just calling to check in and see how you were doing." Caroline answered with a small smile.
Bonnie snorts a little as she shook her head.," Of course Elena did, so did you really call to check up on me? Or what is there another reason?" Bonnie asked as she could already tell that Caroline already has something up her sleeves.
" I have no idea what your talking about. Can't I just call my best friend to see how she's doing?" Caroline asked innocently.
Bonnie snorts a laugh as she shook her head once more." Caroline, we've been friends since like kindergarten and I know you don't always call me, unless you want something or in this case up to something. So you might as tell me."
Caroline sighs exasperatedly as she rolled her eyes." Fine, I was calling to see if you wanted to come out to New Orleans for the weekend."
Bonnie picked up her wine glass as she took another sip as she heard Caroline inviting Bonnie to New Orleans over the weekend. " I don't know Care, I mean it's sorta last minute though." Bonnie would have love to get away from Mystic Falls and go to New Orleans to visit her best friend, during the weekend. But she doesn't think weekend is the right time.
Caroline sighs in disappointment." Yeah, I know. I just thought with you and Jeremy being over and now that he's gotten his ex girlfriend pregnant. I just thought that maybe you wanted to get away for the weekend. " Caroline was really missing her friends especially Bonnie and she wanted them to catch up.
" You wouldn't by any chance, try to fix me up with someone this weekend?" Bonnie questions suspiciously.
" What makes you think that I would actually do something like that?" Caroline asked offensively.
Bonnie rolls her eyes as she scoffed lightly." Because, you been trying to fix me up with someone since high school, so I know that's the main reason why you called." Ever since high school Caroline would always try to fix Bonnie up with someone, and of course Bonnie always kept Caroline she wasn't interested since she was always able to manage to finding her own dates.
Caroline huffs as she rolled her eyes." Alright fine, I was going to fix you up with Kol Mikelson."
Bonnie snorts as she chuckled." Seriously? Kol Mikelson? Wait, what do you mean you were gonna fix me up with him?"
" The company has a dinner party this weekend and...well Kol needed a date." Caroline confessed.
Bonnie sighs with a snigger as she close her eyes. " And you thought maybe I can be his date for the weekend? "
" Well, yeah."
" So what happened? "
" Well, looks like Kol is taking out Davina Clare. So you're off the hook."
Bonnie chuckled as she shook her head." Well, thanks Care and I do appreciate it. But I will be fine, besides I'm not looking for someone right now, and I don't think I can come out to New Orleans this weekend. But maybe you can come out to Mystic Falls for next weekend." Bonnie suggested.
" Yeah, I will talk to Klaus and I will see what he has plans for next weekend." Caroline would actually love to go back to Mystic Falls to visit her friends, and even visit her mom as well." Hey I should let you go, I will see you next weekend hopefully. Goodnight Bon, tell everyone I said hi."
" Of course I will. Good night Care." Bonnie said with a smile as she ended the call.
The next day Bonnie walked into the Grill to pick up the lunch order and few coffees as well. Walking up towards the bar Bonnie noticed Matt wiping down the bar." Hey Matt, are the lunch orders that Jenna called ready?"
" Yeah, Vicki should be bringing them out soon. So how you been?"
Bonnie sighs softly." Let me guess, you heard about me and Jeremy?"
" Yeah, Jeremy told me what happened yesterday."
Bonnie shrugs her shoulders. " It's whatever, I mean his ex girlfriend is pregnant by him and there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. But you know me Matt, I will get over it and I will move on." It might take some time but Bonnie will fortunately get over the break up and move on. It just won't happened over night.
" Hey Bonnie, here's your guys lunch orders and Coffee. " Vicki said as she set the boxes on to the bar.
" Thanks Vicki, I really appreciate this. Mind helping me with these boxes?" Bonnie asked as she grabs the coffee and started to head out of the grill." See you later Matt." Bonnie called out as she walked out towards her car with Vicki following her.
" Hey, I was wondering if you got plans for tonight." Vicki said as she placed the box of lunch on the passenger seat in Bonnie's car.
" Well, I was thinking of actually staying home tonight and watch Netflix, and eat a big bowl of ice cream with a glass of wine. Why?" Bonnie asked curiously.
" Well, I was thinking maybe you, Elena and I can go out for a few drinks. What you say Bon? Are you in?" Vicki asked with a smirk
Bonnie bit her bottom lip for a moment as she had to think about it." Well, having a few drinks does sound better than spending my Friday night alone. Yeah, count me in." Bonnie answered with a nod and a friendly smile.
Vicki nods her head as she was happy with Bonnie's answer." Great, I will call you and Elena later for more details. " After Bonnie and Vicki said their good byes. Bonnie got behind the wheel and started up the engine. Waving Vicki goodbye Bonnie drove back to the cafe.
Having a few drinks with her friends, would actually help her get her mind off of Jeremy and what happened two nights ago. Maybe one of these days Bonnie will forgive Jeremy. But right now she can't, not any time soon.
AN: Next up, Bonnie is gonna go out for a few drinks with her friends. Who knows she might end up running into Damon while she's out with her friends. Also Caroline is in the story just that she lives in New Orleans with her husband Klaus, also yes Vicki is in the story. Even though she wasn't a fan in the show.
