Chapter Seven
When they get to Andy's apartment they rush out of the car, Andy's pants not done up correctly they get into the elevator and when it closes Andy pins her against a wall and crashes her lips on Vic's and lifts her shirt, moving her hands up to squeeze Vic's boobs while Vic did the same. They heard the elevator ding and quickly pulled apart on Andy's floor, thankfully. Andy and Vic continue kissing on the way to the apartment when they hear an "Oh, my god." come from behind them. They pull apart and when they see who had seen them they pull apart from each other and let out an "oh shit."
"Michelle? Tia?" Andy exclaimed, backing away from Vic. "What are you two doing here?"
Michelle looked at her cousin, concern written on her face. She turned to her mother and saw that her face was blank, the same expression she held when Michelle had come out to her parents.
"Mom, maybe we should leave. Let Andy be." Michelle tried, wanting to leave before something happened that can't be undone.
Sandra shakes her head. "No. I think I'd like to know how the hell this happened."
"Tia-" Andy tried but got cut off.
"No, Andy." Sandra looked down at Vic and Andy's connected hands. "What the hell is going on?"
"I mean, I thought it was obvious," Andy replied.
"Now's not the time to be a smartass, Andy. What the hell are you doing? You date men."
"I never labelled myself as straight, Tia," Andy told her Tia. Looking at Michelle she saw that her sister-cousins face had worry written on it and got concerned herself. "Sandra, we haven't been in each other's lives in a long time, but this is Vic. My girlfr-"
"No." Sandra cut her off and Andy was surprised with how she talked to her.
"Tia, I know this is a surprise-"
"A surprise? More like a huge disgrace. It's one thing to have a daughter who is gay, but to have a niece? No, I don't want you in our lives." Sandra spit out.
Andy's face drops further and she's left speechless.
"Mom."
Sandra faces her daughter. "You stay out of this."
"Tia, I know how cultural and old-fashioned you are, and I am sorry you had to find out this way, but I like girls just as much as men. That's who I am." Andy told her, trying to keep her tears at bay. "I just got you guys back. I don't want to lose you."
"Should've thought of that before you hooked up with a woman."
"She is more than a hookup, Tia. I love Vic. She's one of the most important people in my life and she makes me happy, isn't that what should matter?" Andy tried to explain to Sandra, not knowing how this conversation turned so bad.
Sandra just looks at her with disgust. "No. I love my daughter even though I don't support her lifestyle, but I refuse to support someone who we barely see."
Andy runs a hand through her hair, trying to keep calm.
"Mom, how the heck can you support me but not Andy? She just came back into our lives."
"Well if I knew she was Bisexual or whatever I wouldn't have let her back in," Sandra told her daughter and turned back to Andy. "Forget Sunday dinners. You are not welcome there."
"Tia…" Andy started but couldn't continue, getting choked up. "Please don't do this." Andy struggled to get out, not wanting to break down in front of her Tia.
Tia just ignores Andy. "Come on, Michelle, let's go." Michelle looks at Andy and sees a tear fall from one of her eyes.
"I think I'm going to stay," Michelle told her mother, standing her ground. Michelle saw her mother turn around, about to say something but then just walked to the elevator, not looking back but Michelle felt her phone vibrate.
'We'll be talking about this later' Michelle read and sighed.
When she looked up she saw her cousin wrapped in Vic's arms, breathing heavily. Michelle took out her key for Andy's apartment, walked to the door, unlocked it and then directed the couple into the apartment and as soon as she closed it she heard Andy just break down in tears, unable to control the tears her breathing soon became heavy.
"Andy, Andy look at me." Michelle tried "Andy, you need to get you're breathing under control." Michelle motioned for Vic to let Andy go and a couple of seconds later Andy was wrapped in Michelle's arms. Michelle moved Andy's head down to her chest, letting her cousin listen to her heartbeat and heard Andy's breathing begin to slow. "That's it, Andy. Just keep listening." Michelle told her as Vic began to stroke Andy's hair.
Vic looked at Michelle, sadness in her eyes. "Baby," Vic tried to get Andy's attention and when Andy looked up a minute later, red eyes, and wet cheeks, Vic's heart sank. "Let's get you to bed."
"Not tired," Andy told her. Letting go of Michelle she walked over to the couch. She grabbed the blanket that was laying on the back and wrapped it around herself, grabbed the remote, turned the TV on to a trashy reality show and when she didn't feel anyone next to her she turned around. "Well? You guys going to join me?"
Michelle and Vic both nodded and walked to the couch, on the way Vic grabbed another blanket for her and Michelle. Once they were comfortable they cuddled into each other, Andy being in the middle.
When the episode of the show was over Andy spoke up. "Thank you for being here with me." Andy grabbed one of their hands. "I don't know what I would do without you."
'I'll talk to my mom Andy. She may have just been shocked that you were with a woman when you've only ever talked about dating men." Michelle told Andy, rubbing circles over her hand.
Andy just nodded, not knowing what to say at this point. She was devastated at her Tia's reaction.
Vic started another episode of the show and soon felt Andy's weight on her. She looked down and saw that her girlfriend's eyes were closed. "Michelle." Michelle looked at Vic and Vic motioned down to Andy. "I"m going to take her to bed. You're more than welcome to spend the night in the guestroom if you want?" Michelle nodded and thanked Vic before walking out of the room.
Vic gently lifted Andy up and off the couch, trying not to wake Andy up but failing. Once they got to Andy's room they got changed and got under the covers, snuggling into each other before falling asleep.
1. I'm not really happy with this chapter.
2. I went back and forth on who should've walked up on Andy and Vic and I wanted whoever did to kill the mood. Guess I was successful in doing that.
3. I'll try to update this soon but I have so many other stories that need updates too.
