Damon was sitting in a bar, in downtown New York, nursing his third glass of bourbon as he waits for Mason to show up, and according to Damon's watch. He's been waiting for Mason for almost an hour already. Damon would rather be some where else right now, most likely back in Mystic Falls, either with Bonnie or with his niece or nephew. But of course, Damon wouldn't mind Being around Bonnie again. As matter of fact Damon would prefer to seeing Bonnie right now. But instead Damon is sitting in a bar, that's like a mile down town from the hotel he's been staying at for the week. About to have like his fourth glass of bourbon, and about to have a conversation with someone who he would rather kill, than have an actual conversation with the guy.

Damon and Mason were roommates back in College. But they became more than that, they became really good friends. Mason was even Damon's best man at his wedding. But everything changed and turned Damon's world upside down, the moment he caught his wife and best friend in bed together. Damon took.a.huge drink of his bourbon as the night he walked right in on them started to play in his head.

- Flash back a month ago-

Damon had a very long and busy day at the office. With back to back meetings, interviews. Making business calls and of course there's his father Ginuespe that he also had to deal with. But that's a different story. Pulling up into his driveway and as he turned his engine off, Damon noticed Mason's car being parked right in front of his and next to Katherine's.

" What the hell is he doing here, this late?" Damon asked himself as he pulls his keys out of the ignition and pushed the door open as he got out of his black Escalade. After Damon closed his door and locked the doors before setting the car alarm, he walked up to his house.

Walking into the front door Damon half expected to see both Mason and Katherine sitting either side from each other watching tv, or at least seeing Mason sleeping on their couch. Which he has done multiple times before, especially when he and his girlfriend end up arguing, which is all the time. But no Damon didn't find them in the living room watching tv and Mason didn't in fact sleep on their couch. Instead Damon found two empty wine glasses and a half of a bottle of wine, sitting in the middle of the coffee table.

" Oh, you gotta be fucking kidding me." Damon gritted his teeth as he could already sense something was up. Damon literally ran upstairs towards their room. Without warning or knocking, Damon opened his bedroom door so hard that it hit against the wall, causing the sleeping couple jump up quickly out of bed.

" Oh my God! Damon. What the hell is wrong with you? Why did you barged in like that? " Katherine asked as soon as she covered herself up with the blanket as she was trying to cover up her body." What you doing home anyway? I thought you had to work late."

" It's past midnight Katherine, I just got home from the office. So, how long has this been going on?" Damon asked as he walked further into the room and crossed his arms over his chest as he glares at Mason as he wants to kill him already. But it's taking everything in him to not to loose it.

Katherine picked on the fabric of the covers and shrugs her shoulders." Not for very long." She answered as she looks down for a moment as she was avoiding Damon's gaze.

Damon snorts as he shook his head. " What does that mean? You gotta be little more specific because I don't know what you mean by not for very long. "

"Damon, we never meant for this to happen. We never wanted for you to find out like this. Bro I swear.." Mason tried to explain himself when Damon cut him off.

" You can shut the fuck up and get the hell out of my house. Before I ended up knocking you out Bro." Damon said the last part sarcastically as he looks over at his wife with so much disgust and hatred right now. " So you gonna answer my question Katherine."

Katherine exasperatedly sighs with a eye roll as answered Demon's question. " It's been going on for two months now."

Damon snorts as he pinched the bridge of his nose. He dropped his hand as he looks at both of his former best friend and wife." So, let me get this straight. You two have been... fucking each other, for two months now, behind my back. Am I right?"

" Damon, you're hardly ever home anymore, and when you are actually home. We barely talk anymore. I was lonely Damon, and I-".

" And you needed Mason. " Damon finished for her as he ran his hands down his face." Well guess what? Since you need him so much Katherine. There's absolutely no reason for me to stay." Damon said as he shrugs his shoulders and turned around and left the room and quickly walked back down stairs, and out the house after he slammed the front door shut. As Damon started to walk back towards his car, he stopped suddenly when he looked over at Mason's Mustang. Looking up at his bedroom window Damon gritted his teeth as he picked up a brick and threw it at Mason's car breaking the car window as he wax imagining it being Mason's face.

Satisfied with what he did, Damon got behind the wheel and once he closed his door,he speed out of his driveway headed to a hotel, to crash for the night. Tomorrow morning Damon was going to drive to Mystic Falls. To clear his head and get away from Katherine and Mason.

Damon tossed his head back as he took another shot of the bourbon. Slamming the glass down, Damon had the bartender pour him another glass as he looked to the side and noticed Mason sat down beside him. " Your late." he said with irritation.

" I know, I was with Katherine."

Damon scoffs as he lifted his glass to his lips." Of course you were." He said as he took a huge drink and let out a deep breath as he could feel the smooth bourbon running down his throat." So, are you going to tell me the real reason for wanting to meet up? Because like, I get back to Mystic Falls soon. "

Mason exhales deeply and started to explain himself." I was going to tell you about Katherine and I sooner, but Katherine didn't me want to tell you. She wanted us to keep our affair from you for as long as possible. That night you walked in on us, I told Katherine that it was time to tell you and she agreed."

" Gee... thanks buddy." Damon said sarcastically with a eye roll." Got a point to all of this?"

" Look, I am not going to sit here and act like things between us are going to be cool again, or that we're going to be like best friends again. Because I know that I betrayed you, and all I can say is that I'm sorry. But I also want you to know is that, I love her Damon and I won't apologize for that."

Damon didn't say anything as he shrugs his shoulders and stood up and grabs his jacket. " Well, you can have her. Because she's not my concern anymore." Damon said as he patted Mason's back before walking away from him and out of the bar.

The next day arriving to Mystic Falls airport six hours later, Caroline was happy to be getting off the plane finally, and getting something to eat. The food on the airplane wasn't really all that great and not nearly enough to satisfy her appetite, and since she's eating for two now, she was starving. But she was more excited to be home again, and she can't wait to see her friends again, especially her mom.

Getting off the plane Klaus slide his hands into hers as he locked his fingers through his." You ready to go, love? "He asked as he raised her hand up against his lips and kisses the back of her hand gently.

Caroline nods her head." Yeah, lets go get our suit cases and meet up with Elena and Bonnie at the grill." She answered with a huge smile as she was very excited to see her friends again. This is gonna be a great weekend.

Both Bonnie and Elena were sitting at their usual table at the grill with their drinks waiting for Caroline and Klaus to show up. Elena took a sip of her drink as she cleared her throat as she started to speak." So, as you know Jenna and Ric are thinking of doing a family dinner next month." She reminded Bonnie as she decided to bring it up again and she wanted to talk to Bonnie about it.

Bonnie sighs for a moment as she nods her head." I know, and I know that you want me to come. But I don't think I'm coming." As much as Bonnie wants to go to the Saltzman's for the family dinner. Bonnie feels now that her and Jeremy was officially over, it wouldn't feel right to be there. Actually it would totally feel very awkward for her especially if he's gonna bring Anna with him.

" Why? Because of Jeremy?"

" And because of Anna. I mean don't you think that I would feel uncomfortable around them. Not to mention very awkward as well. " Bonnie answered with a shrug. Bonnie is really trying to get over Jeremy and she knows that if she's in the same room with him it might not happen.

" I get your point and I totally understand Bon, but come anyways. You know you want to. The family dinner won't be the same Bonnie, and don't worry about Jeremy and Anna. I will make sure they'll keep their distance." Elena said with a smile as she tried to convince Bonnie to come over.

Bonnie blew out some air as she knew there was no way she was going to be able to get out of it." Alright, I will come to the family dinner. But I swear the moment your brother ends up saying something that might piss me off, then I'm out the door." Bonnie warned Elena.

Elena nods her head in agreement." Don't worry I'll handle Jeremy."

Bonnie nods her head as she believes and knows Elena will handle her little brother. Then Bonnie's face broke into a huge smile as soon as she noticed Caroline and Klaus walking into the grill." Hey Caroline, over here!" Bonnie called out as she waved them over.

" Bonnie!" Caroline exclaims with excitement as she threw her arms around her best friend and pulled Bonnie into a hug." Oh, I've missed you so much." Caroline said with a giggle as she let Bonnie go and turned her attention to Elena.

" Of course I've missed you too." Caroline said with a chuckle as she pulled Elena into a hug.

" It's good to see you too Care." Elena said with a light chuckle. Letting Caroline go Elena looks over at Klaus who was standing behind Caroline." Hey Klaus." She said with a nod. Elena and Klaus never really gotten a long at first mainly because in the beginning she didn't trust Klaus with Caroline. When Elena first met Klaus when Caroline introduced him, she first thought Klaus was just a asshole with money. She still thinks he's an asshole with more money, but now she can just tolerate him out of respect for Caroline.

" Hey there Elena." Klaus said with small smirk as he sat down beside Caroline." Hello Bonnie, you look lovely today." He said with a complaint as he leans forward and gave Bonnie a friendly kiss on her cheek.

" Awe, why thank you Klaus." Bonnie said with a small giggle as she reached for her glass and takes a drink before setting it back down. " So, how was your guys flight?" She asked as she cleared her throat a moment later.

Caroline exasperatedly sighs with a eye roll." Long and tiring." She answered as she picked up the menu and started to look through as she was trying to find something she wanted to eat. Looking up Caroline noticed Vicky Donavan, Matt Donovan's sister walking across the grill." Hey Vicky." Caroline called out as she was ready to order.

" Hey guys. Ready to order?" Vicky asked as she pulled out her and pencil as she gets ready to take everyone's orders. Once she got all of their orders. She nods her head." I will come back with your guys orders as soon as possible. " She said as she took the menus from them all and walked back towards the kitchen.

" So, Elena. Where's Stefan?" Klaus asked as he thought Stefan was going to join them for lunch. As matter of fact Klaus expected to see Stefan as he didn't want to feel the odd man out. Considering it's just him and three women sitting at the table.

" Stefan is at home with the kids." Elena answered as she set her glass down after taking another drink. Elena did invite Stefan to come and join with them for lunch, but since he's been working at the police station all week. All Stefan wanted to do was stay home and relax with the kids.

Caroline chuckled a little as she looked over at Klaus and then grabs his hand." Speaking of that. Klaus and I have big news to tell you both." She said as she couldn't keep the huge grin on her face.

" What's the big news?" Elena asked with a small smile.

" We're having a baby." Caroline answered with a chuckle as she felt Klaus kissing the back of her hands as he grins softly at her.

" Wait are you serious?" Bonnie asked in shock as she couldn't believe what she just heard.

Caroline nods her as she couldn't stop laughing with Joy." Yeah, I am serious, I'm pregnant." Caroline answered with a giggle as she heard both of her best friends squeal with excitement and they all stood up and did a group hug as both Bonnie and Elena congrats Caroline on her pregnancy.

When Bonnie sat down she heard her cell chime with a text message. As she picked up her phone and noticed who the text from, she smiles to herself as she set her phone down once Vicki came back with their orders.

" Thanks Vic." Elena said as Vicki set their plates down. As Vicki nods her head and walk away to serve her other customers. Elena looked over at Bonnie with curious. " Was that your grams?"

Bonnie shook her head." No, it was Damon." Bonnie answered as she took a bite of her sandwich. When Bonnie first told Elena that she and Damon have been hanging out, at first Bonnie wasn't sure how Elena was going to feel about it exactly. But when Elena gave Bonnie her approval. Bonnie knew it was okay to keep seeing him.

" Wait, you been seeing Damon Salvatore?" Caroline asked in confusion as she has no idea what's going on right now. " I thought he was married to Katherine."

Bonnie cleared her throat as she glass down." They're getting a divorce."

" Oh... so, you guys are just each other's rebound then. huh?" Caroline asked as she shrugs her shoulders.

Bonnie exhales deeply as rolled her eyes. " No, Damon and I are just friends. Nothing more." She answered as she couldn't really tell her friends that she's starting to have feelings for Damon, when she can't even tell him yet, and not to mention she's not even too sure if her feelings for Damon is even real.

" When so when is Damon coming back?" Elena asked.

Bonnie smiles softly. " He's coming home tonight." Bonnie honestly can't wait to see Damon as she really has been missing him these past few days, and she has been dying to know how the dinner went with Katherine his soon to be ex wife, and her parents. Bonnie was little worried about that, and she's hoping that Katherine didn't get to him.

AN: Took me a few days to write this chapter, and now it's done and I think I got everything just right. Expect more Damon and Bonnie moments coming soon.
