The group chatted with Lucy and Haiku, keeping details about Zim's alien origin out of conversation, and shared a few laughs and shocks.
"You have ten siblings?!" Zim asked with wide eyes. "That means that your mother gave birth...1, 2, 11 times?!"
"That's the usual reaction people have when they hear about us." Lucy said with a nod.
"Yeesh! Our mom, rest her soul, declared she had enough after having May." Lee stated as Lily came towards them with another man, both of them holding trays of food and drinks.
"Thanks for the help, Kotaro." Lily told the man with a smile before they served everyone their food. "Here are your orders everyone."
"Enjoy!" Kotaro said with a smile of his own before he and Lily walked around towards the other customers at tables or ready to be seated, leaving the group to their food.
"Dig in, everyone." said Gaz before she started on her own, with almost everyone else following. The only one to not eat yet was Zim, who was staring intently at it while poking it with his fork.
"What? You a vegetarian or something?" Marie asked after swallowing her first bite.
"Meat and certain things in the water burn him on contact." Gaz explained before looking at Zim with an apologetic look. "Sorry Zim. I should've told you there's meat in it."
"Maybe it won't hurt him this time?" May offered. "I mean, he did take that shot that turned hi-poofht!"
"Ix-nay!" Lee harshly whispered while elbowing May in the ribs.
"May is right. Maybe it won't hurt? If nothing else, I'll order something else for you." Gaz offered, earning a grateful smile from her boyfriend.
"Thanks Gaz." he said before turning back to his meal. He took his silverware and carefully cut a small piece before bringing it up in front of his mouth. "Well...here goes." he whimpered before putting it into his mouth. The others watched as he chewed it once...twice...
After the third chew, his eyes shot open and his fake pupils dilated and he just sat there, completely motionless.
"Is he...alright?" Lucy asked.
"I don't know." Gaz answered before she waved her hand in front of his face. "Zim? You in there?"
"...this...is...DELICIOUS!" he suddenly declared before he started tearing into his food.
"I think he likes it." Haiku said with a smile, earning chuckles from the women before they all went into their own meals.
"Your dad makes one mean lasagna, Lucy." Lee complimented.
"I may order a second helping." Susie added.
"Yeah. When my siblings and I were children, we'd almost always fight over his leftovers." Lucy said, a ghost of a smile coming across her lips.
"More please!" Gir shouted after licking his plate clean.
"What he said!" May added after finishing her own food.
"I desire another helping-No! Two more helpings!" Zim demanded with a grin.
"Three helpings for me!" came a woman's voice. Everyone turned to see a woman with long blonde hair and brown eyes dressed in a light red hoodie, blue jeans, and grey sneakers sitting at the table next to theirs. "Sorry. I couldn't resist joining in." the woman chuckled with a kind smile.
"Pretty Lady!" Gir said in a happy tone, making the woman giggle.
"I guess you guys like my dad's cooking?" Lily asked with a laugh as she approached their table. "We could hear you all from inside the kitchen. So, how many more servings will you be ordering?"
"I'm afraid that they won't be ordering anything from this eating establishment." came a snobby voice.
Everyone in the restaurant turned to see a small and very elderly man in fancy clothing, a walking stick, and silk top hat walk into the restaurant, with a woman with brown hair in a bun and grey business suit accompanying him.
"Uh oh." the blonde woman muttered before pulling her hood up onto her head and turning away.
"Who's that?" Marie asked before noticing Haiku clawing at the table.
"Tetherby!" Lucy growled through clenched teeth while Lily's pencil snapped in her grip.
"That old fart's still alive?" Gaz asked as Tetherby and the woman waltzed in and came up to an irate Lily.
"Welcome to Lynn's Table. What can I get you, Mr. Tetherby?" Lily asked with a forced smile and calm tone.
"First off, it's Lord Tetherby, you ignorant peasant." Tetherby said in a snooty tone. "And second, you can get your father out here. Chop Chop!"
"I'LL...go get him. Right. Away." Lily got out after stopping herself from roaring at Tetherby before turning and walking towards the kitchen, her smile shifting into an enraged frown.
"Hmph. I'm amazed this eatery is still in business with how slow the service is." Tetherby huffed in annoyance.
"Okay, who is that guy?" Lee asked as she and her sisters all joined in glaring at him.
"That's Mr. Tetherby. Richest guy in town, and absolute asshole." Haiku explained.
"He always looks down on everyone else because he sees them as poor. Only has expensive everything. Food, clothing, furniture for his mansion. If it doesn't cost a fortune, he doesn't like it." said Lucy.
"Well if he's here, then wouldn't that mean he likes the food?" May asked.
"I wish." Lucy huffed as Lynn Loud, a balding man with grayish brown hair and wearing a chef's hat, green sweater, and brown slacks and shoes, approached Mr. Tetherby.
"Mr., err, I mean, Lord Tetherby. What brings you to my restaurant today?" Lynn asked with a nervous smile. "Changed your mind about trying my food?"
"Hardly." Tetherby scoffed before smiling himself. "Actually, I'm just here to watch."
"Watch what?" Lynn asked before the woman stepped forward, gaining everyone's attention.
"Miss Baxtil from the Bank?" Lucy muttered as the woman handed Lynn a docket of papers with a sad frown. Lynn looked at the papers before a look a shock and horror came across his face.
"The bank's foreclosing on my restaurant?! But why?!" he asked
"You missed the last few payments. Because of this, you have broken the agreement on your loan. Henceforth, as per stated in the contract, the bank is now repossessing your restaurant." Miss Baxtil explained.
"What are you talking about?! I made the payments! I sent them through the mail like I've always done!" Lynn countered.
"We have received no payments from you for the last three weeks." Miss Baxtil said.
"But this just can't be!" Lynn yelled, looking both angry and ready to burst into tears. "Look, I can make the payments! I can even pay before you close today! I'll just dip into the emergency funds and-"
"Mr. Loud!" Miss Baxtil snapped before calming down and staring at Lynn, her eyes growing soft. "It's too late, Mr. Loud. The decision has been made."
Lynn Loud, Patriarch of the Loud family, just stared into nothing before his legs gave out and he fell to his knees, silent tears streaming down his wrinkled face.
"Dad!" Lucy and Lily yelled as they ran up to their father.
"...my restaurant...my dream..." he whimpered.
"Alright. Suck it up and pack it up, Loud." Tetherby grunted before turning to the customers. "And all of you? Get out of here! This establishment is now property of the bank, and if you're not out in the next 30 seconds, you'll be arrested for trespassing."
"What is the matter with you?!" Lily yelled as she and Lucy comforted their father. "You just crushed our dad's dream and you won't even let him grieve?!"
"He can cry and walk out of here at the same time." Tetherby huffed before noticing Gir standing before him. "And what do you want, you strange little child?"
"I'm gonna throw up on you~" Gir sang before suddenly hurling on Tetherby, drenching his head and outfit in barf.
"Bleargh! Pffbt! Good Heavens! It's in my mouth!" Tetherby hollered as he spat and wiped the vomit off his face. The customers all began to laugh while Tetherby glared at Gir. "YOU VILE LITTLE URCHIN! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MUCH THESE CLOTHES COST?! YOU COULD WORK THREE JOBS FOR YOU ENTIRE LIFE, AND YOU WOULDN'T EVEN COME CLOSE TO AFFORDING THE POCKET LINT OF THESE PANTS!"
"I doubt they're that expensive." Zim scoffed as he approached. "So sorry about my kid brother. Poor guy has a bit of a bad stomach."
"And who, pray tell, are you?!" Tetherby asked while trying to wipe the rest of the vomit off himself.
"Zim." Zim said before pulling out a checkbook. "I'll pay for a replacement for your clothing. How much?"
"Hmph! I highly doubt you could afford these. My socks alone are made from the finest-"
"Yeah yeah, blah blah blah, they're expensive! Who cares?!" Zim snapped as he wrote out a check and handed it to the portly man. Tetherby glared in annoyance of being interrupted before staring at the check, then promptly doing a double take.
"$50,000?" he asked, much to everyone's surprise.
"You got a problem? If you don't want it, I'll take it back." Zim said with an irked expression.
"No no! I'll take it. It's just enough to pay for my clothes your brother ruined." Tetherby said before blinking. "Zim...Why does that name sound familiar?"
"You don't play video games, do you?" Zim asked with a small chuckle, which annoyed Tetherby.
"Zim...Very interesting." the blonde woman muttered as Lucy, Lily, Kotaro, and another man named Grant walked with a sobbing Lynn Loud out the door, followed by the blonde woman and everybody else. The customers all dispersed, but not before throwing angry looks at Tetherby, who looked like he didn't give a shit about closing down one of the best restaurants in town. The only ones still outside were Mr. Loud, his daughters Lucy and Lily, Haiku, the kitchen staff, Zim and his girlfriends, and Mr. Tetherby and Miss Baxtil, the latter of which was putting up a sign that declared the restaurant out of business. The sight of the sign only served to make Lynn sob louder.
"Enough crying already. You're a grown man, Mr. Loud. Besides, if you hadn't skipped on your payments, your restaurant wouldn't have closed down." said Tetherby.
"He did make the payments, you fat jerk!" Lily snapped. "And don't think we don't know what's going on?! The reason this is crap keeps happening is because-mmph!"
"Lily! Don't! Remember what happened to Lynn?" Lucy quietly hissed while clapping her hand over Lily's mouth. Lily could only growl at Tetherby, who merely smirked at her, knowing it would get under the Loud's skin.
"Hey." Gaz whispered to Haiku. "Has something been happening here?"
"Tetherby's been having the bank shut down various businesses around town, most of which were places the Loud family either liked to frequent or worked at through underhanded ways by using his money and influence." Haiku whispered back. "Even had mine and Lucy's mortuary closed last week."
"Is that so?" Gaz asked while glaring at Tetherby herself.
"Well, I've seen all that I wanted." said the fat man as he walked towards a white stretch limo, a butler opening the door and deploying steps for him to walk up.
"Rotten Tetherby and his stupid limo." Lily growled under her breath.
"Oh please. That vehicle's nothing compared to Gaz's ride." Zim scoffed, an action that made Tetherby stop halfway up the steps.
"Excuse me?" he asked, looking and sounding rather insulted.
"Uh oh. He shouldn't have said that." Lucy said, a tinge of worry in her voice.
"Why?" asked May.
"There are three things Tetherby hates the most. Poor people, fast food restaurants, and people saying anything negative about his prized limo." Haiku explained while watching Tetherby walk towards Zim until he was right in front of the irken.
"Are you saying that my personal, one-of-a-kind, imported limousine, is insignificant to a vehicle owned by this...this..."
Whatever he was about to say got stuck in his throat when he and everyone else felt the ground begin to shake ever so slightly.
"An earthquake?" Lily wondered out loud.
"Nah. I just called my limo." Gaz answered
"Your limo?" Tetherby asked with a disbelieving tone.
"WHAT IS THAT?!" Lily screamed. Everyone looked to see the ship, in the same shape it was in when they left Peach Creek, roll down the road towards them all until it stopped next to them all, it's massive figure overshadowing Tetherby's limo.
"Say hello to The Almighty Limousine. But I like to call it my ride." Gaz explained.
Everyone outside the group were staring at it with wide eyes, with Tetherby's jaw nearly coming unhinged as well.
"Wow." Lily muttered as the 'limo' opened up and produced a staircase, which Gaz began to climb.
"You guys want a lift?" Gaz asked before shooting a look over her shoulder at Tetherby. "Sorry. No rich snobs allowed."
"Eh? Whuh?" Tetherby answered, his mind still reeling from the oversized vehicle. By the time his marbles were all back in line, The Almighty Limousine was already leaving, with the group, Louds, and Haiku inside. The rich old man stared in the direction it went for a moment before looking back at his limousine, with the butler staring in the same direction with wide eyes. He then scowled in the direction that Gaz's ride went before taking a deep breath and composing himself. He then calmly walked into his own limousine and viewed the lavish inside. "Well, it may be bigger than my limo, but the inside is probably nothing but third-rate upholstery."
"This is not a limo." Lucy said in a monotone voice.
"You got that right! It's a freaking mansion on wheels!" Lily finished as she and the other newcomers stared at the various objects inside the different sections of the limousine. Objects that hadn't been there until Gaz ordered the limo, since she couldn't say ship in front of the newcomers, to pull out all the stops.
"A TV, fine leather couch, proper lighting, a bathroom...Lily's right. This place is practically a lavish mobile home." Haiku commented.
"And you're only seeing a fraction of what I can do."
"What do you mean 'what you can do?'" Haiku asked Gaz.
"I didn't say anything. That was the onboard computer system. It has a personality routine to mimic my personality." Gaz explained
"Nice to meet you. Don't wreck anything in here." the ship greeted with a warning.
"I don't know if Lana or Lisa would want to see this limo more." Lily said after a moment.
"Lisa for the computer. Lana for the engine." Lucy said before turning to her father, who hadn't said a word. "Dad. You gonna be okay?"
"...No. I'm not." Lynn finally said as he sat on the couch, head resting in his hands. "My dream just got crushed, and I can't do a thing about it."
"Pardon my language, but that's bullshit!" Lily cursed. "We all know that you've been making the payments through the mail."
"I'm curious. Why are you even making payments at all? I thought you owned the restaurant." Gaz spoke up.
"It's Tetherby." Lucy growled. "That greedy, dark soul has been doing nothing but causing all kinds of trouble for everyone. Especially my family."
"Like what?" Lee asked.
"Like buying up different plots of land and making local businesses pay rent to keep them going. And if they don't pay, the bank will repossess them." Lynn answered before sniffling again. "Like my restaurant!"
"Squeak?"
"Of course my dad's been paying!" Lily snapped, then wondered how she understood a flying toy before going back to the issue. "He's been making them ever since Tetherby bought the area that the restaurant's in."
"Then why was that lady saying you isn't paying up?" Gir asked. The Louds and Haiku all seemed a little hesitant to answer, with Lily looking ready to explode.
"If you're worried about anything getting back to Tetherby, then don't. The limo's soundproof." said Gaz.
"No sound gets in our out without me allowing it." the ship explained. "A nuke could go off and you wouldn't hear a thing in here."
"Mr. Tetherby...IS A ROTTEN, FAT, MONEY GRUBBING RAT BASTARD!" roared the youngest of the Loud children.
"Lily!" Lynn snapped with a disapproving glare.
"I'm serious! That guy has been doing nothing but hurt everybody in town! Why?! I don't know! But what I do know is that he's been putting us in the crosshairs for a while now! And I'm not just talking about the restaurant! He closed down the concert hall that Luna would perform in whenever she's in town a month ago! And shortly after, he got his hands on the dentist's office that mom worked at!"
"He also closed the local Burpin' Burger too." Lucy added before looking at their father.
"You don't need to say anything. Even I like a nice burger and to relax instead of cooking it." he said with a smile, which she returned.
"And last week, he closed down mine and Lucy's mortuary." Haiku finished. "It's truly a shame that we can't help the dead rest by making their corpses presentable to their grieving families."
"And my restaurant was the latest to be taken away." Lynn Sr. lamented. "And it's not just businesses. He's also been taking-"
Without warning, Lynn stopped speaking and went deathly pale. Lily wasn't far behind, and Lucy seemed to go as white as Susie.
"You don't think..." Lucy began before Lynn suddenly shot up and turned to Gaz.
"Take me to the bank!" he suddenly yelped.
"The bank? Why-"
"There's no time! Hurry!" he pleaded.
"Alright, but you better explain on the way." Gaz huffed before ordering the 'limo' to head towards the bank. "Now, what's going on?"
"Mr. Tetherby hasn't just been shutting down businesses. He's also been buying land that families live on and has been foreclosing on them." Lucy explained.
"My dad's been making the payments on them too by mail, just like with the restaurant. But if the bank hasn't been receiving payments for that, then they may not be receiving any for the house!" Lily finished in horror.
"Computer! Step on it!" Gaz ordered.
"Stepping on it." the 'limo' replied before picking a new route and heading straight for the bank. After a few tense minutes, the 'limo' announced their arrival to the bank.
"Okay. I'm simply going to head on in, ask if any payments are late, and pay in case they are." Lynn said to them all before exiting the 'limo' and walking towards the bank. He walked in, got in line, waited until his turn came, walked to the female at the desk-
"Oh! Uh, sorry! I'm, uh, out to lunch!"
-and was stunned when the woman flipped out and slammed the shutter of the desk shut.
"What the heck?" he muttered before shaking his head. "Don't think about it right now. Just think about making the house payment."
With that in mind, he got in line to another teller, waited in line as the people in front were taken care of, walked up to the desk-
"Ooooh, sorry. I'm on break."
-and was met with another teller slamming the shutter closed.
"Seriously?!" Lynn Sr. huffed before going to another line. Wait in line, approach the teller-
"I'm, uh, allergic to chefs!"
-and another teller-
"Sorry! I don't handle old men!"
-and another-
"Nope!"
-until every teller in the bank had slammed the shutter down.
"ARE YOU BLOODY KIDDING ME?!" Mr. Loud roared after being denied being seen once again. "THERE IS NO WAY THAT EVERYONE SUDDENLY BECAME UNAVAILABLE RIGHT AS I FINALLY GET TO THE FRONT OF THE LINE!"
"Mr. Loud?"
The Loud Patriarch turned to see three security guards standing behind him, with the one in the middle standing farther in the front.
"I'm afraid I'm gonna have to ask you to leave." he said.
"What? Why?!" Lynn asked.
"Yelling in the bank and disturbing both bank tellers and other patrons." the guard explained.
"I need to make payments on my house, but every time I approach the teller, they suddenly have some reason that they can't see me and-"
"That's not our concern. You need to leave. Now!" the guard interrupted with a glare, which Mr. Loud returned.
"I am not leaving until I make a payment!" he declared.
Mr. Loud screamed in fright as he was launched out of the front door of the bank by the three guards before hitting the pavement.
"You and your family are officially banned from this bank!" the guard declared before slamming the door shut.
"Dad!" Lucy and Lily yelled as they ran out of the 'limo' toward their father, who was just lying face down on the ground.
"What happened?" Lee asked as she and the rest of them hurried out as well to help Mr. Loud sit up.
"I don't know. Every time I approached a teller, they made up some excuse and wouldn't see me. And now I'm banned and can't even ask about the payments!" Lynn explained. "Now what am I going to do?"
"Why not try the post office?" asked the mystery woman, making half of them jump at her sudden presence.
"Where'd you come from?!" Marie asked after calming down.
"I walked here." she said. "Sorry if I'm butting in, but I overheard your problem and wanted to offer any help I could."
"Oh. Well, thank you ma'am." Lynn Sr. said with a smile as he stood up. "And I think I will take your suggestion, Miss...where'd she go?"
Everyone looked to see that, in the moment they had their attention on Lynn Sr., the woman had vanished.
"Pretty lady gone!" Gir yelled.
"I like her style." Lucy commented before turning to her father. "Let's get to the post office before it closes."
"Right. Hopefully they can sort out why my payments didn't get to the bank." he said, a twinge of hope returning to him.
"AND STAY OUT!" roared the post master as Lynn Sr. was thrown out of the post office. "NO LOUDS FOREVER!"
"I cannot believe this! I didn't even get to ask before they threw me out!" Mr. Loud lamented as his children helped him up.
"Something about this stinks worse than the dump back home." Lee said with crossed arms.
"Indeed. It seems that something is trying swallow our all our hopes into an unforgiving darkness." Lucy commented.
"And I think I see the heart of darkness approaching." Haiku said with a scowl as she watched a familiar limo slowly drive by. Everyone saw Tetherby from the back of the limo looking at them all with a smug grin as it drove by, sending a wave of anger throughout them all before the limo drove on.
"NOT FUNNY!" Lily yelled while shaking her fist at him before sighing and slouching.
"Well, I guess that's it." Lynn said in a defeated tone. "I guess the only thing left to do is to go home, pack up, and look for a new place to live."
"What?!" the Loud sisters yelped.
"Dad, you can't do that! You can't let Tetherby win!" Lily pleaded.
"She's right. There's got to be a way to stop him." Lucy added.
"Girls...I'm glad to hear you wanting to keep fighting, but let's face facts. Tetherby's got this town in the palm of his hand. He can do whatever he wants." Lynn said before he started walking off. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go home, cry throughout the night, and give Tetherby the deed to the house tomorrow. Maybe he'll drop whatever charges he's got against junior if I beg enough."
"Dad, you can't-"
"End of discussion!" Lynn interrupted, tears in his eyes as he kept walking. Everyone watched the old man keep walking, with the Loud sisters having tears in their eyes.
"I can't watch this."
Everyone turned to Susie, a fire in her eyes and her hands clenched into fists.
"I cannot watch as another monster use their money to ruin lives like they do not matter." she hissed out. "Not again."
"Again?" Lucy said in confusion.
"Have you heard of a place called Hill Valley?" Gaz asked them.
"I heard on the news. A lot of rich people were arrested not that long ago." Lily answered.
"I lived there. I was one of many who lived in the Valley, where we were all mistreated by the people up in the Hills. One of them nearly...had their way with me, and the police did nothing." Susie explained, anger burning in her heart at the reminder before she looked at Gaz and Zim. "If they hadn't of come along...well, I don't want to think about what would've happened."
"Yikes." Haiku muttered with wide eyes.
"Exactly. And I refuse to sit by and watch it happen all over again!" Susie declared.
"You mean you'll help us?" Lily asked with a hopeful smile.
"That depends? Are you asking?" Zim asked with a smile of his own, which was soon on all their faces.
"Hate to break up the good mood, but can someone get this note off me?" asked the 'limo.'
"What note?" May asked.
"The one that blonde woman from earlier stuck on my windshield while you all weren't looking." it said, indicating the piece of paper wedged under the fake wiper blades. The group was a little baffled as Lee, the closest to the note, took it and unfolded the paper before reading it out loud.
"'Speak to Miss Baxtil. She knows. But don't let Tetherby find out.
-L.G.'"
"That banker woman from before?" Zim asked. "Wasn't she the one who handed your father the papers before closing his restaurant?"
"She was. I don't trust her." Haiku stated, with the two Loud sisters nodding.
"But if that lady was all bad, why she look so sad?" Gir asked.
"She did look like she didn't want to give him those papers." Marie said, remembering the sad look on Miss Baxtil's face when she did so.
"We'll ask her about it along with all that she knows about Tetherby." Lily decided.
"That may be difficult. If she's from the bank, she may react like how all those others did if she sees us coming." Lucy pointed out.
"What if we make it so she can't avoid us?" Zim suggested.
"You mean corner her?" Haiku asked.
"Indeed. And if she doesn't feel like talking, a little...persuasion could loosen her lips." Zim said with a cruel chuckle.
"I like it." Lily agreed while chuckling herself. "Now, what do we do about Tetherby?"
"That's easy. Gaz and Zim can simply talk to him." said Lucy.
"And what makes you think he's going to talk to either of us?" Gaz asked.
"Simple. You're both rich, and you have a gigantic limo." Lucy stated while pointing at the two of them and Gaz's ride.
"That's it?" Lee asked.
"Yeah. My brother won a free ride in a limo once. Tetherby treated him like an equal and even invited him to join this club. When the limo service was up, Lincoln was kicked out, and Tetherby wanted nothing to do with him. He changed his mind when he saw Lincoln in the limo again a little later." Lucy explained.
The others all stared at her for a moment before May spoke.
"That Tetherby guy is superficial, shallow, and just plain stupid." she said, earning nods from everyone.
"Which is why it'll be easy to get close to him and keep his attention." Lucy said with a smile.
"And if he thinks that we think the same way he thinks about rich and poor people, we can make him think we're on his side and have him tell us what he's thinking." Zim said with a grin.
"...what?" Gir asked.
"He means we'll try and get Tetherby to gloat about whatever his plans are to us." Gaz explained.
"Oooooooh...what?" Gir repeated, making Gaz roll her eyes.
"So you guys talk to Tetherby, and we'll go and grill Miss Baxtil." Marie summarized.
"That's the plan." Gaz nodded. "Now all we need to do is track them both down."
"I don't know about Miss Baxtil, but Tetherby should be heading for his country club." Lily answered before scowling. "Probably there with the other members laughing it up at our misery."
"Then that's where Zim and I are headed. Now, to find Miss Baxtil." Gaz said.
"Squeak."
"Really? That's where she is?" Haiku asked.
"Squeak!"
"How do you know that?" Susie asked.
"Squeak."
"Huh. Well, that makes sense." May nodded.
"Alright. Let's make a rich bastard cry." Gaz grinned.
-Meanwhile-
A few blocks away in an alley was a black sedan, it's driver waiting for at the wheel. His eyes sharpened for a moment when a figure began to approach from the street, but relaxed when he saw it was the mystery woman from before.
"Don't get out." she told him when he reached for the handle. "I don't plan on getting in just yet."
"Very well." said the man as the woman approached his window, which he lowered to talk to her properly. "Did you meet the ones from your visions?"
"Yep. And I believe that they truly are the ones who will bring Tetherby down." said the woman with a smile. "I left them a note to get them started." Her smile gained a cheeky undertone as she continued. "And you said coming out here a month early was a waste of time."
"And once again, you have proven me wrong." said the man with a sigh. "Still, what are we to tell your mother and father?"
"That any and all future business deals with Lord Tetherby are to be halted." she said, her smile disappearing into a serious frown. "From what I have seen of the man, helping him would only spread misery to this town."
"Very well." the man nodded as he took out his phone. "I'll inform your parents of your evaluation."
"Thank you, Leon. If you need me, I'll be around town." said the woman as she turned to leave.
"Understood. Please be safe, Miss Grace." Leon said with a smile.
"I told you Leon. Just call me Lin." she said, her smile returning as she walked out of the alley. "Now, to see everything play out."
Bet none of you expected this, huh? Well, I did it. Special thanks to LoamyCoffee for their help once again. If Miss Baxtil appears as Miss Monroe sometimes, it's because I changed the name and may have missed changing it in some places. Please tell me so I can fix it.
