Ben 10 Ultimate Hero EP 21: Monster Weather

I don't own anything except my OCs.

Intro:

A green glowing, steel pod was flying through space, hurtling towards earth as it crashed, making a huge green flash.

The camera zooms out from the glowing symbol on the Ultimatrix as Ben looks up close at it.

He then activates it while smirking at the camera, raising his hand high and slapping it down on the core.

The background turns all green as Ben morphs into Four Arms, who pumps his upper fists while cracking his lower ones with a smirk.

A white number appears on the left side, starting at 1.

"Ben 10!"

2: Heatblast ignites 2 fireballs in his hands.

"Ben 10!"

3: XLR8 zooms into the right.

4: Diamondhead swaps his right arm across as it turns into a blade.

"Ben 10!"

5: Cannonbolt uncurls and poses.

"Ben 10!"

"Ben 10!"

6: Upgrade stretches out of his puddle form.

7: Grey Matter hops off the 7 and lands into a crouch, giving a thumbs up and a smile.

"Ben 10!"

8: Water Hazard slides in on his water blasts and raises his fists.

"Ben 10!"

9: Wildvine extends his legs and stretches out his right fingers while holding seeds in his left one, chucking them offscreen.

10: Big Chill phases through the number and floats briefly before zooming near the camera.

"Ben 10!"

Big Chill's head turns back into Ben's as it rotates.

The camera zooms out to reveal Max and Gwen by his side.

Ben gave a low-five to his grandfather as Gwen crossed her arms and shook her head playfully with a smile.

The 2 then ran off-screen, making Ben run towards the camera with a determined look.

He then froze as his aliens appeared in heroic poses on each of the kid's sides, 5 on each side just as the title appeared on a black background with green rays emerging from the title.

The Tennysons were in sunny Chicago as they were visiting something Max wanted to do during the Summer: The Rocking Chicago music festival. As crowds of people were excited as they entered the festival filled with music of all kinds and famous bands, the kids were looking around and saw their grandfather, now dressed like a hippie, grin at them. "Come on! We're going to be late!" Both cousins look at each other as Ben asks out. "Late for what? Like anything is going to happen during some lame music festival."

Just then, the kids spot a weatherman next to a strange robot. "So, expect another scorcher with highs in downtown Chicago to top 90." "And with no rain in sight, it's enough to make my cranium rotate." The robot spun its top part as the man chuckled. "Not so fast, Sam. This meteorologist thinks Chicago's drought might be over. This is Vance Vetteroy, reporting." The cameraman stops recording as Vance checks up on his script, only to be startled by the Tennyson kids as Ben exclaims. "Hey! You're the weather guy! We saw you and your robot on TV last night." Gwen then giggles as her cousin's hair stands on end as he places his hand on one of the electric orbs, but Vance frowns. "The Sounding Anemometer Metagraphy is not some robot. He's a sophisticated weather monitoring apparatus, created by me. But corrupted by a News Station, merely after a gimmick."

Both kids were not sure what to make of the last bit, so Gwen just gave an uncertain 'O.K.' and ran after their grandfather, as Ben whispered to his cousin. "And I thought the Weatherheads were weirdos." Once they are gone, Vance opens a panel as S.A.M. notices. "Vance. What are you doing?" "What I should have been doing in the 1st place. Reprogramming your circuity. When you ascend past the troposphere, you'll release a hydro-oxygen solution, creating a gathering of clouds, and producing rain. Instead of reporting the weather, I'll be making it."

The man smiles and pushes the button on a remote and sends S.A.M.'s top part flying up into the clouds, unnoticed by anyone. The machine comes to hover as it produces smoke and clouds as it slowly turns the skies from sunny to cloudy with a chance of rain. Just as the rain pours down, the music fans just ignore it as Ben notices the drops being splashed onto his phone. He looks up in response and shrugs it off. Suddenly, a stray lightning bolt hits S.A.M., shorting the robot out as it shuts down briefly, only to turn back on as it starts gathering rain around its being as it slowly forms into something.

Back on the ground, Ben cringes at seeing Max dancing like a hippie as his cousin joins in. "Could this get any more embarrassing?" But just on cue from his cursed words, screams filled the air as all eyes were on a giant water monster with multiple tendrils and a large glowing pink eye. "I just had to ask..." The being lashed out a tentacle as everyone dodged out of the way. But as Ben stood up and glanced back, he was shocked to find his phone had smashed to bits! "NO! NOT MY CELL!" The water tentacles start sucking people up as it tries to attack Max and Gwen as well.

"This can't be happening..." "Back online in 10!" Vance snapped out due to the voice of his Cameraman as he picked himself up and spoke on the news. "A... A giant water sprout came up from out of nowhere! An entity with a seemly mind of its own." The camera focuses on the monster in response.

"Please tell me you have something to deal with a giant water creature, Grandpa?!" "Well... I got some sponges, back in the Rust Bucket. But I don't think they can absorb that." Max points out as he and Gwen hide behind the nachos stand, only for Ben to cry out. "All right, water freak! This is personal!" Ben glares at his destroyed phone as he drops it and dials the Ultimatrix. "Time for you to meet the hydro ninja that's going to kick your liquid butt! Going Water Hazard!" FLASH But instead, he turns into Heatblast as he frowns at himself. "Figures... I wanted the water guy and I get the fire dude instead."

"Last I checked, water puts out fire, not the other way around." Heatblast narrows his sockets at his cousin's comment. "Time for my very own science experiment!" Using his flames, the alien rockets upwards and towards the water creature, using fire to slice through the tentacles as Heatblast flies above and then barrages it with tons of fireballs and flame streams on his fire comet surfboard. Only for a water tendril to blast him down, sending him crashing near Max and Gwen as his flame went out, only to reignite as he frowned. "This guy is getting me steamed!" "That's it!" Gwen cries out in realization.

"What's it?" Heatblast glanced at his cousin as she explained. "How to trash that thing! Superheat! Go supernova hot and turn its water into steam." "Uhh... Yeah! I knew that." "By the way, velocity equals intensity. And before you ask, it means the faster you spin; the hotter you get." Heatblast smirks out. "That I can understand!" He took off on a fireball and started spinning around the water monster, as Heatblast groaned out, trying to fight dizziness and nausea as best as he could. "Getting... Dizzy..." As he kept spinning as fast as he could, he formed a large fire cyclone that engulfed the monster and evaporated into a large steam cloud as the clouds above cleared up.

Grandpa Max and Gwen run up, just as the Ultimatrix times out as a victorious Ben steps from the smoke. "Oh yeah! H20 to H2-no!" He sniffs himself and finds himself smelling pleasant, realizing the hot steam bath also managed to clean him up for some reason. "Guess that means no hot showers for me for a while, huh?" "So... what was up with that water monster? Are the Weatherheads back and behind it?" Gwen ponders out as Max gets to thinking. "I'm not so sure... I don't think they were capable of creating a sentient water creature like that. And if they were, we would have spotted them, by now." As Ben shakes his head dry of any water, Max glances up as he voices his thoughts. "It may be a water alien, much like Water Hazard, only made out of the liquid, instead. Some aliens may have the ability to be represented as giant elemental beings."

"Well, if it was from outer space, Heatblast just send it out of sight!" Ben grins out as he rubs his head in glee. "Which means, we can go to the phone store, downtown! New cell phone, here I come!" "Sorry, Ben," Max responds as he states. "We came here for the Music Festival. Besides, we can wait until after it to get you a replacement phone." But Ben pouts as he groans out with crossed arms. "That is so not fair!" "Fair? Let me tell you something, Benjamin. During this Summer, so far, we got dragged to do stuff you want to do, but we never get to do the one thing I want to do!" Max frowns at his grandson's selfish and stubborn behavior as the boy rebuttals. "What about Sparksville? I didn't want to go to that place!" "Yet, in the end, you had a good time." Gwen points out with a raised eyebrow.

"Well... Yeah! But..." Ben scratches his neck as he is unsure how to respond to Gwen's facts as Max shows off a record of his being as he explains. "Ben! You know I waited for this summer to meet Shag Carpeting and you know it." Ben gazes at the album and cringes at the sight of the 70's band with 4 male members. "Those weirdos make Wildvine look normal! Besides, no one listens to records anymore, Grandpa!" "That's not the point!" Max firmly states as he grows more frustrated as Ben insults his favorite band. "No! The point is what's more important: Getting my phone replaced because I trashed some sea freak! Or stay here to listen to some lame group from 40 years ago!"

Both males turn towards the female of the trio as they cry out at the same time. "Gwen! Tell this guy how stubborn he is and explain why he is wrong!" Gwen is not sure because she barely saw her cousin and grandpa fight before. but she knew one thing: With both sharing the same stubbornness, she learned it's best to stay out of it if she doesn't want to get caught in the intense crossfire."You just don't get it!" Surprised at each other, both grandfather and grandson storm off in different directions as Gwen groans out. "This is going to be a long day... Guys! Wait up! Don't you 2 think you're overreacting a bit?!"

Meanwhile, with the crashed S.A.M., Vance found his broken creation as he took it back to the van, glancing back as he took out a screwdriver. "I created it for you. Now it's time to take you apart." "Wait... By readjusting my circuitry, you allowed me to molecular alter the weather. I'm not some gimmick anymore. Now I am everything you wanted me to be." "It's too late." But S.A.M. replies. "It's all about image. And without me, you'll just be another pretty face. Now, do you still want to make it rain?" Vance is unsure as he can't help but get a bad feeling from his creation.

Back with the Tennysons, they walked around the grounds as they observed all sorts of music and stars and bands of every! "It's like they have everything here! Polka, Pop, Rock, Rap, Country! It's a total world beat!" Gwen states as she is impressed by the setup as Ben scoffs out. "More like a total world bore." Max then stops as he grins out at the banner that holds his favorite band. "Hey! The Shag Carpeting autograph booth! Who wants to come with me?" But Ben frowns as he crosses his arms. "You're kidding, right? I rather scrub Hex's feet with my hands than wait in line to get those fossils' autographs!" But Gwen covers his mouth as she grins. "We'll meet you afterward, okay?" "Okay! Be at the stage at 3 for Shag Carpeting, got it?!"

As Max left, Gwen frowned at her rude, annoyed cousin. "What is your deal?! Can you be any ruder!?" "Hey!" Ben cries back. "If Grandpa doesn't care what I want, why should I care about his stupid band?" As the boy walks off, Gwen frowns as she shakes her head at Ben being in one of his moods. But just then, Vance is setting S.A.M. up nearby. "Get ready to go live!" Vance states after finishing as the robot replies. "Everyone in Chicago will remember you forever, Vance." S.A.M. blasts off as Gwen notices, confused as she can't help but get a strange feeling as the robot mumbles out. "But for the wrong reasons."

Meanwhile, with Ben, the boy sneaks off backstage as he whispers as he dials the Ultimatrix. "Who needs Grandpa? I'll just over to the local phone store and get my replacement upgrade myself!" FLASH But as XLR8 steps out, a punk rocker, dressed like a lizard stops him. "Hey, Nigel! Great costume, mate! Now get up here and jam!" Before XLR8 knows it, the man grabs him and places him onto a drum set as the alien notices he is on stage in front of a crowd of screaming fans.

Shrugging and deciding what the heck, he twirls the sticks and starts drumming away like a maniac. But as the alien kept rocking, a large shadow cast over as the alien glanced to see a giant storm cloud with a glowing pink eye as it zapped the stage, making the people run off, screaming. Gwen zapped and gasped in shock as she rolled out of a bolt strike. As the girl glances up, she sees another one heading towards her. But help comes in the form of XLR8 as she snatches away and stops near some stands and sets her down. "Ben! Up there!" She points at the raging cloud.

Vance tries to shut S.A.M. down, but his remote doesn't work. "No! I can't control it! IT'S OVER! YOU HEAR ME!?" "It had just begun." XLR8 tackles Vance out of the way of the blast and he does the same to other people as well. S.A.M. then starts and heads towards the city as he declares. "If you thought the Great Chicago Fire was bad, you haven't seen anything yet, Vance." The rouge robot starts striking trees as it keeps moving towards the windy city and takes off as XLR8 told his family. "I'll follow it!" Shutting his visor, XLR8 speeds off as Gwen exclaims. "Grandpa! We can lose sight of it by the time we get back to the Rust Bucket!" But the elder smirks as he fishes out his keys. "Not to worry! The old Rust Bucket's got a trick or 2 up its sleeves!" Pushing a button on a remote, the RV starts up on its own and drives out of the parking lot, stopping in front of the Tennysons.

As S.A.M. rampages through the city, destroying everything in its path with lightning strikes as the people all manage to evacuate to safety, XLR8 follows after it as the Rmanageket tries to keep up, dodging bolts left and right as Gwen comments. "A water creature and a lightning monster? Are we sure the Weatherheads aren't behind this?" "Doubt it. Something tells me that pink lightning is not a normal thing. Or the strange eye it has." Max comments as Gwen notices the glowing eye she can't help feeling like she had seen it before, but where?

As XLR8 catches up, some explosions block his path as he takes a detour, stopping by a kid who is watching a TV airing a scene from 'Sumo Slammers'! "Whoa! New episode? Cool!" The alien took off and the kid was confused at seeing the alien's reflection, only to spot him gone. XLR8 runs up a building and stops on a rooftop, opening his visor to transport the cloud monster as he leaps up. "Got you now!" "I don't think so." S.A.M. scoffs as he blasts the alien speedster, sending him crashing onto the Rust Bucket's windshield as Gwen cringes. "Okay! I've heard of bugs on windshields, but this is ridiculous!" XLR8 went in as he cried out. "Any ideas on stopping a flying cloudy thing that shoots lightning everywhere?!"

"If only we have something to sort it out..." Gwen ponders as Max comments. "Snowiest winter I've ever spent was Chicago." "Not the time for stories, gramps!" But Max explains to his hyper grandson as he points at some salt trucks. "The city cleared the streets with salt. Kept in trucks to store like those up ahead." "Right..." Gwen breathes out as she realizes the salt can be helpful! "And the sodium in the salt can short-circuit it!

S.A.M. approaches the stadium as it prepares for destruction. "Ahh... The arena at Wrigley Field. Today's forecast calls for destruction!" Vance, driving his news van, chases after his runaway robot as he dodges hazards, mumbling to himself. "'Build yourself a robot partner, Vance. He'll be great for the Action Weather Team!' Sure boss! Whatever you say."

Just then, The Rust Bucket speeds past him, much to his surprise as Gwen told her cousin. "Ben! Since that being is not solid, you've got to spin that thing into those trucks." "I'm on it!" XLR8 took off after shutting his visor and ran on top of a subway, speeding up a skyscraper as he waited for S.A.M. to get closer. "One XLR8 cyclone, coming up!" He cries as he leaps off and spins as fast as he can, turning the cloud into a funnel as it spits S.A.M. out and crashes into the truck, shorting as the salt does its thing.

XLR8 then crashes into a lake, timing out underwater as Ben pops up, taking a breath as notices some fishermen. "Hey, guys." Both men were confused at the sudden appearance of the pre-teen.

Ben catches up with his grandfather and cousin as they stand in front of the overturned truck. "Guess I don't need to take a bath for a month, huh Grandpa?" "Good work, sport!" "No problem!" Ben grins as he shakes his head of any water. "So, on my way back, I spot a phone store! Think we can make a quick stop to get my cell replaced?" "Sorry, Ben. But I'm not sure we have the time to make any stops to get back to the festival. Besides, I'm pretty sure the line is too long to wait." Ben is in dismay as he complains. "Oh, come on! The line is only 10 or 12 people! Besides, I went XLR8 to save the day!"

"Funny... Don't you think it's weird that you're XLR8 before the cloud creature attacks?" Max frowns as he raises an eyebrow Ben looks left and right and answers. "Uh... Yeah... Why?" "Well, is it possible that XLR8 can also zip over to the phone store without Gwen, or I know about it?" Ben frowns at his grandfather as he snaps out. "Oh! You think you're so smart, huh?! Do you have an alien device strapped onto your hand that turns you into creatures from outer space?!" As Gwen shakes her head in dismay, she notices the news van as she frowns, getting in as the RV drives away as Vance watches, before frowning at his creation.

In the RV, Max dials the radio as Gwen feels sorry for her grandfather, wanting to see his favorite band live and in person so badly. "I know how much you want to see Shag Carpeting... Sorry Grandpa." "That's okay... I'll just catch them again at their next 20-year reunion... If there's going to be another one." Max frowns out, only to perk up at the radio! "Due to popular demand, the Shag Carpeting concert will continue at the music festival that has seen its share of destruction, lately! Long live rock, Chicago!" "WOW! How lucky are we?!" Max grins out in excitement as Ben frowns. "Do you want my honest answer?" Nevertheless, The Rust Bucket speeds off to the Music Festival to catch Shag Carpeting!

Back with Vance, he approaches S.A.M. with a metal pipe. "Fool me once, shame on you, S.A.M.! Fool me twice, shame on me. It's time you want offline for good!" But before he can start smashing, the robot speaks out. "I can't let that happen, Vance. You started all this. Now I need to finish this, whether you like it or not." The robot then zaps Vance as it starts surging lighting all over as winds blow hard, blowing Vance's toupee off, much to the man's annoyance at his exposed large bald spot, only to cry out in shock at the sight of his creation transforming before his eyes!

Night has fallen as spotlights lit up, illuminating the stage as the crowd cheers and gets pumped up for the show. "Right on! Isn't this the grooviest!?" Max cries out as Ben rolls his eyes in response as he points out to his cousin. "'Grooviest? And here I thought Grandpa's shirt is the one out of style." Just then, the lights shut off as a spotlight shines on an overweight elder man as he starts with an opening solo on his guitar. The bass player joins in as the curtains part to reveal the drummer as the singer shows up. A strange hum echoes through the air as Max exclaims. "This is the start of Twister Alley! It's really good!" But Ben shakes his head as just then, the wind starts blowing intensely as the rain starts falling, making Gwen notice as she asks out. "When they play that song, does it feel like a tornado is blowing through?" The Tennysons look back to spot a tornado heading towards them. The people notice and run off in a panic.

Suddenly, some blue tentacles grab civilians as they come from a giant water/cement blob monster with a left water arm, a cloudy right arm, and a large purple glowing eye. It fires a bolt from its right arm that blows up a tent. "You got to stop!" Vance cries out from on top of the head as he is trapped in the cement as S.A.M. cries out. "Only until I get my revenge on those who have stopped me before! There you are!" He cries out as he spots the Tennysons, set on revenge.

"This city has some weird weather!" Ben cries out as Max exclaims. "It's like that thing became a combo platter of disaster!" "If you think you can stop me again, you are greatly misinformed!" The family is surprised at the voice of the monster as Gwen voices out her thoughts. "A massive weather monster with the command of the English language?! Okay! This is not the Weatherheads' work!" The wind picks up as the Tennysons are blown away, one by one as they scream out.

Luckily, they landed on the stage, only to split up by 2 bolts of lightning. Ben hid under the bleachers as Max and Gwen took cover behind the equipment. But just then, a familiar hum fills the air as both grandfather and granddaughter hear it. "Wait! Did you hear that humming?" "Yeah!" Gwen replies. "Where have we heard that..." Just then, both eyes widen in realization as they shout at the same time. "The opening of Twister Alley!" Ben, on the other hand, grins as he dials in Four Arms. "Going hero!" FLASH

The device sank into the boy's hand in a burst of energy as muscles and veins grew up his arm onto his head, flashing open his all-green eyes as he felt himself growing bigger and stronger, just as muscles piled onto themselves and became as hard as a rock. Just as the boy's eyes split into 4, 2 extra arms burst out under his main pair as he spun around, just as his skin became red and his armor formed. Four Arms then gave a battle cry as he pumped his arms, grinning out as he posed.

Four Arms burst out of the stage as he glares up at the weather monster. "Time to give you a hand! Or better yet, 4!" He hits it with his sonic clap, making him then run up and slam on the ground, sending a wave of rocks that barely faze the beast. Four Arms quickly got out of the way of some shock blasts as he chucked rocks at the beast, but it didn't work as he realized this may be more difficult than he thought.

"I saw part of that weather robot shoot up into the air! And that weatherman was at the salt trucks when we left!" Gwen points out as she and Max are backstage, messing with some music equipment as Max exclaims. "If the weather robot is its power source and it's sending out that humming, all we need to do is make a sound on the opposite frequency." "And Four Arms can get close enough to sort it out!" Gwen likes the plan as she grabs 2 guitars.

Back with Four Arms, he runs and dodges bolts of pink lightning as he throws a large truck at it. But S.A.M. uses the wind to blow it back, sending Four Arms crashing near the stage as the red big alien stands up and rubs his head in response. "Ben!" He glances back at his grandfather as he exclaims. "The feedback frequency you need is programmed into that amplifier! Get inside that thing and start strumming away on the guitars!" Four Arms catches both guitars as he looks at them. "And get as close to that robot's head as possible." Gwen quickly ducks from a bolt as she cries out. "Fast!" Four Arms nods in response.

He runs at the monster and leaps up, letting the wind blow him up high as he grabs onto a light post. But as the alien glances back, he gasps at seeing a water tentacle coming at him, making him climb up as fast as he can. Just then, water pulls him in, but Four Arms decides to jump and burst out on top of the head. He then rips out a large chunk of it to expose the robot that caused all his problems today. But just as the alien whips out the guitars, Vance cries out as the alien notices the weatherman is stuck in the gunk. "Of course, you're planning to use a frequency on the opposite end of the spectrum to short S.A.M. out! Brilliant!" "Uh... I am? I mean, yeah! Brains and brawn!"

Four Arms smirks as he starts shredding the instruments, rocking out hard as the beast cries out in pain and agony. He did a leap and posed as he kept playing as hard as he could. Only for the Ultimatrix to time out as Ben blinks out. "Okay! So much for brawn..." Suddenly, a water tendril pushed Ben off as the boy cried out, only for the wind to pick him up as he was blown around like a discarded newspaper on a windy day. Luckily, he spots a hose and grabs hold, running along on the monster as he swings back onto the head, grabs the guitar on his back, and strums out a shockwave that blows the water tentacles away.

"You are giving me a headache!" "Does it feel like your head is going to explode!?" Ben grins out as he keeps rocking and rolling. The monster couldn't take any more of Ben's rock music as it cried with pain as it collapsed into a large pile.

As the monster collapses, Ben starts surfing downhill style on the guitar, dodging left and right as he catches some big air. Only to slip off as he falls towards the ground! "OH NOOOO!" Luckily, Grandpa caught him in time. As Ben clams down, he notices he is covered in monster gunk and he shrugs out. "Guess I do need a bath after all." They notice the people have recovered as well and they pull themselves out while spotting Vance, who holds his creation as it shuts down for good, making him toss it aside as the Tennysons go up. "Well... From now on, I'm just reporting the weather, not changing it. Guess there's nothing wrong with just being a handsome face." "Yeah! I know what you mean." Max smiles as the kids giggle and the elder shrugs. "What?"

The concert was back on as Shag Carpeting starts rocking on stage as the crowd cheered for the old-time rock band. Max claps in applause as his granddaughter asks him. "So, are they just as good as you remembered, Grandpa?" "Nope! They're better!" Max smiles as he glances at his grandkids and finds Ben has his arms crossed with a small smile as he taps his foot. "So, Ben? What do you think?" 'Well... They're okay, for a bunch of fossils." Just then, Shag Carpeting stops as they make way for a shadowed figure. "And now, ladies and gentlemen! Here in Rockin' Chicago and playing here as a guest appearance! Introducing one of the most beloved rock icons in history: JAGGED STONE!"

"OH! CHICAGO! ARE YOU READY TO MAKE SOME NOISE?!" The famous purple-wearing, beard sporting, rockstar with highlights cries out as the crowd roars in excitement. The man starts shredding away as Shag Carpeting backs him up. "Jagged Stone?" "He's one of the best modern rockers of our century, Grandpa! GO STONE! GO!" Gwen cheers out, only for Max to notice his grandson start pumping his fist as he bangs his head as well. "Ben?" The boy froze up as he glanced away with a blush. "Were you rocking out, just now?" "No! I was... Shaking my arm because I got a cramp in it. And my neck too."

As Gwen looks at her cousin and back at Jagged Stone, she puts 2 and 2 together. "Wait a sec... You knew Jagged Stone was going to be here! You wanted to come to the festival!" "...Maybe..." Ben mumbles out as his pride refuses to admit it, but Max smiles as he lifts him onto his shoulder. "Here! Get a better seat in the house." "Thanks, Grandpa!" "Say, tell you what: After the show, we can head towards the nearest phone store and get you a replacement Cell." "That's okay, Grandpa! No rush!" Ben replies as he rather spend more time listening to his favorite rock idol with Grandpa's favorite band. "Hey! Think Stone can play an encore!?" The boy asks as the Tennysons enjoy the concert, having a great time in Chicago!
