Ben 10 Ultimate Hero EP 22: The Unnaturals
I don't own anything except my OCs.
Intro:
A green glowing, steel pod was flying through space, hurtling towards earth as it crashed, making a huge green flash.
The camera zooms out from the glowing symbol on the Ultimatrix as Ben looks up close at it.
He then activates it while smirking at the camera, raising his hand high and slapping it down on the core.
The background turns all green as Ben morphs into Four Arms, who pumps his upper fists while cracking his lower ones with a smirk.
A white number appears on the left side, starting at 1.
"Ben 10!"
2: Heatblast ignites 2 fireballs in his hands.
"Ben 10!"
3: XLR8 zooms into the right.
4: Diamondhead swaps his right arm across as it turns into a blade.
"Ben 10!"
5: Cannonbolt uncurls and poses.
"Ben 10!"
"Ben 10!"
6: Upgrade stretches out of his puddle form.
7: Grey Matter hops off the 7 and lands into a crouch, giving a thumbs up and a smile.
"Ben 10!"
8: Water Hazard slides in on his water blasts and raises his fists.
"Ben 10!"
9: Wildvine extends his legs and stretches out his right fingers while holding seeds in his left one, chucking them offscreen.
10: Big Chill phases through the number and floats briefly before zooming near the camera.
"Ben 10!"
Big Chill's head turns back into Ben's as it rotates.
The camera zooms out to reveal Max and Gwen by his side.
Ben gave a low-five to his grandfather as Gwen crossed her arms and shook her head playfully with a smile.
The 2 then ran off-screen, making Ben run toward the camera with a determined look.
He then froze as his aliens appeared in heroic poses on each of the kid's sides, 5 on each side just as the title appeared on a black background with green rays emerging from the title.
The Tennyson family was now in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and were currently visiting a fair that was in the area by the History Museum, enjoying the rides, games, and food. Ben stood by a throwing booth with a baseball in his hand and he had a look of absolute focus and concentration plastered all over his face as he glared with determination. "Bottom of the ninth. Bases loaded. Two outs, two strikes, and three balls. Tennyson winds up and..." The boy narrates himself like he's at a baseball game.
He cried out and winded up his arm that held the ball in it and tossed it at the pyramid of Benjamin Franklin's head statue and nailed them head-on, causing them to wobble a bit before settling right back in place, leaving the kid stunned as he gasped. "No way! This game has got to be rigged! I nailed Ben Franklin!" The stand clerk said to him in a bored tone. "Knock over the Ben Franklins, you win a prize. You knock over squat, you win squat."
Ben frowns as he stomps away and speaks to his family. "You'd think that in the City of Brotherly Love, they wouldn't cheat at the carnival games." "That's the way life is, Ben. You win some, you lose some. Now come on, you can't visit Philadelphia without seeing the Liberty Bell!" Max said as he shrugs. As the kids followed him, Ben told his cousin.
"You know, if I could go hero here, I could win every single one of these games! Like that 'Test your strength' thing! Four Arms can easily crush it!" Gwen just shook her head with a bit of a frown. "Ben... If Eight-Eight were here, right now, she would knock you silly for using the most powerful device in the universe to win a few rigged carnival games." "Just saying..." Ben mumbles with crossed arms.
Max got some cotton candy from the concession stand as Ben walked off, only for them to hear a crash as a small flatbed truck drove by, crashing through the fairgrounds with the Liberty Bell on a stand on the flatbed with two crooks holding it down. "So not good!" Ben shouted. Thankfully, Max took notice of this and tackled the boy out of the way of the truck's path as it drove chaotically through the streets as they glared after them. "They're getting away with the Liberty Bell!" Gwen cries out.
"Not if XLR8 has anything to say about it!" Ben shouted as he readied the Ultimatrix and slammed it down while the others shielded him from the light. The only problem was, that he got his smallest alien instead of his fastest one as the girl comments. "Evidently, he doesn't!" "Oh man!" Grey Matter groaned.
The truck performed a U-Turn and crashed into a toy booth while the police squad cars started chasing after it! Grey Matter then hopped onto the adjacent strength test booth and hopped onto the weight, already coming up with an idea with that super IQ of his.
"Give me a lift!" He said as Max grabbed the mallet before hefting it over his shoulder and shouting out with all of his might as he swung the mallet down onto the bell, which caused the weight to be slammed up before it rang the bell, sending Grey Matter flying off through the air. Grey Matter sailed through the air and landed on the truck before he took notice that the thieves were completely unaware of his presence. He then crawled down to the underbelly of the truck and worked his way down into the inner workings of the truck's engine, dodging the working parts that would've sliced and diced him if they touched him.
He then crawled his way to the engine of the truck. He then loosened the steering wheel's mechanism and pulled some wires out of the engine. Naturally, this caused the truck to start to careen out of control and start crashing before the truck finally crashed into a nearby street light, which caused the hood to pop open and Grey Matter went sailing out of it with a shout before he landed in a replica of the Liberty Bell filled with jelly beans.
He then smiled at the goodies that he was now swimming in and then licked one of the jelly beans. "Now this is what I call a sweet landing!" He looked at the crashed truck as the police squad cars surrounded it while the thieves came out with their hands up. Grey Matter smiled at his handiwork and then he turned around to see the stand poster by him advertising a contest.
"'Guess how many jelly beans and win a Nintendo Switch with a copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.' Way too easy for the little guy with the mega brain!" Grey Matter smirks as he dives in and starts calculating. "Let's see... The average size of a jelly bean is 1.3 centimeters. The size of the bell is approximately 6.5 inches in diameter. We're talking 6,532..." He then ate one of the jelly beans whole before correcting himself. "Make that 6,531 jelly beans."
Later, the Tennysons leave the fair and are standing by a TV store as Max wants to check the streets for a bit. Ben smirks as he gets his new Switch system hooked up back at the RV and is currently playing his game with the tablet system as he has his headphones plugged into it. "Whoa! A Nintendo Switch! Cool! But how did you get it? Your birthday was a month ago and you didn't get one and it's not even close to Christmas." Gwen asked as the boy responded as he took one earpiece out to hear his cousin.
"Let's just say a little friend helped me make a lucky guess." "You used Grey Matter?! Ben, that's cheating!" Gwen frowns as Ben points out. "I didn't see any 'No Aliens Allowed' signs. I think it's permissible." "Hey, Ben!" Max said as he ushered the boy over as he pointed at the screens. "Your hometown baseball team, the Bellwood Cannons is in the finals of the Little League World Series! The finals are here in Philadelphia, tomorrow." "No way!" Ben said as he saw the news article. "I was supposed to be on that team!"
"I heard about that. Didn't you almost qualify, but had to drop out to go on this road trip?" Gwen ponders as Ben nods in response. "Grandpa, do you think we could go?" Ben asked. "I don't see why not. It's a special treat for the two of you."
The next day, the Rust Bucket is on the road to its next destination. "Williamsport, PA... The birthplace of Little League baseball!" Max said as the Rust Bucket drove down the path toward the Sports Complex. "That honored institution where dreams of greatness are first forged in young minds along with life lessons of fair play!" "Hear that, Ben? Fair play." Gwen said to Ben on the table, who was playing his Switch. "Not now, Gwen! I'm in the final race of the Star Cup on the 150cc class and Bowser and Wario are giving me a run for my money!" The girl nearly cocks an eyebrow with a frown.
As the Rust Bucket drove up to the gates, they were stopped by security guards, who had metal detectors, German Shepherds, firearms at their sides, and all kinds of safe security you can think of as they inspected the RV as the kids noticed as Ben paused his game. "What's with all the security?" Gwen asked. "The President is a huge baseball fan," Max explained. "He likes to make an appearance to cheer the kids on." They were given the all-clear as the RV drove in.
Later, they watched the Cannons, who were dressed in blue uniforms, practice on the diamond as Ben saw them. "There's the Cannons! I'm going to go say hi." He then ran in before he was tripped by two faces he hoped not to see all summer. Ben groans out in dread. "Oh, no... Not you 2." Cash and J.T. smirk as Ben picks himself up. "Look who it is, Cash! It's our old pal; 'Wedgie Tennyson!'" "Yeah! I thought that you would avoid us until school started, shrimp!" Cash said. Ben frowns at his school bullies. "Yeah?! Well, I have been a little busy saving the world this summer, Cash."
"Oh, saving the world?!" Cash shouted in a sarcastic tone. "He's in his own world!" J.T. said as the 2 laughed and Ben glared at them. "Friends of yours?" Gwen asked her cousin. "Not even a little!" Ben responds. "So... How did you two je- I mean, guys get on the team anyway?" "Talent! 100% pure talent." Cash smirks. J.T. then said before Cash elbowed him in the arm, causing him to yelp out in pain. "Oh, and four guys got chicken pox."
"What?! That means I could've made the team too!" Ben said. "By default. Just adding out." Gwen points out as Ben looks around for someone. "By the way... Where's..." "Relax, Tennyson. Kevin's not here. He's back home in Bellwood." Cash spoke to Ben as the secret alien hero sighed in relief. "Thank goodness..." Gwen asked out in confusion. "Kevin? Who's Kevin?" "No one important!" Ben quickly states.
Suddenly, a baseball went sailing through the sky, which caused everybody to duck out of the path as a member of the opposing team, the Squires, caught it perfectly. They were wearing brown and black uniforms with a shield emblem with a K emblazoned on it.
"Came here for a preview of what we're going to do to you in the finals!?" Cash snarls out as one of them responds. "The score in our last game was 28-3. This one's not gonna be that close." "Yeah, well I'd like to see that!" J.T. said before Cash elbowed him again.
Ben and Gwen then looked back and saw three of the Squires throwing the balls for practice in perfect unison and tossing them parallel to three more players on the other side. Unfortunately, the 4 kids were gathered in the path of the balls before they all hit the deck and leaped over the wire fence to get out of the path. "Hey!" Gwen shouted. "Watch it! Hello! In case you didn't notice, we're not wearing uniforms!" She hollers out with a frown.
That was when they heard the sound of fingers snapping and who appeared to be the Squires' coach stepped out. "Excellent drill." "Drill?!" Max asked with a frown as he clutched the wire fence in anger at almost hurting his grandkids. "They almost took those kids' heads off!" The coach coldly responds. "Maybe next time they'll stay out of the way. Good luck, Cannons. You'll need it." He then blew his whistle as the Squires moved into a single-file line before marching off with the kids looking on with weird looks on their faces.
Cash then picked up a stray ball as he called out. "Hey! You forgot something!" He then tossed the ball toward one of the players' heads, only for him to catch it with a backhand without even looking back, leaving everyone stunned.
The family was in front row seats as the stands were all packed as the Secret Service was on patrol. "All clear!" One of the agents reported over his comm as he stepped in. Max told his grandkids as Ben ate some food while Gwen was checking out stuff on her laptop. "If the Cannons don't win this game, the series is over." As they watched the Squires practice before game time, Ben noticed this as he munched on a hot dog. "Something about those guys is off. They're too... Perfect..." Ben said as he swallowed. "It just doesn't seem natural to me for anyone to be this good."
The Cannons walked out from the dugout and waved to the crowd as they took their positions. They were first up to bat as Cash played it up for the crowd. "We want a pitcher, not a hairy-" Ben began to insult before Max pulled him back. "Benjamin!" He said with a glance as the boy shrugged. "What?" "Let's play ball!" The umpire said at the batting gate as he lowered his protective mask.
One of the Cannon players successfully hit the ball toward the area, but one of the Squires ran towards it, leaped up above the nearby hedges, and caught it at almost superhuman heights, leaving everyone stunned as well as the kid who hit it as his bat fell out of his hands.
When Cash went up to bat, he did hit it, but the catcher then ran behind him and climbed the batting cage before he stuck out his hand and caught the ball before leaping back down without a scratch on him and tossed the ball back to the pitcher before Cash had a chance to sprint off. "You're out!" The umpire calls as Cash walks away, embarrassed.
The Squires were at bat a few innings later and Cash tossed the ball at the batter for the Squires. The batter hit the ball so hard that he caused the bat to shatter into pieces and the ball smashed into one of the stadium's lights, causing an explosion before the pitcher looked down in shame and the batter ran around the bases.
When J.T. was up to bat the next time, the pitcher tossed the ball with such force that the ball actually caught fire and J.T. barely swung before the catcher caught the ball. "You're out!" "Great..." J.T. slumps as he walks away while dragging his bat on the ground.
"Oh man!" Ben groaned as he got more food and sat down. "We're getting destroyed out there!" "But I thought you hated J.T. and Cash?" Gwen asked as she looked confused and concerned. "Yeah! But I don't want the rest of the team to stink, just those 2 jerks!" Ben replies. Gwen typed in her laptop on the Little League database and gestured to her cousin to crowd near her. "Check this out, cuz. I've looked up the Squires and I came across some... Questionable stats. The Squires' ERA is less than one. Slugging percentage 98.6%! No team in history, not the majors, minors, college, or little league has ever been this perfect."
Ben frowns as his suspicions about the Squires grow as he goes off. "I have to use the bathroom, badly." Ben walks off as Gwen glances at Ben's snacks as she comments. "Can't imagine why." The girl and elder just shrugs as they go back to watching the game.
As the Cannons went up to bat in the ninth inning, the pitcher tossed the ball, and the kid up at bat hit it. Suddenly, things froze up, like someone stopped time! Before the catcher could grab the ball, Ben as XLR8 came rushing by and moved the ball out of the way, causing the catcher to miss and the guy went around the bases, scoring a few runs for the Cannons. The next batter came up to bat and readied himself.
The pitcher then focused seriously on his face and tossed the ball and the batter swung, causing a direct hit! The left outfielder readied himself to catch it, only for XLR8 to grab it and throw it, sending it flying into the crowd, where some fans caught it as no one saw the super-fast alien. Turns out, Ben learned from his 1st days with the Ultimatrix that XLR8 can run so fast, that time seems to stop or go super slow, but only briefly. "Wow!" Max said. "Did you see that home run?!" The elder smiles as Gwen nods. "Yeah," Gwen said. "That was amazing! Guess the Cannons are finally getting a break!"
Cash went up to bat as XLR8 zoomed under the bleachers and he narrowed his eyes at his bully. "Ready to take one for the team, Cash?" The alien hissed as he took off.
The pitcher tossed the ball toward Cash, but XLR8 laughed as he ran in, grabbed the ball, and adjusted it so it went flying right into Cash's hip, causing him to yell out in pain and glare toward the pitcher. "I'll get you!" "No pain, no gain! Jerk face!" XLR8 cries out from under the bleachers. He then saw J.T. go up as he smirked. J.T. prepared to swing the bat, only for XLR8 to zip by and tie his shoelaces together. J.T. swung the bat, and his laces got in his way and he gasped and tripped as the ball went sailing into the catcher's glove.
"Have a nice trip, J.T.! See you next fall! Hahaha! Okay, the fun's over. Let's get serious now!" XLR8 narrows his eyes from being a pillar as he shuts his visor, glaring at the Squires as he takes off. Gwen frowns as she can't help but notice the weird events as she takes out her phone and records the game. "I think it's time for a little instant replay." J.T. then adjusted himself and hit the ball this time and the ball went soaring out in an unusual pattern as it flew out of the field player's grasp as XLR8 kept the ball away from the Squires.
The Cannons ran around the bases as the ball hit the wall of the field. One of the Squires prepared to grab it, but it zoomed to the left and right, out of the player's grasp. When the player caught it again, he tossed it to the catcher, only for JT to run around. "Safe!" The umpire shouted. "That's the ball game!" The crowd cheered as the game ended in a tie. The Cannons ran out of the dugout to celebrate while the Squires looked on in awe.
"Hey, where's Ben? He would've loved this." Max asked as Gwen raised an eyebrow in response. "After having 5 chili cheese dogs? And I'm so not on bathroom duty, Grandpa."
After the game, Ben timed out as he snuck around the forest area. Looking around, he heard Cash and J.T. approaching and quickly ducked behind a tree. "Hey, hey, hey! Who rules? Let me tell ya! The Cashter! The Cash Man! Sir Cash-a-Lot!" Suddenly, they found themselves surrounded by the Squires and they all glared at them as one ordered. "Come with us!" "Out of my face, weirdo!" Cash shouted as Ben watched.
Cash prepared to whack him across the face with his aluminum bat before it was grabbed by another player, who bent it with only his bare hands, which caused J.T. to faint as Cash and Ben were surprised. "You guys need to lay off those new energy drinks..." Cash stated as he looked into the players' eyes and they started to glow with a golden light. Ben groans as he fiddles with his glove as he speaks to himself. "Oh, man! Why is it that sometimes doing the right thing feels so wrong!?"
"Hungry?" Cash said as he reeled his fist back to the unflinching team. "How about a knuckle sandwich?!" But when Cash went to punch the player in the face, he just caught it and punched Cash with his very own fist, knocking him out. The Squires then picked up the two unconscious players and Ben groaned as he dreaded helping his bullies. "Curse my hero position." The boy followed them.
"I should have known!" Gwen shouted as she and Max were inside the RV and Gwen replayed the footage she recorded on her phone. "Grandpa, look. This is super, super, super slow motion." She then showed her grandfather the video and showed the frame-by-frame recording showing the ball moving before XLR8 caught it and paused it. "XLR8! Ben should know better! You don't cheat in baseball! I'm giving him a stern talking-to when he gets back. Followed up with a possible grounding, if he doesn't have a good reason!" Max frowns.
"Grandpa, I think Ben had a good reason for going hero. When I talked to him earlier about the Squires' state, he got a look on his face saying that he knew something was wrong about the Squires." Max blinked as he lightened up as he looked over as Gwen typed in on her laptop. "Speaking of which, I just found out more about the Squires online. When you cross-reference the Squires roster with the Baseball Hall of Fame database, the Squires have the same names as a bunch of old-time players. And there's no proof that these kids exist! No report cards, no birth certificates, no medical records, no nothing. It's like they came out of nowhere."
Max then glanced out of the door and noticed the Squires coach was looking at the Secret Service agents talking with each other before he raised an eyebrow. "Now, why would a coach be more interested in the Secret Service than his very own team before a game?" "I don't know. But something tells me we're about to find out, right?" Gwen gets a nod from her grandfather in response.
Ben followed the Squires across the hills before they stumbled upon a warehouse at the train yard. He then followed them by ducking past the nearby train cars before they walked inside the warehouse with J.T. and Cash in tow. The door closed automatically and Ben ducked inside the warehouse just before it shut on him. "That was close." He quickly ducks behind a generator.
He then peeks out and blinks in surprise at a robot-making machine that took up half of the warehouse! There are even weird robot spiders crawling on the ceiling. The Squires placed Cash and J.T. onto two slab tables and strapped them into metal shackles before activating two slabs opposite to them that had two robots with identical clothing. "They're robots. That's why they're so good." Ben whispered to himself as he figured it out.
He then heard the door sliding open again and quickly ducked inside a floor panel in the grating next to the generator. The coach came in with a glare as Max and Gwen followed him, but they were too late as the door closed.
"I don't know how they took control in that last inning," The coach said from inside the warehouse. "But we cannot risk it happening again. Scan them." A laser scanner came out from the ceiling and J.T. stirred awake. "Ugh... I just had the weirdest dream. We were kidnapped by the Squires." The glasses-wearing kid moans out. "Huh?" Cash asked as he woke up, only to find himself face-to-face with the scanner.
The scanners then activated and a red light moved up the duo's faces as Ben sneaked below and witnessed the area as two metal plates attached to the robot's faces and a blue liquid traveled down the tubes attached to the plates. The plates detached, revealing that the robots' faces now had the same colored skin as Cash and J.T. "This would be so cool if it weren't so... freaky!" Ben mumbles out. The laser scanner finished working on the robots' faces, revealing that they were now identical to Cash and J.T. Finally, a robotic arm came by and gave the robot J.T. a pair of glasses.
"These players will be our insurance policy! Dispose of the originals." The coach orders. Cash and J.T. gasped as they saw the Squires undid their shackles. "...And the spy while you're at it." Ben blinked in surprise at being found out as he quickly got out of the grating as the Squires tossed baseballs at him. Ben ducked as the balls blew holes in the wall behind them as he gulped. "Hey!" He ducked again as more balls almost nailed him! Max and Gwen ducked away from outside, wondering what was going on in there.
The Squires tossed wooden bats at the boy, who ducked and rolled away from the projectiles as more Squires went after him as well. "Wait! Was that Tennyson?" J.T. asked in confusion as Cash scoffed. "That whimp? Here? Get real!" Ben barely avoided the bats, as he noticed the Ultimatrix was charged and ready to rock, making him grin as he activated it! FLASH
Ben holds his left arm out as he becomes engulfed in crystals as it grows bigger. The same thing happened to his other arm as his back faced the 4th wall. 2 large crystal spikes grew out of his back and 2 smaller ones appeared above and below them. He then faces the 4th wall as his body becomes like crystal and engulfed in a sleeveless bodysuit. He grows crystals around his head and then they break away as he spins around and poses, finishing transforming into Diamondhead!
The Squires swarmed around the bright green flash of light as a burst of green crystals came forth from the ground impaling some of the robots. Diamondhead stood in the center of it as the crystals retracted and the alien's eyes glowed. "Whoa!" J.T. said. "It's one of those alien heroes from the news!" A Squire tried to rush Diamondhead with a bat, but it broke against his extremely hard skin and he engaged with the other robots, slicing them off with his blade hands as the robot Cash and J.T. tried to get the jump on him, but he instantly grabbed them and smashed their heads in with a sly smirk, as Cash noticed. "Is it just me, or did that guy smile when he smashed our robots together?" Cash ponders out.
As Diamondhead approaches the coach, he cries out. "Support units only!" Diamondhead looked above to see the robot droids crawling on the ceiling drop down on him. "Uh-oh!" Diamondhead tries to slice and punch the robots, but there are just too many of them! They quickly drop down on him and overwhelm the crystal alien. As Diamondhead tries to fight off the robots, Max and Gwen crawl in through a broken window and look to see the two bullies still strapped into the slabs. "We have to free those kids!" Max states.
They noticed Diamondhead leaping on a machine as he sliced through the robots and started firing crystals at them, impaling them with large crystal darts. Out of the corner of Gwen's eye, as Max frees J.T. and Cash, she sees the blue glow of a computer and she investigates to see a picture of the President's face and a strand of DNA swirling around. She gasped immediately once she saw the image before her. "The President!" The coach immediately glared in her direction once she discovered their plan.
"Team, move out!" He ordered as they all ran away while the doors opened and Max glared after them. "The Squires are getting away!" He shouted. "Whoa... These guys take Baseball way too seriously!" J.T. breaths out. "It's over..." The coach said as he pressed a button on the pad and the door started closing.
The humans looked up to see electricity discharging from the generator behind them. "Diamondhead!" Max said as the alien noticed and landed near them, ready to take down the spider robots. "I can take them!" Max explains to the alien. "They're not our problem. That is! It's going to explode!" Max pointed to the generator that was clearly about to explode.
The humans tried to open the large door but to no luck! They then saw the massive amounts of droids approach before they were all suddenly lassoed by Diamondhead who then tossed them into the large door, smashing it down and they looked back at Diamondhead still fighting. "Go!" Diamondhead shouted as he continued to slice the droids up. The 4 humans did what he said and dashed outside.
Diamondhead then leaps up and rolls, generating crystal spikes all over and sending them flying in all directions, destroying all the robots. Just as he lands as the generator surges widely, he quickly engulfs himself in a crystal shield as the explosion surges outwards, sending the guys on the outside flying in the grass as they glared at the destruction of the warehouse. "Ben?!" Gwen breathed out in worry as they saw burning rubble where the warehouse was.
Cash and J.T. groaned as one robot emerged from the flames, only to fall with crystals stuck on its back. "Are those robots, all gone?" J.T. asked as they didn't notice a flash of red light from the flame as a voice could be heard. "Destroy all humans!" Cash and J.T. yipe as they quickly hide behind Max as they see a shadow coming from the fire, only to reveal a smirking Ben as the 10-year-old approaches. "Gotcha!"
Cash and J.T. frown as they get out from behind Max as the taller bully speaks back. "Real funny, twerp! You missed all the action, as usual, Tennyson!" Ben frowns at Cash as he cries back. "For your information, me and the guy who just kicked robot butt are–" "Good friends! He's an old buddy of ours!" Max quickly interrupts Ben as he frowns at the boy for almost revealing his biggest secret. Ben groans out. "Oh, man!"
"Grandpa, they had a copy of the President's face!" Gwen points out as she recalls what she saw back there as Max got to thinking. "If those robots can switch out 2 kids for fakes, they can do the same with the President." "We need to find a way to get on the field to stop them, but how?" Gwen questions as they try to figure out a plan.
"Well," Cash said to the family behind him and his partner. "Thanks for your help and all, but we have a game to play." The heroes all smiled at each other and Max smirked outwards at them as they got an idea. "Not so fast!" Max said to them as Cash and J.T. stopped.
"It's game time and the favored Squires have taken the field!" The announcer said over the loudspeaker as the Squires tossed the ball to each other for practice. "Nine innings and our plan shall be complete." The coach smiled as he looked to a Squire behind him, who took off his hat and immediately changed shape with its robotic skeleton and reformed into a replica of the President's suit before a fleshy compound filled its face in to form the President's face. The Cannons come onto the field and Ben is dressed in Cash's uniform. He chuckles to himself as his disguise is working and the guards don't even bother noticing him.
In the Rust Bucket, Gwen looks out the window and smiles at Ben getting in without trouble. As Max looked through a cupboard, he noticed Gwen wasn't looking and sneakily pushed a hidden button, making the back of it retract and reveal a hi-tech laser blaster. He took it out as the panel covered up and Max prepped it as Gwen noticed. "Where did you get that?" "You be surprised by what you can pick up over the years on the road." The 2 then opened the side door and went down the staircase.
"Hey!" Cash shouted from inside... Standing in his underwear. "What about us?!" "First, get some new underwear! Second, don't go anywhere." Gwen responds as she shuts the door and the 2 Tennysons run off.
"First up to bat, Cash Murray!" The announcer called out. Ben walked up to bat and saw the crowd cheering before him and he just couldn't help but smile at being in the finals of the Little League World Series. "Okay... I guess hero time can wait for just one pitch." The pitcher then glared at Ben and then spat to the side and then tossed the ball super fast. Ben then tried to swing, but immediately missed and fell on his butt. "Strike one!" The umpire called as the catcher tossed the ball back to the pitcher.
Ben got up and dusted his shirt as he frowned. "Or 2. Come on, dude! You can do this!" The pitcher then glared with his glowing eyes and tossed the ball again, prompting Ben to swing... And miss again. "Strike two!" "What's he waiting for?" Gwen asked as she and Max walked in and saw Ben at bat as Grandpa Max smirked. "My guess is a fastball, low and away."
Ben gripped the bat hard as the pitcher tossed the ball. He shouted out as hard as he could as the bat suddenly collided with the ball, sending it flying. Ben stood there stunned and then immediately ran off around the bases. The crowd went wild as the Squires aimed hard for the ball while Ben ran as fast as he could! When one of the Squires caught the ball, they tossed it to second base just as Ben crossed the base.
Ben then dove as the ball was tossed to the third baseman and he shouted out as a dust cloud kicked up and he immediately slammed the Ultimatrix core down, transforming into Four Arms in the dust. "You're-" "Safe, right?" Four Arms asked and the umpire nodded.
Four Arms grabbed the pitcher, who immediately did a flip kick to Four Arms' face before transforming into its true robot form and growing claws on its arms and four spindly claw legs. The crowd gasped out in awe as the rest of the Squires transformed into robots as well. Four Arms grabbles with one, only to cry out as he ripped it in half! "Time to go, Mr. President!" A Secret Service agent said and they walked off into the bleachers as the robots looked to the President, their target acquired as the crowd evacuated as well.
Four Arms grabbed three bats and handled three balls. "Batters up!" He called before hitting the ball into the robots, leaving holes in their chests as they fell. Four Arms grabbed 2 and smashed them together with his big hands and a grin.
Secret Service agents surrounded the president as they drew guns as well. A robot appeared and they were instantly shocked and unconscious, leaving the President vulnerable. Suddenly, lasers started racing down on the robots as the President saw Max swinging in on a rope and shooting with his laser blaster as he and Gwen came up to him. "Mr. President, come with us!" Max cries out as he keeps blasting while Gwen grabs the man's hand and they run inside, trying to get away from the robots.
They eventually came into the storage room with a giant bat, ball, and glove inside. "We'll be safe in here!" Max said to them, only for the 3 to notice the Squires coach in the doorway as he glared. "I don't think so." The coach zoomed in with lightning-quick speed, knocking Max to the ground as he dropped his weapon. He tossed the girl into a cage and wrapped Max up in the giant glove. He now had the President cornered, who tried to make a break, only to get shoved to the ground. "Soon, we will control the White House." He snapped his fingers and the replica President walked in with a sly smile.
The fake president smirked as he walked around the president only to hear a rumbling sound as the alien hero busted down the wall! "Not while I'm in the house!" Four Arms smirked and looked to the ground to see that he had just crushed what appeared to be the President. "Oh, man! Please tell me that was the fake President I just crushed!" That was when the robot's hologram faded, revealing its true form as the alien sighed in relief.
Four Arms glared and lifted the giant bat and swatted the robots down with it, smashing them into scrap metal. "That's all of them!" Four Arms grins as he shoulders his weapon and is suddenly blasted backward by a blue beam and he groans in pain. "Think again!" The coach said, revealing two cannons from his shoulders. His hologram form faded to reveal a more powerful robot as Four Arms gasped at the sight! The robot fired energy beams from its cannons and its chest that were blocked by the alien's forearm plates! Gwen got out as she watched her cousin leap away from the lasers.
Four Arms lifted the bat only for it to be blasted apart. He then ducked behind the ball, only for it to be blasted apart as well. He then picked up the remains of the ball and glared at the robot. "Welcome to the seventh-inning stretch!" He then tossed the ball like a discus and it smashed right into the robot, causing it to spark outwards before exploding.
Gwen managed to free Max as the 4 humans looked at the broken robot, just as the Ultimatrix timed out, revealing Ben again. The President didn't notice at all as he looked around in confusion and asked out. "Where did that red creature go?" The man asked. "I wanted to thank him for his bravery." Ben began to speak up until Max silenced him. "I'll give him the message, sir." "Grandpa!" Ben complies as Max shakes his head.
The President walked over to investigate the robot, only for it to wake up again and reveal a cannon from its mouth! "We will not be stopped!" It said. "Okay, now that's cheating!" Ben said with a snarl as he rushed over grabbed a piece of shrapnel and jabbed the blade into the energy cannon! The humans quickly ran out of the storage and took cover as the robot exploded, making them look back in to see it wobbling before falling to pieces. "Yooooooou're OUT!" Gwen smiled as they all looked at her awkwardly. "What? Even I couldn't resist."
"The details of the attack are a matter of national security. But I'm proud to present the young boy who saved my life." The President said as he presented Cash and J.T. to the press who were recording. The Rust Bucket drove past as Ben looked out with a frown at his bullies being praised. "Aw, man! I did all the hard work and those 2 jerks get all the credit! So not fair!" Max smirked as he glanced back to see his grandkids playing the Nintendo Switch. "Yes, but saving the president is its reward, Ben. Besides, like I said before, Ben: Life lessons of fair play."
"And super mushroom turbo to take the win!" Gwen grins as her character, Rosalina takes 1st place as Ben's character, Luigi, ends up 2nd. Ben frowns at the loss as Gwen smirks at her cousin. "So, Ben? Learned anything from our baseball trip?" "Okay, you got me... I don't want to be a cheater." He then looked at his Ultimatrix and smiled. "But..."
"Oh, I know some things about courage!" Cash said on the podium before he and J.T. were suddenly whisked off and were dangling from the flagpoles of the stadium. "Not again!" "...That doesn't mean I'm not a sore loser!" XLR8 smirked as he cackled to himself.
Gwen watched as she shook her head. "Figures... By the way, Grandpa? Who made those robots in the 1st place?' Gwen ponders about the strange robots they encountered as Max ponders out. "Good question, Gwen... Wish I knew."
Inside the storage department, a group of 3 male figures in armor approached the remains of the coach robot. 2 of them were dressed like medieval knights, with a bit of a hi-tech/cyberpunk looks to them, covered their identities, and had a red stripe with a red loincloth piece hanging from their belts, that has a crest that is a black shield with yellow and red squares in a 2x2 fashion, but the red squares are an infinity symbol that connects the 2 and white crossbones underneath the squares and they both have a small yellow gem embedded in there left gauntlets as their hands have metal claws.
But the middle one's armor is more advanced and has a gold spike on his feet and black shoulder pads. His belt, elbow pads, shins, and thighs have gold accents while his yellow gem is on his gold and black belt like a buckle. He has gold parts on his gauntlets that have a red ruby on both of them. and has a red with white fur outline cape that is strapped to gold and red buttons that are part of his chest plate. He has the crest on his chest's middle while his face is covered with a gold, metal mask that looks like a face and lastly has black spikes around his head with a gold 3-point star piece on the forehead that acts like a crown.
"We apologize, my lord. It looks like our operation is a failure." One of the men spoke as the armored king picked up the remains of the head of the robot and tapped a hidden button on it, making it display a hologram recording of what happened earlier, making the men watch as Four Arms fought the robot, him changing back into Ben and the screen freeze as Ben lunged at the screen with his makeshift knife. "On the contrary, It's not a total loss. I want you 2 and the rest of the Forever Knights to find out more about this boy and how he is connected to all those 'alien heroes' as well." "Yes, Forever King!" One of the Forever Knights bows as they leave and the King rewinds the footage and stops as Max appears on screen.
"Max Tennyson... It's been a while, old friend. I would love to one day catch up with you on old times, Magister Tennyson. And I would love to get to know these 2 children with you. I swear by the crest of the Forever Knights, we will find out, and if you 3 dare to stand in our way, again..." The King crushed the head in his grip as he swished his cape and left the building, planning to research the Tennysons and Ben and the Ultimatrix.
Author's note: These Forever Knights and Forever King and their designs are Insane-Mane's version of them and I do not own them, at all! I like their looks and thought they would be cool in fanfiction and wanted Ben to be given a real challenge since the Forever Knights are one of Team Tennyson's more powerful enemies. That's all.
