Survivor - Heroes vs Villains
Chapter 20 - Day 16 Part 2, Day 17, Day 18 Part 1
Alright, just so you know, chapters for now are going to be released on Wednesdays (I'm glad I wasn't doing two chapters per week all the time this round, or I would be behind right now) lol.
But I'm not going to have you guys wait a million years to get more chapters for this story. Me trying to finish Mexico was a hot mess and it still haunts me to this day, so I really don't want something like that to happen again.
So yall are gonna get this for now and after this I'll see you all next Wednesday!

Day 16
Donkey Kong, Bowser, Yoshi, Wolf, Springtrap, Golden
-/-
Perhaps the blue team were not a bunch of failures after all. The fact they won anything including the reward on day twelve spoke volumes. Now they were getting the best reward of the season, yet.
Only difference was that there were a few villains that were going join them on the fun.
The minute they were seen walking back to their camp, the chef was already there near their shelter. Master Hand made sure he arrived before the tribe did.
"Hola!"
Oh, right. In case people were in need of a reminder, the specific location the castaways were in the Caribbean was the Dominican Republic. Eighty-five percent of the population spoke Spanish.
So they all replied back in unison. Most of the universe was at least aware of the most basic Spanish word of all time, so it was not hard for those six at all to know what he meant.
The chef was already frying and grilling away at his own station, peoples' mouths already watering. Yep. This was definitely going to be a good day for them, even for the ones that were blindsided at tribal the previous night.
"This is gonna be sick!" Springtrap wanted to jump out of his skin. "Stomach's growling."
"You could say that again!" Bowser held the biggest grin on his face. "I get to play Survivor and eat food like this? What more could I ask for?"
"Nice slap in my other old teammates' faces." Springtrap felt no problems having the luxury of having the reward while his other former tribe members on Valverde got nothing. "I don't feel bad for them. We started on the same tribe together, but we swapped and now they happened to be the team to lose. But the concept is simple. It's just gonna be something they would have to deal with. About the reward itself,... I felt like a king!"
There was a montage of all the food the chef was cooking for the tribe, before some of it was being served directly onto Springtrap's plate. "Part of me even wondered if I was going to eat it all, but we don't really eat pretty much anything around here. There was not going to be any stopping for me any time soon. Only thing I would have to worry about is keeping it down so that I wouldn't have to throw up."
Did he not have a conversation with Rodin about that? If memory served fans correctly, he was a loser of a reward post-merge with Rodin. The two of them together actually wished the other team threw up their food by eating too much, too fast. Springtrap was kind of contradicting himself.
"Whatever you do, Springy, don't drop it." Wolf gave him a strong warning. "That'll be a direct insult to us because we're starving to death just like you."
"Imma grip onto this plate so hard I would actually have to worry about not breaking it with my bare hands!"
Furry hands at that.
The mouth watering chicken and shrimp alone did it for Wolf, his clawed hands grabbing onto a large red plate as the chef kept on piling it up.
"There better not be a crumb on anyone's plate!" Bowser laughed wildly finding a spot in the shelter with his food. "We're eating baby!"
He definitely made sure he was the loudest one there. Yet for the tribe in general there were no limits. A bunch of brash, loud-mouthed alpha males just being themselves by... acting as if they never had food before.
Most likely survivor to feel out of place was Yoshi, but even he was seen laughing a couple times. He might not have had the same personality as most of them, though he did not appear to be too bothered by it. After all, he had Vector and K. Rool when he was with the Reptile Runaways in season four.
However, for those viewers that were rather grossed out seeing food so close to grown mens' mouths as they were eating away, all complaints were to be reported to the Survivor production team. The camera just had to zoom in on the mouths of Donkey Kong, Bowser, and Wolf...
"This is really my first official break in this game." Personally for Donkey Kong, there was some kind of good going on for him. And honestly, he needed that. He really did. "The Survivor Gods have been looking down on me. I helped blindside one of the most strategic players in this game, and now I've been rewarded with a nice feast. This chef is awesome and I have been diving in eating absolutely everything he had to offer."
And for the animal he was representing, DK really was eating like the big ol' ape he was. "I really do not know what my chances of winning are with this season, but no matter what day I go out on, I want to make every moment in this season count. And right now,... I'm having fun. All this good food sitting in front of me waiting to be eaten. This completely reminds me of all the times the Kongs came together to have a barbecue. Diddy's running around wild, Funky's having the time of his life cracking himself up, and I'm just happy to be there. Besides that idol play, I suppose this is my second favorite moment this season. I better enjoy it while it lasts, because it ain't gonna be lasting forever..."
He burped loudly in front of everyone and literally no one cared. There were already too many voices and loud noises, anyway.
Including Yoshi, Golden was technically the most mannered man of the tribe of six. But since he was Golden, the type to adapt to literally anything, whatever his tribemates did that was considered to be rather inappropriate at a dinner table did not offend him at all.
"Perhaps I am being more aware of how well I perform when it comes to adapting to my surroundings. I'll do anything I can to be as mannerable as possible if I'm at a fancy restaurant for instance. But out here,... I feel like these people have forgotten how to eat. Hahaha! To put it bluntly, these are some of the rudest people I've ever seen. But we all have a mutual understanding. We're tired, we're hungry, and right now it is like we have every right to act as we are right now. Food was just put down right in front of us and we're eating like piranhas. And you know what, I have no room to talk here. I became guilty of it, too."
Yes, he was in fact guilty of it. He was copying the eating habits of his friend Donkey Kong. The poor bear was hungry just as much as he was. And while Donkey Kong was going through it up to this point in Survivor, so was he. Right by his side. "I'd like to take this moment to apologize to all of my family and friends at home that know me better than this, but sometimes you just plain do not care. And I was having a bit of a moment, so I just ate away without even thinking twice. But I'm not gonna lie and say that it didn't feel good. I knew I needed it, so I was comfortable enough to goof off with these other guys on here. Just a little bit."
Not too long after he was finished, he fell right out of the shelter and onto his back, him grinning all the while. Poor bear. DK no longer had the right to be his best friend anymore. He was too much of a bad influence.
"Ahaha! You okay, Golden?" Springtrap asked the bear who was now placing a hand on his stomach.
"I need to keep this down. I might have ate too much."
"Oh, Star Spirits." Bowser did not even want to hear that. "Don't do it, Golden. You are gonna piss me the hell off if you do that. Keep it down. Now!"
Donkey Kong got up from his spot sighing. "I'll get the water..."

Day 16
Zelda, Ridley, Shadow, Vector, Ryu, Shovel Knight, Specter Knight, Plague Knight
-/-
"Win some, lose some. We're fine."
Vector and the rest of the red team returned to their camp empty handed. That reward was a blown opportunity for them, yet considering they both just won immunity (with a reward to go with it) the previous day, there were no temper tantrums thrown.
Zelda exhaled. She did not feel the best for losing the challenge. Yet due to her former tribe mates winning on the other team, it prevented her from feeling rather worse. "Yoshi, Donkey Kong, and Golden deserved a break, I suppose. Perhaps it is not all bad... No disrespect to you all."
The Villains.
"No offense taken, Zel." Ryu replied.
"Shovel and I have been coming up with theories to how Foxy got voted off while we were on the sit out bench."
Upon Shadow the Hedgehog bringing that up, almost everyone reacted in some sort of way, wanting to know some answers just like him. They were just bound to get to that topic seconds after their return to the bench.
"Like, what the hell." Vector placed a hand on his head. "How did that happen?"
"I figured he was going to be a target at some point in the game." Specter predicted. "This early, however? I feel as if I needed to physically sit on the jury bench at Tribal Council to see the whole thing myself... without Master Hand shewing me away right before the voting."
"I believe if a villain was somehow on the chopping block, Bowser probably had the biggest chance of going home." Ridley thought out loud. "He's the biggest name over there including the heroes. There isn't any reason to why Foxy would be gone already."
"The only thing I could think of was that an idol was played." Shadow was a hundred percent accurate. There it was. "I don't see the other villains turning on him."
Now that, he was wrong about.
"Hmm..." Ridley continued to think. "If an idol was played over there, then I suppose Bowser staying increases the tribe's chances of winning the next immunity. And of the remaining Villains left, Foxy was the most openly strategic and he was somebody they could have afforded to lose."
"That's a good move on the heroes' end if that was the case." Shovel Knight nodded in agreement, suddenly shifting his eyes from villain to villain. "And... again, this is all in front of you guys. We're all rooting for our respective old tribe members, but from a hero stand point, that was probably a good play. And I agree with Shadow. There was an idol that was likely in play. Somebody over there found our tribe idol and it cost Foxy his game."
"I believe that as well." Ridley did, but he felt that he wanted to know more. "The only person that would have had beef with him is Springtrap. But I've seen those two getting along."
"I'll admit that I was never exactly aligned with Foxy this time." Shadow spoke out. "But him leaving before the merge was surprising for us all. We may not know the truth yet, but we did picture all of the possible outcomes of that tribal. It was an idol play, or a flip, the former being more likely in this case scenario. However, I would not actually completely rule out Springtrap, Bowser, or Wolf flipping. Looking back at history, my team went to the first post-swap Tribal Council in my season and I made my move on Mega."
Justice for Mega Man... Did the man have any shot for a possible second chance by the way?
"There is a possibility that someone flipped in that group. And if so, who did it and why? Is this season's theme already over? I do not know for sure. All I know is that I need to have plans to make sure I'm not the one blindsided. The merge should be just around the corner."
He was out in the woods with both Specter and Plague.
"Due to that blindside, I'm wondering if we have worries of our own."
"I'm the type that usually keeps my composure." said Specter eyeing his way. "But I do believe we should prepare ourselves if we're going to tribal next. One question... Are you still locked in with the two of us?"
"A hundred and ten." He nodded with certainty. "You and Plague are the only two people I could put my trust in."
"And you better not flip on us." Plague Knight shot him a glare. "We've seen your season and we already know how you work."
"I had my justifiable reasons for voting him off, but even for my game, turning on the both of you is a bad idea. I've been trying to collect allies this whole time and I'm just now hopefully getting somewhere."
"If anything, Foxy going home benefits me. Plague and I just voted off his ally." Specter Knight did not hold an ounce of sympathy for the pirate captain. "And if the villains were still together at this point, I do not know what would have occurred. But at the very least, Foxy's name would have been discussed. Not sure if voting him out entirely was going to be our next move depending on how the rest of the tribe acted afterwards, but he would have been in my mind for sure. But people already wrote him off and I did not have to do anything. That's one target out of the way. Now me, Plague, and Shadow have to use this opportunity to figure out ways to have the three of us make a deep run in this season."
"What is your standing with Ryu?"
Specter Knight exhaled with a shake of his head. "I can't get a good enough read on him as of late. I feel like he is distancing himself from me, either to avoid the two of us being targeted, or if he's actually going against me."
"He barely talks to me!" Plague Knight told the two. "Do you think that's a red flag?"
"I do not know, but neither of us ever stated that we were with each other for longevity here. It was sort of us 'testing each other' in order to see how things play out. But how can I get a read on someone if they are not around me much?"
"Do you see him coming after you soon?" Shadow then asked. "Say if he's gonna blindside you, that gives you no other choice but to retaliate."
"If that's gonna be the case,..." Plague Knight paused. "then obviously we already know who to vote for if we head to tribal again. But, I... we don't really know for sure what Ryu's doing... Could you perhaps do us a favor and talk to him a little bit?"
That was when Specter Knight groaned facepalming. "Here you go again..."
"What!?"
"You always asking other people to do your favors. Need to remind you the amount of times I had to help execute your plans in Mexico?"
"Hey, he'll have an easier time approaching Shadow!" Plague pointed at the Mobian. "He's gonna be more sketchy around us! The only other villain that is here is Ridley."
"Where is Ridley's head at?" Sonic's canon rival was suddenly curious about the space pirate.
The scythe wielder hunched his shoulders out of uncertainty. "All that I know is that he was seen interacting with Vector a couple times."
Plague blinked in reply. "Why is he talking to Vector?"
Because Ridley had plans of his own...
"Do you feel like the season's theme is broken already? That was quite a move no matter what happened over there..."
"As a hero myself, I can say that my old tribe members have something to do with it." Vector admitted to the space pirate. "It's obvious. We just don't know all the little details behind it."
"What if there was a flip?"
"If there was a flip, this season's theme is definitely already over. But,... I thought you all said that Sheik was unanimous." The croc turned to him with a raised eyebrow before straight forward once again. "Do you feel that trust is starting to fall apart or something?"
"Trust can be broken at any given moment. Worst case scenario for the villains, someone snapped over there and decided to make a move against the Villains Tribe Alliance. I don't know who would do it, but whatever happened is going to be rather telling."
That was when Ridley's longtime co-worker stared at him directly for a second time. "Would you ever flip on people from your old crew?"
"Interesting question." He decided to be completely honest. "In our season, I was not known to be a flipper. I came off as somebody who was Samana strong and tried my best to keep our old tribe together... Obviously it blew up right in my face, but I was never really in a position to flip. That was all you and especially Val and Yoshi."
"Now that, I remember all too well." Yep. Vector turned on his whole tribe alliance just to support the Reptile Runaways, while Val and Yoshi flipped against them all at the same time. The K. Rool tribal was really something else.
"But in terms of me flipping myself, since I am a gamer, I have to do whatever it takes for me to get to the top. In other words, I definitely would if I can come up with enough valid reasons in order for me to do so. Forget the theme for all I care. I'll work with who I have to. Including you..."
He looked at Ridley for a third time, but it was more brief. "Thank you, I suppose. We'll continue to see how things go for us. It seems to me you're trying to keep your options open."
"I am trying to keep my options open." Yep. He was still trying to work Vector. "The entire tribe is speculating of how Foxy got blindsided right now. Most people seem to think the old heroes played an idol. However for me, I feel... that a flip is probably more possible than people appear to think. ...Something tells me that Bowser remembered everything I said about the strong guys being together. ...What if DK and Golden were on the line and Bowser decided to save one of them? Foxy going home would have been a consequence since he is very intelligent..."
The Caribbean player paused for a long while thinking in his mind. "If Bowser... flipped on Foxy and sent him home... Dear Zebes. All I have to say if we're the ones going to tribal next time, I need to at least make sure that Vector and I aren't going to be on the chopping block and that he's not gunning to get me out of here. I know I am the most physically strong player on this tribe, and that alone makes me a target."
Vector was then shown walking towards his fellow heroes, Zelda and Shovel Knight.
"What did he say to you?" asked the former.
And just because he really found no reason to make up a story, he decided to be straightforward. "He said that he's willing to flip on certain people of his old tribe if he needed to."
"Do you believe him?" The latter blinked under his helmet.
"Hmm... You know what, I do. I really do. I don't know who in particular he would flip on, but knowing of how Ridley runs, he'll do anything he needs to in order to get first place. I think it's all about who is he really aligned with. So now I want the opinion of both of you on that."
"Turning on others from your old tribe is such a brutal thing to do, but in the event we need Ridley's vote, he could be rather useful." Shovel Knight commented. "I feel like we should take that into consideration."
"Yes, but at the same time, Ridley is obviously someone we're going to have to deal with if we all head to the merge." Zelda brought up. "Even Ridley himself knows that. When he made it to the swap, his team was figuring out on what to do with him the entire time. That's sort of where we're at right now."
"Well we all know Ridley is a target once again at this point. But he isn't the only one." said Vector, holding out his hand to count on his fingers. "Plague Knight, Ryu, Specter Knight. All three share the same season, and they are all over here. They may not have always aligned together, but they do have that season connection. The three of us plus Yoshi are in an alliance, but we're two pairs. That's one group of three people... Probably doesn't sound as big as our group of four, but that's another group we probably need to weaken."
"We may be on the bottom of this tribe, but we're strategizing as if we are actually in the majority alliance." The Hyrule princess talked. "There are quite a few big targets on the board. I have... some kind of connection with Shadow on here. But as cutthroat as he was in our season, comparing him against everyone else,... I don't think he's really going anywhere. It's the rest of the villains here on Valverde that we need to worry about. Specter and Plague are a dangerous pair, and Ryu is with the both of them, but Ridley is a giant physical competitor. I'm surprised he never won individual immunity. But if the villains stab each other in the back, somebody would need our three votes to help them make a move. And even if we don't have power, as long as all the remaining heroes remain in the game, we could really make up for our struggle early in the game. Best case scenario, three villains would be sent home in a row."
La Vega
Day 17
This was going to be the only scene of the entirety of day seventeen counting both tribes...
"Hmm..."
So Donkey Kong and Golden were seen lying down in the sand, the former with his eyes closed. He was probably in his own mind thinking about random things as if he was somehow not worrying about the game.
Golden on the other hand rotated his head to his left. He had a bit more on his mind than Donkey Kong at the time.
"DK?"
"Yeah?" His eyes remain closed.
"What do we do next?"
"...Hope a hero does not go home in the next round." With his eyelids not letting up, he laughed softly. "We're still down in numbers a bit, and the overall goal for the six of us is to enter the merge with as many numbers as possible."
"Not a bad idea at all, but... I can't stop thinking about what Bowser did... from his perspective. Is that the direction he's really willing to go in?"
Turning to face him directly, DK's eyes finally opened.
"Bowser made a subtle, yet huge move at tribal without any of his own tribemates actually knowing it. He told Donkey Kong that the votes were going to be for me, crossed his heart, and promised to the Star Spirits that he was not lying to him." Damn... That was pretty deep if this was true. "Apparently his overall goal is to keep the two of us here, so that he could use us three, Vector, Ryu, and Ridley as part a new... Strong Guys Alliance."
Whatever music that was playing in the background paused, Golden staring down at the ground to think. "Am I really doing this again?"
"Like, what did Ryu say in this?" The bear was very curious to what Ryu's thoughts were. "I don't know if he's willing to do this for a second time..."
DK turned away from Golden to close his eyes again. "All I know is we're on the bottom of our tribe alliance. We have less to lose, but I'm still hoping for the rest of the heroes to make the merge just so that we could have more routes to seek. But that move was both subtle and flashy at the same time. ...I just don't know how did Vector get in it. We weren't aligned with him because he was one of the main people against playing with the winners..."
"We'll just keep in touch with Bowser, without telling Wolf or Springtrap... or even Yoshi." That was right. Yoshi knew some things about the elimination, yet he was completely in the dark regarding King Koopa's intentions.
And guess who just so happened to be walking up on them...
"What you two talking about over here?"
"...You." At least Fredbear was honest. "We're thinking of what you've done for us. Look, you threw your neck out there, and we appreciate it. But,... why did you three decide to form an alliance together over there? Is Ryu really okay with this?"
"It was Ridley's idea. He came to me, and we both came to Ryu about it." He folded his arms. "We felt that no matter what happens, the most physically strong are going to be targeted. It's the inevitable. Ryu tried doing it in Mexico, but it didn't work out the way he wanted to, which is why he was really hesitant about it in the first place. But Ridley talked him through it, and he decided to give this another chance."
"I don't blame Ryu at all for being hesitant, because I'm a little fearful as well. I was also apart of that." It was just that Golden managed to do a better job properly positioning himself, since he was still part of the Brain Tribe Alliance. He and Funky Kong were running the show a little bit until Specter Knight happened. "If this doesn't work out, we'd all be in trouble."
"We're trying to keep it under wraps as much as possible." Bowser assured him that. "But until we make plans at the merge, one of these other folks has got to go home and I don't care who it is. Hero or villain."
"...So you're at a point where you'll vote out whoever, then?" Donkey Kong lifted his head a little to place both of his hands behind it. "If that's going to be the case, the vote should be anyone but us. We need to make a group decision, especially since numbers are evened up on this beach."
"You're willing to put another knife in the back of your tribemates?" Golden asked him.
He sighed and shook his head. "I've no problems living up to my name. I'm gonna be in hot water for it, but if we lose again, that might be what I gotta do. I guess neither of you wanna see Yoshi going home?"
"We're making a deal here, because we both got games to protect. And in return, if all this works out, DK and I will see about turning our backs on our old tribe members."
...Was this the way he handled Ryu in season three when it came to deal making? Because once again, Golden was in multiple alliances at once.
"Meh..." Bowser briefly lifted his hands up. "Guess we're all doing business over here. I'm used to this kind of stuff in my real life. So it's between Wolf and Springtrap now?"
"One of those two." Donkey Kong nodded his head. "You're not gonna be willing to draw a rock over this after you were the one that evened up the numbers in the first place."
True. Bowser being rock'd out at the next tribal was not going to sit rather well with him to say the least. Nobody needed another Ike type of situation.
"I've gotta go check on the fire. We'll meet up again later."
Upon him leaving, DK started whispering to his friend when he figured he was far enough away from them.
"Hey... I've played with this guy before, but maybe for me to be closer with him, we might need to get Wolf outta here. That'll really limit his options."
"Exactly the plan I have in mind, my friend." Golden crossed his ankles and continued to relax. "He was the one to make the move. Any time you flip on your old tribemates, these are the consequences. That's exactly how Ryu's game fell apart."
Damn. This guy was good.
"It felt really awesome making a move like that. The goal for this phase of the game was to keep all of the strong guys in, I've done that. I used an immunity idol to my advantage, and I sent home somebody that was really never even thinking about aligning with me." Yet Bowser's grinning face gradually turned into a concern look. "However, um,... I guess actions do have their consequences. Now it's three on three, and DK and Golden are thinking about working with me, but I suppose they need to make sure I'm dead serious about this. I've got to show them some loyalty (even though I literally promised to the Star Spirits about Golden being the intended target of the villains), and unfortunately this means I have to actually flip on my tribe... including Wolf."
He sighed very deeply. "And I know I'm gonna hate to do this, because not only he's my friend, even from a game perspective, I need to have as many allies as possible. Wolf is just another option for me because he seems to have no problems voting with me for as long as possible. If he's out of here next, that's one less person for me, which means there's an increased chance of me being voted out. I don't want that to happen..."
Their hands were seen gripping both ends of the water well for no apparent reason as they talked one on one.
"I mean, we're either gonna draw rocks or put ourselves on the bottom. Neither of us want that, so the best we can do is to make those losers turn on each other." Wolf was not going to ever be nice to the heroes, was he? "I don't wanna go home for both of our sakes."
"Not right before the merge." Bowser aggressively shook. "We worked too damn hard and got too damn far in Kodai Island for this. The best thing the both of us can do is to win immunity."
"That might be the safest route to go. See, I'll break somebody's neck out here, but if there is a safer path for me to go in, I'd rather take that. It's all about choosing your battles. If we lose the next challenge, we might both be in trouble since there is a possibility of them seeing us as a pair."
"Hmph..." The turtle glanced off to the side.
"You ain't gonna put a knife in my back, are you?"
"Absolutely not." That was just something the Koopa was going to say just to stay on his buddy's good side. He did not know himself. "And you better not even think about doing that to me. I've worked this long to take care of you. Don't make me regret it."
In spite of his glare, Wolf reacted calmly with a small sneaky smirk. "We'll just have to see about that. Actions always speak louder than words."
"Thanks to Donkey Kong idoling out Foxy, I feel my neck is going to be on the line. Bowser also has a huge possibility of going out. He's the biggest physical threat on this beach, and we have a pre-season relationship that will hopefully not bite me in the ass. For the sake of our friendship, I'd love to keep him around the whole way. He's a really entertaining guy and everybody knows it. ...However, if he has to be sacrificed just so that I can avoid drawing rocks, I'd put his sorry ass outta here with no hesitation."
Woah... So both of them were okay with backstabbing each other.
Day 18
"Come on in!"
La Vega and Valverde were both traveling across the sand, all of them stopping on their respective mats.
"Alright. You guys ready to get to today's immunity challenge? First things first, I will take back the immunity idol."
Saddened that she had to do it, but Zelda at least made life easier for Master Hand by actually meeting him halfway.
"Once again, immunity is back up for grabs. four tribe members in pairs of two will be standing on a platform in the water. On my go, one pair swims out to a buoy where there is a key buried in the sand underwater. Once you retrieve the key, you will battle against two members from the opposite tribe as you will race back to shore and place the key on a stand. Then the next pair goes. Once you have both keys, one tribe member will use those keys to unlock a plank puzzle. Fist tribe to solve the puzzle wins immunity for their tribe. Losers, Tribal Council where someone will be the seventh person voted out of this game."
It was the last pre-merge challenge in Survivor - Caribbean.
"Valverde, you have two extra members and you must sit two people out. Keep in mind, you can not sit out the same people in back to back challenges." And considering of how multiple people sat out the reward, Valverde probably had some strategy in play regarding both reward and immunity. "Shadow and Shovel Knight sat out in the last challenge. Who's it gonna be this time?"
"You're on the puzzle?" Vector shifted his head to Shovel Knight just to be sure, already having the discussion before everyone even met Master Hand that day.
"I'm on the puzzle."
"Alright, we're sitting out Zelda and Plague Knight."
"Zelda and Plague Knight, take your spots on the bench. And before we begin, when this challenge was done in Survivor - Caribbean, Vector, Ridley, Yoshi, and Springtrap all participated. Springtrap's team lost, the other three were winners. Let's see what happens now. I'm gonna give you guys a minute to strategize, we'll get started."
Ridley cracked his knuckles. He already knew what his role in the challenge was going to be. It was time for the Super Smash to be kicked into high gear.
-/-
"Alright, here we go."
Another wet one.
"For immunity, Survivors ready?"
Springtrap was seen adjusting his goggles making sure they were probably secured.
"GO!"
And the divers leaped into the ocean from their platform.
"It is going to be Springtrap and Yoshi swimming for La Vega! Vector and Shadow swimming for Valverde!"
Was there a need to remind people of Vector's swimming skills at that point? He was basically nearly leaving his teammate behind, let alone beating his opponents from the blue team. Obviously he was picked to be the one to dive down and retrieve the key.
The pair needed to be at the first buoy beforehand, though. And once Vector made it, he knew he had to wait for Shadow. The hedgehog was of course better than Sonic in the water, yet at the same time he was basically average when it came to swimming.
Yoshi, however, was another good swimmer and Springtrap was physically fit. All this meant that it was La Vega that ended up having both members to their buoy first.
"Go, La Vega! ...Go, Valverde!"
Vector and Springtrap (both from Caribbean) took in air and went below, the camera going with them. It was time to see how long people held their breath.
"Come on, Springtrap..." Yoshi remained on the surface, worried that his own friend in Vector was going to come back up first.
Using the rope to guide their way down, both men held their breath with the best of their ability as they worked on untying their key from it. If it proved too much for them on their first lungs, oxygen was required for them to function. They returned to the surface with nothing in hand, it was going to be a second trip down for them costing time.
...
"Let's go!"
"Vector has the key for Valverde!"
He and Shadow quickly took off, the dinosaur immediately growing worried.
"Springtrap has the key for La Vega!"
Now for the fun part. Master Hand wanted his castaways to be in a literal brawl. It was not going to be anyone complaining, though. The Survivor series literally represented Smash, anyway. Just like in the previous season, it was the best part of the challenge.
"Vector and Shadow have to face Bowser and Donkey Kong!"
Bring it!
"I got an idea..."
As the key seekers from Valverde approached the two players from Kodai Island, Vector out of nowhere tossed the key as far as he could have.
"Go get it!"
And the next thing Bowser and DK knew, they were suddenly both pushed into the water by Vector already seeing the key being tossed right over them. Now it was clear that Vector's true plan was just be a nuisance to them with Shadow being the one to handle the key.
"Interesting strategy for Valverde!"
On the other side, Springtrap and Yoshi were going to take on Ryu and Ridley from Valverde.
"Move past them. Now." The rabbit had a strategy of his own, letting himself being tackled in the water by his enemies.
"We have two battles going on at once!" Wow... Was Master Hand actually able to keep up with everything? "This is a full on fight!"
Okay... On one side, Bowser and DK were both already aware of Vector's plan, so the goal at the time was to take down Shadow. Though the banana eating gorilla suddenly had Vector's hands around his neck in some kind of a chokehold before they both fell in the water.
Realizing what was happening, Bowser had no choice but to take down Shadow himself. Luckily for him he was able to get to the hedgehog before he made it on the shore, even managing to snatch his own key.
As for the other brawlers, Ryu and Ridley did a great job handling Springtrap. And yet,... it appeared that he Kevin was not really trying. What was up with that?
"Yoshi coming to the shore with the first key for La Vega!"
Oh, for goodness sake...
"Springtrap tricked Ryu and Ridley, who have tackled him down for no reason and Yoshi seems to be getting away with it!"
Crud...
Already being pissed the hell off, Ryu literally pushed his own teammate with full force in order for him to give Springtrap a piece of his mind.
And unfortunately for for Ridley's teammate, Yoshi was already on the sand hurrying over to place the key on its stand.
Shadow was really fighting hard to snatch the key back from Bowser. Though for the Koopa, he decided to use his height to his advantage by holding it high in the air just so that he did not get it. Even when he tried jumping, Bowser's arm kept pulling away from him, even getting to the point where he forced his hand on his head. ...Literally like a big bully on the playground!
"Bwahahahaha! Punk!"
The laugh and the insult, too! What a way for somebody to feel small.
"You're good, La Vega!"
It was now Wolf and Golden's turn to head out in the water.
"I'm coming, Shadow!" Vector called out, launching his full body at Bowser.
Plague Knight was standing on the sit out bench.
"Guys, hurry up! We're losing!"
"Valverde's falling back as neither Vector nor Shadow even have the key."
"Vector, just get the key already!" Now Plague was stomping his feet out of anger, Zelda only exhaling and bringing a hand to her face. It was not just because her team was losing. Since she was sitting right next to Plague, she had to hear a whole lotta mouth.
"Hurry up! Just get that key!" As small as he was, he was stomping so far Zelda for a second thought the bench was bouncing up and down a little.
Though from the platform, Specter Knight was pretty annoyed as well, shaking his head as if he lost his faith in humanity.
"This is embarrassing. They had one job and they can't even do that right..."
"Give them a break, Specter." Shovel Knight commented. "No need to be too pessimistic. They are doing the best that they can."
And guess what Specter did next? He literally gradually turned his head right at the camera, as if he was staring right at the audience in reaction to what the other knight said.
After Vector and Shadow were seen both double-teaming Bowser for the key, the turtle finally gave up.
"Vector finally has the key for Valverde!" Then Master Hand shifted himself over to the blue team. "Golden heading down for La Vega in search for the second key! Blue has a big lead!"
"I hope we win this time..." Yoshi commented from the shore, an underwater camera heading further down in the water with Golden.
With Vector finally on the shore, he dashed as fast as his legs allowed him to, throwing his key right on the stand.
"Go, Valverde! Shovel and Specter need to whip right through this!" They definitely needed to hustle. "You two need to move it!"
And they needed to so fast. Golden just returned to the surface with the second key in hand.
"La Vega moving forward! Golden and Wolf are getting ready to take on Ryu and Ridley. We will see how they would be able to handle this... Do they have a plan...?"
"Any special tricks you got?"
"I don't think there's much of a point." Isabelle's friend felt there was really no need. "Let's just be brave men and take them on."
"Don't have to tell me twice."
But before Golden could have fully thrusted himself at Ridley, the dragon grabbed his arms and ended up flipping him over. Ryu decided to defend his teammate by not letting Wolf have a shot of defending his own.
"Specter Knight going down for Valverde!"
"He'd better move it and fast. We're gonna lose this..." Now Plague was growing more worried than frustrated. "Come on..."
"Golden trying to get himself free from Ridley!"
The space pirate leader had a rather strong hold on him, and it seemed that it was going to be difficult for Golden to get free.
Then again, Wolf was in a hold of his own. Ryu just did not want the mercenary out of his grasp. Although, when it seemed as if Wolf was out of energy, he out of nowhere charged at Ridley (with Ryu stilling holding on), and crashed right into him like an out of control train.
All this led to Ridley completely being knocked in the water, Golden finally having the opportunity to escape.
"Specter Knight taking a long time... Can he come up with a key?"
Shovel Knight could have done nothing but remain put. He was ordered not to do anything until Specter came back...
"...I got it!" His head popped back out of the water.
"Valverde is good! Let's move!"
"Come on!" Vector clapped his hands, thinking they might have still had a shot. "Just rush them and get here as fast as you can!"
"Golden back on the shore for blue!" Wasting no time at all, he was back with the second key for his team. "You're good, La Vega! Golden is now going to use those keys on the locks. ...VALVERDE! LET'S GO!"
It was an all out brawl between the four of them, Donkey Kong and Bowser having the immediate upper hand with no surprise whatsoever.
"Come on, come on..." Plague Knight had his hands on his head.
"Golden's now gonna solve the puzzle for La Vega... with a huge time advantage."
The rest of the team minus the two remaining players in the water from Survivor's first season were making their way over to him.
"No rush, Goldie Locks." Wolf told him. "We only have all day. I don't think those two are gonna get anywhere..."
"If I can just get certain pieces together on this, I'll be alright..."
Master Hand really could not have believed it. "Specter and Shovel Knight still fighting with Bowser and DK."
Bowser was using brute force on the smaller one, literally forcing his hands on his back in the water. Was he actually drowning him intentionally? There were even heavy breathing noises heard between the times Shovel attempted to force himself back up for air.
Specter meanwhile tried his best to free himself from Donkey Kong, but it was simply not working, the man literally being picked up by the big ape as if it was nothing. Oh how embarrassing it was to see his legs dangling.
"Did you put the right people in the right positions of this challenge?"
Perhaps that was proving to be a grave mistake for red.
"Golden making quick work of the puzzle." It was the logo of the season, by the way. He appeared to be halfway done already.
Yoshi was feeling more hopeful by the second. "I think we might win this!"
Now Plague was not the only one furious of the way the challenge was going. Shadow was seen kicking away sand in ager, Vector turning away allowing the others to face his back.
Zelda was beginning to feel rather sorry for them. "I don't know if they'll ever get free from that, honestly..."
"I got it!"
"Golden thinks he has it if he's right." Quickly floating over to check, Master Hand began to examine. "...And he does!"
"LA VEGA WINS IMMUNITY!"
What a complete disbelief! Golden stared at his puzzle nearly speechless in awe. ...He did it! His team actually won themselves out of Tribal Council for once!
He immediately turned around and waved his arms in the air. "We did it! We did it!"
"Oh my god, finally!" Yoshi jumped up and down for joy, Springtrap being pleased that he did not have to see Master Hand that night. He knew that the three heroes on his team were even more excited than he was, so he and Wolf let them have their moment.
Zelda sighed from the sitout bench. "I guess we're going..."
Plague Knight for once was dead silent. Yet behind his mask he was absolutely pissed.
Vector groaned and slowly brought a hand to his face.
Seeing them celebrating, the four brawling in the water stopped as they made their way to join their respective teams.
Shovel Knight was nearly out of breath moving the absolute slowest. Specter on the other hand briefly turned around before facing forward, not even lending the other knight a hand at all.
At least Donkey Kong had the common courtesy to check on him. "You okay?"
"I... I'm fine." He waved a hand in the air. "Don't worry."

"Alright, La Vega. Here you go." Master Hand went out of his way to make sure Golden received the tribal immunity idol. "Golden, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, you three in particular are going to enjoy this one. This is the first time you three actually won an immunity challenge together."
"Long time coming, but this is worth it." DK replied patting the top of the idol. "We did really good."
"You guys can head out on. Nobody going home from your tribe."
Still talking in celebration, the blue team left the challenge grounds, all of Valverde not being satisfied at all with their performance. That was for sure a blowout. Was it a contender for one of the worst challenge performances of all time?
"Valverde..." Master Hand had his own curiosity get the better of him. "What happened?"
"To be honest,..." Oh no. Perhaps the audience forgot all about Ridley. There was so much focus on Plague complaining and telling people to 'hurry up' all the time, everyone needed to be reminded that Ridley was another contestant that never took losing well. "I feel completely embarrassed. We all deserve to take full accountability for that, master. The performance was not enough for my standards, at all. We did poorly, far below expectations. Perhaps there should have been better placement regards to who was going to be battling Bowser and DK in the water. But..."
From gradually shaking his head, he then promptly slapped his own face. "This is too much to take in right now. Just send us away before I get even more pissed the hell off..."
Shovel Knight glanced away in shame.
"Very well." So the master did just that. "Valverde, I got nothing for you. I'll see you all at tribal."
"And I thought my season's challenge was bad. I didn't even participate in this one!" At least Plague felt Ridley's pain. "How embarrassing! These people should have known better. Now we're all going back to Tribal Council. There are three heroes on the bottom, so at least I'm in the majority with Specter. But you know,... Specter and I have never really gotten off the hook following our first tribal. Even though our tribe alliance has the numbers, everybody could easily target one of us. So we gotta make sure we're both safe so that we can enter the merge. All it takes is a little convincing, and Specter and I will be safe again!"
Pretty entertaining chapter! The reward scene with La Vega, Valverde's scene, and then most of the La Vega tribe ready to make another move on no matter who it is.
And now this challenge... Wow. Hahaha!
Okay to be honest guys, I'm really rushing with this outro. Hope you guys enjoyed, and I'll see you next week!
