A/N: I know a lot of you keep asking about my other stories. I haven't given up on them. After all, I uploaded a chapter for JDZ after years of inactivity. I just need to get some inspiration. Also, sad news for me. My family had to put our dog to sleep. Poor thing had a stroke. I'll keep writing, by this has seriously saddened me.
Thank you for reading. Now, to the story
Lum, Tenn, Tak and her SIR unit Mimi were walking through the town of Gravity Falls, taking in the sights and observing the people. Well, two of them were.
"I'm bored." Lum groaned before pulling at the neck of the simple white T-shirt she was wearing. "Why couldn't I wear my usual outfit?" she asked as she looked down at her jeans and sneakers.
"Because your usual outfit would've stood out in this town." Tenn answered before looking back at her confined figure. "Then again, any outfit on you is gonna make you stand out."
"I can't help being beautiful." she said with a smirk before she suddenly fell over. "I'm okay!" she declared as she quickly got back up and dusted herself off.
"Mind not tripping over your own 'beautiful' feet every 10 minutes?" Tak asked with a small smile before her stomach growled. "Mimi. How much further is this eating establishment?" Tak ordered her SIR unit.
"At this rate, we should be there in approximately 1 minute and 13 seconds." Mimi responded in a cool female voice.
"I'm starting to like the voice chip I made for you." Tak said with a smile.
"Same here. It's nice to have an actual voice. Now if only I could be rid of those last few fragments of coding from that idiotic mistake of a robot's programming when they hijacked my-" she began before she saw a little squirrel eat an acorn. Her piercing red eyes suddenly shifted to cyan as her whole demeanor changed. "Lookie! A squirrel!" she suddenly shrieked in joy before she started wiggling in place. "I's gonna catch it and name it Bill!" she declared before her body stiffened and she violently shook her head, her red eyes glaring hard at nothing. "Stupid Zim and his worthless defective garbage SIR unit! I'm gonna fucking kill those two for this!"she growled.
"She's definitely your SIR unit." Tenn deadpanned as they continued walking.
"I know. I'm so proud of her." Tak said with a smile before they spotted the restaurant coming up. "Is that the restaurant?"
"Correct." Mimi answered as they all walked up and looked at the sign for the restaurant called 'Greasy's Diner.'
"Greasy's?" Lum asked with a grimace. "I don't think I'll enjoy anything in a place like this."
"It's just a dumb name. Trust me. The town Zim was stationed at had worse names for...well, anything." Tak told her before they all walked in, with Mimi watching from outside. It was a small diner with a comfy atmosphere. Booths for families and friends to sit at, barstool seating, a jukebox playing music and a pleasant smell of food everywhere.
"Something smells good." Tenn commented as the three walked in and sat at an empty booth. "I wonder if there's anything here like on Foodcourtia."
"Who knows." Tak replied before turning towards Mimi sitting outside next to the window. "Mimi. Go out and scout the town and surrounding area. See if you can find a suitable place that I can set up a small base."
"Understood." Mimi nodded before zooming away.
"Why would you want to find your own place when Zim's going to have a mansion that we can all relax in?" Lum asked.
"Because I despise that idiot for ruining my life." Tak answered. "I may have to bend over and take it because of the Tallest's orders but I refuse to be around Zim anymore than I have to."
"I'm not taking his side, but the Zim that you knew and the Zim that I've met sound like two completely different irkens." Tenn threw in, earning a glare and grumble from Tak.
"Hello, welcome to Greasy's. May I take your order?" asked a thin blonde waitress.
"Something that's not greasy." Lum ordered, earning a chuckle from the women.
"Despite the name, the food's not soaked in grease." replied the woman.
"What would you recommend?" Tenn asked.
"Personally, I like anything deep fried. Outside of that? Chili fries." the waitress answered.
"I'll take an order of those, miss...Pacifica." Tenn said after reading the waitress's nametag.
"Alright. And how about you two?" she asked the other two women.
"Eh, same thing." Tak answered.
"Hmm...It sounds good, but I'm afraid it might go straight to my butt." Lum said in concern.
"If it does, would anyone notice the difference?" Tenn asked with a smirk. Lum looked ready to say something before she looked at her own ass, then silently sat back down.
"So three orders of chili fries. Any drinks?" Pacifica asked as she wrote the orders down.
"Water." all three of them answered.
"Three chili fries and three water. Coming right up." she said as she finished writing before walking away, leaving the three to wait.
In another part of Gravity Falls, a man in a suit and biker hat was calmly walking through the streets, a smile adorning his face as he was greeted by passing townsfolk.
"Good morning, Mayor Cutebiker."
"Hi Mayor Cutebiker. Nice day for a stroll, huh?"
"Congratulations on your re-election."
"Thank you, everyone. Have a pleasant day!" he said as he waved at the various civilians. "Ah, another day in Gravity Falls." he said as he continued before he saw two dogs playing tug-o-war with a piece of meat. "Get it! Get it!" he said with a grin before his cellphone went off. He looked to see the name 'Tambry' on the display before answering. "Hello Tambry. Is something wrong?"
"Hello Mayor Cutebiker. Nothing's wrong. I have some people here who are looking for you. Said they wanted to ask the mayor about available property or land in Gravity Falls they could buy." came a woman's voice.
"Really? That's wonderful! More people to join our lovely little community!" he exclaimed in joy. "I'll head back to the office to meet with them right away!"
"Well only one of them is here now, but her friend went to find you and...what? What do you mean 'Tell him to look behind him?'" Tambry asked over the phone.
"Look behind me?" Tyler repeated before turning around-
"Hello."
"AHH!"
-and screamed at the sight of Wednesday standing directly behind him.
"I take it she's there?" came another woman's voice over the phone.
"Indeed I am, Parker." Wednesday answered after taking the stunned mayor's phone. "I'll discuss the matter with him. Enjoy talking with your new friend." she said before hanging up the phone and placing it back into Tyler's hand. "Tyler Cutebiker, Mayor of Gravity Falls. Correct?"
"Y-Yes. Yes! That's right." Tyler answered before putting his phone away and straightening himself up. "And who might you be, young lady?"
"Wednesday Addams." Wednesday said in a simple greeting.
"Well Wednesday, let me start by saying welcome to out little town of Gravity Falls." Tyler began, his usual cheerfulness and smile back. "How are you liking it here so far?"
"It is different from the suburbs I grew up in." Wednesday began. "The forest is teeming with creatures that one would and would not normally see."
"Hehe. Yeah, our town's got quite a few surprises outside the norm." Tyler said before turning around. "At any rate, this isn't really the best place to talk about buying property here. Let's go to my office and discuss everything there, shall we?"
"Very well." Wednesday agreed as the two began to walk through the town. "By the way, I had heard about a few incidents that had befallen this town years ago. I don't know many details, but they seem to involve an evil triangle. Would you happen to know what that is about?"
"Oh, never mind all that." Tyler waved off. "It's nothing to be concerned about."
"Hmm." was all Wednesday let out before narrowing her blank eyes on the back of Tyler's skull.
'If they move here, then I may need to explain about that mandate and the reasons behind it. After all, they'll probably hear all about how that demon Bill Cipher nearly took over our entire universe.' came Tyler's thoughts.
"Interesting." Wednesday muttered, her eyes going back to normal.
"You say something?" Tyler asked.
"I said that this town is interesting." Wednesday answered as they continued.
-Back at Greasy's-
"This is pretty good!" Tenn commented as she, Tak and Lum ate their chili fries.
"Indeed. It's even better than the stuff they serve on Foodcourtia." Tak said between bites.
"I know I'm going to regret it, but I think I'll order a second helping." Lum said with a smile as Pacifica approached them all.
"Enjoying your meal?" she asked.
"Very much, yes." Tenn said before wiping her lips with a napkin. "Are we allowed to go orders?"
"Yes. Do you have one you wish to place?" Pacifica asked while bringing out her notebook.
"Three orders of chili fries to go, please." Tenn ordered.
"Alright. Three orders of chili fries to go. I'll get that order done right aw-" she began as she turned, only to stop when she saw an older man in a fancy suit standing there.
"Hello, Pacifica." the man greeted, the air around him suggesting he was someone higher up in society.
"Hello, Mr. Northwest." Pacifica bit out as she looked at the man.
"Come now, Pacifica. There's no need for such hostility. We're family, remember?" the man said.
"Is that so? Remind me. What does it mean when you disown your child?" Pacifica asked, her glare intensifying while people in the restaurant began to look at the two of them.
"That was only a little joke. I didn't really mean it." he said with a calm smile and even tone.
"So throwing me out on the street with nothing but the clothes on my back was part of your little joke?!" Pacifica asked through grit teeth.
"Of course. After all, we both know that neither your mother nor I would ever truly abandon you." he said. "Now why don't we bury the hatchet and let bygones be bygones?"
"Mr. Northwest. If you're not going to order anything, then kindly leave." Pacifica suggested, her hands trembling as a red hue began to spread over her cheeks.
"Kindly refrain from speaking to me in such a-" he began before he heard someone behind him cough. He looked over his shoulder to see an old woman with one eye closed and wearing a similar outfit to Pacifica's.
"She asked you to leave, Mr. Northwest." the woman said while tapping a broom in her hand. "Now I'm telling you to leave!"
"Hmph! Very well then." he said before turning back to his daugher one more time. "I shall see you tomorrow at the reading, Pacifica."
"What makes you think I'm going, Mr. Northwest?" Pacifica asked as her father turned and walked out the door. Her face was still red and her hands were still trembling, a crunched notepad in one and a snapped pencil in the other. "Susan! I'm taking a break!"
"Actually, why don't you take the rest of the day off? It's a slow day, so I can handle it." Susan suggested.
"Sure...yeah." Pacifica said before turning towards the three women. "But first, your orders...and something deep fried."
A few minutes later found the three sitting outside on what looked like a massive tree stump and eating some more chili fries while Pacifica paced back and forth, a deep friend fish on a stick in her that she was making quick work of.
"Stupid bastard of a father of mine!" she ranted between bites of fish. "Throws me out because I wouldn't do as he and mother says, then turns around and asks me to come home and forget we even had a fight in the first place?! Screw that!"
"You getting any of this?" Lum asked as she and the two irken women just watched Pacifica talk to herself.
"From what I've heard, the guy was her father, but he disowned her. Now he wants her to come home, but she doesn't want to?" Tenn surmised.
"Meh. Dumb issues that don't involve us. I don't really care." Tak admitted as Pacifica finished her fish and tossed the scraps away before sighing and turning to them.
"Sorry about all that." she said after calming down.
"So what was all that about anyway?" Tenn asked. Pacifica frowned before sitting down on the stump next to them.
"I guess I'll start at the beginning." Pacifica began. "My name used to be Pacifica Northwest before my parents disowned me."
"We don't know the name Northwest. Are they famous?" Lum asked, earning a sharp 'HA!' from Pacifica.
"Oh, we're famous alright." she said. "To everyone here, we're the descendants of the town's founder, Nathaniel Northwest. We had everything. Money, reputation, a mansion on a hill that overlooked the town. And growing up, it was an amazing life."
"You say that like it's a bad thing." Lum spoke up.
"Only after one fateful Summer." Pacifica continued. "The Pines twins were sent here for the Summer. They started to uncover a lot of the town's secrets, including the truth of the town's real founder."
"The real founder? So you're ancestor wasn't the real founder?" Tenn asked.
"Sadly, no. Everyone was made to believe it because of government cover up." Pacifica said before suddenly realizing what she was saying. "Uh...maybe I shouldn't say any more."
"Uh uh. I'm too curious to let you walk away without telling me." Lum said as she, Tak and Tenn all looked at her expectantly.
"Fine, but don't tell anyone I told you." Pacifica huffed before she began to tell them about Gravity Falls' true history. When she was done reciting what she'd memorized from the documents Dipper gave her years ago, the others just stared at her with wide eyes.
"So...your ancestor, a waste shoveling village idiot, was put into power to cover up the fact that the 8th and a half president was a completely silly and insane man who put babies into the Supreme Court, waged war on pancakes and declared a law against wearing pants." Tak summed up.
"That's what I read." Pacifica admitted. Upon those words, Tak slapped her hand to her forehead while Tenn and Lum started to crack up with laughter.
"I honestly thought humanity couldn't get any dumber, but here it is." Tak groaned to herself as she rubbed her temples. "For the sake of my sanity, can we please move on to your family?"
"Sure. What do you want to know?" Pacifica asked as Tenn and Lum started to calm down.
"How ab-How about we start with you?" Lum asked. "If you're father wants you to come back, why not do so?"
"She has a point. If your family is rich and famous, at least with your false reputation, why wouldn't you want to return?" Tenn added.
"Because after Nathaniel Northwest came into power...my family turned into horrible people." Pacifica admitted, her voice full of shame as images of the paintings she'd found years ago came to her mind. "On the outside, my family came off as generous and kind. But it was a ruse. Truth is, my family became nothing but a bunch of rotten lying criminals." The three alien women were silent as Pacifica explained her family's crimes and lies, starting with the promise that Nathaniel broke and ending with her parents wanting to leave the others to their fates when a ghost had returned to claim his vengeance. "After I opened the gate and let the town in, the curse was lifted and the ghost was able to finally rest."
"...Wow." Tenn finally got out after a moment of silence. "Your family line really did all that?"
"Yeah." Pacifica admitted with a downcast expression. "Ever since I found out, I couldn't really find anything about my family to be proud of anymore."
"Is that why you don't want to go back to your family?" Tak asked.
"Sort of. I wanted to fix my family name...but I couldn't. I couldn't do anything except for saving everyone at that one party. After that, things just went downhill." Pacifica lamented. "After a...certain incident, my father decided to invest all our money on someone. When they were kicked out, my family lost all it's money. To keep us from being penniless, my father had to sell the family mansion."
"Nearly going from riches to rags?" Lum asked before shuddering. "I can't imagine something so horrifying."
"Yeah. Still, the money we got ensured we could still live in luxury in our next house." Pacifica continued.
"So when and why were you kicked out of the family?" Tenn asked.
"It was shortly after my 16th birthday." Pacifica began. "My parents wanted to ensure that I continued the Northwest family line, so they started setting up marriage interviews. Unfortunately for them, I wouldn't cooperate."
"What'd you do?" Tenn asked.
"I made a liar out of them." she chuckled before taking out her phone and scrolling through it. "When they sent out my information, they gave them this picture of me they took on my 16th birthday." she said as she showed them a picture of a much more endowed version of herself.
"I'm not into women, but wow~" Tenn commented.
"I bet there were a lot of drooling men running to your front door when they saw this." Lum said.
"There were. Sadly, by the time they met me, I'd already done this to myself." Pacifica said as she gestured to her thin frame.
"How did you go from that to that?" Tak asked as she pointed at the photo, then at Pacifica.
"Sorry. That's one secret I'm not telling you about." Pacifica chuckled before sighing. "But that was last straw to my parents. After all the guys left and said my parents were liars, they got all over me about wrecking the future of the Northwest family."
"Why not just have another kid?" Lum asked.
"My dad got a vasectomy, so that's out of the question." Pacifica answered before continuing. "I told them I was fed up with living how they wanted me to. I told them that I wasn't going to just marry some random rich guy...so they threw me out and said I was no longer a Northwest."
"I'm sorry to hear that." Tenn said in sympathy.
"Don't be. I brought it on myself." Pacifica said before brightening up a little. "I may not be able to keep my promise, but I'm no longer under their rule. I'm my own person and I'm going to decide my life! Not my mother! Not my father! Me!" she declared with a grin before turning to the three of them. "Sorry if I bored you all. Just felt great to get all that off my chest."
"You kidding? That wasn't boring at all. A little sad, but not boring." Tenn said as Mimi reappeared and nuzzled Tak's arm.
"Well, as wonderful as this story was, we need to get going." Tak said as she and her alien associates all got off the stump.
"Nice meeting you all...By the way, what were your names?" Pacifica asked.
"I'm Tak. This is Tenn, and that is Lum." Tak introduced them all before approaching Pacifica. "And Pacifica?"
"Yeah?" the blonde woman asked. Tak merely smiled and held her hand out towards her.
"From one woman trying to piece their life back together because of an idiot's mistake to another...good luck." she said. Pacifica smiled and shook her hand.
"Same to you, Tak." she said. With that, the three left the diner, and their new friend, to continue exploring the town.
"That was nice." Tenn said before turning towards Tak. "If I didn't know any better, I'd think you actually enjoyed talking with Pacifica."
"I wouldn't exactly say I'd want to be her friend, but I do know the feeling of having your life wrecked because of someone else's stupid decisions." Tak answered with a shrug before turning to Mimi. "Report Mimi. Any suitable spots?"
"Various locations away from prying eyes have been recorded in my database for you to peruse at your leisure, Master Tak." Mimi answered. "Additionally, I have picked up a faint signal from somewhere near the town. Signature unknown, possibly not human."
"Hmm. Interesting. Good work, Mimi." Tak said.
"Thanks, Mastuh!" Mimi said with cyan eyes before they jolted back to red, her demeanor deflating after her mad outburst. "Plug my life."
