A/N: Short chapter to get things going again.
Wednesday and Parker, who were being escorted by a pair of cops, had arrived at the Town Hall.
"This is where Mayor Cutebiker works?" Parker asked as she looked away from her phone and towards the two cops. "Doesn't this town have a City Hall?"
"He was having one built, but the project's on hold." said the shorter cop named Blubs.
"Mr. McGucket was financing it before he passed." said the taller cop named Durland before the two started to walk off. "Well, see you later."
"And stay out of trouble. I'm near retirement, and I don't want a black mark on my record before then." Blubs warned with a smile.
"Yes sir." Parker said half-heartedly before she and Wednesday walked into the Town Hall. It was a large building with pews set up around a stage that was surrounded with bits of Gravity Falls history here and there.
"Hmm...Quaint." Wednesday said as she and Parker walked further in and stopped outside a door that had the words 'MAYOR'S OFFICE' on the front. They stepped in and she and Parker saw a thin woman with brown hair with a pink highlight on the left side and simple suit sitting at the desk, her thumbs flying away on her cellphone.. The two approached the desk and stopped in front of it before Wednesday gave a small cough. The woman's eyes briefly left her phone before going back.
"Can I help you?" she asked.
"We're looking for the mayor of Gravity Falls in the hopes of purchasing property." Wednesday explained.
"Mayor Cutebiker's not here." the woman droned.
"Where would he be at this time?" Wednesday asked.
"His daily walk in town somewhere." she answered.
"Thank you." Wednesday said before turning towards Parker. "I shall search for the mayor. Why don't you stay and get acquainted with Tambry here?" Wednesday suggested.
"I get you." Parker said with a nod while lightly shaking her own phone. She watched as her friend left out the door before turning towards Tambry-
"How did she know my name?"
-but said nothing when Tambry asked a question, her eyes away from her phone and looking at Parker.
"Ugh. She keeps doing that." Parker groaned. "Sorry about my friend. She has the ability to read minds."
"Seriously?" Tambry said before shrugging and looking back at her phone. "Meh. Not the weirdest thing to happen in this town."
"So it's true that weird things happen here a lot?" Parker asked, her eyes going back to her own phone.
"Pretty much." Tambry answered.
"Guess my friends and I will fit right in." Parker said with a smile. "Also, you might want to call the mayor if you have his number."
"Why?" Tambry asked.
"Just a hunch." Parker answered. Tambry rolled her eyes but did so anyway. A ring later and the mayor answered.
"Hello Tambry. Is something wrong?" came Mayor Cutebiker's voice.
"Hello Mayor Cutebiker. Nothing's wrong. I have some people here who are looking for you. Said they wanted to ask the mayor about available property or land in Gravity Falls they could buy." Tambry answered.
"Really? That's wonderful! More people to join our lovely little community! I'll head back to the office to meet with them right away!" came Cutebiker's ecstatic reply.
"Well only one of them is here now, but her friend went to find you and-"
"Psst. Tell him to look behind him." Parker whispered.
"What? What do you mean 'tell him to look behind him?'" Tambry asked in confusion.
"Look behind me?...AHH!" Cutebiker yelped, startling Tambry while Parker chuckled.
"I take it she's there?" Parker asked near the phone.
"Indeed I am, Parker." came Wednesday's voice. "I'll discuss the matter with him. Enjoy talking with your new friend." Wednesday said before the call was dropped.
"...How?" Tambry asked as she looked at her phone before looking at Parker.
"Like I said, I had a hunch." Parker answered with a shrug. Tambry just looked at her before sighing, a smile on her face.
"Okay. I think you two will fit in this town." Tambry said before holding her phone up. "Exchange numbers?"
"Sure." Parker nodded. A moment later and the two were now on each other's friends list. "So if we move here, what are some do's and don'ts?"
"Well if you do move here, you're going to learn quickly that there are a lot of citizens here that are...not quite as normal as you and me." Tambry explained.
"You mean there aren't a lot of goths and woman in suits?" Parker joked, making them both chuckle.
"No. I mean that they're...well, I think Mayor Cutebiker would want to explain this himself." Tambry answered before her phone got a message from Wendy. "Hmm." Tambry hummed as she read the message before blinking. "What?"
"Something up?" Parker asked.
"My friend Wendy said she just met this strange woman. Said she...turned into the wind." Tambry answered as she texted back. "What...are...you...talking...about?" she spoke as she texted before sending it. Her phone started to ring after that, the called ID reading out 'Wendy' with her picture on it. "Hello?" Tambry said after answered.
"Did you not read my text? I just said that I met a woman that turned into the wind!" came Wendy's voice over the phone.
"What woman?" Tambry asked.
"I don't know who she is! I just met her! All I know is that she can teleport, dive into the ground like it's water, and turn into wind and leaves! Said her name was Lily!" Wendy ranted.
"Lily?" Tambry repeated, catching Parker's attention.
"Yes! And get this. She said that she and some friends of hers were planning on moving to Gravity Falls!" Wendy continued.
"Is that so?" Tambry asked while looking at Parker, who was smiling down at her. She covered her phone with one hand before asking, "Friend of yours?"
"Uh huh?" Parker said with a nod.
"And your other friends can do weird stuff like that?" Tambry asked.
"Oh yeah." Parker nodded. Tambry merely blinked once with a smile before holding the phone back to her ear.
"Wendy? Mystery Shack at 7 tonight. Be there." Tambry said before hanging up. "Feel like meeting a few friends of mine?"
"Only if I can bring my friends." Parker answered as Wednesday and Tyler walked in.
"Ah, this must be that friend of yours, Miss Wednesday?" Tyler asked.
"Yes. This is Parker." Wednesday answered as they approached the two women. "Parker, this is Mayor Tyler Cutebiker."
"Nice to meet you, Miss Parker." Tyler said while tipping his hat to her. "I heard from Ms. Addams here that you two are looking to move into our little town. Is that correct?"
"That's right." Parker nodded.
"Well you are in luck." Cutebiker said as he went over towards a nearby filing cabinet and sifted through the papers before pulling some out. "Gravity Falls has an abundance of homes and/or land for sale." he said as he placed the papers on the desk, followed by a map of Gravity Falls. "Now, is there any spot that you're looking for in particular?" he asked.
The two of them scanned the map and areas available for a moment before looking at each other, then at Cutebiker.
"What's the largest plot of land available?" Wednesday asked.

Robbie Valentino was not in the best of moods. Granted, the man hardly ever was, but that didn't mean he was in a permanent state of despair. However, his mood had been sour since Mr. McGucket had passed, for that meant one thing for him.
Helping out at his parent's funeral home.
Now he wouldn't mind it much since he was a gloomy man, but being at home meant that he had to suffer being around his parents. They weren't bad people at all. He knew they deeply loved him. His only problem was that they were too overly optimistic and cheerful for funeral home directors. That...
"Robbie~ Time for dinner."
And the fact that they babied him despite the fact he was an adult.
"I can make my own dinner." he grumbled as he stopped working on McGucket's headstone and dusted himself off before walking into the main house. He sat at the dining room table before his mother placed a meal of fish and veggies before him, all of it sorted to make the fish look like it was smiling up at him. "I gotta get out of this house." he muttered to himself.
"What was that, Robbie?" his mother asked with a smile.
"I said McGucket's tombstone is almost done." Robbie answered before he tried to eat.
"Uh uh uh." his mother said with a wag of her finger. "We don't eat until we're all here."
"Ugh, fine." Robbie groaned before looking at the empty seat at the table. "Where is dad anyway?"
"He's talking to a woman in the casket room." Janice answered as the father came in.
"Honey? A word, if you please?" Greg said to his wife. Janice stood up and walked over to her husband before the two began whispering to each other. Robbie watched them talk and look over at him a few times, making him raise an eyebrow before they stopped.
"That's a wonderful idea." Janice said with a smile before she hurried to the kitchen.
"What's mom doing?" Robbie asked.
"She's getting a plate for the guest I invited to dinner." his father answered before turning towards the doorway. "This way, please." he said. Robbie waited for a moment before he saw someone walk through the doorway, his eyes widening when he saw a pale woman with long black hair and wearing a black dress. His eyes followed her even as his father pulled out a chair for her to sit next to Robbie.
"Welcome to our home. This is my son, Robbie." Greg introduced.
"Hello." Susie said with a small smile. "My name is Susie. Nice to meet you."
"Uh...ab...ugh." Robbie got out through his flapping lips.
"Not much for words, are you?" Susie asked.
"Oh, Robbie's just a little shy." Greg chuckled as Janice walked in and placed a plate of food in front of Susie.
"I hope you don't mind fish." Janice said before she and her husband took their seats.
"I like fish." Susie answered.
"Then dig in." Janice said before she, her husband and Susie all began to eat. "Robbie. Your food's going to get cold." she said when she noticed Robbie just staring at Susie. He didn't take his eyes off Susie as his hand felt around for his fork until he found it. He then stabbed some veggies and poked them into his face a few times before he found his mouth, letting him chew his food.
'Who is this?' Robbie thought as he stared at Susie as she talked to his parents. He had no idea what they were talking, for his mind was too busy taking in Susie's beauty and figure. Soon his mind began to fill with images of him and Susie doing things together. Walking and side hugging each other. Him taking her for rides on a motorcycle he didn't own. Him and her drinking from the same milkshake. And finally, him and her kissing each other...
"Robbie? Rooobbie?" his mother called, snapping him out of kissing the air.
"What?! Where am I?" he asked before noticing someone was gone. "Where'd Susie go?"
"She left a few minutes ago. Said she had to meet her friends." his father answered.
"Aww man. I didn't even get to talk to her." Robbie said in a dejected voice.
"Well, you'll have plenty of chances to talk to her in the future." Janice said, making Robbie look at her. "She and her friends are planning on moving into our little town."
"She is?! YES!" Robbie cheered before leaving the table. "If you need me, I'll be writing a song for...uh, someone!" he said as he ran towards his room.
"Are you hearing wedding bells?" Janice asked her husband.
"I'm already picking out couple's caskets for them." Greg answered, making them both chuckle.
-Susie-
Susie had thanked the Valentino's for their hospitality before leaving, a small smile on her face.
"Shame they were so nice. Made it impossible to tell them I have a boyfriend." she said to herself, having guessed why Greg wanted her to meet his son. "Well, they'll know soon." she said as she looked back at the message on her phone to meet at the Mystery Shack at 7 to meet some locals. "I hope they are as pleasant as these kind folks have been." she said as she pocketed her phone and walked off.
A/N: Tell me, am I rotten for getting Robbie's hopes up? If so, I don't care. HAHAHA!
