Survivor - Heroes vs Villains
Chapter 39 - Day 34 & Day 35 Part 1
Okay, so I've been posting consistently for these past five weeks but I killed that streak by not posting last Wednesday. Bummer... This is cool and I'd love to But if life gets in the way, then I suppose I'll pump out the rest of these chapters when I need to.
This story should have been over at this point. Yet on the bright side, this whole era is lasting a little longer. That's the most positive thing I can say about this situation. By the time I start season 6, I know I need to have a lot of chapters ready by then... when I honestly feel like it's time. But just so that you all are aware, there will of course be no new Survivor season this year after this... your boy needs a break lol. At the same time though, I'll still be releasing stuff. So I ain't going nowhere. I've no reason to.
Let's see what's happening with these survivors today...

EPISODE 13: I Can Not Afford Another Loss In This Game
Darleem
Night 33
Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Zelda, Wolf, Ryu, Shovel Knight, Plague Knight
-/-
Well if there was one thing to take away from Tribal Council was that the vote was unanimous. Every last person in that group was on the same page. And knowing how late in the game it was? In a rare case, it was a situation in which everybody won to an extent.
Only catch was that the seven souls that went back to camp that night had their own reason for voting out Springtrap.
"Okay... That went pretty well for all of us." Zelda sighed, knowing that nobody's night was going to be ruined. "We all wrote off Springtrap without making anyone mad and now we can go to sleep happily. Probably no challenge tomorrow, so hopefully this is a solution that satisfies everyone."
"Yeah." Ryu commented, sitting down on the bed of the shelter. "Really does feel nice to be voting together as a tribe for once... Let me just get this fire going."
"Great job everyone." Shovel Knight smiled, before actually taking his helmet off. "It always saddens me when someone is told to vote one way and everyone votes another."
"Even I can say that." Wolf curled his lips smirking. "I really didn't want to vote him off, but I had to. He left Plague and I with no other choice."
"Ryu and I have officially avenged Bowser. And you know what? Golden and Ridley as well, since they were also part of our alliance." Hopefully for Donkey Kong, he and his only main buddy in Ryu were going to be safe for a little while. "We thought that we had the power to make the decision figuring that members of the six were targeting each other, and they were. And yet, we all ended up writing Springtrap off... including Wolf and Plague Knight. Wolf had enough of him, we talked it out, and we were able to do something together that satisfied not just the four of us, but everyone in general."
Separating himself from the rest of the tribe, Donkey Kong wanted to have a talk with the two of them alone.
"Okay, you both followed through on your word and actually got him out of here. I thank you two for that."
Wolf shrugged it off as if it was nothing. "He'll be alright. He's probably eating himself to death at Ponderosa right now."
Spoiler alert: he actually did eat a little too much. He called it.
"I just never thought you'd actually do it." Plague Knight laughed a little. "I mean I voted him off, too. But he was your best friend out here. I guess what happened with Bowser really lit a fire in you."
"He definitely got between me and Bowser. Game wise, smart move for him. But he's not gonna have me on all fours and pull me along with a leash. I may be a lot of things, but I ain't no lapdog."
Now it was Donkey Kong giggling. "I can't say you're the type that likes being told what to do. But you're right. You're your own man. We'll just get a good night's sleep and figure out what to do next. You two have saved my life and Ryu's, and we can't thank you enough."
"Throughout the entire day, I wanted Springy out the whole time. So I knew I had to lead him on as much as possible so that he had no clue of what was really gonna go down. And anyone that knows him knows that he never takes anything personally. He's not the kind of player that would be bitter about something like this, so he'll be fine. But the main thing that comes out of this was because of me trying to build some kind of relationship with Donkey Kong, I felt like it increased the chances of siding with Plague and I over everybody else. And with the two of us sacrificing Springtrap, hopefully it'll be more than enough for DK and Ryu to trust us moving forward."
Okay, so a little social maneuvering proved to be the right thing to do for him.
After DK left, the lupine and the small human were left alone.
"So... You okay?"
Plague Knight found that by itself to be amusing. "You're funny. I can't remember the last time someone has actually asked me something like that. Mona's usually the only one I know that cares about my well being."
"Alright, then. I'll simply take it back if you can't answer my question."
"Alright, I'm okay!" He looked past Wolf's glare to see if anybody from the shelter heard his quiet, yelling voice. People like him needed to understand that they had to control the volume of their voices, or else the wrong person was going to accidentally hear everything they were saying. "I'm okay... But like I said, I don't really get that often. I'm just... worried. Okay?"
"Hmph. Flattering." Now Wolf himself was finding the whole thing funny. "You're worried about me, or are you worried about you? You scared one of us is gonna get voted off right after him?"
"It's not that I'm worried about you,... even though you're the last ally that I have. So,... okay maybe I am worried about y-... both of us." The cloaked knight knew deep down inside how genuinely concerned he was for Wolf, but it was hard to admit for someone like him. "You are the last ally I have. Maybe voting off Springtrap shows them that we're willing to work with them for some more rounds in the game, but I just hope we didn't um... 'shoot ourselves in the foot over this.'"
Since he came from a world where guns did not exist, he had to learn a few forms of figure of speech from players that came from different planets.
"That would hurt. Both literally and figuratively. Ouch." Indeed it would have. Wolf was lost the game and his foot. That would have single-handedly made his second run in the game his worst season ever. "And I was gonna get ready to say that I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried in the slightest... I'm worried sick. This is literally where I went home last time. There's no such thing as 'lucky number seven' in my book, because Sonic made me get seventh place. Sonic cost me a million dollars."
"See? That's what I was thinking. We made Bowser get ninth place again, we just voted off Springtrap, and now there's a possibility you might get seventh place again! ...I mean, I'm not you or anything. But knowing everything that happened, that would be awful for you."
"I'm trying to not think about it too much, Plague, but I know I have to do everything in my power to make sure it doesn't happen again. If I can just get past seventh, a huge weight will be lifted off my shoulders. Even if I go out sixth, it's a higher spot than seventh. But,... I really can't do this without you, Plague. Not just saying that just for the sake of being convincing. It's a literal fact."
"After I lost Specter and Shadow, I was determined to not have any of my allies go anymore. I... I can't do this alone. I can't!" Well that was one thing Plague Knight was not ashamed to admit. "I didn't even know Springtrap was going home until Wolf told me last minute! And he told me that the plan was already set in stone and everybody else was going to put his name down. So I've had no other choice, or else I would have been the only one that didn't vote with the majority. Maybe I can understand why Wolf wanted him out, but what about me? Another ally lost. I continue to surprise myself that I'm simply still here in this game every single day. Wolf is literally all that I have at this point, and something tells me that him going home next is exactly what's going to happen if we don't play this right. I can not afford another damn loss in this game."
"We only have each other now. And I will show you that we've made the right choice. I said what I needed to say to DK, so hopefully he and Ryu could have our back for this next round." O'Donnell said. "And,... just say that you need me already. Come on."
"What? You want me to massage your ego? Is that it?"
"Not really what I'm saying. It's just okay to tell someone how you really feel. And I just did that with you by telling you that I do need you to stay in this game. You need my vote to stay in this game. Don't mistake me for a fool, Plague. You're worried about me leaving, and you were trailing off a ton when you were explaining yourself just a moment ago."
Damn. He got him good.
Heaving a sigh in great defeat, he swallowed his pride. "Fine... I need you to stay here. I need you, I need you, I need you. There... Happy now?"
"..." Wolf curled his lips in great satisfaction. "I applaud you for being vulnerable for once. That right there is growth to me. You'll thank me later."
Day 34
"You already checked tree mail?"
Ryu eyed Shovel and Plague Knight heading back their way to the shelter with Wolf also being present at the scene.
"We did." The shovel wielder nodded. "But there was nothing, so we officially have the day off. ...I'm assuming the water goers will be back soon?"
"Hopefully, cause I'm thirsty." Wolf could not have afforded to be dehydrated. He remembered when his old friend in Panther needed water desperately in his season after winning the final six immunity challenge. "If I end up being medically evacuated, it's gonna be all their fault."
Yes, so Zelda, Donkey Kong, and Yoshi all needed to hurry up.
Ryu took a glance up at the sky. "The sky is cloudy for now, but it doesn't look too dark. I suppose we'll get a couple of us to head out on the raft to go fishing today."
"I think Zelda would not mind going." Shovel volunteered for her. "She is slowly making progress of how it all works."
"Okay. Well if she's gonna be a part of that, I'll help start the fire. Maybe whenever the sun comes out again, we could go ahead and do laundry." Hopping out of the shelter, the wolf went over to the tool box to retrieve the flint. "But hey, six more days of this crap then we'll all be done, folks."
"Indeed." Shovel grinned from beneath his helmet. "We're almost there, everyone. We all have our old seasons, but this will be the most memorable adventure we've ever had in our lives. Something that we'll always remember."
"Yeah, and I'm sure ten years from now, we will all be interviewed for some sort of documentary or something. We're gonna be in the limelight forever."
"Well, I suppose all of us being famous gives us an advantage." Plague Knight spoke. "I mean, I was already kinda well known back in Chivaland for being the most popular scientist in my world that also knows how to defend myself. And me being on two Survivor seasons only elevates my platform making me reach newer heights. So I see this as an opportunity for me that I would have never gotten if it weren't for this."
"I've been fighting my whole life. I do it for a living." Ryu brought up. "And even when it comes to me, the fame can get a little out of hand knowing how much people are interested in you. Every time you turn around, someone bombards you with a million questions and I have to remind myself to keep my composure."
"Okay, well if you can keep your composure when it comes to your opponents, you are probably more likely to deal with the fame than other folks. Paparazzi is not as intense as it once was. What they did to a certain someone back in 2007 was a mess." Oh, Wolf did not... Anyone that was familiar with a certain musical artist knew exactly who he was referring to. "But due to the rise of social media, they have calmed down a little. Though they can still have their moments. But for me personally, being in a magazine is something I find rather flattering. I am already anticipating of the things they are gonna say about me."
"Probably things that are rather untruthful." said Shovel Knight. "I've heard plenty of horror stories from some of the others that this 'media' likes to create lies and make up false narratives."
"Debunk them, then." Wolf hunched his shoulders. "But only address things that are absolutely necessary for the sake of your own protection."
"Ever since I became associated with my master Grouken, I pretty much grew up in the limelight. My master protected me for as much as he could have. But there were many moments growing up where I would turn the corner and people would recognize me without me even having the slightest clue of who they were. It still happens to this day, but it's always a matter of how you handle everything." Ryu was right. It was all about the reaction to things being thrown one's way. "To all future players out there that will have their lives changed forever because of this, if you can just keep a level head, it'll do you a huge favor. And that is advice that I can give to myself."
"You know what would really be funny, though?" Ryu suddenly had a thought. "All seventy-eight of us contestants over the past five seasons all live together in some sort of mansion or something with Master Hand and his brother as our leaders. What do you guys think of that?
...
No comment. At all. NO. COMMENT.
It was best to hurry up and move onto the next topic... What were Zelda, DK, and Yoshi up to? They needed to hurry up and give everyone their damn water!
"Not that it matters anymore, but it does kinda sadden me a little that us heroes have the overall majority and um... literally no one cares." Oh yes, Yoshi was correct. Say if tribal lines were... anything at that point, the heroes lead four to three. "Except for Shovel, all of the heroes are standing right here. We could all go top four together, but.. it's obviously not gonna work."
"It never will." Donkey Kong shook his head, he and the others walking along the trail back to the shelter. "Especially on how I'm the only one of us that is in a different alliance. It is rather unfortunate that we went from being the underdogs together losing a lot of the challenges to now have the old tribe numbers advantage, only for it all to mean nothing. But this is not the first time tribal lines became irrelevant late in the game, and it's not gonna be the last. It'll probably grow even more complicated as the seasons go on."
"I agree with both of you." said Zelda. "Tribal lines are always blurred post-merge, but it's always something to imagine any kind of what-if scenario when it comes to this competition. Every time when something happened in my old season that did not really work to my favor, I'm always thinking of things that I could have done differently."
For example, her finding away to secure at least a single jury vote in the final three without Marth Lowell taking all of her votes away.
"Let's look at the bright side. We outlasted more than half our old tribe." Sure, DK had a point. "Isabelle, Mario, Sonic, Meta Knight, Vector, Golden? All three of us were aligned with some of them and we lost them. But we're still here in this. For me in particular, given that I'm the only one of the current four of us that did not even secure a top ten placement in my old season, this is good for me. I'm waking up every morning surprised that I'm still here, considering that I've made it a lot further than last time."
"And you should be proud of that." Zelda felt proud for him. "You shouldn't have gone home in that round at all. I am not trying to bash Mewtwo or anything. But for strategy, that was not the correct move to make."
"Yeah..." Yoshi nodded in agreement. "He kinda voted you out for no reason... And while we're talking about him, I still can't believe he went through the entire pre-merge without having one confessional. He was even almost voted out right before the merge with still nothing from him at the time. That's... That's crazy!"
"Well given that I'm still here, I suppose it's in the past now. And I'm learning a lot more about myself this time in my second season."
And yes, Mewtwo had probably the weirdest edit out of every last contestant on the show thus far. The most interesting about it all was that he somehow still became a notable character in season one. It was yet another reason why Kodai Island was not the best season at all. The edit was all over the place. Some characters were overexposed, some were under-edited, and even the original 'one challenge away from winning the season' man in Lucario had little to no personality whatsoever from what the viewers witnessed.
"I think that is good to see Donkey Kong still doing well out here. He's continuing to surprise himself by still being on the island, and I know what that feels like. I opened my eyes to see a new day back in season two, with me finding an interesting that I was somehow still in the game. That was how I felt back in my season. And despite it all, I ended up actually making it all the way to the end. So I know what the whole thing feels like. And part of Zelda felt like it was wonder to see herself making it this deep into the game again. Her clean record of never getting voted off was still in tact. "However, him and I have been in different alliances for pretty much the whole time, and I don't ever see that changing unfortunately."
"He is going to stick by Ryu, which I don't even blame him since that's the only main ally he has these days... But now, Shovel, Yoshi, and I were all thinking the same thing. We all feel like that there is the chance that those two have officially hooked up with Plague Knight and Wolf, and we're all of a sudden back on the bottom like we were a few rounds before."
When the water was finally being given out to the rest of her tribe mates, she motioned Shovel to follow her way towards the water, and the scene suddenly switched to them being right by it.
"I really wish we were able to get Yoshi over here, but right now... I don't think it's good if we make it obvious."
"And uh, we might have to make this quick." Shovel warned her, him staring in the direction the shelter was. "Ryu might end up joining us to see your progress on your fishing. He's probably going to get the raft."
She sighed at this. The woman really needed to have a crucial conversation with both of her allies. Now it all just had to be rushed until they find the time to have a secret dialogue with each other. "Okay... To make it a long story short, I feel like it's best for us to not trust any of those four. I know we all agreed on Springtrap, but I don't know if we can really trust SGA to stick with us."
"It's not hard to see why they would not think that way." He was no dummy. Shovel knew where she was going. "If they still had the desire to vote with us, they would have obviously been four and five. I would have been surprised if they still wished to work with us to write off Ryu and DK, because it would not be a wise me for either of the games to stick with us heroes."
"Exactly. So we have to assume that they're going to take this opportunity to try to write one of us off next. We need to come up with a plan soon so that we can prevent this."
"Ryu's coming."
"Okay, okay. Just... we'll figure it out." She really wished to the Goddesses that she had more time to spill some more tea on those four particular castaways.
"Alright, Zel." And there he was, pushing the raft right towards him. "Let's see what you got. You guys ready?"
"I believe that the Hero Three is actually going to be in grave danger." Shovel Knight predicted. "Survivor is a numbers game, and Zelda and I are both thinking that if people are sneaky enough, one of us could be blindsided. I fear that we might have to put more work in for the sake of defending ourselves..."
Day 35
"Alright. You guys ready to get to today's immunity challenge?"
All lined up side by side, the competitors knew they had to stay focused. Every individual's games were on the line, and the final three was coming their way. But just four more people needed to be eliminated first.
"First things first, I gotta take the necklace back from Plague Knight for a second time."
Groaning in frustration, he stomped his way over meeting the master halfway.
"Huh. Surprised you even moved. Deep down inside, you were probably ready for me to take it from you."
OOH!
"You know what? Maybe you're right. The sooner you take it from me, the sooner we can get this challenge just so that I can win it again!"
OOOOOH!
"Alright. I'm gonna let you have that one." Damn. The Master Hand just gave up. Hopefully Plague Knight was proud of himself. "Once again, immunity is back up for grabs. For today's challenge, you will use eight blocks to spell immunity on an unbalanced table. To keep the table steady, you will be pulling on a rope. At any point your blocks fall, you gotta start again. First person to make it back to their post without their blocks falling over wins immunity, guaranteed a one in six shot at a million dollars. Losers, Tribal Council where someone will be the fourteenth person voted out of Survivor and will become the seventh member of our jury."
Who did the challenge previously?
"This challenge was done in Survivor - Kodai Island. However, Sonic's gone, Mario's gone, Bowser's gone, and DK was already out of the game before this challenge took place in his first season. Wolf is the only one that has already participated in this challenge, yet he didn't win."
"I see that as an opportunity." He curled his lips into a grin. "Never won an immunity before, so maybe today's my day."
"We'll see how this goes. We will draw for spots and get started."
-/-
Donkey Kong, Wolf, Plague Knight, Zelda, Shovel Knight, Yoshi and Ryu all from left to right were ready to get it on. And yes, they all drew sticks or straws or... something for their spots. Sure, it was probably did not sound too convincing given that the entire Hero Three alliance stood right next to each other. But they took up almost more than half the whole tribe... Did that alone spoke volumes that one of them needed to go?
"Alright, here we go. For immunity. Survivors ready? ...GO!"
Everyone dashed off quickly to their barrels where their tied up bags of lettered blocks laid. Fast fingers were needed to undo the bag quickly before they were dumped out.
And once they were, people hurried their way onto the course.
"I know it's been a harsh thirty-five days for all of you. But for this challenge, you gotta remember how to spell. At least a little bit. Otherwise,... I dunno what to tell you."
Okay if he wanted to outright call the castaways stupid, certainly he had the guts to say that at the time. He shaded them all before. Though for this instance, it was best to not be too hard on him. All they had to do was spell 'immunity' and that was bit... backwards while balancing blocks on a wobbly table.
"Everybody is starting with their first letter."
The 'Y' had to be on the bottom. Now since it was only one block, there was no excuse for literally anybody to be having a hard time. Some folks were just faster runners than others, but it did not really mean much at that point.
Though things were going to get more difficult every time players placed down another block. Even with just the first one, automatically running back to the barrel to grab the second letter was not the smartest move at all. Otherwise, it was just plainly asking the one block on the wobbly table to fall off with ease.
It was why they had to use the rope as a guide to keep the table straight as they paced backwards to the barrel.
"Yoshi is gonna be the first to head out with his second letter."
Alright! Go, Yoshi! This was his very first time leading in any challenge. What a way to have a good start.
"Gotta snag that lead while you can before the challenge forces you to pace slowly, or else your stack will fall in no time."
Wolf, Plague Knight, Shovel Knight, and Ryu were right on him with their second letters, both the lupine and martial artist carrying the block in their mouth... They had to be careful to not bite down too hard, or else their teeth were going to hurt.
"Everybody coming back with their second later. Competition rather close out of the gate."
They were all getting ready to handle their third lettered-block now, and things were probably going to get a little tricky from that point on.
Yoshi still had his lead, Wolf and Shovel Knight staying on his tail. The four stayed in it, not having any wish to widen the gap.
"This is once again a challenge where anyone can win. You just have to find the right balance between hurrying up and being careful. Right now it is Yoshi leading. It would be his very first immunity win if no one ever steals it front him."
"I got this. I got this..." He continued to mumble to himself, pacing backwards back to the barrel to retrieve block number four.
"Don't rush, Plague. Don't rush..." Plaguey had no reason too. He was doing fine.
"Yoshi now coming down with number four... Wolf and Shovel Knight are right now the top two threats to catch him. Zelda just now placing down her third block. She seems to never be in a rush at all in most of these challenges."
Basically one of those people that believed in slow and steady winning the race.
"Backing up... Backing up... Backing up..." Yoshi was backing up like Spongebob Squarepants with his boat mobile as he paced his way backwards to his post, keeping his eyes on the wobbling table.
"Wolf heading back. Shovel heading back. Plague's now placing his fourth block down. Ryu, Donkey Kong, and Zelda are all being rather comfortable taking their time. They're banking on people to drop."
If that was the case, surely anxiety was going to set in rather soon for them. Yoshi was now holding block number five getting ready to walk his way down with it.
"...Oh no!"
"Shovel's stack is out of nowhere wobbling a lot!"
And that was going to force the knight to stay still until he got his stack under control. Thankfully he was able to keep it together, but this of course cost him a few crucial seconds of time. Now it was going to be even harder for him to catch up with Yoshi, and Wolf for him was starting a be a problem by himself.
With all this, he ended up being neck-n-neck with Plague Knight.
"Yoshi coming down with block number five. Wolf still right there. Neither of them have had any mishaps so far."
Was it appropriate for Wolf to speed up just a little bit, or was it still a tad too early to do it? No pressure on the man, though. After all, it was just his life on the line.
Both men were getting ready to place down their next block onto their stacks, now being more than halfway done with the spelling of 'immunity.' Wolf's stack was still rather solid, not showing much of a sign of it suddenly crashing down.
Yoshi, however...
"...No!"
"Yoshi's stack falls and he loses everything!"
"Yes!" Perfect opportunity for Mr. O'Donnell.
"Now I gotta start all over again!"
Nah, duh...
"It is now Wolf in the lead. Another castaway that has never won immunity. If he could pull it off right here, he would guarantee himself a better placement on this season than on Kodai Island."
The most important thing for him was to not make a mistake. Plague and Shovel were still in the running as well and neither of them have made any big mistakes at the time.
"Wolf coming back to his station getting ready to retrieve his sixth block..." Master Hand kept an 'eye' on his stack. "His blocks are wobbling a little but he's doing a good job keeping it under control."
"Take your time Shovel. If he falls, you might have a chance..." Zelda talked with her main ally, once again taking advantage of her station being right next to Shovel Knight's.
"What if he doesn't?"
Well, he was on block number six already. If things kept going well for him, he had potential to finish with a full stack and without any incidents.
"Wolf is placing his sixth block now. He has to go back and grab his last two one at a time. ...Can Plague or Shovel catch up with him?"
Donkey Kong and Ryu began to slightly pick up the pace.
"Just take your time, Wolf. Take your time..." Panther was really rubbing off on him. Though if there was anywhere appropriate for Wolf to be talking in the third person, it was at an immunity challenge where he had to remind himself to stay calm and keep focused. So maybe it was a better move to not complain, since it could have been the very thing that allowed him to win immunity...
...if the necklace did end up being his of course.
"Wolf's now grabbing his seventh block. Plague and Shovel are both placing down their sixth block. They can either make some big moves from here on out or hope that Wolf drops."
Whatever it took for them to have a fighting chance of catching up to them, it was all up to the Survivor Gods to decide.
Donkey Kong in particular was just not lucky that day, since he failed to properly secure his fifth block on the stack.
"DK drops... He could be out of it if one of the front runners pulls out the win here."
Poor him...
"Wolf is now placing his seventh block. He needs to pace his way back to retrieve his last one. Could he finally win an immunity challenge right here?"
"Don't mess this up..." He continued talking to himself. "Don't blow it. Don't..."
And he blew it. The stack completely tumbled down.
"Aw, come on!"
And that was how to get a guy like him out of his character. He was never known for losing his patience.
"Wolf drops! Plague and Shovel are now the ones to beat. You two are both in this!"
"Do not rush, Shovel. Slow and steady." Zelda encouraged, finally on her way to get her fifth block. "I'm gonna try and keep up if something happens."
"Shovel and Plague Knight are both grabbing their seventh block... Ryu is working on his sixth. He has a shot now."
The Japanese Smasher took a quick glance at both of them before nimbly shifting his head back in front of his own work. If he was somehow going to pull off a win, he was definitely going to be surprised at himself.
"Shovel and Plague Knight have both placed down their seventh later. They are making their way back to grab their very last one. ...Zelda doing her best to catch up. She's working on her sixth. Ryu on his way to get block number seven."
And for everybody else that was not called, they were highly likely to be out of it. But for the two front runners in particular, they were actually thinking of looking at each other quite a bit. It took everything in them to keep their eyes on what they were doing.
"Shovel and Plague Knight are both placing down their last letter and it is going to be a slow race to the finish. They must take their time, but they need to be mindful of one another." Okay, so obviously the winner was going to be between one of them at this point. "Who is gonna get there first?"
"Don't blow this now, Shovel." Zelda spoke out loud. "Be careful."
Neither guys said a word as they continued to step backwards. They were never going to feel any better until they were both back at their stations. It was just that one of them was going to get there first.
"This is gonna be very close!"
Shovel Knight vs Plague Knight. An official Shovel Knight showdown. Both men have won immunity before, but who was gonna get it this time?
...
"...Done!"
"Master!"
"PLAGUE KNIGHT WINS IMMUNITY!"
"Oh, my, goodness!"
"..." Shovel Knight exhaled deeply, letting go of his rope to allow his stack to fall. He was literally right there.
"It's okay." Zelda was already trying to cheer him up. "It's okay, Shovel. You did really well."
"It's the same thing like last time."
The more eccentric knight was so elated, he was already skipping his way over to Master Hand as if he was nothing but a small child... Well he was not exactly a tall person to begin with.
"Third time's a charm!"
"That's something you say when you failed to do something twice before you get right on a third time." The Survivor host corrected. "But I'll let you have it with this one. You are safe from Tribal Council once again, and you are now guaranteed a one in six shot at winning, this, game."
...Honestly, what were Plague's chances of that actually happening at the moment considering on everything that happened in Heroes vs Villains?
"I can't believe I just let that slip right through my fingers." Obviously Wolf was frustrated and he had every right to be. That was the closest he ever was to winning the necklace and he failed again. What did he have to do to win individual immunity? Good Lord...
"Alright. So here's where we stand. Plague Knight has won his third individual immunity necklace this season. He's not going anywhere. The rest of you standing in front of me are going to be vulnerable at Tribal Council. One of you will be going home tonight."
"What a way to rub it in." Donkey Kong commented.
"The truth hurts."
Ahahahaha!
"I can't wait to see who it's gonna be. I'll see you all at tribal."
Now, who had something to say. Somebody was going to have something to say. Hmm... Donkey Kong.
"Plague Knight of all people is becoming an immunity threat now, but I guess that's the least of my problems. Right now Ryu and I still need his vote and especially Wolf's so that we can all finally weaken the Hero Three. I know we all agreed on the same person, but the heroes are on the chopping block and they know it. If one of them is not out here next, one of them just might win this game. ...I'm looking at you, Zelda. You've always been such a nice person, but you have been my enemy since the very beginning. I want you to finally go home. Please."
You heard the man. Zelda, go home... Nah, I'm just kidding. She's literally not allowed to write herself off anyway.
Do yall see her going home or... anybody else? Wolf didn't even win immunity, so he's vulnerable too. DK and Ryu are super tough physical players that can win the right challenge at the wrong time at any point, Yoshi still has his idol, Plague has his advantage but he's immune, and Zelda and Shovel are an unbreakable pair.
...So basically anybody can go home if your name's not Plague Knight. All of your favs better be in your prayers.
