Maggie grunted a few times as she shifted in her bed before her eyes fluttered open.
"Ugggh...what happened?" she asked as she sat up and rubbed her aching head. "Where am...I...urgh..." Maggie groaned as she held her stomach before slapping a hand to her lips, her cheeks puffing up. She began to panic and look around before seeing a bucket on the bed side table near her, a note reading 'VOMIT BUCKET' stuck to it. Thinking fast, she grabbed the bucket and proceeded to throw up a few times. After her stomach finally calmed down, she put the bucket back on the table and noticed a bottle of water that had been next to it, a bigger note taped to it. She took the note and slowly began to read it.
Dear Maggie,
If you're reading this, then you're awake. Congratulations!
She couldn't help the tiny smile at that, having a gut feeling of who wrote the letter.
If you're having trouble remembering what happened, think back to us watching that abandoned factory being demolished.
She closed her eyes and took a moment to think before remembering talking to Luan and three men, all of them watching the factory being destroyed. She then remembered seeing a three headed duck that was spewing flames before she started to throw back beers.
"Guess that's why I feel like shit." Maggie whispered to herself before looking at the bucket. "And why she left this bucket and water bottle." She took the water, gargled some of it before spitting into the bucket to rinse any puke out of her mouth. She then drank some to ease her burning throat before going back to reading.
As to why you're in bed? You needed to sleep off the alcoho you drankl. Started talking about how hot it was and decided to cool off.
Maggie thought on that for a moment before her face turned red, the memories of her trying to strip slamming into the front of her mind. She groaned and cradled her head in her hands before going back to the note.
When you're feeling better, and feel up to it, come on down and join the party. Everyone's going to be talking and having fun. And don't worry. I'll make sure Zim doesn't go anywhere near you.
Your friend,
Luan
Maggie hugged herself at the reminder of Zim, her fear of him creeping up on her. She stayed curled up on the bed for a few moments before she took a few deep breaths, got off the bed and walked towards the door.
"Come on, Maggie. You can do this. You know he's a nice guy. Just...endure it until you can erase him from your mind." Maggie told herself before slowly opening the door. She could hear noise from downstairs more clearly now as she quietly crept out of the room and towards the staircase. 'Sounds like they're having fun.' she thought as she tiptoed down the stairs and hugged the wall next to the doorway. She swallowed the lump in her throat before she leaned over and peeked into the room. She could see a lot of people in the room, both familiar and unfamiliar, talking and eating and having a great time.
She could see Susie sitting next to Robbie on the couch. He was trying to woo her, despite her not looking interested. She saw Thompson and Nate chanting 'chug chug chug' to a blonde man who was downing sodas from the snack table alongside Lee and Lynn, their sisters and Haiku cheering for them to not be outdrunk by the other, with Mandy and Mindy keeping score.
"Drink, Lynn, drink!" Lily cheered.
"Go Lee!" Marie yelled.
"You can do this, Lee!" the Thompson said before frowning. "Wait. I just realized two of them are named Lee. This is confusing."
"Shut up and chant, Thompson!" Nate laughed.
Maggie gave a small smirk before looking in the corner of the room to see Lisa, Wednesday and Tak fiddling with an undisguised Mimi, with Tenn standing nearby and watching.
"I just can't seem to figure out how to get rid of the last bits of Gir's programming from her mind. At least, not without wiping it entirely, and I'd rather not do that." Tak explained.
"Well, I'm not having much luck either." Lisa said as she typed on a laptop before it was flooded with images of clowns, dancing hotdogs and angry monkeys before crashing. "Arrgh! Not again!"
"Maybe you can connect her to Tal and see if she can delete those fragments." Tenn suggested.
"Or Gir's coding could corrupt Tal and make her as unstable and insane as Gir." said Wednesday.
"...Withdrawn." Tenn muttered.
'Which one was Gir?' Maggie wondered before seeing Lum looking over Parker and Tambry's shoulders, the two messing with their phones in silence.
"So you two can take pictures of yourself and post them on something called the Internet?" Lum asked.
"Photos, videos, and so much more." Parker answered before she started a video recording. "Hey everyone. Here in a place called Gravity Falls. Met some new friends." she said before panning the camera over to Lum and Tambry.
"Who's she talking to?" Lum asked Tambry.
"Online fans." Tambry answered, her eyes not leaving her phone.
'Phone fanatics.' Maggie thought with an eyeroll before looking everyone over again. Something was bothering her about the scene, but she couldn't put her finger on-
Her eyes widened, her breath stopped and her mind screeched to a halt. One second of rapid eye movement and headcounting later had her realize what was wrong.
Luan wasn't there...and neither was Zim.
She hid back behind the wall as images of Zim and Luan together played in her mind. Each one having Zim force himself upon her comedic friend. She nearly screamed when she envisioned Zim fucking her until she exploded, with little baby Zims going everywhere. She violently shook her head before she backed away and headed for the back.
"Gotta get out of here! Gotta find Luan!" she whispered as she reached for the door handle. She stopped when she suddenly heard a lot of laughter. One she recognized as Luan and another she could guess was Zim. She was scared of being near Zim, but her friend being in potential danger overrode it just enough to give her the courage to slowly step outside. She didn't see them at first, but then saw the light of a campfire not too far away. She quietly crept up towards the voices and laughter before hiding behind a nearby tree, her nerves starting to get to her again. She clenched her fists and steeled herself before she carefully peeked out from behind her cover. She saw Zim sitting between Gaz and Luan on one log, with Mabel, Pacifica and Wendy sitting across from them, their bodies illuminated by the fire in the middle. 'Thank God! She's safe.' she thought in relief before staying put, hoping to find a way to get her friend away from Zim. All she could do now was listen in and wait.
"You can not be serious." Wendy chuckled. "You turned yourself, and Gaz's brother, Dib, into giant hunks of living bologna?"
"It's true. Not one of my best days." Zim admitted. "We sat in that abandoned house for a long time, the place surrounded by hungry stray dogs."
"How'd you turn back to normal? Did it wear off?" Pacifica asked.
"No. Luckily, Gaz was ordered by her father to bring Dib home." Zim answered.
"You made the antidote?" Mabel asked.
"No. I broke into Zim's base and told the computer to fix them. It refused and threatened to kill me before I threatened to fib to Gir about hiding a chocolate bar in the base. He made the antidote on the spot." Gaz explained.
"And thanks to that, Dib and I were ourselves again." Zim finished. "Though we still smelled like bologna for days." he huffed, sending the women into laughter. "Dogs chased us for days. Gir joined them!" Zim added, making Mabel fall over laughing.
"Stop! I can't breathe!" the brunette wheezed.
"Your town sounds like it got a lot of it's own crazy shit." Wendy chuckled.
"You have no idea." Gaz said with a smile. "I didn't care much for it then since I just saw everyone around me as a total idiot."
"Well, sorry for being a total idiot." Zim said in a mock hurt tone, earning a playful shove from Gaz.
"I said everyone." Gaz chuckled before pulling him close to her. "And besides, unlike a lot of people in the city, you got better."
"Only because of you." Zim said as he leaned against her with a smile. Luan and Mable grinned while Wendy rolled her eyes with a smile. Pacifica, however, gave a sigh and a sad smile.
"You two are lucky." the blonde woman said. "I wish I had a boyfriend. Well, one that isn't interested in my social status or body."
"When you find one, ask if he has a brother." Wendy joked.
"You know, you could still-"
"Don't finish that sentence, Mabel!" Pacifica growled, her good mood instantly vanishing. "We've been over this. It's not happening."
"Aw, come on! Why not? You two were so close." Mabel whined.
"Well that was then and this is now." Pacifica countered.
"Uh, 'scuse me? Confused green guy here." Zim spoke up. "What are you two talking about?"
"Mabel's been trying to set me up with her brother, Dipper." Pacifica began before shouting. "I refuse to have anything to do with him!"
"Why? Is he an asshole?" Luan asked.
"No. He's one of the nicest guys we know." Wendy answered. "He's smart, he's funny and won't back down when facing a problem or helping a friend."
"And yet you hate him...why?" Luan asked.
"I...I don't know." Pacifica admitted. "I can't explain it. We started dating the second Summer he and Mabel came. We kept in touch when they went back home. The dates we went on were fun. I even told my parents to shove off when they told me not to date him since he was a 'low born peasant.'" Pacifica went on, using her fingers to show the air quotes. She smiled at the memories before frowning again. "I really thought he was a great guy."
"What happened?" Gaz asked.
"We went on a date a few years ago. We were having fun, like usual. We were eating, talking and laughing...and out of nowhere, we were spitting fire and at each other's throats." Pacifica answered.
"You serious? You just started hating each other for no reason?" Luan asked with a dumfounded expression.
"I know. I can't figure it out either. And whenever I try to think on it, I see Dipper's face and I just...want to punch something!" Pacifica said, growling the last part before sighing. "Even if we made up, he's already moved on and found a new girlfriend."
"Who?" Gaz asked.
"Me." Pacifica answered.
"...Okay, now maybe you can give us an answer that doesn't confuse the crap out of us." Luan suggested.
"My brother and Grunkle Ford were pulled into another dimension by an alternate version of themselves." Mabel began. "It was a Summer after Dipper and Pacifica broke. They were down in the old lab, and-"
"Speed it up, Mabel." Pacifica said with a grunt, earning an annoyed sigh from her friend.
"While they were trying to get back, Dipper met an alternate Pacifica. Since she wasn't her, he had nothing against her, especially since she wasn't a bitch to him during their first encounter." Mabel explained. "Before they came back, both Grunkle Fords made a device to let them talk to each other from their own dimensions."
"Huh. I've heard of long distance relationships, but this is ridiculous." Luan joked, earning a few chuckles.
"Heheh. Funny." Pacifica giggled before standing up. "Well, I gotta get going. Need to get ready for tomorrow."
"You gonna be okay? Want some company?" Mabel offered.
"...Maybe later?" Pacifica said in an unsure voice as her gaze was to the ground. She looked up when she felt herself being pulled into a side hug from Mabel. She smiled as the two walked off, leaving the others alone with the campfire.
"Poor Pacifica." Wendy muttered before seeing the other three look at her. "McGucket's death hit her bad."
"Was she related to him in some way?" Zim asked.
"No, but he took care of her and helped get her back on her feet when her parents threw her out." Wendy explained before standing up. "And that's all I'm going to say. You want to hear more? You'll have to ask her yourself. Fair warning. It's a sore subject."
"Thanks for the heads up." Gaz said before Wendy walked off. "Where you going?"
"Gonna see if my ex is annoying any of your friends. I think he's trying to get together with the one called Susie." Wendy answered.
"Okay. See you." Gaz said before looking at Luan. "And then there were three." she said before her stomach growled. "Mind being two while I grab a bite from the shack?" Gaz asked.
"Don't worry. I'll watch him." Luan said.
"I'm a grown Irk. Not a lost child." Zim huffed.
"True, but it's hard to tell when you're so small and cute." she said, making Zim turn away with a blush.
"Careful, Luan. I haven't approved of you, so no funny stuff." Gaz said in friendly warning.
"She says to the comedian." Luan replied, making all three of them laugh before Gaz walked away, with Zim watching her hips sway and butt bounce.
"By Irk, I love that woman." Zim sighed lovingly.
"Really? I hadn't noticed." Luan snarked with a smile.
'Oh man. They're both alone. What if he tries something?!' Maggie thought as she continued to watch them.
"What? I got something on my face?" he asked when he saw Luan silently staring at him, a smile on her face.
"I'm just trying to figure out the guy that has my sisters falling head over heels for." Luan answered.
"Oh? Well, what do you think of me, aside from being an alien?" Zim asked.
"Let's see. For starters, you're cute." Luan began.
'How can she think he's cute?!' Maggie mentally screamed.
"Well, thank you." Zim said with a grin.
"I heard that you're good and kind and helped all those other women there." Luan added.
"Well I had a lot of help from Gaz and her friends, but yes." Zim admitted. The two kept talking while Maggie kept her eyes on Zim.
"So, do you like comedy?" Luan asked.
"I've watched quite a few of them. Saw their skits and heard their voices in movies. Laughed so hard sometimes that I stopped breathing. My Pak had to revive me a few times." Zim answered, making them both laugh. "I even looked up some of your comedy routines. I'd have watched them all, but I keep pausing until I can get my laughter under control."
"Hahaha! Come on. I'm not that great." Luan laughed.
"I'm being serious." Zim said. "You're definitely better than when I tried."
"Oh? You tried to be a comedian?" Luan asked in curiosity.
"It wasn't anything big. Just a sk...school talent show. Nothing big. Just a 15 minute skit." Zim waved off.
"Sometimes the little things we do in school can make a big difference in our lives in the future." said Luan. "How'd you do?"
"...I got first place." Zim answered.
"Really? That's great!" Luan said in congratulations. "What was your skit about?"
"Dib and his big head." Zim chuckled.
"Dib? You mean Gaz's brother?" Luan asked.
"The same annoying jackass." Zim nodded.
"Isn't that a little mean insulting your girlfriend's brother?" Luan asked with a frown. Zim slowly turned his stony gaze towards her.
"That guy has hounded me and threatened to cut me open on an autopsy table since the first day we met." he said in a bored tone. "And as for Gaz, she was the one who pushed me to joke about Dib in the first place."
"What? Why?" Luan asked in astonishment.
"Revenge." was his simple answer. "Gaz was, and still is, a vindictive person to those who cross her."
"What'd he do to her?" she asked.
"A week before the show, Gaz ordered a pizza with a new topping from Bloaty's Pizza Hog. Thing is, she wasn't at home at the moment, so she called Dib and told him to be there to get it and bring it in so she could eat it when she arrived. He said he would, but then ran off when he saw something digging in the trash and thought it was a baby bigfoot or something."
"Was it?" Luan asked. "I'm only asking because, as shocking as it still is to me, I'm starting to believe in those old fairy tales and such."
"Turns out it was." Zim chuckled. "Anyway, the pizza guy came, no one answered, so he took it back."
"Gaz wasn't happy?" Luan asked, already knowing the answer.
"She promised him endless suffering. After that, she came to me to help her get her revenge. I made one joke about his head while we were talking about it, it lead to more jokes that made her laugh, she suggested the talent show and, well, you know the rest." Zim finished.
"All that for pizza, huh? Hehe. Wonder if she could give Lola tips on being vindictive." Luan joked. "Still, I do find it a little mean to make fun of someone for having a big head."
"Why?" Zim asked.
"Well, I guess I had a bit of a big head before I grew up." Luan answered as she took out her phone and showed a picture of herself and some of her other sisters in their teen years.
"Hmm. Yeah, your head does look a little bigger than theirs." Zim agreed. "But it doesn't make you any less cute." he said, making her blush before he looked her up and down. "And you did grow into it, unlike Dib."
"Alright, I'm at my limit." Luan huffed. "How big is his head that you can't stop saying that?"
"This big." Zim answered while bringing up a picture on his phone. Luan took one look at it before her eyes widened.
"Whoa! How is his neck supporting that?!" she blurted out before stifling her laughter with her fist. "I'm-I'm sorry!"
"Don't be. Everyone knows he's got a big head." Zim laughed. "Now you see why we keep saying it?"
"I see it alright. I see every inch of it!" Luan laughed. "It's bigger than mine!"
"It's bigger than everyone's!" Zim chuckled. "Sometimes the kids would worry about being pulled into the eliptical orbit!" Both of them were sent into hysterics as they kept on joking about Dib's head. "And one time, after we fought each other in High School, he asked the nurse for an ice bag for a bump on his head. And without hestitation, I said, 'Ice bag? Don't you mean iceburg?'"
"S-Stop! No more! I'm gonna pee!" Luan wheezed out through her laughter.
"You know, maybe I should try the comedian circuit again. After all, I made the one and only Luan Loud laugh." Zim chuckled, earning a light shove from Luan that knocked him off the log, sending them both into more laughter.
"Hahaha...ah. Oops, sorry." Luan suddenly apologized.
"Forget it. It wasn't a hard push." Zim said, his chuckling dying down.
"No. Your...your eye." Luan said while pointing at the ground
"My eye?" he said in confusion before looking down to see one of his lenses had fallen off, revealing one of his ruby red eyes. "Oh, sorry." he said while closing that eye and picking up the lens.
"Why? I think it's beautiful." she said before realizing what she just said. "Uh, I mean, it's just, well..." Luan stuttered, unable to find anything to say.
"You think my eye is beautiful?" he asked with a sly smirk before reaching for his other eye. "Want to see the real me?"
"...A little." Luan admitted. Zim took off his other lens and wig, revealing both eyes and his antenna.
"Well, this is the real me." Zim announced. "What do you think?"
"I am...conflicted." Luan said after a moment as she looked at his eyes and antenna.
"What? The antenna creep you out?" Zim asked.
"A tiny bit, but it's far more cute than creepy." Luan answered before Zim made them wiggle. "Oh, they wiggle?"
"Indeed. Normally, we only wiggle them in respect to the Tallests, but I wanted to show you." Zim shrugged. "They also pick up vibratgalabfa!" Zim said before blabbering when Luan gently ran her finger over one of them. "S-Stop that!" he yelped as he backed his antenna out of range. "Please." he said in a pleading tone, his cheeks tinted red.
"Sorry. I couldn't resist." Luan apologized. "Are they sensitive?"
"Very." Zim answered. "It's like...if I suddenly reached over and grabbed one of your tits." he explained, making her blush.
*Ahem*
Both of them perked up and looked to see Gaz had returned, a pizza crust in her hand and a smile on her face.
"What was that about grabbing her tits?" she asked with a quirked eyebrow.
"Nothing happened or was going to happen!" Zim quickly said. "I was just telling her-" Zim continued before Gaz started to laugh.
"I've been hiding behind a tree since Luan shoved you off the log and saw everything past that point." Gaz said before she started eating her pizza crust. "And I'm a little bit upset." she mumbled through her food.
"Why? Because I pushed him?" Luan asked as Gaz swallowed her food and sent a small glare at Luan, making the funny Loud break out in a cold sweat.
"I said no funny stuff, didn't I?" Gaz reminded her as she walked over and towered over Luan, who was staring up at Gaz from where she was sitting on the log. "And despite that, you had the gall to touch Zim's antenna."
"Whoa, hold on! I didn't know! I'm no expert on...whatever his race is!" Luan countered.
"No excuses!" Gaz snapped, making Luan flinch. "Something like this demands retribution!"
Luan was paralyzed under Gaz's glare before Gaz pushed her finger into Luan's left breast, above her heart. The comedian was becoming terrified of what was to happen until Gaz pushed her backwards off the log with the same finger.
"All is forgiven." Gaz said, her demeanor becoming calm and a smile on her face.
"...What?" Luan asked, completely dumbfounded. Gaz merely started to laugh before she held a hand out to Luan, who gently took it before Gaz pulled her onto her feet.
"I got you good!" Gaz laughed.
"Wait, what's going on?" Zim asked. "You mean you're not mad at her?"
"Nah. I was messing with her." Gaz replied. "And besides, I got proper retribution. A shove for a shove and a touch for a touch." she said while wiggling her finger that she pushed into Luan's tit.
"Is this because of what he compared his antenna to?" Luan asked before chuckling. "You got me. I was afraid you were going to attack me."
"Nah. I knew it wasn't intentional. If it was, I'd have flattened all three of you." Gaz said with a smirk.
"Three?" Zim asked.
"Yeah. You, Luan and your friend clutching a stick behind that tree." Gaz answered while pointing her thumb at the tree. The other two looked and saw, to their surprise, Maggie peek out from behind cover, a stick being strangle in her hands.
"...Hi?" Maggie greeted with a nervous smile.
"Maggie?!" Luan exclaimed before running over and hugging her friend. "You're awake! Where have you been?"
"She's been behind there since before I left to get more food." Gaz answered. "Saw her peeking out of the corner of my eye during the conversation.
"If that's true, then why didn't you say anything? I could've introduced you to the others who were here earlier." Luan whined.
"I was...scared." Maggie admitted. "I didn't see you or Zim at the house and..." she trailed off. Luan gave a sad frown before it turned into a sympathetic smile.
"I see. You were scared that Zim might've been doing something to me and came looking for me." Luan said before eyeing the stick. "And that's for...?"
"I didn't grab this until I saw Gaz start getting angry at you." Maggie answered.
"Oh, so that stick was for me?" Gaz asked with a chuckle before raising her leg-
CRUNCH!
-and splintered one of the logs that was around the campfire, startling the other three.
"So, is it for me?" Gaz asked again.
"Stick?! What stick?! I don't have any stick!" Maggie quickly said after throwing the stick away. "See!? No stick!"
"Smart choice." Gaz said before picking Zim up into her arms. "Well, I'm all partied out. If you need us, Zim and I are going to be having fun with a new toy I got."
"Define 'fun' and 'new toy.'" Zim said with a wary look. Gaz's only response was to give a sultry giggle as she walked away-
"Wait a minute!"
-but stopped when Luan called out to them. Both of them looked back at her to see her gaze fixed on Zim. No one moved except Maggie, her head slowly swiveling between them. Finally, Luan sighed and walked over to the two of them.
"Yes?" Gaz asked. Luan leaned in and whispered something to her, make Gaz blink and look at the funny Loud. "You sure?" she asked, earning a nod from Luan. Gaz stared before smirking and holding Zim up to her. "Sure. I approve?"
"Approve of what?" Zim asked before Luan gently cupped his cheeks and kissed him, making his eyes shoot wide open. His eyes slowly fell close at the same speed that Maggie's jaw opened, his hands cupping Luan's face. They stayed that way for a few more seconds before separating, both blushing before Gaz pulled Zim back and walked away, leaving the two other women behind.
"Whu...Huh?...What...What just happened?" Maggie asked in a quiet voice as she stood next to a smiling Luan.
"Whatever it was, I definitely want more." Luan said with a giggle as she walked away, her walking going a little funny at times. Maggie just looked between both retreating parties before groaning.
"I have so much to wipe from my mind." she moaned before following Luan.
A half hour later at a hotel, Luan and Maggie were turning in for the night. The whole time that they were preparing to sleep, Luan never once lost the smile on her face.
"You keep smiling and your face is going to freeze that way." Maggie grumbled as she brushed her teeth.
"Hmm." Luan hummed as she brushed her hair.
"Come on. It was one kiss. It couldn't have been that good. You didn't even use your tongue." Maggie said before spitting out her toothpaste.
"I know. But that just makes me wonder." Luan answered.
"Wonder what?" Maggie asked as she gargled mouthwash.
"What will it be like with tongue...and maybe more." Luan giggled. Her smile finally fell when Maggie spat mouthwash all over the mirror and began to hack and cough.
"Did*cough*Did not need to*cough*hear that!" Maggie wheezed out.
"Sorry. I can't help it. I can't stop thinking about him." Luan said before exiting the bathroom in nothing but a yellow bra and panties. "His eyes were a deep shade of red. His cute little antenna. His soft lips."
"Ugh, stop it. I'm not much for that mushy stuff with regular people in the first place." Maggie gagged as she walked out of the bathroom after Luan in an oversized dark purple bra and panties.
"Don't hurt me! I'm unarmed!" Luan suddenly yelped in a playful tone while holding her hands up.
"What are you talking about? I'm not armed." Maggie said in confusion.
"Yes you are. You're pointing those weapons of mass distraction right at me!" Luan laughed, making Maggie huff in annoyance.
"Quit mentioning how big these are! And in case you've forgotten, you don't exactly have mosquito bites there!" Maggie snapped as she pointed at Luan's own large breasts.
"True, but yours were starting to grow long before you turned 13." Luan countered.
"Let's just get some sleep." Maggie said in defeat as she headed for the bed.
"Yeah." Luan agreed with a yawn before she laid down on the couch.
"Uhh...aren't you going to sleep in the bed?" Maggie asked.
"I would, but we'd probably end up the same as we did whenever we had a sleepover." Luan answered before sitting up and looking at Maggie. "You want to risk it?"
"...It's just for one night...Please?" Maggie begged. Luan sighed before getting off the couch. "Thanks." Maggie said with a grateful smile.
"Don't mention it. But be warned." Luan said as she gently lifted both of Maggie's breasts, making the older woman gasp at the feeling. "You can't blame me if either of us ends up using the other as a pillow later in the night."
"Deal." Maggie said before the two got under the covers to sleep. "Good night, Luan."
"Good night, Maggie." Luan yawned as she closed her eyes. She opened them a minute later and looked down at her friend snuggling against her body and resting her head between her breasts. "Couldn't resist, could you?"
"I just feel safer this way." Maggie mumbled. Luan rolled her eyes and smiled she hugged Maggie close, their warmth seeping into each other as Maggie's legs became tangled up with hers.
"Good night, Maggie." Luan repeated before they both closed their eyes and drifted off to sleep.
Preston was silent as his limo brought him to his home, a large and extravagant house. It was nowhere near as grand as his old mansion, but it was still a lovely place. He waited for a moment before grunting in dissatisfaction and opening the door for himself. He closed the door and began walking towards his home before the driver whistled at him.
"Yo, buddy! You forgetting something?" the driver asked. "I've been driving you around all week and you haven't paid yet! We're a rental service, not a charity!"
"My good man, you won't have to wait long for your payment. A day or two from now and I'll personally buy your business and pay you more than what you currently earn." Preston said with a smile.
"Yeah right. You ain't fooling anyone, Mr. Northwest. Your rental time ends tomorrow at midnight. Make sure you scrape enough cash together to pay soon, or else!" the driver threatened before driving off, leaving Preston to growl before composing himself and walking inside his home.
"Priscilla, I'm home." Preston announced. A moment later, a woman with disheveled hair and a panicked, yet hopeful, look on her face, quickly approached him.
"Preston! Oh thank God you're here! How'd it go? Did you convince her to come back?" she asked.
"Unfortunately, that child of ours is still rather stubborn. She refuses to even call us her parents." Preston sighed.
"Preston! We can't go on like this! We have to make this right before the reading tomorrow! If we don't-"
"I'm well aware of the consequences." Preston interrupted before picking up the phone and dialing a number.
"Are you calling Pacifica?" Priscilla asked.
"No." Preston answered as the other line rang a few times before someone picked up.
"Hello?"
"It's me. I couldn't convince her." Preston said before his eyes narrowed. "Are you sure you can help us?"
"Trust me. When this is all over, you'll all be a family again." said the voice.
"Good. You do this, and I'll make sure you're set for life." Preston promised.
"Oh, I know, Mr. Northwest. I know. See you then." the voice chuckled before hanging up. Preston hung up the phone before walking towards the window and gazing up at his old mansion.
"Soon, all will be as it should be."
A/N: I'm back. Here's an early Christmas Gift to you all. Merry Christmas!
