So this is an epilogue to 'To Give Love a Chance', my first multi-chapter fic. You guys don't need to read it to understand this but it's up to you. I certainly won't try to stop you if you do want to read. :D

-SPOILERS FOR 2 X 16- A fix-it fic of sorts for The Miller's Daughter where Emma was there to comfort Regina.

You should know if you're a Captain Swan shipper that our last discovery is the figurine of a pirate by Emma's crib in the pilot episode. And thus this little ficlet was born.

Feeling slightly lost and scared of what's to come in Storybrooke, Emma finds that her late night wanderings lead her directly to a certain pirate captain. Feeling compelled to let her guard down she boards his ship. And unsure what she's looking for, she finds herself no longer able to deny herself the chance to find out. This earns its M rating folks. Slight angst. Complete.

Ruby awakens in the middle of the woods after a cold and rainy wolf night to find herself sheltered under a blue umbrella and covered with a raincoat. Whoever left them for her has gone, but their scent hasn't. And it's a scent that, however different, she happens to know. And she knows exactly where it is going to lead her. [Frankenwolf]

No matter what happens to Regina she continues to push on - because unlike the rest she knows the price that comes with trying to attain happiness. *Spoilers for episode 'The Millers Daughter'.

Post 2x16, based on the 2x17 promo. Snow White turns up at Regina's doorstep and offers her death up on silver platter. It's almost too good an opportunity to pass up. Almost.

Rumplestiltskin does not like people stealing things from his home, but the poor man who was caught in the rainstorm last night may have a key that will change everything for the Dark One. It will be based on the original Beauty and the Beast story with several tie-ins from Once Upon a Time, and other fairy tales.

He didn't know that they would forget they were meant to hate each other when he went to check on her. He didn't mean to comfort her. He didn't mean to understand her. "Right now they were not the Evil Queen and Prince Charming. They were two broken, exhausted people desperate to find some sort of comfort in the world that had dealt them both so many harsh blows". When Hook and Cora arrive in Storybrooke, Emma Swan is mortified to realize that her misadventures are only beginning. Even worse, she has to trust her least (?) favorite untrustworthy, dashing, eyeliner-loving swashbuckler to survive evil witches, revenge on Rumplestiltskin, ruby slippers, round tables, flying monkeys, merry men, and more. Their legacy is just too hard to take.

Post-Miller's Daughter. After loss, Regina finds that loneliness is not a permanent state. Rather, she discovers comfort in the one person she doesn't want it from.

Feeling lost and alone after losing everything that ever mattered to her, Regina seeks solitude and breaks down. Emma, feeling the urge to go to her, finds the woman alone and in pieces. She will do her best show Regina that she's not alone anymore and that there is warmth to be found.

Spoilers up to 2X15. Emma doesn't like her options on what to do with an unconscious Hook. She knows that anything, short of death anyway, he would get out of eventually and wind up causing more trouble. So, she comes up with a crazy solution due to it being a crazy world.
