The Wind Blows

The rebellion has been defeated. All surviving members have fled thanks in part to the power that Asuka now possesses. Peace has been restored, but the Emperors remain vigilant in case a new threat should emerge...
(Usaka, early evening)
Mira watched the door with growing worry. "Akiru... I hope you and the others are safe..." As she finished her soft monologue, a portal opened before her, and she gasped in shock, taking note of Mizar walking through, his mask vanishing as the portal closed behind him. "Mizar! Akiru and Kotori are-!" He put a hand up to silence her. "It's all right, Mira. They're in Barian World at the capital city." Tilting her head in confusion, though relieved to know they were safe, she asked, "I thought you were going to wait to bring them there?"
The Emperor nodded as he explained, "I know that was the original plan, but the Rebels became aware of their existence. I no longer had a choice." Nodding, his wife asked, "Are either of them Barians now?" He nodded again. "Yes, Akiru has acheived his Barian form. Kotori has not, but once I'm sure it's safe, I'll return her to you. In all fairness, I had only planned to bring Akiru there, allowing his sister to live in blissful ignorance, but my hand was forced." Mira hugged him, and asked, "Can I see him? One last time?"
The Emperor softly sighed. "While I would be happy to allow it, I don't have the authority to. I'll have to discuss it with the rest of the Emperors. Nash's wife is present in Barian World, but I don't know if it's permanent or only temporary." His wife nodded in understanding, then her husband said, "However, I'm sure they'll be fairly understanding once I explain why." She nodded, and kissed him on the lips, grateful for the time she had gotten with their son. Taking her in his arms, he said, "I'll always love you, Mira. It always saddens me to have to leave you behind, but I could never risk your safety." His wife nodded in his arms, saying, "I know."
(Sanctuary, Barian Palace)
Kotori watched as her brother was in a meditative stance, the Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon card sitting on his lap as he did so. Looking at the card he'd given her, she softly sat down next to him, and waited for him to open his eyes. Within his mind, he found himself standing over a nebula, watching as his third Galaxy-Eyes dragon flew out of it and over to him, the dragon's red eyes focused on him. Keeping a calm mind, Akiru said, "You know why I'm here." The Galaxy-Eyes dragon nodded in response, saying, "It is my power that tells me all who come to see me."
Nodding, the Heir of Mizar asked, "So what's your name?" The dragon chuckled, "My name is Alhoon. You should know that my power does not come lightly." Akiru nodded. "No Galaxy-Eyes' power does. I have no intention of misusing any of their powers. I'm just willing to do what it takes to protect my sister." Alhoon nodded in understanding and said, "Then you may yet be worthy of our power after all." The dragon vanished, Akiru absorbing its essence as he awoke in the physical world again, taking note of his sister watching him. "Did you do it?" He nodded.
A guard came over and said, "Miss Kotori, it is very impolite to interrupt the Heir while he is bonding with his-." Akiru's eyes glowed as he said calmly, "She is not disturbing me." After a brief pause, the guard repeated, "She is not disturbing you, my lord." Continuing, the young man said, "You will resume your patrol." Nodding, the guard said, "I will resume my patrol." As the guard left, Kotori stared at her brother in shock. "How the heck did you do that?" He grinned under his mouth guard. Dumon approached the siblings and said, "I don't mean to interrupt, but Nash has asked that all the Heirs assemble in the main audience chamber."
The young man nodded and said, "I'll head there now." The Emperor nodded and faced Kotori. "You're more than welcome to watch, Kotori." She nodded. Once they arrived in the main audience chamber, and Akiru stood with the rest of the Heirs, Nash stood up from the high throne and said, "You've all gained the power of the Chaos Draw because of Asuka. That means you'll all be able to use Chaos Numbers against any opponents you encounter." All seven Heirs nodded in understanding, and the High Emperor continued, his fellow Emperors watching from their thrones, except for Mizar, who was not present, which did not escape Kotori's notice.
"While you each have the power to wield Chaos Numbers, it's best if you don't try to achieve them without your Sires being present, to ensure your safety. However, your Numbers Over One Hundred are no danger to you. You're free to use them as you see fit in Barian, but I would strongly advise against using them on Earth, unless you have no other choice." Letting that sink in, the High Emperor asked, "Are there any questions?" Homura politely raised her hand. Nodding to her, Nash waited. Clearing her throat, she asked, "Does this mean we'll have missions on Earth?" He nodded. "Yes, eventually. First, though, we must train you so you can blend in properly."
Shiki raised her hand next. "Is there anything we're not allowed to do on Earth, besides breaking any human laws of course?" The Emperors all chuckled in response, Nash answering, "My only condition apart from following any human laws is that you don't do anything to draw attention to yourselves. Just remember that you'll usually be there on a mission." She nodded. Finally, Akiru raised his hand, getting Nash's attention. "Will my sister be returned to my mother?" The High Emperor replied, "That is the plan, yes. Your father went to speak with her. He should be returning soon."
As he said that, a portal opened and Mizar stepped through, looking over the assembly. "Apologies for my late arrival. Mira has a request she wanted me to pass on." The Emperors all glanced amongst themselves before Nash spoke. "What would that request be?" The Dragon Emperor replied, "She wants to come see Akiru one last time." Thinking it over, the High Emperor decided, "On the conditon that she stays in the palace during her visit. I don't want to compromise her safety." Mizar nodded. "I'll inform her." Akiru was shocked by the request himself. "Mom's coming here?" His father gently put a hand on his son's shoulder. "As long as she stays in the palace, there shoudn't be a problem."
Having said that, the Emperor opened another portal and vanished, going to fetch his wife. In the meantime, Nash spoke up. "Akiru, stay with your sister until your mother arrives." The Heir of Mizar nodded. "Yes, your highness." Turning his attention to the rest of the Heirs, the High Emperor said, "The rest of you will join your Sires. It's time to begin your training." They all bowed in response. Each Heir left the room with their respective parent while Akiru stayed with his sister, who hugged him. "Please tell me this isn't goodbye." Her brother gently wrapped his arms around her and said, "I'll visit when I can, but I don't know how often that would be."
Hugging him even tighter, Kotori replied, "I don't want you to have to leave us, Akiru." He gently rubbed her, softly remarking, "Even with my smartass nature?" She lightly punched his arm in response. Chuckling to himself, Akiru quipped, "You know you can't hurt me, right?" She rolled her eyes. "Doesn't mean I won't try, dummy." Still maintaining his grin, he replied, "So much for a peaceful moment." His sister growled in response. A portal soon opened, and out stepped Mizar holding Mira in his arms, the mother taking note of her son's new form.
Lightly gasping, she said, "So this is your Barian form." Her son nodded, and said, "Yep." She then looked at his hair and asked, "How did your hair get so long?" He sighed and replied, "Jury's still out on that one." She laughed in response, and hugged her son. "You always find jokes in the world around you, don't you?" Akiru replied, "It's my nature, making fun out of a strange situation." His mother replied, "I've always known this day would come, but I didn't think it would be this soon." Gently hugging his mother, the young man replied, "I'll visit when I can. I promise."
A guard soon walked in, and said, "Lord Mizar, Lord Akiru, a strange individual is asking for you both at the city gate." Upon hearing that, Akiru sighed and said, "It better not be who I think it is." Facing his wife and daughter, Mizar said, "Stay in the palace. We'll be right back." Mira spoke up. "I can't see what Akiru's Number looks like?" Mizar replied, "It was Nash's decision that you remain in the palace, remember?" She softly sighed. Her husband then said, "However, you should be able to witness Akiru's training begin before you have to return to Earth." Kotori spoke up. "I'm coming, too."
Looking at his sister, Akiru said, "Kotori, no. This is going to be dangerous." The younger sibling replied, "I want to have a Duel alongside you before I have to go, Akiru. It would make for a good memory between us." Mizar and his son exchanged a glance, before the Emperor faced his daughter again, and said, "On one condition. You take this." He tossed a blank card to her, and she caught it. Looking at it, Kotori faced her father with a puzzled expression. He proceeded to explain. "It's possible that the dragon you befriended may come to your aid. For that reason, I want you to have that in your possession." She nodded.
The three soon stepped outside and walked to the gates. Once there, they stepped out, and took note of the individual before them, Akiru tilting his head in mild surprise. "Morris?" The former Rebel grinned upon being recognized. "It's an honor to be remembered, Lord Akiru." Raising an eyebrow, the young man replied, "You know the Rebellion is gone, right?" Morris nodded. "I am aware, my Lord. However, I do have some personal business with you and your father, namely, the Galaxy-Eyes dragons." The Heir of Mizar quickly replied, "You can't have them."
The former rebel then took note of Kotori. "Ah, yes, Lady Kotori. A shame you do not have a Barian form, but I do not judge you for that." She narrowed her eyes at him. "What do you judge me for, then?" He raised his hands and replied, "I meant no offense, my Lady." Akiru chimed in, "That's not how it came across." Morris nodded in understanding and said, "I concede your point, my Lord." Taking a side stance, the young man said, "If you leave now, you won't be pursued." Upon noticing his father's questioning expression, he added, "Well, I won't pursue you."
The former rebel chucked in reply, and said, "As gracious of an offer as that is, my Lord, I will not leave. For my personal honor, I must regain my Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon." Akiru replied, "Not a chance. He's mine now. I bonded with him earlier." Morris sighed and said, "Why do you always insist on doing this the hard way?" Without missing the beat, the young man replied, "Because it's fun." Kotori activated her Duel Disk, getting everyone's attention. Looking at his sister, Akiru asked, "Are you sure you want a piece of him?" His sister nodded, Duel Disk ready on her right arm, and said, "I'm ready to blow him away."
Her brother raised an eyebrow in response to her quip. "Blow him away?" The young girl replied, "You know, because wind?" Akiru deadpanned, "That's not how your deck works." She stuck her tongue out in response. Her brother formed his Duel Disk as Morris formed his, Mizar following shortly afterwards. The former rebel spoke up. "Let's make this a quicker match, shall we? Your side will have 8000 Life Points to share, and I will also have 8000. You will not be able to attack using your allies' monsters, but you can use them to Fusion, Synchro, or Xyz Summon. Additionally, you have acces to each other's Graveyards as if they were your own, and none of us can attack on the first turn."
Akiru replied, "That's fine with me. You're going to lose, either way." His father replied, "You have been honorable, so I will also accept those conditions." Kotori added, "Just don't expect me to go easy on you, buddy." Morris laughed in response. "I would have it no other way, my Lady." The four took their places while some people gathered on the city walls to watch.

The former rebel slapped his own forehead. "Oh, yes, I forgot to mention. Your side only gets one turn, then I get mine, then the next person goes on your side, then me, then the last person, me again, and it then repeats." Akiru replied, "Yes, I already knew that." Mizar nodded in response, saying, "The Emperors do keep track of things like that." Kotori tilted her head in confusion, but shrugged. Mizar gripped the top card of his deck, and drew his card. "My turn!" Looking over his options, the Emperor said, "I will start by activating the ability of Nebula Dragon in my hand! I can reveal it and another level 8 Dragon in my hand to you, such as Parsec, the Interstellar Dragon, and then Summon them both to the field in Defense Mode!"

The Emperor then explained, "Unfortunately, both of my Dragons will have their abilities negated." Morris simply raised an eyebrow. The Emperor ignored it and continued. "I now Overlay level 8 Nebula Dragon and Parsec, the Interstellar Dragon!" As the two monsters spiraled into the air as energy, a galaxy portal opened in front of Mizar, who said, "With these two monsters, I build the Overlay Network, and Xyz Summon my strongest ally, Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon!" From the exploding portal came a massive reverse pyramid with alternating red and blue glowing gems, which transformed into a mechanical dragon, its blood curdling roar echoing across the area.

Akiru watched as his father's Number roared in defiance at Morris, who laughed in response. "Such a fine Galaxy-Eyes." The Emperor replied, "You will never receive him. I will end my turn with one card Face-Down!" Drawing his card, the former rebel said, "First, since you control a monster, and I do not, I can Special Summon Hieratic Dragon of Tefnuit from my hand!"

With a grin, Morris continued. "I will also activate Double Summon, allowing me to Normal Summon an additional time this turn!" Akiru sighed to himself, and said, "He's not doing what I think he's doing, is he?" The former rebel called out, "I sacrifice my Hieratic Dragon of Tefnuit to Summon a second Tefnuit from my hand!"

Kotori tilted her head in confusion. "Why did he do that?" Morris quickly explained, "When Tefnuit is sacrificed for a Tribute Summon, I can Special Summon a level 8 Normal Dragon monster from my hand, Deck, or Graveyard! The only cost is, that monster's Attack and Defense Points will be reduced to zero! So come forth, Hieratic Seal of the Sun Dragon Overlord!"

Narrowing his eyes at the new monster, Akiru spoke up. "Let me guess. You have a way to do that again, right?" His opponent replied, "Astute as ever, Lord Akiru. I activate the Spell Card known as Card Advance! With it, I can now look at the top five cards of my Deck, then return them in any order!" After he did, he then said, "Furthermore, as Lord Akiru likely already knows, I can perform another Tribute Summon this turn!" Kotori lightly gasped. "Again?!" With a grin, Morris said, "I sacrifice my second Tefnuit to Summon a third!"

Fnishing, the dragon-loving former rebel called out, "I now activate the abiltiy of the Tefnuit I just sacrificed, Summoning a second Hieratic Seal of the Sun Dragon Overlord from my Deck!"

Noting the setup, Akiru said, "Here it comes." Morris called out, "I Overlay two level eight Hieratic Seals of the Sun Dragon Overlord!" As the two sphere-like dragons were enveloped in energy and spiraled upwards, a triple-ringed portal appeared before them all, and exploded as Morris finished, "With these two monsters, I build the Overlay Network and Xyz Summon Hieratic Sky Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis!" A massive dragon rose in flames above them, its gold and red scales glistening in the sun, its glowing red eyes focused on Tachyon as it let out a defiant roar, the Number Over One Hundred letting out a roar of fury in answer.

Akiru raised an eyebrow. "That's actually a pretty nice dragon." Mizar nodded in agreement. "May I ask how you came by it?" Their opponent replied, "It was a gift from Lucin, the leader of the rebellion, for years of excellent service." With a nervous chuckle, the young man quipped, "Considering how he lost to Asuka, it makes sense that you're a better Duelist than him." The former rebel replied, "I graciously accept your praise, my Lord, but my turn is not yet done. I activate the Spell Card Hieratic Seal of Creation!" Seeing that card made Akiru tilt his head. "I've never heard of that card before."
His opponent replied, "Then you shall be honored to face its power! With this Spell, I can use my Hieratic Sky Dragon to Summon another Hieratic Xyz monster, provided it has a different name. To that end, using Hieratic Sky Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis, I rebuild the Overlay Network! Draconic Xyz Transformation!" As the first dragon became energy and flew into a new triple-ringed portal, Morris said, "Come forth, Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Helipolis!" The new dragon soon manifested, its scales glistening a bright orange, its rage focused on its enemies as it let out a deep roar.

Akiru gently backed up a bit upon seeing the new dragon. "That card's ability makes it dangerous!" His opponent laughed. "I wouldn't worry about that quite yet, my Lord. In case you've forgotten, my hand is empty and I have no other monsters on my field, so using the ability now would leave me needlessly vulnerable. I end my turn!" THe Hieir of Mizar drew his card and made his decision. "I activate the Spell Card Photon Sanctuary! This will Summon two Photon Tokens to my field!"

Morris tilted his head upon seeing the Tokens. "What purpose do they serve, Lord Akiru?" The young man replied, "Because with them, I can Summon this! I sacrifice both Photon Tokens, each with 2000 Attack Points, to Special Summon one of my best friends!" The familiar pronged object appeared, and Akiru grasped it and threw it into the air, streams of light flowing into it. "I Summon the monster more savage than a supernova, with the combined might of ten black holes put together, a cosmic scourge that vaporizes everything in its path, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!" The familiar dragon formed around the pronged object, letting out a defiant roar at his prey.

Staring down the new dragon, the former rebel mused, "So, not all of the Galaxy-Eyes are Xyz Monsters. That's actually quite impressive." The new Galaxy-Eyes roared at him in response, his voice echoing in everyone's minds. "Do not dare question my place amongst my brethren." Akiru grinned under his mask. "I think you pissed him off, Morris." His opponent bowed at the dragon and said, "My most sincere apologies. I meant no offense." The Galaxy-Eyes simply growled in response. Continnuing his turn, Akiru said, "I know that no one can attack during the first turn of this type of Duel, so I'll end my turn with a Face-Down."
Drawing his own card, Morris said, "I activate the Spell Card Xyz Treasure! This will allow me to draw one card for each Xyz Monster currently on the field. Since there are two, I draw two cards!" After he did that, the former rebel said, "I now activate the Spell Xyz Favor. When activated, if I control an Xyz Monster, I can Summon two monsters with the same level from my Graveyard, such as two of the three Hieratic Dragons of Tefnuit from earlier!"

The young man narrowed his eyes. "He can Summon another Hieratic Xyz Monster." Morris replied, "Not quite yet. I activate my Sun Dragon Overlord's Special Ability! By using one Overlay Unit, and by sacrificing any number of monsters from my hand or field, I can destroy an equal number of cards! I send both Tefnuits to the Graveyard, to destroy both Galaxy-Eyes Dragons!" Akiru was quicker. "I activate the Trap Card Dimension Gate!" The former rebel tilted his head in confusion. "Oh?" The young man explained, "This Trap Card Banishes any monster I control! I'll Banish Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!"

As Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon was destroyed in flames, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon vanished into a portal, the Trap still active on Akiru's field. Morris, taking note of that, said, "I assume that if the Trap is ever destroyed, the monster that was Banished with it returns to the field, so I'll leave it on the field where it is. In the meantime, I have Sun Dragon Overlord attack you three directly!" Akiru's mouthguard retracted to reveal his grinning face. "Your mistake. I activate the other ability of Dimension Gate! When my opponent makes a direct attack, I can destroy the gate itself!"
As the portal began to shatter, Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon rose from the explosions, slowly turning its angry glare towards the Sun Dragon Overlord, and the former rebel, who cowered in fear. The young man spoke up again, "When Dimension Gate is destroyed by its own effect, I get the monster back." His mouth guard reformed. Morris sighed, and said, "I underestimated you, my Lord. I will not make that mistake again. Attacking a second time would be pointless, so I will move to my second Main Phase and activate another Xyz Favor, retrieving the two Tefnuits again.

Narrowing his eyes, Morris exclaimed, "The Galaxy-Eyes Dragons cry out for unification. They must have only one master!" Mizar replied, "One day, they will." Morris said, "I Overlay my two level 6 Hieratic Dragons of Tefnuit!" The two spiraled up in energy, and a triple ringed portal appeared before everyone again. "With these two monsters, I build the Overlay Network and Xyz Summon Hieratic Dragon King of Atum!" From the new portal rose a purple-scaled dragon with gold highlights, its roar echoing in the area.

Mizar grinned just then. "Thank you for that. I activate the Trap Card Dragon Emperor's Intrigue! When my opponent Summons a Dragon-type Xyz Monster to their field, I can have someone on our side Special Summon two monsters with the same level from their hand, like Kotori!" Grinning at the news, his daughter said, "Then I'll bring out Harpie Lady 1, and Harpie Lady 2!"

Morris narrowed his eyes. "May I ask how their Attack Points went up?" Kotori quickly explained. "Harpie Lady 1 gives all WIND monsters an extra 300 Attack Point boost." The former rebel nodded in understanding. "Impressive, but not enough to concern me." She replied, "You'll be concerned soon enough." Hearing his sister say that in that tone of voice got Akiru's attention. "Kotori...?" Their father was equally concerned. Morris replied, "I will end my turn." Drawing her card, Kotori said, "I Summon Harpie Lady 3!"

The young girl said, "A cold wind is coming, Morris, and you will feel its chill!" A voice spoke in her head. "My, it's taken far too long." Gripping her head, Kotori dropped to her knees, both her father and brother staring in shock, Akiru speaking up. "No way... She's getting one?!" The voice continued, "For years, you have allowed others to blow you over, never making your own stand. Now, it is your turn to use the wind as your weapon! Now, take flight, and embrace who you really are!" The wind began to blow around her, soon forming a small tornado that completely covered her.
As her brother and father watched on in concern, the wind soon dissipated to reveal Kotori's new form, similar to her father's, but green, her lime hair reaching down her back, to a coattail, her Duel Disk taking the form of a bird wing. Opening her eyes beneath her mask, the right eye turning red, she called out, "I Overlay level 4 Harpie Lady 1, Harpie Lady 2, and Harpie Lady 3!" As the three monsters spiraled upwards in green energy, Kotori continued, "With these three monsters, I build the Overlay Network, and unleash the whirlwind that will send you far away!"
A galaxy portal appeared in front of her, and she happily called out, "Spirit that soars over the skies of the world, let your wrath descend like fire on our enemies!" From the portal rose a massive smooth stone, and Kotori called out, "Take to the skies, Number 115: Mythical Dragon Griffin!" The stone shattered and reformed into a beautiful pale dragon with massive wings like an eagle, its roar echoing in the area around them, the number crest glowing in green on the right side of its neck.

Seeing this, Akiru could only say, "That's the dragon she was with when I got to the Dragon Sanctuary!" Mizar nodded. "To think it would take the form of a Number..." The former rebel stared in amazement. "So this is your hidden power..." The newborn Barian declared, "You're lucky I can't attack you this turn, but I can do this! I activate the Spell Card Misfortune! With it, I can choose one monster you control, and deal you damage equal to half of its Attack Points! I'm choosing your Sun Dragon Overlord, to hit you with 1500 big ones!" Morris grimaced as he took the damage.

The young man looked at his sister with an impressed look. "You used actual strategy for a change. Since you knew you couldn't attack anyway, you let the Spell do your work for you." Mizar spoke up. "It may have only been 1500 points, but it is still an excellent play." Kotori replied, "I still have more to come. I activate Meteor of Destruction! Since his Life Points are over 3000, he takes an extra 1000!" Her brother grinned. "Nice!" True to the newborn Barian's word, a meteor struck the former rebel and sent him flying.

Kotori called out to him, "Want some more?" Morris replied, "Perhaps another turn, assuming your Number survives." She could only grin in response, and put a card Face-Down in its slot. Drawing his own card, Morris said, "I will activate the Sun Dragon Overlord's Special Ability again!" The daughter of Mizar was ready. "I activate my own Trap in response, Fiendish Chain! Your Sun Dragon Overlord can't attack or use any abilities!" Morris sighed, and said, "Then I will end my turn with a Face-Down." The Dragon Emperor drew his card and said, "I activate the Spell Xyz Revenge, to bring back my Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon!"

Mizar quickly explained, "Xyz Revenge can only be activated while I have an Xyz Monster in my Graveyard, and my opponent controls at least one with at least one Overlay Unit. An Overlay Unit from any of my opponent's Xyz Monsters of my choice is then sent to Tachyon, giving me a much needed advantage." As the Overlay Unit was transferred from Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Helipolis, the Emperor said, "I will enter my Battle Phase, and as I do, I have Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon activate his Special Ability! By using one Overlay Unit, all other face-up monsters will have their abilities negated, and all Attack and Defense Points will be restored to their normal state!"
Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon reverted to its sealed form, before unleashing beams of light all over the field, his master declaring, "Tachyon Transmigration!" Mythical Dragon Griffin reverted to its stone sealed form while Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon and the two Hieratic Dragons were sealed in place. Mizar then said, "Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon, destroy Hieratic Sun Dragon Overlord of Heliopolis! Tachyon Spiral of Destruction!" The mechanical dragon unleashed a stream of energy that fired like a spiral, ripping through the Sun Dragon Overlord, Morris grunting as he played his Trap. "I activate the Trap Card Battle End! The Battle Phase ends immediately!"
Mizar sighed to himself. "That effectively wasted the Overlay Unit. Tachyon's second effect, which activates when my opponent uses a card effect of their own, gives him 1000 more Attack Points and an extra Attack during this turn." The former rebel chuckled, Mizar saying, "I end my turn." Drawing his own card, Morris said, "I will simply end my turn. You cannot possibly eliminate me this turn, Lord Akiru." The son of Mizar replied, "Watch me." Drawing his card, he said, "It's time to show you the real power of a Galaxy-Eyes Master!" Etoirir spoke in his mind. "My full power can now be unleashed!" The young man replied with a grin, "I plan to."
Looking over his cards, he said, "I activate the ability of my own Nebula Dragon in my hand, revealing him and my Rabidragon, and Summoning them both in Defense Mode!"

Akiru called out, "I Overlay my level 8 Nebula Dragon, Rabidragon, and Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!" Mizar grinned under his mask when he saw this, while his daughter watched her brother in confusion. The three monsters spiraled into different directions while a massive wormhole-like portal opened above the field, the three monsters sailing into it as Akiru said, "With these three monsters, I build the Overlay Network!" Gripping a massive spear-like object and throwing it up into the portal, he announced, "Prepare to witness the mightiest of monsters! With the Summoning of this beast, the battle is over!"
From the exploding portal fell a massive flaming object, which began to reveal itself as a dark-scaled dragon with bioluminescent red wings, red claws, and, horns around its three heads, white eyes like galaxies being revealed one by one, letting out a blood-curdling roar as Akiru called out, "I Xyz Summon Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon!"

Morris stared in complete shock, finally saying, "I had no idea that the Galaxy-Eyes Dragons had such power..." Kotori remarked, "That's amazing..." The Emperor spoke up. "Well done, Akiru. Summoning a Neo Galaxy-Eyes is no small feat." His son turned his gaze on Morris and said, "Time to end this! When Neo Galaxy-Eyes is Summoned using the original Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon as an Overlay Unit, the abilties of all other monsters on the field are negated! Go, Photon Howling!" The evolved dragon let out a deep roar that froze everything around him, Akiru adding, "Now I'll make use of his main ability! Once per turn, I can use up one Overlay Unit to force all of your monsters to give up theirs!"

From Morris's Graveyard came two streams of light that Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon absorbed. As the former rebel stared in confusion, the young man explained. "All of the Overlay Units that are lost get absorbed by Neo Galaxy-Eyes, giving him 500 Attack Points for each one! Plus, he can make that many attacks this turn!"

Morris's eyes widened upon hearing that. "Two attacks with 5500 Attack points?!" Akiru grinned as he called out, "King of Atum, take off that crown! There's a new dragon king in town! Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon, rip King of Atum apart!" The evolved dragon gripped his prey, and bit with his powerful jaws on all three heads, annihilating his enemy. Continuing, the first Heir of Mizar declared, "Now, take aim, and attack Morris directly! Ultimate Photon Stream of Destruction!" The dragon gathered energy in each of hsi mouths, and unleashed it, the full force sending Morris flying into the distance, the area feeling the shockwave of the blast.

Mizar brought his son and daughter into his arms and told them, "You both Dueled well today." Kotori spoke up. "I wish I could have gotten to use Griffin's abilities..." Her father nodded. "I know. Your time will come." The three went back into the city and back to the palace, to explain to Mira what had happened.
