December 20 2034, The final battle of the "Magical girl war."
Before the Pandora tower landed on the Incubator home world there was the battle for Incubaa. The incubator homeworld had become a heavily defended fortress after a over decade of intergalactic war between the combined forces of sentient emotional life and fluffy lovecraftian hordes hijacked by demons of human origin. Shit gets weird when you let Gen Urobochi write an anime series.
In the fields of battle a black demon was tearing the allied forces apart by herself. Homura Akemi, leader of the incubators was a fallen magical girl whom at the time had achieved her final battle body. Her head was a mix between an demonic skull, a bouquet of red spider lilies, and stringy disheveled black hair that dragged into the ground. In her current form she was merely a winged skeleton with a skimpy tattered black dress pouring out cursed purple energy everywhere.
Screaming out "Owawaru akumu da! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!" Before tearing off a grown mans face clean off and blowing up his body. Then going to town on a platoon of space marines. Surgically dismembering the forty strong force limb from limb single handedly in a hail of gunfire and explosives. And when one tried to fight her with a chainsword. Homura merely took the knife chest on, absorbed the knife and the man's hands, and spat it out into the soldiers face, with such force that it ripped clean thru his skull and severed his head in half. Leading to a geyser of blood.
Witnessing the destruction two magical girls one red, one blue, leading another platoon. Order their forces to stand back as they prepare for battle. Armed with a spear and cutlass each respectively and wielding armored suits they withdraw their helmets revealing that the red one is a redhead with a long ponytail and the blue one in a bluenette with a boyish shortcrop.
"Damn Calamity!" The bluenette complained after watching that show of savagery. "Let's go Kyoko!"
The redhead, Kyoko tried to stop the bluenette to no avail. "Wait Sayaka!"
Sayaka brought out another cutlass and spread out her white cape with whom with one swift movement was used as a conduit to launch hundreds of exploding swords at Homura which tore her to pieces but she merely regenerated in mere moments. And countered by transforming her arms into a comically large amount of guns and rockets which she fired at Sayaka lighting up the entire sky and shooting down a 30 foot long cruiser in the crossfire in the distance. Causing it to explode in midair.
Sayaka manages to avoid destruction via flash step and slashes Homura's left wing off managing to stagger her and put her on the defensive. Sayaka then puts on the pressure screaming like a banshee in rage.
"Die monster! You don't belong in this world!" Sayaka screams as she hacks away at Homura's shields made of reinforced bone. While Kyoko struggles to catch up to the duo.
Homura merely cackled at Sayaka's rage responding with. "It was not by my hand that I am once again given flesh. I was called here by humans who wish to pay me tribute."
"Tribute?! You steal men souls and make them your slaves!" Sayaka retorted as the two split apart and clashed again.
"Perhaps the same could be said of all religions..." Homura bit back as the two went back and forth.
"Your words are as empty as your soul! Mankind ill needs a savior such as you!" Sayaka screams as she tries to go for a killing strike only to strike an illusion of Homura.
"What is a man?" Homura asks as she blasts Sayaka into the ground. "A miserable little pile of secrets. But enough talk... Have at you!" As she goes in for a punch to the stomach. Only for Sayaka to counter via a kick to the nether regions causing the skeletal demon to fall over in pain as well. As the two begin to fight on the ground itself tackling and punching each other in the mud and blood.
"Bitch, you hurt Madoka!" Sayaka yelled as she tried to choke out Homura. After a minute of choking her with seemingly inhuman strength it seems that she finally succeeded in snapping her neck with a gruesome crack as her body became totally limp. "And this time don't come back! Transfer student!" The bluenette uttered with seemingly decades of sheer vitriol behind it.
Only for something to pierce Sayaka in the stomach. The bluenette quickly realizing that she's been had tries to let go but can't as she is eviscerated and disemboweled and fused with a ballistic missile that comes out of Homura's corpse as it transforms into a missile truck with Homura standing on top of it. With Sayaka showing a clear "I'm dead and I know it" face through the proceedings.
With Homura smiling and retorting. "And this time don't come back... Idiot..." As she launches the Sayaka/missile hybrid into the sky causing her to explode in midair much to Kyoko's horror whom finally caught up.
"SAYAKAAAAAAAA!" The redhead screamed as she fell on her knees in tears and horror. All the while Homura jumped down and faced down Kyoko with a predatory gaze.
Chapter 3: Clever fox and Giant egg
Second history 8932. It's been thousands of years since the discovery of magic as an energy source and the resulting magical girl war forced humanity to abandon earth and go into space. Earth has become little more than a historical footnote. And humanity has founded numerous colony worlds based of nations of old. In order to manage this new energy source that made the impossible possible. Alongside other alien races the Internal Fleet Systems or IFS was formed a military alliance designed to manage and protect its members from attacks from hostile powers and the abuse of magic.
The Eggman Empire was created after the end of the great war. A great conflict between anim and humans in Mobius. Founded by Ivo Robotnik it has become a consistent threat to the peace and stability of Mobius ever since. And its people under its constant threat. In response the governments of Mobius have set up counters to said empire. Most successfully the Resistance an irregular service branch from the Acorn Archipelago which has maintained a rivalry with the Empire during its tenure.
It's been 5 years since the conflict has started. And so far it is in an absolute stalemate. With the fact of a seemingly endless conflict now just a fact of life for the people of Mobius.
Jun 18 s.h. 8932, Acorn Skypatrol
The Skypatrol. A giant airship designed to counter Eggman's fleets. A massive flying bumper with wings in design and thrusters. It is designed to travel all around Mobius at great speeds. Inside the ship, Sonic is unconscious in a private hospital bed being looked after by a young yellow orange two tailed fox with blue eyes.

"Seriously Sonic you're always doing this kind of crazy shit." Tails mutters at an unconscious hedgehog who only then wakes up.
"Well someone's gotta do it. Still I guess this time luck wasn't on my side." Sonic commented as he looked genuinely upset.
"What happened?" Tails simply asked as Sonic gave him a breakdown of yesterdays events much to Tails horror. "I see... So Porker..."
Sonic continues to look down at the bedsheets as Tails tries to cheer him up.
"You know Sonic. You've only been doing this for five years. I mean i've been a genius all my life and I can't exactly get a doctorate without passing the university tests."
"Even heroes can't escape the bureaucracy huh?" Sonic jokes to his friend.
"Sadly that is the case even in war." Tails retorts with a smile in his face.
"Anyways what about the girl?" Sonic asked.
"She's here too. She's been worried about you by the way." Tails comments.
Sonic and Tails head to where Madoka is being held. Crossing the hallways of the Skypatrol to do so. A sleek and minimalist interior. It's crewed by Acorn guards who are dark green suited anims with face concealing helmets armed with spears who salute the duo whenever they pass thru as a show of respect. As the hedgehog and fox enter a massive cargo elevator they continue their conversation.
"By the way Sonic who was the one who reported the situation in Junglaria?" Tails asked to Sonic whom just looked confused at it all while Tails explained. "Apparently an anonymous tipster told us what you were doing. That's why we were able to save you."
Sonic thought to himself. "It couldn't be that Kagemusha followed him to the pyramid. Could he?"
"Kagemusha?" Tails asked.
"Yeah this creepy Kylo Ren looking guy that claimed to know Uncle Chuck."
Tails muses what is going on. As the elevator opened to the top floor where the lounge was located and alongside Madoka. A pink hedgehog girl in a red dress with a large hammer. And a young rabbit girl with lop ears and orange dress. They are Amy Rose and Cream the Rabbit respectively. All three enjoying a large plate of sweets especially Madoka. Behind the plate there is a fourth member Cheese the chao which is a tiny blue fairy-like creature with a red bow tie. Which is chowing down on a croissant. He is like a pet or companion to Cream. Just as sentient as a human child but also serving as a summon beast in all but name. Madoka herself had a change in wardrobe now wearing a pink one piece dress with long gloves and boots and her red bracelet being visible and her hair is tied in a ponytail. Probably clothes borrowed from Amy or something.

Amy after noticing Sonic runs over to tackle him and then berates him for acting recklessly and while Madoka shows concern for Sonic. Cream essentially tells the newbie not to worry about it. And that this is business as usual.
"That's right Madoka! Sonic and I are destined to be married after all!" Amy boasts in front of everyone as Sonic freaks out.
All the while Madoka bitterly smiles inward quietly stating. "How nice..." As if trying to recall something. Something that both Cream and Tails pick up on quickly.
"Anyways I see you've made friends with Amy and Cream." Sonic told Madoka.
"Yep! They're nice people. They feel kinda familiar too." Madoka replied.
Amy commented. "So the poor girl also has amnesia huh?" In a worried tone which Sonic also took notice. "Well don't worry she can stay here with us until she gets back on her feet."
"Yes!" Cream also added agreeing with Amy's statement. "It's always nice to have new friends."
"Still i'm worried about Metal Sonic." Sonic noted. "If Metal rescued that Hime girl that means Eggman isn't far behind.
That observation made everyone weary. With Madoka asking who this Eggman person is. Tails noted that yeah Madoka deserves an explanation as the group began telling the newbie of their situation.
Meanwhile in the Egg citadel
A giant metallic city and factory in the middle of the barren desert. The egg citadel is one of the Eggman Empire's many front line bases all around Mobius. And where Eggman is currently hiding out. In the center of the citadel there is a giant tower with Eggman's face emblazoned on it that leads to a giant space elevator the Egg tower. It is a completely mechanical city where robotic slaves work in factories 24/7 polluting the landscape and exploiting local resources to fuel Eggman's war machine. The skies are heavily polluted and full of a thick carpet of smog and dust. Also living there is the Egg army. Citizens whom have willingly indoctrinated themselves to Eggman and wear visible cybernetics as a sign of their loyalty. Of course these cybernetics possess control mechanisms such as explosives to keep the populace in line. A stopgap measure needed after the failure of the robotizicer.
Inside the Egg tower Hime was led by Metal Sonic to the leader of the empire himself. Dr Eggman, a tall obese human in an ornate red and black jumpsuit with white and gold accents. Bald and with a large mustache, prince-nez sunglasses and goggles covering his head. He was an imposing figure that somehow was as much of a physical powerhouse as he was a mental one. And while prone to fits of childishness and anger. He was the unquestioned great leader for a reason.

"So you're the alien." Eggman stated as he sat in a chair looking above Metal Sonic and Hime. "Honestly I expected more. Still I suppose you did a good job for your first encounter with Sonic."
Hime smiled at Eggman and replied. "Why don't you come down here and say that." Only to get a hand spike to the neck courtesy of Metal. "Someone has a shitty sense of humor..."
"And someone is gonna be just plain wrecked shit period. If they don't watch their smarmy little mouths." Metal Sonic coldly replied to their esteemed guest.
Eggman stands up and walks down towards Hime and Metal Sonic with a smirk on his face. "Well I just wanted to talk to you for a bit. About how we could help each other deal with a certain blue bother."
Hime remarked. "How can you help out tubby?"
Metal once again physically threatened Hime but also commented. "Still the girl has a point. You did create Rexxon."
The scene shifts to a giggling pink robotic plesiousaur in a pool of lava that just stands there day and night.
The scene cuts back to Eggman who angrily bites back with. "So?! Not all badniks can be winners!" Eggman then shows footage of Hime's earlier tantrum against Kuro much to the former's shock and essentially lays down the rules. "Basically if you don't want your boss to find out about this little freak out. You're going to be working as my double agent. Got it?"
"Ooh real sneaky Ivo. I didn't know you had it in you." A mysterious voice snarks as the screens are replaced by the insignia's of a stylized bird's head with a pair of gears serving as wings. "Oh I guess I should call you Eggman now shouldn't I?" The voice continued as the screens revealed the masked face of Kagemusha. Shocking Eggman, confusing Metal, and angering Hime. "Oh hi Madoka."
"This is impossible." Eggman remarked. "I saw you explode myself alongside the roboticizer."
"Well what can I say Eggy. I'm like COVID-19. You can't get rid of me. Society doesn't have the balls to do so." Kagemusha snarks at the trio before leading with a question. "By the way Eggy. What happens when a terrorist hijacks another terrorists weapons and unleashes upon the world?"
Eggman remains silent while Hime and Metal are just staring at each other in disbelief at the situation. Until Eggman finally speaks up. "Don't be ridiculous. My security is flawless."
"Well I don't know either. But we'll find out in the next five minutes." Kagemusha remarks as the egg citadel is struck by sudden tremors and reports that the defense systems have been hijacked all over the city. The badnik horde has rebelled and is attacking the Egg army and the Death egg robo's stored in the Egg tower are being launched in auto pilot and beginning to rampage all around the city.

Eggman furiously heads to his chair to try to try and regain control of his city while ordering Metal Sonic and Hime to counter the Death Egg robo's. Giant waltzer like mechs in Eggman's image originally designed as his personal mech but recently mass produced in an attempt to take over Mobius. And meant as personal attack craft for the Egg bosses. The leadership of the Egg army. Eggman also orders his minions to trace the hacks source in order to ready a counterattack.
Metal Sonic ended up dragging Hime towards the battlefield as tens of giant robots are smashing buildings and factories. While Buzz bombers, Balkyrins, Motobugs, Egg pawns, Slicers, Grounders, and Bladers have gone berserk and are attacking and killing anything they can get their hands on. Metal blasts the badniks saving a group of straggling soldiers and allowing them to escape before going ahead to the main targets. With Hime being surprised that Metal would actually save anyone.
Metal drops Hime after that remark causing her to actually be scared before being rescued at the last minute. Before being let off with a warning by the robotic doppelganger. "We look after each other. Doesn't matter if we hate each others guts. You take care of the crew, the crew takes care of you. The minute you betray that, the whole thing falls apart." The duo land in a tall building overlooking the carnage where Metal essentially asks. "Hime give me your hand."
Hime comments. "Do you have the hots for me?"
To which an angry Metal Sonic just forcefully grabs Hime's skeletal hand and holds it if for a few moments. After which a buzzing sound is heard and Metal's hand morphs into a copy of Hime's claw hand. Giant size and all.
"How much did you and Eggy spy on anyways?" Hime asks as Metal let's go and locks on at one of the Egg robo's only to disappear and reappear next to it. Before rending it to pieces in the blink of an eye.
The other robots notice and turn on Metal Sonic firing their beam rifles which Metal easily dodges as he goes in for close combat. Shredding apart mechs one by one. Even when the Death egg robo's go on tactical formations they simply cannot hit the blue doppelganger as he is to small, fast, and nimble. Avoiding their strikes and hitting back with incredible ease and shrugging off the occasional lucky blow that they would land. The final one would go into close combat trying to punch and kick Metal. But he dodges all of the giants blows and takes out his right leg in retaliation. Completely outmatched the Death egg robo retreats and while it seemed that Metal would let him go. He simply switched to V. Maximum overdrive. A boost of speed so massive that the glows red hot and plows straight thru the giant mech like a hot knife thru butter. Causing so much heat that the Death egg robo melts from the inside and explodes while Metal is forced to cool down.
Even Hime couldn't help but be impressed by Metal Sonic's showing of power. Remarking to herself that maybe this alliance could work out after all.
Meanwhile Eggman manages to regain control of the badnik hordes. And learns of the location of the hack. "So the hack started in Gimme Shelter. Good. Once we have everything back under control. I will personally deal with this ghost."
Unbeknownst to Eggman. Kagemusha was still in the forbidden tower hacking Eggman's systems from there. And listening to the entire conversation as well. "Good job Eggy. Now come to Gimme Shelter. Where I have a surprise for you."
Inside Gimme Shelter
In the dark corridors of Gimme Shelter the silhouette of a tall, bulky, gray robot patrol the area. He takes aim at several targets and fires from his shoulder mounter energy launchers energy blasts that obliterate them. When he hears a message.
"Gamma! A special visitor will be coming soon. Make sure to give him a warm welcome."
"Yes sir..." The robot replies as his green circular optics glow and his clawed hands are clenched tight.
And in space a giant mechanical whale with large wings crosses the moon to head to Mobius orbit.

And that's the end of chapter 3. If you've watched Magical Canaan. An old magical girl show that is very UNLIKE Madoka Magica you will find that using it's op as a theme song is weird. Well it's musical foreshadowing. The Madoka in this series is different from the Madoka in the anime and the more optimistic music and lyrics reflect it.
Fun fact: Metal Sonic was inspired by the Ruby Spears Megaman cartoon's portrayal of Protoman. In that he's definitely the dragon and the strongest fighter. He also talks and has an attitude here. Since before Cubot and Orbot were created in Sonic Colors. Metal Sonic was meant to be Eggman's dragon alongside Egg Robo and they would essentially be a more competent take on Scratch and Grounder. Metal's fight was inspired by Proto's in Episode 1 of Megaman.
