December 19 2034, Before the final battle of the "Magical girl war."
The day before the final battle, preparations were being made within the fleet that was going to invade the incubator homeworld. Inside one of the crafts a giant armored mechanical whale known as the Mikazuki. The largest of the four Regalia. A crimson hulled ship with a multiple launch bays of varying sizes. Unlike the other Regalia the Mikazuki was a dedicated carrier, meant to carry both troops and armor across the stars.
Inside the Mikazuki's living quarters there was great tension in the air. A young lady of upper class with long silver hair and a white dress was banging at a locked door at the end of a hallway. This woman Oriko Mikumi was trying to get the rooms occupant to come out. With little success so far. The rooms occupant being the goddess of magical girls herself Madoka Kaname (Not to be confused for the Madoka of the main story. This one is a God, god and much more mature in appearance, outlook, and personality. And currently suffering from an angst coma straight out of Evangelion.)
"Get in the goddamn robot Shinji!"
"NO!"
And that's how the conversation between Oriko and Madoka went for the past hour and a half.
Meanwhile members of the ship crew were watching the insanity play out as two prominent members paid attention. A young lady with long navy blue hair a captains uniform and her compatriot a younger girl with pink hair who is shy and noticeably wore a hood.
"Is Oriko still going at it?" The blue haired captain asked one of the crew men watching the situation. Keeping a calm and graceful air through it all.
"Oh yes Captain Yachiyo, Miss Iroha. Lady Oriko really can be stubborn if needed." The elven crewman commented. "Hey you two wanna join in on the betting pool?"
Iroha pulled down her hood and looked at the situation intensely to the surprise of the rest of the crew. Giving pause to what once was a joking atmosphere before deciding to dive into the situation.
The disappointed elf crew mate could only complain. "There goes 30 quid." To which Yachiyo looks at the elf with displeasure.
Iroha simply walks up to the room where Madoka locked herself up and used her ID to open the door. Entering the room with an understanding look alongside Oriko and begins to speak to her in a gentle and supportive manner. "You know Kaname-san if there's anything wrong you can just talk to us. We are your friends after all. We just want to help you with whatever rough patch your going thru okay?"
After a few moments of silence Madoka suddenly speaks out. "I don't need pity from you! You're at the top of my shit list protag-kun!"
Iroha pretty much snaps after hearing that with her voice dropping an octave or two as well to match. "Ohhh, okay! No! I was trying to be nice ya fuckin SHINJI! Go fuck yourself!" To the shock of everyone around them.
Madoka then continued her rant. "How would you feel if you had to fight your best friend for control of the universe? I only wanted to be with Homura-chan but something always goes wrong! It's like I was born cursed or something!"
Iroha states. "Okay if you said that instead. You would have been more sympathetic. Instead of coming of like a punk ass bitch." Madoka just stares at Iroha like if she was some rotting fish.
To which Oriko ends up stepping in and remarking. "Yeah this war is getting to everyone. But like it or not you're the only one who can stop the Calamity. And like it or not that's what Akemi-san is now. A Calamity. If there was ever any good inside her it is long dead. Hell if there is any reason inside her it is long dead. She is now nothing more than a natural disaster. Like a hurricane or an earthquake. And if anyone can stop her it's you Kaname.
Madoka started to cry after hearing such harsh words from Oriko. Oriko meanwhile simply sighed and commented. "Must be that time of the month I guess." Offering little sympathy to the goddess as she leaves the room. While Iroha freaks out over trying to calm Madoka down.
Chapter 7: Traitor killer
The mahou driver system. Originally an attempt to replace body parts with virtual replicas composed of digital material. This digital material was meant to prevent rejection and serve as a way to rapidly standardize medical equipment. But its ability to enhance body and mind soon found a new purpose on the battlefield. It is now the year Second history 8932, The so called singularity has long become a thing of legend and myth. And a new civilization has risen from the ashes of the old.
While the Resistance battled the Calamitous ones and discovered the powers of the Arc. Dr. Eggman was off committing his own agenda. Angered and humiliated after the attack on the Egg citadel, he heads to Night Babylon where Gimme Shelter is hidden to seek vengeance on the one responsible for such a brazen move.
Jun 19 s.h. 8932, Night Babylon
Night Babylon, a hive of scum and villainy underneath the influence of the eternal twilight of the purple Pandora's tower a giant skeletal structure located in Ordoska a northern land known for its cold and mountainous regions. Among them Mt. Mobius the tallest mountain in the world. The tower itself seems to be in a state of decay with ice and bone constructs being fused into it yet somehow it still maintains its functions. To the point where its known as the ghost tower as it just functions on its own not even requiring the typical fleet of precursor drones to maintain its functions and protect it like the other towers would.
Night Babylon itself is a relatively small city in perpetual nighttime full of buildings and neon lighting. A place for gambling, entertainment, and other illicit dealings in the middle of the cold north. Kept warm and powered by the geothermal vents underground. And now its being overrun by a platoon of Dr. Eggman's minions. The Egg Buffalo crew led by Axel the Water Buffalo a large muscular anim wearing a purple version of Eggman's suit with chains wrapped around his gauntlets. With his direct subordinates Diesel, a brown bear with a buzz cut and a short fat physique. And Shenzi the hyena a female anim with a wild spiky hairdo and lots of piercings in her face, ears, and mouth and a thin figure to compliment Axel's big and Diesel's short. The trio riding into the city in motorcycles alongside their band of thirty minions in tow also in motorbikes and ATV's shooting up the place, making a racket.
"Alright crew!" Axel bellowed, immediately calming down his boisterous underlings. "We came here for a simple reason. To wreck the face of the wise guy who messed with Dr. Eggman! We may not like the man or what he stands for. But he's part of our crew. And if anyone messes with our crew then they mess with us! That is how we survived in the plains of Efrika and that is how we survive in the Egg army! So let's show this Hacker punk what happens when you mess with Efrika's top dogs!" Axel is suddenly cheered on by his underlings as they all arrive in a conspicuous Eggman faced dome in the middle of downtown.
"I can't believe Eggman just had a base hidden here!" Shenzi commented noticing that Gimme shelter is stationed right between a police station and a bakery.
"Yeah, but at least the property values are a steal!" Diesel joked as he joined in the conversation.
"This town is run by the mafia. And they'll let anyone that can pay build in their town." Axel remarks.
"Should we have brought badniks?" Diesel worriedly remarks.
To which Shenzi laughs and mockingly states. "What's the matter scared? We're more than enough. Also Metal Sonic is backing us up and he's as good as a million badniks."
Patrolling above the seedy mess of a city was Sonic's mechanical doppelganger. Keeping an eye on the situation from the skies above. Silently observing around the perimeter of the city ready to pounce at a moments notice while the Egg Buffalo crew entered Gimme Shelter's main hangar doors. All the while the local citizens were just hiding and keeping their heads down. All too aware that shit was gonna go down. All except one. One particular bat girl in a spy suit who looked on at the situation with keen interest.
"Well something interesting is going down." The bat girl thinks to herself. Her icy blue eyes focusing on the scene at hand.
Gimme Shelter
Inside Gimme Shelter little had changed since its days as an Eggman base. Originally it was the base where Eggman worked on Gemerl before he was modified into his current form and built the later E-100 series of robots after the Egg carrier was destroyed. It is a standard underground factory with all the belt and whistles. A massive supercomputer, full assembly and production lines, areas for research and development, and living quarters for the Egg army. It would make sense that someone would take it over instead of destroying it like the Resistance usually does. At least that's what Axel's logic was when he saw the facility seemingly full operational and producing robot parts.
"Whomever this terrorist is. They ain't Resistance." Diesel also remarked. "Otherwise they would have junked the place. Never could understand why they do that."
Because they're hippie anarchists Diesel." Shenzi replied. Before breaking out into laughter typical of a hyena.
Diesel simply responded with. "You sound like Maw right now." Before an explosion caught the exploring party off guard and off their feet.
After the crew falls into the ground they are quickly surrounded by a army of tiny super deformed robots that jumped them from the railings from the roof. Olive green in coloring with one triangular large eye, a Zaku like design, and carrying pump action beam rifles.

Axel gets up more annoyed at the explosion and ambush than anything. "So a trap..." And launches the chains in his gauntlets at the nearest zaku robot with killing intent only for said robot to catch it with said their bare hands and speak. In a refined British gentleman's voice no less.
"How primitive..." The robot that caught the chain remarked at Axel before shooting back at the water buffalo with an arm mounted blaster.
Diesel and Shenzi are freaking out about the fact that their leader has been shot thru the heart. With Diesel asking if they brought guns and Shenzi stating that they brought Ed. Which was good enough for Diesel. And all of of a sudden a crazed hyena leaps out of the crowd and attacks the robots with wild abandon like a berserker on crack. With wild bulging eyes and a crazed laughter Ed started off strong plowing thru the robots in close combat. Capable of shattering their composite armor in a single blow while drooling like a maniac before getting cheapshotted in the back by another enemy. And then shot multiple times by the robotic hordes who then proceeded to unload on the Egg army who was forced to scatter or be gunned down.
After minutes of gunfire the gentlemanly robot ordered his fellows to stop firing and said. "Sumeragi troops. Spread out..." The tiny robot horde begins to give chase to Eggman's forces stepping over the corpses of the dead along the way. With Ed's corpse being cut apart and his body parts being carried off and defiled by vengeful machine soldiers.
Diesel and Shenzi end up separated from everyone else in the maze like catacombs of the shelter alongside several of their surviving men. "Should we call Metal for backup?" Diesel asks around.
To which Shenzi states. "Problem, our communications are being jammed."
"Slag! This whole thing was a trap!" Diesel realizes.
"I just hope Axel is alright." Shenzi comments while giving a bitter laugh. As Gimme shelter's intercom activated and began playing creepy music before giving out an odd transmission.
"Tatsuya you damn traitor! Why did you do it?! Why did you side with the Calamity?!" Kagemusha's voice rang out thru the intercom followed by a woman's
"It was all for onee-sama's sake. This war changed her. I'm only doing this to protect her. The Calamity Homun understands that as well. So she gave me the power to protect her."
"How foolish..."
The woman now furious replied with. "Is it foolish to love someone?!"
Kagemusha simply and bluntly replied with a yes. And then the recording stopped leaving the crew who heard it confused.
"The Calamity Homun?" Shenzi wondered aloud confused. "Isn't that nonsense what ma great grand mama talked about after one too many bottles of rum?"
Suddenly Diesel and Shenzi find themselves alone with all their subordinates dead and in various states of brutal dismembering. Diesel and Shenzi both are terrified at their situation with Diesel comparing it to a horror movie. "You know Shenzi this is the part where the killer shows up in all the slasher flicks."
"Not funny Dies!" Shenzi yells at her partner as she bops him in the head in a comical manner. When a tall gray robot steps out of the shadows. The duo calms down as they recognize it as one of Eggman's. An E-100 series to be precise.
"Oh its just one of our robots." Diesel remarks letting his guard down for a brief moment. "Anyways who are you anyways?"
The gray robot replied with. "E-102, Code name Gamma."

Gamma then suddenly attacks Diesel by launching bolts of electricity from tasers in his hands. Taking both Diesel and Shenzi completely unaware and then seemingly disappearing before their eyes. And the egg minions getting pelted with plasma bolts from a distance which force the duo to retreat further into the depths of the shelter where they are also stalked by Sumeragi's with longbow and headbands. With another group of Sumeragi's giving the first group arrows after coating the arrow tips with some black goo the first group take aim at the Egg bosses and launch their volleys from their vantage points atop the machinery with two of the arrows hitting Shenzi in the left leg and knee. The adrenaline caused the hyena to barely notice the fact that she took an arrow to the knee and merely powered on. Until about a minute in when the poison kicked in and Shenzi collapsed on the ground puking out vile and clutching her wounded leg in pain.
"Shenzi!" Diesel rushes toward her companion only to get backhanded by Gamma who reappears out of nowhere and smashes the bear into the ground in a display of raw power.
"Diesel!" Shenzi now completely pulled out a gun and tried to aim it at Gamma but the poison was messing with her system to the point where the hyena collapsed once again after misfiring. The shot hitting a pipe which caused hot steam to gush out.
As Sumeragi troopers closed in at the bear and hyena weapons drawn at the pair. Diesel was forced to desperately beg at Gamma to at least show Shenzi mercy. After hearing that the machines stopped for a moment in a moment of shared contemplation. Which was broken when Gamma directed his twin shoulder cannons at Shenzi and fired them at full power. Cooking the defenseless hyena alive and killing her on the spot. Leaving nothing but a fried husk and a horrified Diesel asking "Why?"
The only words that came out of Gamma's mouth were. "Mercy..." Which were enough to prompt the Egg boss into swearing vengeance against the E-100 series. Pulling out a large nasty meat hook from his right arm. Diesel went to town on the robot. Tearing him to pieces in revenge alongside the Sumeragi troopers that tried to fight back until nothing was left but a graveyard of scrap metal. While letting out a mournful roar. But as Diesel mourns Gamma's parts dissolve into red sand and gather into a pile before recomposing themselves.
In a flashback of his memories. Gamma's systems boot up as the robot sees the masked face of Kagemusha who is being informed by a woman in a green kimono of the former's successful activation. Kagemusha can only laugh evilly as Gamma is lifted up from his "bed."
"Excellent! The buckler has been successfully integrated into Gamma's systems! Not only reviving the original badnik without the need of an animal for a battery. But also granting Gamma all of Homura Akemi's time manipulation powers. As well as the power to revive after death even stronger than before! You are no longer merely Gamma you are Chaos Gamma! Improved thru the power of Reibai science! Bwahahahaha!"
And with that Gamma is revived and as good as new much to the shock of Diesel who tries to dismantle Gamma once more only to find his moves being countered one by one. And his entire fighting style being dismantled by the robot as if he had learned his techniques in an instant before grabbing the meat hook with one hand and shattering it causing Diesel to scream in pain and fall on his knees.
"Why do you serve Eggman?" Gamma asked Diesel. To which the latter just looked confused. "Why do you serve Eggman?" The robot asked again this time using his other arm to grab the bear's head and lift him up off his feet and crush his skull.
Grunting in pain he answers. "How should I know? Ask Axel! He's the one who got unified us and then got us into the empire!"
"Very well..." Replied Gamma as he let the bear go and left causing Diesel to fall on his ass clutching his head and broken arm in pain.
After a few minutes of screaming and swearing Diesel finally settles down but not before swearing vengeance on the robots of Gimme Shelter. He looks around and prepares to retreat unaware that he is being stalked by more robots who jump and kill him when he gets near the exit. Stabbing him countless times until he bleeds out and carrying off his corpse into the darkness as quietly as they came. A trail of blood being the only evidence that Diesel ever existed.
Night Babylon
In the skies of Night Babylon, Metal Sonic is bored. Unaware about the disaster occurring beneath ground he is listening to the radio inside his system. Trying to find something decent to listen to.
"Junk, junk, junk, junk." Metal Sonic mutters to himself. "Seriously there is nothing good on the radio on Saturday night."
"Okay everyone!" A voice speaks out to Metal Sonic as Kagemusha drops down from the sky meeting Metal eye to eye.
"And who are you?" Metal asks to the masked stranger before easily dodging several shots from his gun. "Shooting first! I see that you're not with the Resistance!"
Ost: Gods: New Getter Robo Vocal Collection
"Just your friendly neighborhood terrorist." Kagemusha snarked as he continued firing his gun at an increasing speed.
Metal Sonic though was created to match and surpass Sonic the hedgehog the fastest thing alive. Particle blasts were something that the robotic copy could easily avoid even when they were being fired at a speed comparable to a Gatling gun. Only to find out that he was being led into a trap as Metal Sonic is caught in a massive aerial explosion. Noticing all too late the aerial mines set up beforehand.
"That stings!" Metal complains as he gets serious and goes on the offensive against Kagemusha activating his black shield and ramming into his foe at literal mach speeds only to be stopped by Kagemusha's left arm which manages to hold back Metal Sonic's full fury to the shock and amazement of Metal himself.
"Not bad, but in comparison. You just don't match up." Kagemusha comments before stopping Metal's assault completely and grabbing the latter by his shiny blue head and tossing him down a building below destroying the property in the process. But in the dust and ruin Metal fired energy beams from his stomach that reached the sky which Kagemusha dodged before getting kicked by Metal in his overdrive form into another building. Already the people within the city were panicking and scattering around the city. Metal chases down Kagemusha and begins shooting at the building further destroying the city's skyline and getting punched in the face by the latter for his efforts into a car that explodes.
"Why do they always explode?" Kagemusha comments after seeing the car explode before clutching his left fist and charging energy within it and firing a large blast of energy from it. "Rekkoha!"
Metal Sonic quickly flies up dodging the blast as it takes out a building which explodes. Metal then comments. "Why do they always explode?" The fight continues as the two warriors collide and start a fistfight in the sky. "Seriously what's your problem?" Metal yells out in frustration as he slaps Kagemusha in the face pushing him back quite a bit.
"So, you actually want the promo? Fine." Kagemusha replies. "We are the Wings of Magius. Your friendly neighborhood terrorist group and our goal is simple. This universe is corrupt. And we aim to correct it." Metal Sonic just looks at Kagemusha like a crazy cultist to which the latter replies. "And this is why I prefer the violent solution. If you're gonna look like crazy people anyways. You might as well get results."
"Agreed." Metal Sonic speaks out.
"But anyways all Q-anon comparisons aside. Haven't you ever noticed that something strange is afoot in this world. I mean magical girls and talking animals with attitude? Haven't you once considered that this is all a weird match up?"
Metal Sonic actually paused for a moment to think before replying. "Honestly I always figured it was because of the fantasy kitchen sink nature of our cosmos."
"And how did it get to that? What if I could answer that question for ya?"
"What are you claiming to be, God?"
"No God, Metal Sonic, Merely the devil. And this devil is going to achieve the paradise that god so foolishly squandered due to his preference of humans. After all I am the messiah."
"You're bleeping delusional. That's what you are." Metal Sonic answered as he prepared to resume the fight until it was broken up by a powerful wave of energy that pinned both fighters to the ground almost instantly. Followed by a young brunette woman with a white ribbon in her hair, a green kimono, and a massive battle ax held in one hand like it weighed nothing. Who considering that she teleported from out of nowhere and her ears were round speaker like devices. Metal Sonic upon seeing her assumed was a machine and upon scanning her had his suspicions confirmed, as the scans showed she was some sort of AI using an avatar to manifest in the real world.

Monika smiled at Kagemusha and said. "Okay everyone! Its time to stop right now." To which the masked man was forced to stop. But Metal Sonic kept going. Charging straight at the duo the mechanical hedgehog managed some fancy maneuvers before being swatted away by the girl with the back of her ax. Metal Sonic rockets upward to fight Monika again but is smashed into the ground by the mysterious waves yet again. And the process is repeated over and over again.
"Fool..." Kagemusha mutters as Monika constantly bombards Metal Sonic with wave after wave of magic. "Gravity magic is especially potent against glass cannons. As expected from the one who is ordered to kill me."
"Don't you ever get tired?" Monika remarks at Metal Sonic as in a fit on anger she paralyzes Metal with her gravity magic and literally buries him face down underground. "Gamma, deal with the rabble and retreat to the Hakubi." The AI radioed in an exhausted and annoyed tone.
Gimme Shelter
Inside the shelter Axel and his troops were fighting off Sumeragi troopers when they finally found shelter by locking themselves in a computer room. The reinforced door and walls provided defense against the troopers blaster rifles until they gave up and seemingly left. With some time for themselves the crew finally managed to provide first aid to Axel and patch up the wound he received when shot. But the crew was still uneasy unable to communicate outside or to their fellows. When they notice a certain bat girl helping herself to the computer's console. Seemingly ignored by the security.
"I see that Gamma fellow had some improvements." The bat girl said to herself. "This Kagemusha guy used Omega's components in the revised frame. Especially on the arms and legs."
"Who are you? And how did you get past the security?" One of the goons asked the bat girl.
Who simply minding her own business replied. "Oh that? All in a day's work for master thief Rouge the bat." Shocking the crew that one of the notorious members of Team Dark had gotten there as well.

"Also I better get going since that Eggman robot is going to appear any moment now." Rouge remarks as she logs off and flies away much to the chagrin of Axel's henchmen who try and fail to catch her.
Axel then notices. "Wait did she say Eggman robot?" When an explosion knocks away the crew once more revealing Gamma as the culprit.
Another member of Axel's crew this one a buffalo remarks. "Oh good, reinforcements!" Before being blown up and killed courtesy of Gamma's cannons. Falling on the ground as little more than a smoking charred corpse.
"Who among you is Axel?" Gamma asks to the remaining members of the Egg army. Who then charge at the robot.
"You'll never get to our boss!" Yelled a male hyena member with a spiked club who was punched out of the way by Gamma drawing blood before the brawl turned into a massacre as the E-100 series systematically killed every mook one by one in a cold and calculating fashion before slowly approaching Axel. The buffalo strikes back by binding him with his chains and trying to crush him with all his might. But it does not work as Gamma's upgraded limbs allow him to overpower Axel and shatter his chains.
"You serve Eggman, why?" Gamma asks of Axel as he points his cannons at him point blank.
"You're doing all this just to find out you traitor?!" Axel complains to Gamma in open defiance.
"Traitor?" Gamma responded. "We were once Flickies free as the wind. But Eggman captured us. Put us inside cages. Put us inside machines. Turned us into his slaves. Yet you are serving him."
"So?" Axel replies. "Eggman is part of our crew. The crew comes first. Even if you hate each others guts."
"Are you aware that you have a bomb inside you?" Gamma asked to the surprise of Axel. "Eggman places bombs in all of his cyborgs to keep them in line. Did you know that?"
Axel looked genuinely surprised and horrified at hearing such things. He knew that cyborg implants were obligatory in all members of the Egg army for some reason. Much to some members chagrin. Mainly the Chunan branch led by Conquering Storm since they were proud of their own power and skills. But after hearing this it all started to make sense.
Gamma then disengages his cannons and speaks again. "I have been ordered to retreat. Farewell." Before disappear into thin air once more. Leaving Axel alone with his thoughts in a sea of carnage.
"There's no way this can be true can it?" Axel thinks to himself as he eyes diagnostic equipment conveniently placed next to the computer.
Meanwhile in the night sky a spaceship shaped like a winged whale leaves Night Babylon with an army of robots in tow. The Hakubi having finished its task of picking up Kagemusha, Gamma, and the Sumeragi troopers flies up into space preparing for its next mission.

And that's Chapter 7. Which was made to put to bed Chapter 3's secondary plot once and for all before we get too many plots in the air and the whole thing becomes a mess to deal with. I don't want another New York arc again like what happened in Radiant ZAFT. Which killed that fanfic dead. Next time we will move on to the main plot again.
Monika is actually an expy of Raphtalia from Rising of the shield hero. As the ax wielding sidekick of a morally dubious hero. As for the ax in the original novel that was Raphtalia's vessel weapon not the katana. Also of Monika from DDLC mainly because the name sounded cool.
