February 10 2024, Operation Unmasked world
Iroha took Yachiyo to a doctor to get her looked at and is now the latter is resting peacefully while the former looks on stealing glimpses on her sleeping face.
"This lady sure is pretty..." Iroha remarks of Yachiyo. As she lowers her head for a closer look before Yachiyo suddenly wakes up with a jolt headbutting the distracted pinkette. After a few moments of reeling in pain the two react upon meeting each other.
"W-w-who are you?! What is this place?!" Yachiyo screams as she goes on the defensive.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Iroha freaks out as she panics over the situation. "It's just that you were so pretty! I mean! You were hurt! On the road! Yes! That's it!"
"So this is a kidnapping?! Seriously! How bad can my day get?! First that creepy hooded girl shows up with her goons and now this!"
"Creepy hooded girl?" Iroha questions as Yachiyo strokes her hair back.
"Do you have something to drink? The model asked as Iroha gave her a bottle of water which Yachiyo chugged down with gusto leaving Iroha with one thought.
"Oh no! She's hot!" As she breaks out in a cold sweat.
Meanwhile the battle between Team Kagami and Kuro rages on. Or at least it should have. But it had quickly ended as a curbstomp in favor of the aliens.
"WEAK!" Kagemusha yelled out while everyone stood atop piles of crushed Kuro copies.
"And I thought Neo had it easy..." Souta mused as he sat on the chest of one of the Kuro's.
"Get off me you fat nerd!" The Kuro complained.
"The war plunder has no right to complain." Souta commented as he mounted his feet on Kuro as she completely and understandably freaks out.
"NOOOO! I wanted my first time to be with Akemi-san!" The Kuro whines which causes a riot with all the clones as they go into a frenzy.
"You're joking right?" Kagemusha asks the Kuro's to which causes the Kuro's to get angry at the masked man. "The calamity only cares about Madoka. And even then that's a stretch..." The rebellion gets worse but its quickly put down by a few well placed executions from Kagemusha's part. "Shut up!" Who them promptly leaves the tarmac.
"What's eating him?" "That time of the month?" "Haha! Good one!" The Kuro's react to the situation in different ways while the original is ashamed at the whole scenario. Simply remaining silent at the whole thing next to Kagami.
Kagami then finally asks the all important question. "So how do we get out here?"
Chapter 13: The first badnik
The mahou driver system. Originally an attempt to replace body parts with virtual replicas composed of digital material. This digital material was meant to prevent rejection and serve as a way to rapidly standardize medical equipment. But its ability to enhance body and mind soon found a new purpose on the battlefield. It is now the year Second history 8932, The so called singularity has long become a thing of legend and myth. And a new civilization has risen from the ashes of the old.
s.h. 8926, Dusty desert
A younger Sonic and Eggman take a look at the inside of the Egg bunker. Eggman's first secret base and lab built by the two of them during simpler and much different times. This was before Dr Ivo Robotnik was the notorious and feared Eggman. And Sonic the hedgehog was the world renowned hero who stopped him. Back then as far as they knew they were fellow outcasts shunned by conventional society for their abilities. Two more of the countless orphans who are part of the pipeline caused by the great war and its fallout.
Sonic himself celebrates by scarfing down chili dogs while Eggman eats some boiled eggs.
"You know Ivo, you're gonna get a heart condition with all those eggs you eat." Sonic comments in a playful manner.
"Look at you Sonic! With all those chili dogs you'll scare away all the girls with your bad breath. Ohohohohoho!" Eggman gripes back.
"Eh! Bros before hoes like they say."
"Indeed. To a place where we can belong!" Eggman cheers holding a half eaten egg while Sonic does the same with a chili dog.
"Hear hear doc!"
As the two celebrated their success at finishing the large construction project they reminisce about their pasts and how they met...
Ost: It doesn't matter (instrumental), Sonic Adventure
Sonic the hedgehog, 16 years old, Born in the year 8916 of the second history at the end of both the Great war and both reigns of King Maximilian and the Overlord. He himself never knew his parents and spent his formative years in Christmas island. A penal colony where GUN sent ethnic groups to get rid of them for centuries. And even now surviving populations born of their descendants make their homes in impoverished squalor. Because life always seems to find a way. Even in putrid hellholes designed to break people and make them disappear.
Sonic lived in the local communal orphanage Longclaw academy. An old longstanding school that had been around since the people of Christmas island have been a community which was ran by Headmaster Sophocles. A wise if scatterbrained and forgetful elderly owl. Living was hard but simple. Until one day when it suddenly happened. Now its not uncommon for hedgehogs to be swift of feet if they develop it. Amy Rose managed to go from a damsel in distress to almost breaking the sound barrier by training for several years. But this was a sudden mutation, an awakening not unlike an evolution or a transformation.
As Sonic quickly managed to reach speeds that broke the sound barrier and mastered said ability with ease he managed to use it to slip past the port security and sneak out of Christmas island in a cargo boat. Spending his childhood and early adolescence wondering Mobius by himself as it rebuilt from the ashes of the great war. Seeing Mobius and its wonders but being all alone until stumbling into a rundown tiny house at night in the year 8924.

Doctor Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik, 40 years old, Born in the year 8886 of the second history. Valedictorian at the Robot institute of technology located in Empire city. And grandson to the famous groundbreaking scientist Professor Gerald Robotnik. In his youth he was stated to have been a prodigy but had a difficult time growing up. His mother died young and his father was an abusive meathead causing him to admire his departed grandfather and his achievements. And was groomed by the overlord Colin Kintobor to be part of the next generation of scientists that would lead him to victory in the Great war.
Eggman's admiration of Professor Gerald was great but unbeknownst to him. While he was working with GUN in his youth he would discover his grandfather's long lost journal and the secrets it contained inside driving him mad. What lies inside said journal? That is a mystery for another day. But Eggman did try to attempt a failed coup afterwards in response. And was forced to flee only being saved by the fall of the Overlord at the hands of another rebelling faction.
Ever since then he sought recognition and glory even as he hid from the world. Until one night when he met a young blue hedgehog that broke into his house by chance looking for shelter from the rain.
Ivo wandered around the dark house with a shotgun. Wandering around the dark recesses of the house the scientist stumbles around until he hears voices in the distance as he finds a blue hedgehog watching the TV and eating hotdogs. Eggman tries to shoot at the hedgehog only to miss and hit the TV breaking the screen by accident.
"Hey that's not very nice!" The young hedgehog muttered to Ivo who was shocked at what just happened.
"What the hell?!" Ivo yelped as he dropped his gun and tried to get some distance from the hedgehog who merely looked on with curiosity as lightning struck outside.
Eggman scrambled to find a light and when he did he was astonished at witnessing his unusual and hyperactive guest. Whom quickly made himself at home with his incredible speed and reflexes. Barely giving the doctor a moment to catch his thoughts. It wasn't until he fell asleep about an half hour later that Eggman finally had a moment to think.
"Fascinating." He thought to himself as he saw Sonic out cold in the nearby sofa. "I've never seen anything move this fast. Perhaps this rodent will be the key to my plans. Time is of the essence..." Eggman mutters as he hurries to grab his equipment in order to analyze this strange creature. As the night passed and Eggman analyzed the young hedgehog in his sleep pulling an all-nighter over the whole thing. Until Sonic wakes up the morning after around eight hours later when Eggman is done with his work.
"Interesting, so you can run at the speed of sound?" Eggman asked.
"Yup!" Sonic replied as he ate breakfast. "So thanks for the food I guess."
"Indeed." The younger Eggman replied as he looked over the data. The two then spent the day swapping backstories and childhood tales. Building a sort of odd rapport between the two outcasts. As time passed Sonic and Eggman left the shitty little house and went to the Dusty desert where the two are standing next to a large random pile of parts and pieces.
Eggman began saying. "This is where we will our secret hideout!"
"In the middle of nowhere?" Sonic replied.
"Well you wanted a place to run freely Sonic." The doctor remarked with exasperation in his voice. "Now let's get to work."
What followed was a montage of the two building relatively quickly the Egg bunker. How did they built a secret base between the two of them in about a month out of abandoned scrap found in the desert is a mystery of logistics. But by early Janua 8926 the Egg bunker was complete and the two were working on what according to Eggman would make Sonic the fastest thing alive.
"These shoes are special." Eggman pointed to the bright red shoes with the white stripe and gold colored strap that Sonic was now wearing in place of his worn down and broken shoes. "They not only protect your feet from injury and from excess friction. But they help channel your inner chaos energy and..."
Sonic merely points to Eggman to stop talking and says. "So this will make me faster?"
Eggman smiles and states. "Try them out..." Which Sonic quickly does going outside for a run. While Sonic is outside Eggman chuckles to himself and mutters. "Gullible fool. This is almost too easy..." As he heads to a half built machine tucked away in a corner.
Sonic meanwhile is running outside in the desert sun. Speeding thru the empty open roads until he hits the speed of sound and causes a sonic boom with utter glee.
Time passed and Eggman completed his device. A giant treadmill with cables connecting it to a pylon and a crystal. While Sonic looks at the device with curiosity while playing with string.
"Excellent! The Retro Orbital Chaos Compressor is finished!" Eggman gleefully boasts all the while he caresses his machine. "With this we will be able to harness the very forces of the chaos force and condense and seal them into these crystals as a power source. Finally solving the eternal struggle of powering machinery with unlimited energy provided by the chaos force itself!"
Sonic frontflips into the treadmill and gets a feel for the equipment saying. "Yeah I don't really get it... But all I have to do is run as fast as I can, right?"
"That is correct Sonic." Eggman explains as he turns his back to the hedgehog hiding and insidious grin from view. "Once you hit a certain speed threshold the energy will be transferred into the crystal thru the process of kinetic transference. Basically it will be like charging a battery."
"Well ready the instruments Robotnik. I've got some running to do!" Sonic replies with a cheeky grin and a thumbs up.
"Ohoohohohoo! Excellent! Let's begin immediately." Eggman remarked as he rushed to get everything started. And when Eggman was alone he laughed and muttered to himself. "It won't be long now till I get rid of this blue pest." As he begins to activate the ROCC sub systems from the safety of his control room. Fantasizing on how he was going to kill his so called partner once his empire had gotten started.
As Sonic ran on the treadmill, green energy began to gather on the ROCC and crystal. Sonic picked up more and more speed until he reached a consistent 500 mph. The treadmill was surprisingly sturdy Sonic thought. Normally these things fell apart whenever Sonic was half serious about his running. Then again Sonic's speed was far from normal. The crystal itself was obtaining a steady supply of energy as well. And that's when Sonic got the order from Robotnik.
"Sonic! Go full speed!"
The blue blur unaware of Eggman's plotting gladly obliged. Not knowing that Robotnik had hooked himself into the power matrix attempting to harness the chaos force into his own body. "With this I will become a god!" Eggman mused. "Just like wizards of Ixis and the Noctornus tribe of old. I will surpass humanity! Sonic the hedgehog. I do not know how you managed to obtain a connection to the chaos force nor do I care. But I know that you are a threat to my empire. And you must be eliminated! Goodbye friend!" Eggman then pushes a large lever that sets the ROCC into overdrive and shuts down all the safeties.
While that is happening Sonic breaks the sound barrier once more and the ROCC begins to break down. Sonic tries to stop but finds himself physically unable to. Nothing more than a cog in the machine as it loses control and self destructs around him taking out the entire bunker in a massive explosion of chaos energy that consumes the facility and both Sonic and Eggman.
All according to plan...
As Dr. Robotnik rises from the rubble little worse from wear and better than ever. Having absorbed the energy of the chaos force. "Yes! Yes! I understand now! Bwahahahahahaa!" Heading to a piece of concrete which he crushes with one hand to test his newfound strength. Eggman smiles pleased with his new power. Leaving Sonic for dead, he leaves the bunker on his latest creation the Eggmobile. A personal egg shaped hovercraft he had been working on. And prepares for his next move.
Meanwhile Sonic lies unconscious underneath a pile of rubble. Saved by his own connection to the chaos force which subconsciously generated a protective barrier to shield him from the explosion. Where he would be found days later by a certain pair of agents of the crown.
Jul 4 s.h. 8932, Westside island
Back in the current era Madoka Kaname is searching for Sonic the hedgehog looking for training with Antoine D'Coolette in tow. While Sonic is sleeping atop the branch of a tree.
"Really Madame Kaname. While I understand the need for training I don't think you'll manage to drag Sonic into this. He is brilliant but lazy to put it nicely." Antoine remarks to Madoka.
The magical girl simply pouts determined to get stronger and figure out her bracelet. "Still! Sonic is just lazing around. Tails is spending all his time working on his planes. And Knuckles is protecting the Master emerald all holed up in the Skypatrol's engine room. Aren't you guys worried about future enemies?"
"Well to be fair Eggman isn't exactly much of a threat. He's just really, really, persistent. We've always managed to beat him one way or another. Even that one time he teamed up with Dr. Wily and the other time he teamed up with Bowser for the Olympics." The coyote remarked reminiscing on the many, many, many, failures of their shared arch enemy.
"Is he really that weak?" Madoka asked unable to let go of her gut feeling. "Also when did you guys go to the Olympics?"
"Oh i've got stories for days mademoiselle!" Antoine remarks as the two leave the room while Sonic looks above them from a distance.
"Wonder how Mario and Megaman are doing..." Sonic muses cheerfully. Thinking back to his previous adventures.
Sally Acorn then joins Sonic in the treetops to inform the latter of what's been happening. "Well Sonic it looks like the Skypatrol is ready for flight again. We'll be able to depart tomorrow at first light."
"Good! It's been a while since i've stretched my legs." Sonic replied.
"By the way Sonic, why did you bring in that Madoka girl?"
"Her whole amnesia thing reminded me of myself when I first came in. Besides you guys took me in no questions asked. Even thought I was basically dead in a ditch in a desert. So why not do the same?"
Sally smiles agreeing with Sonic's decision at the time. "Sonic, you've never regained your memories. Even after all this time right?"
Sonic simply brushes it off remarking. "Does it matter?"
"Well you could have friends or family worried about you somewhere."
"I doubt it." Sonic retorts. "I'm kind of a big deal now. And it's been five years. Don't you think someone would have noticed with all the world saving i've done?"
Sally jumps off the tree and looks up at Sonic stating. "Still you should be more concerned about yourself." As she walks off. While Sonic nods off once more.
Egg carrier, International waters
Meanwhile Eggman was heading to Westside island in one of his Egg carriers to face off against the Resistance. The large maroon red and grey warship was coasting along the skies above Mobius oceans. Eggman was doing last minute check ups on his Battle Eggman Robo and its mass produced counterparts for Maw and Hime alongside the latter two while Metal Sonic was looking after the bridge crew of Egg pawns and other assorted badniks.
"So we are going directly at the Resistance huh?" Hime questioned Eggman about his unusual battle plan.
"It's nothing new." Maw replied. "If anything i'm sure the resistance must be wondering why we have been keeping oddly quiet as of late."
"Ooh! Your master is quite bold in that regard." Hime mentions.
"How does Kuro do things anyway Hime?" Maw asked at her newest compatriot.
"Honestly Kuro-chan is quite a drag... She is the only one of us who is actually devoted to the Calamity Homun. The rest of us are either exploiting her like me, gang pressed into service like Touka, or both like Kyubey."
"Sound rough, buddy." Maw replies in a compassionate tone.
"Oh you have no idea darling!" Hime remarks while twirling her hair like a diva and giggling coyly. "I'm sure that girl is freaking out right now wondering where I am. Barking out orders like a doggie. And to think that she used to be so weak not to long ago." Maw looked on with curiosity at hearing that comment something Hime took notice of. "You see Maw dear. Kuro only got so powerful because of technology that we stole from the Reibai. The infamous mahou driver system."
Maw looked surprised at hearing such words as he had heard of the technology both before and after looking over what Axel brought in but he believed it too amazing to be true.
"Oh its true dear. The mainlanders have such amazing toys. But they believe that such power is too great for anyone to have. What a shame." Hime whispers in Maw's ears as she slinks away like a cat.
Calamity castle, Unknown regions of space
Deep in the darkest abyss of forbidden space a large glowing black and purple asteroid claws its way out of the shadows. Branded with a massive Calamitous ones emblem on its front and atop it Calamity castle. The Calamity Homun's sealing place since time immemorial. A black decayed Gothic castle surrounded by four pillars that serve as towers and connected to a central retractable dome as the main building. Everything about the facility reeked of death, decay, and corruption. And a dark secret that was meant to be forgotten by the universe at large. In the central tower was the throne room where Kuro was raking over her subordinates over their recent failures.
"Dummies!" Kuro yells out at the Blights especially the revived Dire and Turbine. Before shooting at them with the summoned Damocles cannon.
"My lord! Please stop this!" A frog ninja themed Blight flashily jumps out of the crowd and lands in front of the three villians.
"Rin? What are you doing getting in the way?!" Dire complains to the ninja girl who is short and lithe in comparison to the other Blights with spikes on top of her head and a gray skin tight kunoichi outfit with a stern taciturn matter of fact way of speaking.
"Saving your life idiot!" Rin commented. Immediately forcing the wolf into silence

"If you'll allow me I will handle retrieving our lost assets my lord."
Kuro in annoyed tone states. "Do not fail me."
"I swear upon my honor as a frog ninja!" Rin states as she kneels towards Kuro in a humble manner.
"Do it..." Kuro simply mutters as Rin vanishes in a cloud of smoke causing Dire and Turbine to cough wildly as they are caught in the crossfire of the jutsu.
"I hate it when she does that..." Dire complains with Turbine sneezing loudly straight in Dire's face covering her with large amounts of snot remarking. "Bless you." As she pulls out a handkerchief from her pocket.
Emerald coast. Westside Island
As high noon reaches Westside island the emergency alarms sound off declaring that an enemy has appeared on the local airspace. Since the enemy is Eggman and the Resistance is nearby this is little more than a formality to the locals. With the citizens having promptly moved on to higher ground to watch what would inevitably be free entertainment as Sonic fights Eggman yet again. Madoka Kaname is not amused. As she is alongside Sally, Antoine and Bunnie Rabbot handling the civilians and making sure that they don't get in the way.
"You're just gonna let Sonic go alone?!" The pink magical girl screams at the Princess in disapproval at the current "plan." While Sally herself is enjoying a lunch of assorted fried nuts dipped in honey.
Sally simply replies. "Well to be honest I was incredulous at first as well. But Sonic always manages to pull through."
Antoine simply pats Madoka in the back and offers popcorn to the girl. "Don't worry mademoiselle. It's just Robotnik. Sonic will be done with him in no time."
"Honestly I prefer sweet things." Madoka replied.
"Oh really? I'll get the candy and chocolate then." The coyote knight comments. "You like Nutty Nut Nut?" With Bunnie smiling over the situation as she talks to the crowd.
Meanwhile Sonic is at the beach facing Eggman's Egg carrier boastfully facing off against his enemy. "Come one! Come all! Who wants a piece of the champ?!" As the hedgehog darts around the sand taunting the giant airship above the sky. Break dancing and finger banging like there is no tomorrow until Eggman launched his robots and landed next to Sonic.
"Five years Sonic! Five years!" Eggman yelled as he was getting booed by the citizens of Emerald coast like some sort of wrestling heel. Instead of the feared international terrorist he really is.
Madoka meanwhile is in utter shock about how utterly carefree everyone is taking the whole scenario. Her face essentially being stuck in a state of "Does not compute, and Error 404." With even Sally, Bunnie, and especially Antoine joining in.
Eggman meanwhile continues his evil heel speech. "For far too long have I been forced to been humiliated by you. But no longer! With my new Battle Eggman Robo! I will destroy you! Once and for all! And the Eggman Empire will rise!"
"You know for someone who hated the name Eggman. You sure went along with the name." Sonic cheekily replied.
"Fuck. You." Eggman replied with seething anger as he drew his giant blade pointing it at Sonic's face who simply smiled back at the mad doctor.
Ost: 100 nen no monogatari, Gundam AGE Ost
Sonic and Eggman began their battle as Maw and Hime hung back alongside the Egg carrier. The two clashed fiercely trading blows in close combat. A surprisingly quick and agile mech the Battle Eggman Robo manages to keep up with Sonic with its swordplay. As Sonic tries to break its sword and pierce its defenses to no avail.
"You're doing pretty good Eggman." Sonic remarks.
"Really? Well get a load of this!" Eggman goes into overdrive. As Sonic spin attacks into the robot only for Eggman to dodge, backtrack, and strike back with a powerful counter that knocks Sonic into the sand creating a massive cloud of dirt.
Maw and Hime look on with the former looking particularly impressed at the Eggman Robo's performance. The latter meanwhile silently looks on smiling all the way.
Eggman charges at Sonic with his sword in the air ready to strike. Striking the dust cloud slicing it apart and causing a massive explosion. Sonic manages to leap off the explosion and lands on his feet.
"Activate EGG system." Eggman yells as the chest gem in the Battle Eggman Robo begins to glow and his mech begins to speed up to the point he leaves afterimages as he chases Sonic who breaks into a run. As the chase begins the Eggman Robo summons its buckler which fires it's inbuilt cannons at the ground to trip up the hedgehog. Sonic sidesteps the shots as they explode all over the coastline. Sonic runs up a wall and jumps into the machine's head and tries to strike it. But Eggman manages to avoid it and gets kicked by the giant mech and punted into the floor.
Sonic tries to get up only to get shot multiple times by Eggman by his buckler. And then get stomped by the giant mech. And then get stomped several more times for good measure with the Battle Eggman Robo finishing it off with grinding his right mecha foot on the floor and revealing a crushed and beat up Sonic flat on the ground all the while Eggman laughs.
In the high ground the Resistance is left stunned silent at seeing Sonic getting punted into the ground. With Madoka trying to get the others to do something to help. "What are you people doing all slack jawed like this?! Your friend is in danger over there?!"
Sonic gets up from the ground saying. "Don't worry! This is just a scratch!"
"Oh really?" Eggman states. "Maw, Hime, How about you join in the fun?"
"Yes, sir!" Maw remarks. As the duo following Eggman join in readying their weapons. Maw launching its mechs tentacles at Sonic while Hime leaps forward with claws raised at the hedgehog. Sonic manages to dodge all the attacks and tries to strike back at the two mechs as well. Bodying Hime with a spin attack and deflecting Maw's tentacles before he tries to use his vacuum to try to disable Sonic while Eggman shoots at the hedgehog.
Sonic manages to dodge all the shots in a matrix style matter while being vacuumed. Then Maw angrily screams. "Just die already!" Launching his Robo's tentacles. Sonic easily dodges it's tentacles over and over again taunting the thylacine by spanking his butt. Hime tries to go in for the kill but Sonic swiftly dodges the sneak attack with ease. Until Eggman once again breaks the momentum with a powerful body blow that causes him to crash into a wall and cause it to collapse.
"You fools!" Eggman yelled at Maw and Hime.
"Sorry sir..." Maw responded. Clearly ashamed of his failure while Hime muttered angrily.
Eggman meanwhile prepared to finish off his rival with one powerful final blast and the Resistance was freaking out trying to scramble to do something.
"This is not good!" Sally mentions in frustration.
"I can't believe this!" Antoine screams in a panic while Bunnie tries to calm everyone down.
"Son of a bitch!" The cyborg rabbit commented. "Is this all we can do?!"
Then Madoka begins glowing once again causing Antoine and Bunnie to glow as well and become pillars of light that combine into one giant pillar that heads to the site where the battle is taking place. Then a white with red giant triangular flying wing with two cockpit heads composed of a fused Antoine and Bunnie takes shape in between Sonic and the Battle Eggman Robo

"Antoine D'Coolette!" "Bunnie D'Coolette!" "Evolution!" "Evolution! Free Bird! Rock ON!"
This new machine the Free bird starts firing its compliment of blasters at Eggman dealing damage to his mech and causing him to back off before taking off to the skies.
The Skypatrol also begins to activate by itself and launch. Opening it's eyes and awakening it's internal AI systems to Sally's shock when she hears the news from Nicole. The Skypatrol shrinks to a smaller size and begins assisting the Free bird by attacking Maw and Hime who are taken by surprise by the situation.
"What is going on Ant?" Bunnie remarks her voice coming from the cockpit on the top of the wing as she tries to figure out the situation.
"I don't know dear." Antoine replies his voice coming from the cockpit in the front of the wing which extends showing a neck firing at a chasing Eggman. "One moment we were with the Princess and now we're here fused together."
"You're taking this quite well." Bunnie replies.
"Well considering the things we've seen. Besides I feel like I somehow understand how this transformation works."
"Me too. Including that we can combine with the Skypatrol somehow. But first! Laser array!" Laser beams pierce Eggman causing him to crash into the ground and disable his EGG system making him lose his considerable speed and strength advantage. Eggman screams in frustration which gets worse when Sonic climbs out of the rubble and spin attacks into the Battle Eggman Robo as payback. Then runs around it creating a sand tornado that ends up being cover for a barrage of both spin attacks and blaster shots from Free Bird.
Maw rushes to his master's defense using his tentacles to attack both Sonic and Free Bird but they both dodge and his giant robot is pelted by the Skypatrol's now reactivated main beam cannon. While Hime uses the Chaos to sneak away with her fancy new mech.
"Time for this cat to split." Hime remarks as she teleports away. Eggman Robo in tow.
Metal Sonic then joins in with his high mobility variant which is intercepted by Sonic. "Bunnie! Ant! Hurry up and combine! I'll hold off this faker!"
"Sonic! I'll crush you!" Metal roars as he attempts to literally crush the blue blur beneath his mecha's hand and feet. But Sonic manages to avoid all attempts with ease.
"What's the matter Metal? Compared to how you usually move. Today you're just too slow!"
The taunt enrages Metal enough to fire his beam rifle at Sonic which goes about as well as you would expect. It gets to the point where the Eggman Robo overloads and break down trying to keep up with Metal Sonic's demands. Eventually just plain shutting down and crashing in mid fight. Leading Metal to simply ditch the machine in frustration and go after Sonic himself.
"Okay so how did those terrorists do it?" Antoine asked when it came to Gattai as both Free Bird and Skypatrol were flying circles around Eggman and Maw at this point.
Bunnie then says. "I think it goes... Free Bird! Skypatrol! Gattai evolution!"
"Gattai evolution! Mobius-Oh! Rocking ON!" (massive explosion)
And upon speaking those words an explosion occurs that knocks back Maw and Eggman who at this point are just furious as Free Bird and Skypatrol fly high into the sky and combine in a similar way to Dai-Ronin with Free Bird splitting apart and Skypatrol spreading its wings into legs and turning its head into a back and torso. Free birds wings turn into arms and its body into the mecha's chest and head. Similar to Dai-Ronin only with two components. And seemingly an ability all four heavenly king ships share so far. A giant mecha with the appearance of a Renaissance gentleman that touches the ground with grace and a polite bow talking in a voice that is a combination of Antoine and Bunnie.

"What in the hell just happened?!" Maw screamed in disbelief. "Is this more mainlander tech Hime?! Hime?! Hime?!"
"It seems that Hime has left us high and dry." Eggman remarked. "No matter i'll deal with her later." Eggman ready for battle readies his sword while Mobius-Oh merely stands before the two in the classic Gainax pose. As Eggman and Maw attempt to pincer their foe. Eggman with his blade and Maw with tentacles. Mobius-Oh merely grabs said weapons and shoots back with his arm mounted twin guns.
"Foolish fools! Do you not know who I am! I am Mobius-Oh the mighty! Mobius-Oh the powerful! You shall be nothing more than scrap piles amidst my glorious legend!"
Meanwhile with the rest of the Resistance...
Sally and Nicole were screaming at Madoka in perfect unison. "What the fuck did you do to Antoine and Bunnie. Kaname Madoka?!"
"I don't know! I don't know! This didn't happen with Dai-Ronin!"
Back at the fight...
"Machine gun punch!" Mobiu-Oh continues it assault punching Maw and his Eggman Robo and while Eggman manages to regain the use of his EGG system this time it isn't as effective as the machine gun punch has enough speed and power to counter all of Eggman's attacks and shatter Eggman's sword. Forcing him to fight on the defensive and at a distance with his buckler.
"Wimpy little Eggboi!" Mobius-Oh responded as his shoulders opened to reveal dozens of missiles. "I am Mobius-Oh! And that means God!" Which it fires at Eggman. The scientist uses his skills to shoot down the Itano circus in front of him only to find that it was a feint. Eggman tries to punch the guy and succeeds. But Mobius-Oh punches back harder retracting it's right hook and yelling. "Magnum punch!" Before extending his fist and causing Eggman to lose most of his Battle Eggman Robo's left arm when he tried to block the blow.
"Where's Metal Sonic?!" Maw complains as he witnesses an injured Eggman clutching his left arm. Then they see that Metal is completely engrossed with fighting Sonic over in the distance. "This is a complete disaster! We need to retreat!" Maw launches the retreat flare and takes Eggman with him. Causing Mobius-Oh to finally let up or so it seemed.
Sonic and Metal Sonic were still going at it. Trading blows with crazed ferocity. Sonic notices the retreat flare and comments to Metal if he should retreat. Something that the latter refuses to do.
"Maw may surrender. But I do not!"
"Fine by me!" Sonic replied.
Unknown to the two of them Mobius-Oh was charging it's power and aiming its Final move at the Egg carrier. Waiting for Maw and Eggman to enter the ship in order to open fire on it. Planning to kill Eggman and Maw when they are weak.
"What are you doing?" Antoine and Bunnie screamed at Mobius-Oh internally trying to stop the latter's plan but they are being overridden by the gestalts power.
As Maw and Eggman entered the carrier Mobius-Oh attacked raising it's arm cannons and readying a massive ball of plasma at the Egg carrier's engines which everyone takes notice of but is too slow to act upon.
Everyone but one. Metal Sonic who in an instant rushes to block Mobius-Oh attack with his black shield. Succeeding but being shot down for his troubles.
Sally immediately orders Madoka to cancel the Gattai which Madoka acquiesces in kind. Separating a shocked Antoine and Bunnie who soon collapse. Sonic quickly runs to their side and Eggman picks up Metal Sonic and leaves. With everyone shocked and in horror at what happened.
A good distance away though Hime is thoroughly enjoying the chaos caused by the whole scenario. "Bwahahahahahahaaa! And that's why the Reibai sought to limit the advancements in Mahou driver technology Maw... While it is true that Gattai's create powers equal to the Arc system they have a trade off. The gestalt mind that is created because of it. An improperly trained Gattai team can cause something like Mobius-Oh or even something worse."
Then suddenly water shurikens strike at Hime's mecha from behind causing her to stumble and fall on her knees.
"Rin..." Hime cussed in utter annoyance.
"Lord Hime your foolishness ends here!" The frog kunoichi comments as she looks down on the mecha from a vantage point.
"Did you forget Rin? I have numbers!" Hime comments as hundreds of Skull raisers appears from thin air to dogpile the ninja and stab her to death until there is nothing but a bloody mess on the ground.
Only for Rin to appear inside the Eggman Robo's cockpit and capture Hime. "And did you forget my Lord? I have skills!" With that the two teleport away leaving the mecha abandoned.

This is the end of Chapter 13. Which reveals the origins of Sonic and his rivalry with Eggman. Also, any similarities to Stay Sonic are purely coincidental, seriously. I didn't even know that there was a story when Sonic and Eggman were friends before writing this chapter.
Sonic's backstory is basically a cross between the UK comics backstory with inspiration from Touma Kamijou's origins. As well as some of the game canon of him being native to Christmas island and having basically ran away from home when his super speed manifested. Having been wandering the world ever since he was five years old. Christmas island itself is based on both Guantanamo bay and the Jewish Ghettos of World war II. Much like the Puella register is inspired by the yellow badges used by the Nazis.
Headmaster Sophocles is a composite of Sophocles the owl and Old man owl from the Sonic OVA. Having the former's name but the latter's personality with the Longclaw academy being a shout out to the live action movie. With Sophocles being a descendant of the movie Longclaw.
Mobius-Oh is inspired by Tauburn from Star Driver. And the EGG system was originally an homage to the AGE system from Gundam AGE as Eggman's personal mech was meant to have a big chest crystal like the AGE Gundam's but it ended up being more like the Trans-AM in practice.
And yes the alien war in the prologue is one big reference to World war II and the Holocaust.
