February 13 2024, Operation Unmasked world
It is another dreary moonlit night like so many others where Homura Akemi lies sitting down staring at the abyss. The aloof dark haired beauty whose life was dedicated to Madoka was little more than a pale shell of who she was now. After spending over a decade maintaining her labyrinth she now looked malnourished and with dark spots in her eyes. And her school uniform had seen a fair amount of wear and tear and clearly hasn't been changed in a while. But it didn't matter to her. Madoka was safe. Madoka was happy. All was well in her world. She didn't even bother paying attention when a man in a mask went to challenge her to combat. She had already defeated so many troublemakers it didn't even register when her power to rewrite memories was ineffective on him.
"You look like shit." Kagemusha muttered. His rage barely held in.
Meanwhile Homura smirked before going back to stare at the stars. "Who are you?"
"So you don't remember. Of course you don't remember. You don't remember how you ruined my life. You don't remember how you killed me. You don't remember how you destroyed my world, my people, my reason for living. All to indulge in your selfish power fantasy!"
Homura simply chuckles stating. "I'm sorry. Do you have ANY idea how little that narrows it down?" Which gets her a punch to the face from the masked man that knocks her from her chair and into the grassy ground. Homura still cocky and defiant merely chuckles again and comments. "There. Are you satisfied? Now go away." Which only makes Kagemusha angrier causing him to grab Homura's chair and smash it onto her breaking it into pieces and causing the devil to bleed.
And to get angry. "I liked that chair..." Causing Homura to strike back. Trying to punch Kagemusha only to have her fist caught. The devil freezes up internally in shock and her thoughts scramble to catch up. "Okay Homura be cool... Your five demon brains can get you out of this situation."
The scene switches to five tiny brains inside Homura's skull who begin speaking.
"Madoka's boobs..."
"Madoka's butt..."
"Madoka's panties..."
"MADOKA MADOKA MADOKA MADOKA MADOKA MADOKA MADOKA MADOKA MADOKA MADOKA MADOKA MADOKA"
"You haven't done anything but stalk Kaname-san for the past 114 years. We're you really expecting anything else?"
Back in reality Kagemusha shatters Homura's right arm causing the latter to scream and then punches her gut causing her to puke out her guts before finishing the whole thing with a German suplex and a boot to the face that landed with such force that it cracked the ground.
"Son of a bitch..." Homura mutters as she lets off a flash bang grenade in an attempt to escape.
Chapter 17: Sonic warriors
Arc... Gattai... Systems designed to surpass Gods and devils. Originally the Arc system was meant to stand alone as the key to defeating the Great Calamity. It is now the year 8932 of the second history. And thanks to this advancements made many years ago. The galaxy is heading towards a period of revolution. A new era is dawning. But what this new era entails is still unclear,
Jul 6 s.h. 8932, Westside island, Emerald coast
The bridge bunny sisters are hanging out in a bar drinking their problems away and complaining about their current situation. Alias is especially drunk having one too many shots of tequila and having a lousy tolerance for alcohol.
"Mou! This is the pits! What are we supposed to do now!" Alias screams out to the point where the other patrons can hear it.
"Nee-sama. You're drunk." Layer remarks trying to calm down the eldest sister.
"What do you know little miss nudist!" Alias bites back her breath reeking of booze.
"I'm a naturalist nee-sama! And it's a lifestyle choice! Now sit down!"
While the two are fighting Pallet just looks around bored and remarks. "Well what's the point. We're basically jobless until the whole Skypatrol mess is solved. So all we can do is laze around on the taxpayer dime." Pallet then notices a young redheaded girl with an ahoge walking around on her own and muses to herself. "Wow I must be drunk..." And sneaks off to go to her.
Ahiru Arima meanwhile looked around nervously around the bar while the patrons were either glaring daggers at the little girl of getting piss drunk. "I'm definitely lost, quack."
"Hello cutie!" Pallet yells to Ahiru as she hugs her from behind completely freaking the duck girl out as Pallet ends up fondling her. "Don't mind me! I'm just drunk!"
"Fakir then appears behind the two with a massive death glare that scares Pallet sober before getting a punch to the face.
The scene switches to the sheriff's office where the bridge bunnies who have each been arrested for public indecency are being dressed down by Princess Sally. And Fakir has also been arrested alongside Ahiru. While the bridge bunnies and Fakir are composed. Ahiru is completely breaking down and in tears. With Fakir trying and failing to cheer her up.
"Bwaaaack! I'm too young to go to prison!"
"Ahiru calm down. We haven't even heard from the sheriff yet."
"But Fakir. You're just the kind of pretty boy that gets all the prison rapes. I've heard the stories!"
Fakir just looks at Ahiru with a no just no face and Sally and the bridge bunnies having heard the whole thing are understandably mortified over the situation.
"Alias, Layer, Pallet. You three are under house arrest until this whole mess with the Skypatrol is sorted out. Understand?" Princess Sally orders with the tone of a very disappointed mother before leaving to deal with Ahiru and Fakir.
Jul 7 s.h. 8932, Iron dominion headquarters, Iron dominion, Chun-nan
The Iron dominion headquarters is a fancy giant oriental castle in the center of a gigantic steampunk walled city. During the time between Hime's escape from the Shujin temple and now. She has been converting the entire population of the Iron dominion into Skullraisers and creating a million strong zombie army for her personal use. Now headquartered in the throne room where the Bride of Conquering Storm once plotted. Hime looks upon the empire she conquered in a single day. As she is being served hand and foot by her personal servants.
"I'm legit impressed." Kuro remarks, her hooded face visible from a holo transmission. "So now what?"
"Isn't it obvious. Kill Sonic." Hime remarked with a vicious smile in her face.
"You seem oddly interested in messing with that hedgehog. Why is that?"
"Good question..." Hime then knocks back her head and begins to think. "Something about him just pisses me off. But why I don't know. Anyway without the Arc to back him up. Simple numbers will be enough to crush him."
"I hope for your sake that you're right."
Shujin temple, Dragon temple, Chun-nan
Its raining in the Shujin temple grounds as the day of the funeral has come. As everyone makes final preparations for the ceremony Sonic, Monkey, and Himeko are discussing the current situation while Himeko is showing off her skills with a sitar. Doing a surprisingly good improv performance with the instrument for her first go around. To the point of getting a round of applause. Leading her to blush.
"Wow that's amazing! And this is your first time?" Monkey asked the photographer.
"Well I did learn to play the cello." Himeko replied. "But it was mostly to accompany Chikane-chan's piano. She's the real pro."
"I got to admit. Even i'm curious now." Sonic replies which embarrasses Himeko even more.
"Hey stick out your chest in pride girl! The hero of Mobius and the monkey king themselves are giving you praise! That's high regard from anyone if I say so!" Monkey commented.
"Are you really a king Mr. Khan?" Himeko wondered. Thinking that Monkey is too young to be a ruler.
"Hell yeah! In Chun-nan it ain't the oldest who get to rule. But the ones with pluck and drive. That's how I became king of the monkeys. By being the strongest, smartest, and bravest!"
Silver entered the room and waved to everyone. "Hey everyone its time to begin the proceedings."
"Thanks Silver." Sonic stated. "Well, let's do this."
As bells rang across the temple and incense smoke blasted from the chimneys. Both the remaining temple staff of twelve, and the guests gathered in the main hall where the cremated dead where going to be mourned and later have their ashes dispersed as per temple tradition. And because there is no room to bury so many dead all at once. The mourners sit and listen as Bunker steps up to deliver her funeral speech. Bunker herself looking like she's barely keeping it together and like she couldn't sleep at all for the past couple of days.
"Comrades we have come together today to mourn a great tragedy. Two hundred brave monks have laid down their lives to protect this temple and its people. These noble warriors have sacrificed everything to protect us. And now we must ensure that sacrifice must not be in vain. I believe that we must continue being vigilant even after such a loss. Because our enemies will take advantage of this moment of loss and weakness to mount an attack...
Tails asks one of the monks if such a thing could happen which is confirmed by said monk.
Monkey adds. "Don't underestimate the Iron Dominion. There's a reason they are the major power in Chun-nan nowadays. That and because the other houses are too busy bickering amongst themselves to pull off an united front."
As Bunker's speech ended the jar of ashes was picked up by the matron and everyone left for the highest point in the temple. A large open air rooftop area where they could see the mountains surrounding them. As Bunker opened the jar and prepared to disperse the ashes. The jar was shot to pieces by a long range blast of energy much to everyone's surprise and horror.
"Enemy attack?!" Dulcy yelled as she and Monkey ran thru the crowd to cover Bunker who was in a panic over the mysterious assailant.
"But how? Who could have fired at this range?" Monkey asked.
"Is it the Iron dominion?" Sonic asked as Tails and Madoka also began looking for intruders with Tails having taken to the skies.
"Nya-heh-heh! You thought it was Eggman! But it was me! Hime! The cat girl gloats as her giant head looks down at the entire temple in holographic form.
An utterly annoyed Sonic comments. "Ugh, haven't you screwed us over enough you little brat?"
"Oh I haven't began to screw you over yet! Nya-hi-hi-hi-hi-hi!" The hologram then disappears as the remnants of the temple.
"So what now?" Silver asks.
"The answers obvious." Sonic replies confidently. "We've got a giant mecha. Let's get Knuckles over here and smash whatever that cat girl is planning!"
Tails who is fiddling with his Miles electric replies. "Way ahead of you partner. Huh? Out of range?"
Sonic and Madoka look on with concern while Bunker states that its common for wireless devices to not have access in this part of Chun-nan.
Tails counters with. "The Miles electric has a satellite up link. Even if we are in the middle of nowhere. The Miles electric should still have access to communications."
As dread mounts inside the temple Monkey remarks that the best thing they can do for now is investigate the situation. And thus he and Sonic leave to search out the area and find whoever shot down the ash jar. Sonic using his speed to cover the ground. And Monkey using a magic nimbus cloud to fly in the sky. It wasn't long until they found until they found the enemy. A large army of Skullraisers that was having problems moving around the dragon's road and tall mountains. Much to Hime's frustration as the Iron Dominion's massive siege engines and wheeled vehicles are being dragged and pushed by hand by Skullraisers over the rough terrain.
"Seriously! How can you have this much trouble crossing a mountain?" Hime asks as her cronies struggle to get men and material over the ancient walls. Unaware that they are being watched.
"And that's why we made our base here." Monkey commented to Sonic as the two watched Hime scream at the wind.
"No hovercraft of planes?" Sonic asked.
"Nah, Conquering Storm was always old fashioned like that. She also really loves siege engines for some reason. Still there are a lot of foot soldiers out. Isn't that Hime person worried about wearing her troops to thin?"
"Nope, as far as can tell. For Hime all her troops are completely expendable slave mooks. Remember the roboticizer Monkey?"
Yeah, that thing didn't work. All it caused was some people to explode and that's about it."
"Well somehow Hime has a way to do something similar. That's what she did to Porker too."
After a moment of silence from Monkey Khan he tells Sonic that they should head back to the temple and think of what to do.
Back at the temple everyone gathered to strategize over what to do. Clearly outnumbered and probably outgunned by the cycles cult. And after getting caught up with the whole situation began planning their next move. Essentially presenting their plan like one of Sly Cooper's big heists with photos and Tails serving as the narrator.

"The plan is simple enough. We don't have the resources of manpower to hold the line. And we cannot ask for reinforcements because something is disrupting communications. Thankfully we can withdraw due to the underground network of tunnels inside Dragon's road serving as a maze. We will serve as a distraction while the remaining monks escape while removing as much of Hime's combat strength as possible. Thankfully all that Hime has is numbers not strategy. So taking out her forces will be the easy part as long as they don't surround us.
After that we will escape to Do Long village and use the starpost there to escape. Meanwhile the temple will be set up to explode so when Hime comes to claim it she will get nothing but failure for her troubles. Meanwhile the monks will escape by the starpost is Hon Chin village.
Okay you've got your roles now let's get to work!"
Before leaving Himeko briefly stops Sonic to explain a few things about Skullraisers. "You know Sonic. There is someone who broke out of Hime's control before."
"Really?" Sonic replied with a mix of hope and excitement.
"Yes this girl broke free thru sheer willpower. That's why i'm telling you this. So that you don't just give up on Porker."
"What was her name?"
"Gekkou Jo. A dragonkin from the moon."
"Thanks Himeko. Shouldn't you be fleeing as well? After all you're just a photographer."
Himeko simply smiles and retorts. "All my life i've been protected. Now I have the power to fight and protect others. That's why I took his offer. So I could protect her." Sonic simply looked at Himeko with confusion to which Himeko simply stated. "You'll understand someday." And left on her way.
As she ran thru the hallway Himeko thought to herself with grim determination. "Chikane-chan. You've taken this burden for far too long. That's why I will fight too. Even if I must use the devils power to do so."
Dragon road ...again
Hime meanwhile was still trying to move her siege engines and armor. Clearly regretting her actions as she sits alone in a large stone as her minions struggle to follow orders. "Seriously this is getting nowhere..."
A familiar voice then spoke up to Hime. "Well I see you're doing well."
"Rin..."
Rin appears behind Hime like an invisible ninja. "You don't seem to happy. Considering that I have to babysit your sorry hide. Oh perhaps it's because of another failed scheme?"
"It's not failed you creep!" Hime screams at the ninja frog who simply leapt out of the way and vanished. "Still... How am I going to get these servants to operate these machines?"
"How about we help you with that?" A young boys voice replied.
"Oh that would be just lovely!" Hime replies as she stands up.
Then the siege engines and tanks suddenly gain a green glow and are lifted into the air as they are crushed and compressed into a ball and slammed into the ground where they explode in a fiery mess. Creating chaos and taking out a good mess of the Skullraiser troops in the explosion. Leaving Hime stunned silent at the sight before turning to see Sonic, Madoka, and Silver facing of against her.
"Its you! Sonic the hedgehog! Madoka Kaname! And... er... Pothead the porcupine?"
"Its Silver! Silver the hedgehog!" Silver reacts violently to Hime's confusion.
Hime then bites back in anger stating. "Then get a damn haircut you hippie! That thing looks like a marijuana leaf!"
"I was born with this hair you bitch!"
Sonic and Madoka look at Silver and then at each other with Sonic saying. "He was born with it?"
And Madoka commenting with a look of genuine sorrow and pity. "How unfortunate to be born with such a hairdo. It's worse than if your parents decided to name you Banjo or something."
Silver who at this point is utterly embarrassed screams out. "Can we just get this over with?!"
To which Hime remarks. "Very well." As she snaps her fingers and her Raisers whom a good number of them are now both injured and on fire. Stand up and get ready for battle. The army charges and according to plan. Sonic, Madoka, and Silver withdraw much to Hime's surprise. "What are you doing?! Fight me dammit!"
Shujin temple, Medic room
Himeko is watching as a couple of monks are transferring Porker's unconscious body into a stretcher in order to move him into the underground tunnels.
"Okay we're ready Miss Himeko!" One of the monks replies as the duo begins to move Porker when the pig mobian suddenly gets up from the stretcher to everyone's surprise. Pulls out a sickle and decapitates both monks in a swift couple of movements. And then lunges at a distracted Himeko moving in for the kill only to get shot out of the way and into a wall. Where its revealed that Kagemusha ended up saving Himeko from Porker's attack.
"Focus Himiko! Didn't you say you wanted to fight by Kaon's side this time?" Porker then went off a window which Kagemusha then gave chase to as another monk showed up to investigate the racket.
"What happened?"
Himeko simply said. "Just focus on evacuating. I'll be back with Porker."
"But?"
"Just do it!" Himeko yelled with a determined tone and expression that merely caused the monk to cave in and follow orders. While Himeko herself follows Porker thru the window and climbs up the scaffolding until reaching the temple's rooftop where she finds Porker and Kagemusha engaged in a fight. With Himeko being intercepted by Rin who fires a barrage of fireballs at her from the air before landing in the rooftop next to Porker.
"So this is what the little princess was up to." Rin remarks as she puts her hands on porker.
"Let Sonic's friend go!" Himeko screams as she rushes to fight the Blight amidst a surge of fire that tries to get in the miko's way. Forcing her to summon a barrier to protect herself.
"How about no?" Rin replies while she empowers Porker to the point where he can fight off Kagemusha. But in return his body begins to fall apart.
Himeko transformed into her Himiko the sun form and summons her driver the Amaterasu. A magical cello whose music dispels Rin's magic. Leading Kagemusha to push out Porker and fight Rin hand to hand with Himiko joining in soon after. The blight vanishes in an explosion of oil that covers the duo causing the clumsier Himiko to slip as Rin appears from a distance and fires a massive blast of fire at the duo that leads to multiple explosions.
As the temple burns Rin fires her tongue at Porker and seemingly swallows him whole much to the surprise of Himiko who merely thinks. "What now?" Rin then spits out a slimy Porker at Himiko at super sonic speeds which ricochets towards Kagemusha and then bounces back to Rin's mouth.
"Okay this is getting ridiculous!" Himiko spouts in frustration as she begins to play a song.
"No wait Himiko!" Kagemusha screams out trying to stop the miko. As Rin merely smiles and begins to croak a song in response and the fire around them begins to grow, intensify, and form into a sort of tunnel.
"Blight ninpo! Infernal gullet!" Rin then disappears as a massive flood of flames and oil consumes both Kagemusha and Rin washing them away in explosions as they are tossed down into the roof of the temple. While Rin gloats from above.
"You can't beat me! I have the high ground!"
"We'll see about that!" Himiko replied as she is forcefully restrained by her masked companion. "Hey what gives?!"
"Don't you see that this an obvious trap!" Kagemusha screams out as he spits out a smokescreen blinding Rin before ramming her with his Karasu machine transformation. Blasting the frog ninja with his beam attacks before disengaging and flying into the air. While Rin lands on the roof once more.
"So why don't you just dump your entire army inside the temple anyways? You can just teleport after all?" Kagemusha asks Rin as he launches several missiles which Rin slurps with her tongue and crushes.
Rin replies with. "It isn't all about killing your enemy. It's about inflicting terror and despair on your opponents." While firing oil bombs on the flying Kagemusha who dodges all the attacks.
"Or maybe you just suck at your job." Kagemusha replied as he launched more smoke which Rin countered with fire. When Himiko struck Rin's head from the back with her cello. Slamming her into the scaffolding while Kagemusha reverts to his normal form and land.
Himiko then screams out. "Spit out Porker! Now!" As she points her cello at the defeated Rin.
"Fine..." Rin then spits out Porker who transforms into a Skull raiser who strikes down the miko with a skull sickle. Kagemusha goes to aid Himiko but is stopped by Rin who uses her tongue to grab Kagemusha's legs and and toss him into the distance in order to prepare another attack. This time a power bomb from the roof of the temple onto the temple grounds. Crashing head first five floors. While Porker hacks apart Himiko who uses her Amaterasu to shield herself from the fierce attacks.
Porker is then struck by purple draconic fire from the sky which forces her to reel back in pain alongside with Himiko kicking her out of the way. And then attacked by another masked woman wielding a sword based driver.
"Kaon-chan!"
"Himiko are you all right?"
"Yes!"
Kaon looks at the transformed Porker with rage and powers up her sword until it glows crimson red. "Orochi style. Take no Mikazuchi!" Swinging down her blade and creating a massive shock wave that Porker tried to block with his sickle with exploded and threw him off the mountain.
Himiko rushed to Kaon to which the latter blushed expecting love and praise from the former. Only to be scolded much to her surprise. "Chikane-chan! I was trying to save that pig man!"
"Huh?" Kaon remarks in confusion.
Meanwhile Rin was flaming Kagemusha with her fire breath who was still buried face down in the dirt. After a few minutes of constant fire breath Rin finally stopped looking at the flames to make sure that the masked man was definitely dead. Only for Kagemusha to walk out of the flames unharmed much to the ninja frog's horror.
"How?" Rin remarks in shock as she is forced to step back.
"Because I am the devil." Kagemusha replies as he rushes to punch out Rin who counters with a punch of her own which Kagemusha catches with ease.
Rin fearfully demands to know. "Who are you?!"
To which Kagemusha merely states which a punch to face for emphasis with each phrase. "I am vengeance. I am the night. I am Hacker!" And finishing with a powerful uppercut that sends the ninja flying into the distance and crashing into the doors on the temple. Shattering the thick wood into splinters. As Rin tried to recover Kagemusha pulled out his Kurohane and activated his final move function as a bayonet energy blade begins to form around the gun.
"Final move! Mikazukizan!"
Kagemusha then rushes toward Rin and leaps into the air as he uses a rolling slash attack with a crescent moon aura that strikes the Blight and causes her to explode on the spot. "Game over man, Game over." And then heads to the rooftop where Himiko and Kaon were last seen.
Kaon was still getting an earful from Himiko much to her shock.
"I was just trying to protect you Himeko!" Kaon said to Himiko who merely pouted and looked away.
"That's what you always say Chikane-chan." Himiko replies as Kaon breaks down and falls on her knees in despair.
"What happened here?" Kagemusha asked.
"Listen to this Tsurugi! Chikane smacked Porker into the mountain over there! Even though I was trying to restore him to normal!"
Kagemusha commented. "And what makes so sure that it would have worked? Frankly the only reason that Gekkou got restored was..."
"BAKA!" Himiko screams out interrupting Kagemusha mid speech.
"Besides, shouldn't you be heading back to the others? They should be worried about you." Kagemusha explains without skipping a beat.
"Oh yeah!" Himiko replies. "Sorry Chikane-chan i've got to go! Chikane then heads back to the window where she came. Leaving Chikane alone.
Kagemusha then merely states. "Well this place is going to explode. So I suggest you take your teenage angst session somewhere else Chikane." And leaps away from the temple. Running away into the mountainside.
Chikane is then left alone amidst the howling wind and bitter tears muttering to herself. "They group up so fast..."
Dragon road, yet again...
Sonic and company are trying to get away from the Skullraisers. As Sonic, Silver, as Madoka head thru a narrow pass. Monkey and Dulcy drop giant boulders on the advancing forces. Who merely climb over the rocks and bodies of their compatriots.
"Persistent little louts!" Dulcy exclaims as she and Monkey are forced to retreat as well.
The two flyers pick up the trio and escape during the confusion meanwhile Hime and the Skullraisers continue to give chase all the way to the temple seemingly unaware that their targets had long slipped from their grasps. As the still hundreds large army entered the gates of the temple. Hime looked at the abandoned temple and mused at the situation.
"Odd, resistance is lacking." The cat girl remarked as she entered the empty halls of the temple. "I guess the mole was more successful than expected."
That is when Rin rises from the ashes coughing out ashes from her mouth.
"Oh Rin you're here! What's the situation?" Hime asks of the ninja girl.
"The mission is a failure. The monks escaped. And the mole is missing." Rin reports.
"What?!" Hime screams out as the entire temple self destructed on top of them. Collapsing the whole building on top of the army as the whole place implodes. And after a few minutes of the temple collapsing and the dust settled. Hime and Rin crawl up from the debris bruised and battered from the destruction with all the other remaining Skullraisers seemingly crushed by the explosion.
"Shit! My head!" Hime complains as she rubs her head. Noticing streams of red coming from her head. "Is this blood?! I'll kill that damn hedgehog for this!"
Rin asks. "What now?" Only to notice a third figure rise up from the wreckage.
"Ow! What the hell?! Who set the building to explode?" Kaon complained as both she and Rin and Hime notice each other in an awkward moment of silence for each other. And after a few seconds slowly back off from each other before running away.
Do Long village
At long last Sonic and company reach the tiny farming village and its starpost facility in order to escape and get home. Where they heard the news that the monks escaped alongside Himeko and that Porker was lost much to everyone's chagrin.
"So I guess its time for you to go." Dulcy remarks to Sonic, Tails, and Madoka.
"Yep! Are you still going to stick around Silver?" Tails asks to the younger hedgehog.
"Yeah after all that's happened the monks here are going to need help." Silver replies.
"Well this has been a hot mess!" Sonic screams out in frustration. "I only hope the others have had better luck on their missions."
As the Resistance trio headed towards the starpost Silver activated the console and the device activated. Transporting the trio back to Westside island. Once it was over Dulcy remarked that it was time for them to head to the rendezvous point with the others.
As night falls on the mountainside Hime and Rin finally meet up with Porker and manage to teleport away unaware that Metal Sonic was flying above them heading towards the Iron Kingdom to investigate current events. As Metal overlooked the area he noticed the destroyed temple and was surprised at the places destruction. And is surprised at seeing the situation.
"The Shujin temple was destroyed?! How?!"
Metal Sonic then rushed to the Iron kingdom at top speed.
