February 13 2024, Operation Unmasked world
Sayaka Miki is minding her own business dancing in one of the empty rooms in Mikitihara middle school to the beat of a J-pop song. Enjoying herself when a panicked Homura Akemi busts open the door and shuts and locks it in a panic. Much to Sayaka's shock and embarrassment.
"Transfer student! What the hell are you doing here?!"
"Miki Sayaka! You have to help me!" Homura screams at the bluenette as she grabs and shakes her like a bottle in an absolute panic.
"What the hell gives transfer student?!" Sayaka asks as she tries to calm down the unusually panicked devil.
"Someone is trying to kill me!"
Sayaka merely looked annoyed and began to leave the room essentially saying. "Your point being?"
Homura remained silent for a moment when a series of explosions and screams rocked the entire buildings as the nearby wall collapsed on itself covering the entire room with dust.
"What is this?!" Sayaka screams out in between fits of coughing and wheezing.
"What is this?" A mysterious voice claimed. "His word was the roar of thunder. His glance was the look of the eagle. His might was the strength of the kraken. His guile was the cunning of the wulfen. His temper was the death of magical girls. His name is Kagemusha. And he is the slayer of gods!"
"Wait, what?" Sayaka blurted before being shot up into Swiss cheese by Kagemusha and beam attacks. Leaving her so hideously mutilated that her body has to be censored via pixelation.
Homura is forced to run away again while muttering. "Sayaka... Why are you so weak?!" While an unaware Kyoko Sakura passes her by completely oblivious to what is happening around her as she is eating a riceball.
That's when Kagemusha shows up and looks at Kyoko head on who merely thinks that the masked man has a cool costume.
"Thank you."
"So what's happening?" Kyoko asks as she finishes off her riceball.
"School fire. You should get all your friends and classmates to evacuate the building."
Kyoko responds with a curious. "If there is a fire. Then why is the alarm not going off?"
Kagemusha merely states with a. "Good point." And looks around for a fire alarm switch. Finds one and pulls it. Triggering the alarm while getting a thumbs up from Kyoko as she runs off on her own way.
As time passes the entire school ends up evacuating as the school goes up in flames from the battle that goes on inside. Kyoko meets up with Mami who ends up asking the former a million questions.
"What's happening Kyoko?"
"I don't know either senpai! All I know is that someone said that a fire was happening in the school."
Sayaka then showed up. Her uniform torn and battered. But her body completely fine to the shock of Mami and Kyoko.
"Miki-san what happened to your uniform?"
"That doesn't matter! Kyoko-chan, Mami-san, have any of you seen Madoka?"
Both of them tell Sayaka that they haven't seen the pink haired girl all day. And have no idea where she is. Which leaves the bluenette frustrated.
Madoka meanwhile is alone in the large crowd looking for her friends when she is met by Kirika.
"Hey! Madoka Kaname right? Can I talk to you for a minute?"
The fight between Kagemusha and Homura continues as the latter evades the former and former hijacks the schools PA system to deliver a speech.
" You've had a bad day right Homura? I know I am, I can tell. You had a bad day and everything changed. Why else would you dress up like a stripper pigeon? You had a bad day. And it drove you as crazy as everyone else... Only you won't admit it! You have to pretend that life keeps making sense. That's there's some point to this meaningless struggling! God! You make me puke!"
"Who are you?"
"I mean what is it with you? What made you what you are? Girlfriend killed by the mob maybe? Parents carved up by some mugger? Something like that I bet. Something like that."
"Shut up! What do you know?"
"Something like that happened to me too you know. I... i'm not sure exactly what it was. Sometimes I remember it one way. Sometimes I remember it another... If i'm going to have a past, I prefer it to have multiple choice!"
"..."
"But my point is... My point is. I went crazy. When I saw what a black awful joke the world was. I went crazy as a coot! I admit it! Why can't you? I mean, you're not unintelligent! You must see the reality of the situation! Do you have any idea how many times we've come close to World War Four over a flock of geese on a computer screen? Do you know what triggered the last world war? Doge coins. Doge coins! It's all a joke! Everything anybody ever valued or struggled for... Its all a monstrous demented gag! So why can't you see the funny side?!
"Shut up!" Homura goes berserk as she pulls out a machine gun and destroys the entire room she's in a hail of bullets. Destroying the room and leaving it in shambles including the PA speakers. And continued firing until she ran out of ammunition leading in to a moment of eerie dead silence.
"Y'know, it's funny. This situation. It reminds me of a joke." Kagemusha remarks before blasting Homura in the back with a shotgun before the demon gets a chance to retaliate with Kgaemusha continuing his speech as he continuously reloads and fires at Homura's arms, legs and chest. Making sure to keep her alive and conscious.
"See there were these two guys in a lunatic asylum. (bang) And one night they decide they don't like living in the asylum anymore. (bang) They decide they're going to escape! So, like, they get up on the roof. (bang) and there just across this narrow gap, they see the rooftops of the town. (bang) Stretching away to freedom. Now the first guy he jumps across with no problem. (bang) But his friend, his friend darend't make the leap. (bang) Y'see... Y'see, he's afraid of falling. So then the first guy has an idea... He says, Hey I have a flashlight with me! I'll shine it across the gap between the buildings. You can walk across the beam and join me! But the second guy says, What do you think I am Crazy? You'd turn it off when i'm halfway across!"
As Homura moans in pain broken and crippled. Kagemusha looks at her and merely states. "Wow, tough crowd." In a deadpan manner before leaving her laughing all the way.
Chapter 18: Underdogs
Arc... Gattai... Systems designed to surpass Gods and devils. Originally the Arc system was meant to stand alone as the key to defeating the Great Calamity. But an act of betrayal made this impossible. instead. By combining using forms known as machines multiple drivers could evolve and become a more powerful giant. This traitor due to their actions has had their name stripped from history and speaking about them is a taboo topic around the populace. In order to compensate the art of Gattai was developed
It is now the year 8932 of the second history. And thanks to this advancements made many years ago. The galaxy is heading towards a period of revolution. A new era is dawning. But what this new era entails is still unclear,
Jul 5 s.h. 8932, No man's land, Gigalopolis
No man's land. A part of Mobius known as an irradiated desert where no life can flourish. In its sands lie the domed crystal city of Gigalopolis. A settlement that studies the mysteries of the area that have been lost to time. Famous for its crystalline towers and advanced high rises. Its massive overhead dome keeps radiation out and maintains a stable temperature and atmosphere in the otherwise arid desert. And poisonous nuclear fallout. And a common sight is the observational drone analyzing the skies above and taking samples of the outside for further research.
Amy Rose and Cream the Rabbit were in the city looking for one of their fellow members of the Resistance. The cyborg squirrel Shortfuse who was supposed to be staying in the Radioactive spider museum at the northern edge of the city.
"Chao..." Cheese yelps out as he floats unevenly around Cream.
"It's all right Cheese." Replied Cream trying to calm her friend down. "
Amy looks around and remarks. "Maybe we should leave Cheese in a Chao garden. Apparently Chao are sensitive to their surrounding areas or so i've heard. And nuclear fallout can't be healthy." Cheese responds by nodding against the suggestion.
"Its alright." A bright green canary remarked to the two girls and the chao in red clothing with earrings called Tekno. "The dome is perfectly safe. It can withstand a point blank explosion with a force of over 210 terajoules."
Amy and Cream look at Tekno confused as she explained the situation. "Oh sorry, i'm Tekno the canary. A researcher in the Radioactive spider museum."
"Do you know Mr. Shortfuse?" Cream replies.
"Oh i'm his mechanic. And his girlfriend as well."
Amy, Cream, and Cheese scream in shock at the revelation of the situation.
Marker sushi restaurant
Kyubey and a new Blight accompanying him enter the sushi store. The Blight is an aqua colored tall lanky skinny Black widow based creature with a tiki face with its right arm being a large sword spike and its left arm a gun with eight legs. The blight followed silently alongside its master as Kyubey ordered a set of California rolls for himself. And an Edo style set for his underling while the rest of the customers looked in slight concern at the odd new arrivals.
"This is good." Kyuubey commented as he ate his roll as the two looked at the latest video of virtual idol Lola. When the duo is interrupted by a trio of middle aged human men in business suits and obscuring glasses.
"You..." The man in the front. A pudgy short man named Honda asks the duo asked the duo. "Who are you? Why do you disgrace the spirit of sushi?"
The store begins to stir as people begin to worriedly say sushi police in hushed tones.
"I said why do you disgrace the spirit the spirit of sushi?! Your companion clearly respects sushi!" Honda then takes some of the blight's sushi and eats it with a smile on his face only to be brutally tackled by the Blight into a wall. Complete with a brutal roar.

Spinner then gouges one of the other members of the sushi police with his blade causing his guts to spill out, And used his grappling arm to crush the third member which was also a robot. Crushing it to pieces and causing it to explode.
Honda was furious at seeing his comrades brutally killed off and fired off a burst of his aura that threw off the customers in the store. As Kyubey and Honda exchanged blows with each other inside the restaurant. Spinner went outside to rampage firing at buildings using her blaster cannons implanted in each arm. Causing a riot and causing the authorities to step in.
Tekno is noticed about the attack in the restaurant and drags Amy and Cream into the situation. They find Spinner fighting the police locked in a shootout. With the blight slaughtering cops left and right with ease. As they are forced into retreat.
Amy complains. "Why are cops so freakin useless when it comes to dealing with monsters?"
Cream remarks. "Yet they are so efficient in beating up black people."
"Where do you hear that stuff Cream?"
"The news Miss Amy."
Tekno stops the duo and remarks. "All right girls get ready to fight!" As she tossed as earring at Spinner to catch her attention which exploded in her face. Creating a sizable blast and getting the monster robots attention.
Inside the restaurant Honda and Kyubey are still duking it out with Kyubey getting the upper hand with an explosive lade punch that knocks Honda to the registry counter. Followed by vulcan fire that leaves him and the counter a bullet ridden mess as the employees flee for cover and safety. As Kyubey turned back the sushi policeman got up wounded and bleeding and boasted.
"Are you done yet blasphemer?" As Honda exploded in a burst of amazing power.
"I just wanna eat my damn rolls asshole." With Kyubey roaring with an equal surge of power with the aura of a sushi box and a fighter jet appearing behind each respectively.
Honda screams out "SUSHI KICK!" As he leaps into the air to perform a rider kick.
While the jet behind Kyubey circles around him and lands in his shoulder before he says. "Final move! Suicide run!" Before activating a purple mahou driver with its respective key. Which leads to the jet to blast off Kyubey's arm like a Rider punch colliding with Honda's Sushi kick. Overloading Honda and causing his body to break apart and explode leaving only his severed head intact.
"That was for my rolls bitch." Kyubey remarks as he leaves the store.
Outside the store Amy and Spinner were engaged in brutal combat with Amy's Piko Piko hammer matching Spinner's arm blade and grapple claw blow for blow. Until the two break off with Cheese flying into Spinner's face and electrocuting her while Amy goes for the legs causing the monster to trip but not fall due to its very long arms supporting her body.
"How annoying!" Amy replied as she went for the head. Smacking it dead center from the back and causing the Blight to fall.
And that's when Kyubey showed up. Carrying the severed head of Honda with him. He quickly noticed what was happening as he tossed the policeman's head at Amy who simply batted it away with her hammer into the distance as he tried to run away with Cream ordering Cheese to tackle the incubator causing him to crash into the ground. With Spinner starting to get up only for Amy to smack her in the head again as the police swarmed the group and arrested Kyubey and Spinner.
"Well shall we go?" Tekno remarks as the group leaves the villains to their fate. Unbeknownst to to the group Kyubey had summoned a giant mecha on a delayed summon which isn't noticed by anyone as he is being processed by the authorities and being sent to jail.
Radioactive spider museum
Amy, Cream, and Cheese were soon introduced to a short tour of the museum by Tekno as they walked thru several of the major exhibits on the way to the back. Cream and Cheese looked particularly excited at it all. Witnessing the giant holographic dinosaurs. And an exhibit about the lost land of Arcadia. Amy herself was amused at Cream enjoying herself like a little kid and took pictures to send back to her mother Vanilla the rabbit who is back at home.
"Still you people really believe this whole Arcadia theory?" Amy asks Tekno.
Tekno replies. "Well some of the staff does. But honestly the legend does provide good business."
Cream looks at the older girls and asks. "What is this Arcadia legend?'
Tekno explains. "Well basically you've heard in school that Mobius used to have a much larger human population?"
Cream replied. "Well me and Cheese are home schooled, but yes. After the great war a large population left Mobius or decided to concentrate on Northamer."
"Well there was another civilization of humans that lived in the No man's land which predated that."
"So what happened?" Cream asked.
"Well the agreed upon consensus is that they destroyed themselves with nukes and left the area barren." Tekno remarked with a sullen look. "Then again there's no physical evidence left of the Arcadian civilization. Only stories and rumors. As if someone wanted to erase them from history."
Amy looked at the giant red skinned muscular genie holding an atom commenting to Tekno. "Still... Do you have to be so stereotypical with the designs?"
"Well like I said. It's all about business."
The group eventually reach the back of the museum where they see a series of offices within the museum dedicated to research and a large sealed off arena where several doctors are observing a particular between several reprogrammed egg pawns in a pale blue coloration against a small robotic creature who is simply tanking all of their blows with no problem at all. The egg pawns beam shots simply glance off the robots armor as the little machine owns them with arm mounted lasers which demolish the pawns with ease.
One of the scientists remark. "The metagal armor is impressive as always."
With a second one remarking. "Its a shame that Doctor Tekno cannot construct any more of it.
"Oh crap!" A third scientist remarked as the group noticed Tekno alongside the other girls.
"So how's Shorty doing?" Tekno asks seemingly ignoring the comments of her fellow scientists.
"Doing just fine Tek!" The silver plated robotic squirrel replied as he walked into the conversation. The short even for a Mobian squirrel creature. Introduced himself to the new guests. "So girls its been a while huh?" Giving a thumbs up as he retacted his arm cannons to show his red painted hands which alongside his boots and gauntlets and his head crest were painted red and are the only remainders of his origins as a red squirrel as well as shoulder pads and highlights with warning labels aesthetic choices made by Tekno when she redesigned Shortfuse's armor after the two escaped from Eggman years ago.
With Amy replying with a smile. "Yeah Shorty. Sorry that you're still stuck in that metagal shell."

"At least I can eat and poop now. Which is miles better than when I started." Shortfuse remarks about his situation. Where as a badnik he was basically living off solar power and somehow didn't need to go to the bathroom. A fact that puzzles both him and Tekno to this day.
As the scientists went on their way to review the data and Shorty went along with the girls who ended up explaining to both him and Tekno what was happening and how Shorty was needed. Shorty was forced to deny the request as both he and Tekno led the group to the latter's lab where she was working on a new upgrade much to the surprise of Amy and Cream.
"A gigantification protocol?" Amy and Cream both react in surprise at hearing the news for the first time. Completely taken aback at hearing it.
"Yup! Originally it was going to be used to just blitz the Egg citadel. After all a giant indestructible kaiju rampaging in Eggman's front door would take the winds off Eggman's conquest real quick. But it looks like with these giant robots popping up everywhere we're going to need some extra help." Tekno muses.
"And how long until its ready?" Amy the pink hedgehog asks while looking at the data. Although not really understanding most of it.
"Oh it's pretty much done." Tekno replies. "All we need is some live testing and once everything is all clear we will be finished over here."
Warning alarms then blare out all across the museum as one of the scientists runs towards the group with Shortfuse noticing that the security alert has been tripped. And the scientist informing them that a pair of unidentified giant robots have pierced the barrier and are attacking the city. Machines that Amy and Cream recognize as part of the Calamitous ones. A Wicca Alpha and Wicca Beta respectively.
With Amy remarking. "Seriously for a group that's supposed to be themed around demons. Why do they have so many giant killer robots? I'm pretty sure this is a violation of villain organization laws."
Calamity castle, Throne room
In the throne room meanwhile. The hooded magical girl Kuro. And the genius loli Touka Satomi are watching the current situation in a large array of screens that let them watch their forces movements all over Mobius. While a random Skullraiser in the back seems to be looking around for something.
"Say Touka." Kuro remarks. "That pink rat thing has a point. If we are thematically a demonic army. Why do we use robots anyway?"
Touka simply sighs in annoyance and explains. "Blame Hime for that. She's basically hogging all the demonic stuff for herself."
"So its all about jurisdiction issues huh?"
"More or less. Kind of a pain running an organization when you don't really have any leadership or chain of command.
"Speaking of which the Great Calamity has been awful quiet lately." Kuro remarks as the two begin to look around the throne room only to notice that it is empty aside from the Skullraiser whom the duo calls to attention. "Minion have you seen our master around?"
The Skullraiser simply states. "The Great Calamity is gone sirs."
Kuro simply states in disbelief. "The fuck?"
Back to Gigaopolis
The Wicca mechs head to the police station where Kyubey and Spinner are currently breaking out in a literally explosive manner. Blowing up the stations windows and doors and jumping out of the blast as screams of panic fill the air.
Kyubey after landing remarks. "I've got to admit. This is pretty cool." As he launches a couple missiles at the police station for good measure. Blowing up the giant badge and causing it to crash in the ground in the process as the duo jump into their giant robots. Spinner in the Alpha and Kyuubey in the Beta.
Shortfuse and Amy ran thru the streets with Shorty asking the latter to use her hammer on him. Amy obliges, swinging for the fences and tossing him into the the air where he activates his gigantification program by pressing a button in his chest armor. Which doesn't work much to the squirrel's horror. He presses again, and again in desperation as he ends up crashing into the ground again and straight into the path of the Wicca Beta whom unwittingly crushes the squirrel underfoot without noticing before the device activates and Shortfuse grows to a gigantic height tripping Kyubey into the ground.
"Behold! For it is I Shortfuse the Cybernik! Originally a young idealistic squirrel. My life changed forever when I was captured by Dr. Eggman and forced into a badnik shell composed of metagal in an attempt to create the ultimate super soldier! But somehow I managed to retain my free will and escape and now I fight evil using the very technology that was meant for evil!"
Kyubey armed and pointed all of his mechs weapons at the Cybernik who was still shorter than the Alpha and Beta and stated. "And now you're going to die. You Kamen Rider wannabe." And fires multiple salvos of missiles, Gatling gun fire and a powerful chest mounted plasma flame straight at the squirrel for a good minute and a half. Catching the attention of Spinner whom Kyubey orders to attack. The Blight firing the Alpha's compliment of arm and knee mounted laser barrages at Shortfuse as well.
As the carnage and destruction the Calamitous ones are shocked to discover that aside from leaving massive collateral damage in their wake. Shortfuse is completely unharmed in any capacity to Spinner's confusion and Kyubey shock.
"What the shit just happened?! What the fuck are you made off?!" The incubator replies having a mental breakdown.
Shortfuse curtly replies with. "Metagal. Strongest metal in Mobius."
"You should be dead you metallic midget!" Kyubey rants as he tries to bash the squirrel in the head with an overhead strike only for his mechs arm to completely break apart unable to deal with the metagal's sheer toughness.
Shortfuse comments. "Hey there's no need to be racist!"
Kyubey having had enough of this comments. "Racism is the right of a superior species!" And tries to kick Shortfuse in the balls only to have his right leg blow apart just like his arms and his mech fall into the ground.
Spinner meanwhile was more tactical using his lasers to aim for for the eyes and joints of the Cybernik. And seemingly had more success at the very least slowing down Shortfuse and driving him to use his lasers which end up being less effective than the Alpha's massive barrage. To the point that Shorty is put on the defensive. Amy meanwhile is on the ground and forced into cover after deflecting a beam with her hammer.
Hiding behind a flipped over car the pink hedgehog comes up with a plan contacting both Tekno and Shorty over the details.
Shortfuse shrinks down to normal size despite the laser fire and heads towards Amy's position avoiding and tanking shots while Amy heads into her position. Readying her hammer and taking aim at the giant robot.
"Allright you creep! Play ball!" Amy then uses her hammer to bat Shortfuse into the Alpha's chest at supersonic speeds. Smashing open its chest plating and crashing into the cockpit grabbing into Spinner's head like a facehugger as the two fight for control for the Wicca Alpha. The duo fell off the cockpit and plummeted off a great height crashing into the ground with Shortfuse just shrugging the blow off and Spinner getting badly injured.
Spinner angrily tries to crush Shortfuse with her claw when Amy uses her hammer to smash her ribs. In retaliation Spinner tries to crush Amy with her blade which Amy dodges and then the hedgehog girls strikes the spider blight's back forcing the latter to drop the cybernik who uses his laser to destroy her left arm completely. Spinner backs away and fires off a spray of webbing at Amy and Shortfuse trapping them as she makes her retreat leaping away as she teleports away abandoning her mecha.
As the duo breaks out Kyubey escapes his mech and tries to call on Spinner for backup. Unaware that he's been ditched he walks around until the sound of shots being fired break the silence as he realizes that he has been shot and is bleeding.
A trio of policeman armed with high powered handguns take aim at Kyubey seeking revenge for his actions. Opening fire and riddling him with bullets until he is lying on the floor in a pool of his blood as the officers surround him. Only for a portal to scoop him up.
Radioactive spider museum
Back at the museum everyone is cheering on Shortfuse and Tekno as the heroes of the day. Even Amy can't help but remark on how amazing the gigantification system is.
"Wow Shorty! With your giant form we've got this war in the bag!"
Tekno holding a drink replies. "You can count on us! We'll give this alien demon bastards a whupping! Isn't that right Shorty?!"
"Yeah! Leave it to me!" Shorty replies as he proudly pounds his chest only for it to explode and the cybernik to be blasted several walls into the distance. As his friends rush to help him he notices something is wrong. "I think it's broken..."
"What's broken?" Cream asks.
"The gigantification program..." Shorty remarks sheepishly.
"WHAT?!"

: World war four is not a typo. There have been four world wars in the world of Madoka. The fifth one is also known as the unification war that happened during/post the magical girl war. And is the war that led to Earth being replaced.
: The Great Calamity being missing plot line comes from the fact that I forgot all about Omochao and that he was the host for the great calamity. So I needed an excuse for why he was gone all this time.
: And of course Giant Shorty had to break because an indestructible giant on the heroes side would make everything too easy. And metagal power creeping everything in the setting for laughs is too much.
