Jango properly salutes Touka and Nemu introducing himself to the two young girls as both groups met at the spaceports entrance. "Miss Satomi, Miss Hiiragi. I am Zero Commander Jango of the 17th elite division. This is Zero Commander Kagemusha of the Zero special division. We are here to escort you to the facility." Kagemusha looked away from the two little girls in annoyance. "Seriously? They are the ones?" The masked man complains as Touka gets angry at the remark and walks to the former while looking up to him, staring him down.
"Really? And what does an armed thug know about our work?" Kagemusha simply ignores Touka and heads back to the Jeep. Jango explains. "Kagemusha is actually one of the test pilots of the system. And has been involved in the system longer than you and I. He is essentially our senior even though we share the same rank." The trio also went to the jeep and drove off back down to nearby Yodda city. A Reibai settlement hidden among a massive forest. With houses and buildings built around and within the forest, grass, and stonework. And later on crossing into the nearby Windu lake. A massive lake at the bottom of a sloping cliff at the edge of the massive forest where the Reibai Research facility building is located. The facility itself being a series of building and complexes that surround the lake shore connected by high speed monorails.
The jeep entered the main building after passing clearance with Nemu looking on in amazement. And Touka bothering Kagemusha by asking. "Are we there yet?" Over and over again as a prank. At least until Nemu gets annoyed and slap her in order to shut up. As the group exited the car and entered the massive facility. Touka looked on at the facilities and looked rather impressed at the sight. To the point of eventually sneaking off the group as the others were being given a tour of the facility.
The rest of the group is continuing their tour in a combination small theater/rail ride. As the group was seated and secured they were shown a short movie. Unknown to Touka the rest of the group had noticed that she left. Jango wondered if it was a good idea to let her run around. While Nemu reassured everyone that she would be fine in a flat bored tone, seemingly more focused on the mountain of snacks she bought on the way in from the lobby.
The movie starts with Kagami Ichijin greeting the crowd to which Nemu notices that she is acting weird. Kagemusha explains that there was supposed to be a tour guide giving lines alongside the recording. Nemu then asks if this is going to happen every time they need to go onto a monorail. Giving Jango pause and Kagemusha remarking. "You know maybe we should rethink this whole guided tour thing." Nemu replies. "Or just put an employees only entrance?" With the masked man replying. "Maybe that would work too."
The movie then switches to a narration by a Richard Steven Horvitz as Invader Zim sound alike. Who begins explaining the current plot alongside bombastic orchestral music. "Welcome ladies and meat bags to operation, IMPENDING DOOM!" Nemu remarks. "Did the narrator just?" Only to be shushed quiet by Kagemusha who looks super into the movie. "Operation, IMPENDING DOOM! Is a full on offensive against Incubator territory in order to liberate the cosmos from their invasion." The picture then shows an incubator with several body parts with evil in them. "These EVIL fiends have violated the cosmos for generations. As they steal the souls of our youth turning them into monsters. Who are they? Why are they here? Are they agents of SATAN?!" The movie then shows a fat, bald, man painted red with devil horns. And sticking out his tongue while pulling out devil horns.
Meanwhile Touka finds herself completely lost eventually coming out from the rooftop where she ends up taking a gaze at the massive size of Windu lake. "Wow... This is actually impressive." Touka remarks as she notices that the sun is setting showing what seems to be a mix of a pinkish and blue sky as what seems to be one of two moons in the sky. "Still, where the hell am I?!"
Chapter 23 Lower decks
Arc... Gattai... Systems designed to surpass Gods and devils. Originally the Arc system was meant to stand alone as the key to defeating the Great Calamity. But an act of betrayal made this impossible. instead. By combining using forms known as machines multiple drivers could evolve and become a more powerful giant. This traitor due to their actions has had their name stripped from history and speaking about them is a taboo topic around the populace. In order to compensate the art of Gattai was developed.
It is now the year 8932 of the second history. And thanks to this advancements made many years ago. The galaxy is heading towards a period of revolution. A new era is dawning. But what this new era entails is still unclear.
Jul 5 s.h. 8932: El Seedy hole bar, Laputa shadowport. Former planet Reibai
"What's the password?" A strange voice behind a locked gate asks Iroha Tamaki as she and an aloof dark haired dragon kin girl in blue clothes are deep inside the basement of the seedy bar. Iroha replies with. "The password is always swordfish." There is a moment of tense silence to which Iroha's silent companion thinks to herself. "Swordfish? I don't get it." Then the gate opens and the voice tells the duo to proceed.
The place they were in was an underground bar inside an asteroid spaceport built amidst the wreckage of a destroyed planet. The planet Reibai had been destroyed around twenty years before the current date. According to the government the world itself was destroyed by an asteroid strike. A story that is considered a half assed cover story by most of the population. But irrelevant as the current IFS has ignored the system after its destruction. With the remaining planets becoming lawless havens for criminals, pirates, and rebels.
Inside the depths of the Seedy hole the duo ends up sitting on bar stools and ordering drinks. With Iroha ordering Tequila and her compatriot asking for milk. But leaves to another part once she is bothered by a drunk next to her. Said drunk being a large furry man on his tenth drink. "Hey you know about Chihuahua's? Well where did they come from? It's like nature's mystery. An adorable little mystery." The furry man then shows a tiny pug at the dragonkin who is just staring silently at her. All the while being picked up and held like a doll. "Hey Chico! Say the thing! Say the thing!" The pug then speaks out. "Sacame de las manos de este hijo de puta borracho!" To which the drunk says. "Good job Chico! I like Taco Bell too!" The dog remarks. "En serio. Mata este cabron. El no sera extranado." The dragonkin then leaves as the man and the dog look on before the former trips on himself and falls.
At that time Iroha is talking to her contact. An older and scarred Tsuruno Yui. Her current white haired appearance with a scarred missing eye is a disguise avatar skin. Staring at a cooling cup of green tea. Tsuruno seems lost in thought for a moment before noticing Iroha. And quickly sipping her tea in a hurry after noticing what is going on before getting to business.
"Thinking about the old days?" Iroha remarks with a smile as Tsuruno solemnly looks at her tea replying. "Yeah." Before giving Iroha a data drive. "Anyways, are you sure you want to try this? I mean you are trying to get inside the capitol city." Iroha takes the drive and with determination replies. "I have to. For Yachiyo's sake. After all I don't trust that man." "That Kagemusha guy? How come?" Tsuruno asked in visible confusion. "Wasn't he the one who lent you that ship and the gold robot?" "Yeah, but he's really suspicious if you ask me. I mean ever since he tried to assault Center he's changed somehow. I just can't help but think that he is doing some unspeakable evil right now."
At that time Kagemusha was in a karaoke bar in the depths of Neo Akihabara... Singing the theme song of Isekai Ojisan a private booth by his lonesome. And really getting into it. Singing it aloud with the energy of a pop idol. And dressed up like Konata Izumi from lucky star. With cheap blue wig on top of his mask and helmet and all.

When suddenly a worker who opened the door caught Kagemusha in the act. Grinding the scene to an awkward halt. And several moments of silence before he spoke. "Sir, your hour is up." Kagemusha calmly took out some cash and asked for an extension. Whom the lad agreed to. "By the way. You didn't..." "Oh don't worry. You're not the first guy to do this. Also we have a strict confidentiality policy." "Oh, thanks." After some more uncomfortable moments the worker left and the music began playing again.
Back in the seedy bar Iroha continues her remarks about Kagemusha with a serious pondering look and clasped hands. "Yes, who knows what malevolent schemes lie behind that mask." Tsuruyo just looks at Iroha with concern before the duo notice that the girl that came with the latter. "Hey where is the other girl?" The duo then notices that said girl has gone to fight in the local arena. "Oh, crap!" Iroha remarked as the fight was starting. And her dragonkin partner was being introduced by the announcer.

Gekkou herself was facing off against a mysterious being inside a sealed pressure suit which also served as a life support system. The squat stocky alien being who is half of Gekkou's relatively average height and slim figute sealed inside a grey NBC suit with a central control system in the chest. He stared off against the taller Gekkou and began to boast. "Greetings foolish ones! I am Essence Stealer! And I have come to enslave the mightiest warriors in the universe! And consume their essence!" In a shrill screaming tone that was the definition of pain itself.

"What the fuck is Gekkou doing?!" Iroha yells in horror. While Tsuruyo notices the alien that she is fighting. "What is a Kron doing here?" "A what?" Iroha asks in confusion. "Basically its an alien race whose composed of Boron." Iroha looks confused at Tsuruyo's explanation. "Basically you, I, and most organic life are composed of carbon elements. But a Kron is rare in that all life in their world is evolved from Boron based lifeforms." Iroha remarks. "Isn't Boron the stuff that is used in isotopes? How can life sprout from that?" "Its very, very, very rare. And the beings who evolve from such don't really leave their world often. Since Boranes tend to explode in oxygen." Iroha looked at Stealer with fear replying. "That alien can blow up?!" "Yeah usually banished Kron are given suits like that and chucked into space. Where they eventually die in one way or another. So its not normal for their kind to be in places like this."
As the duo was talking the fight between Gekkou and Stealer started. With the Kron summoning strange creatures from its shadow and controlling them. While Gekkou took out a simple blue bladed katana with a dragon head hilt and began slicing thru her foes. Dissipating them into ether, only to reform soon after. Stealer seemed jubilant and confident. While Gekkou stoically tore thru warrior and beast alike with skill and speed.
"Eeeh-he-he-he-heee! You truly are a worthy opponent! I will take your essence and turn you into my servant!" Essence Stealer gloated as she retracted her warriors and summoned instead a giant millipede with draconian features. Of course it breaths fire, and used said fire to cut off Gekkou's mobility. And made it so she was trapped by said fire leaving the swords woman backed into a corner. Before Gekkou countered by using a mahou key. The ice key which upon activating froze the flames, creature, and opponent. Before cutting the insect to pieces and pointing her blade into the control unit in her chest. Officially winning the match to the cheers of the crowd.
"Que rayos fue eso?!" The Spanish speaking pug remarked as his owner passed out from the alcohol. While Iroha and Tsuruyo ran to spirit away Gekkou as the girl was enjoying the cheers. All the while the Korn watched and plotted.
Later that day
Iroha and Gekkou returned to their ship. The Mikazuki, One of, and the largest of the old Four heavenly kings during the Magical girl war. Where she was met by two of her crewmates as she entered the crafts meeting room. A large elderly snow white furred Shiba Inu Anim with a sizable gut. Wearing a modified navy blue gi and sandals named Kon Konshuu who is essentially Iroha's number two on her unit. An old man by Anim standards who is just above 275 years old. A feat that even with modern medicine makes him a fairly elderly and wise man by his species standard. And Ashtamangala or just Ash, the short, squat, golden colored hovering service robot who served in the Magical girl war. Who in contrast to Kon's professional, and dedicated if somewhat perverted attitude was just watching television. Vegging out in an old sofa located in a corner of the room without giving the conversation much thought.

Iroha placed the data drive into the computer as data and maps involving Center's security field and how to sneak past the orbital defenses. Kon looked at Iroha working and asked. "So, you're doing this captain?" Ash who is watching television complains. "Is this really necessary? I mean our orders are to stand by until the operations in Mobius are done." The large dog agreed with the robot adding. "Doing this will just get that woman on our case." "Mami Tomoe huh?" Ash mentioned. "I know that the Puella Magi killed Yachiyo when she remained loyal to the senate." "Don't call them Puella Magi." Iroha reprimanded the old robot to which Ash bit back with. "You don't know those people. You're just blinded by your feelings towards Yachiyo." "What?!" Iroha screamed as the two prepared to go at it only for Kon to break it up by slamming the console. "Enough! Both of you!" Causing the bickering duo to simmer down.
Meanwhile Gekkou sequestered herself inside the garden. A part of the ship that serves as a combination greenhouse and relaxation spot. As the dragonkin meditated she remembered how she was given her mahou driver. A blue colored variant that she now has bound to her wrist. Gekkou herself was an orphan but was raised amongst the Vy clan and was brought up to be a mystic alongside them. Eventually the elder shaman gave her the driver and told her to go with Iroha. As she was a supposed child of destiny. With her mission being to save the universe from something.
"Gekkou my child." The words of the elder resounded in her mind. "Our people have been tasked to watch over this world by the gods. That is why i'm entrusting you with this device. This driver was entrusted to our clan for millennia. So that we one day could aid our goddess in the time of transformation. It is said that the one who wore this driver was known as her knight and protector. And that one day one of our people would become the guardian of her reincarnation. Or, at least that was what the dragonkin elders taught."
The surprisingly large garden complete with an artificial sky and sun. A deck of the ship that uses several artificial dimensions within the spaceship. With another young girl. This time a human with short bob cut black hair pulling a noodle cart towards Gekkou. "Hey children!" The girl cheerfully remarks as she puts on a white chefs coat and hat over her casual clothes as she begins to set up her store. Gekkou merely looks and then turns away. While the chef cheerfully looks around the garden as she looks for a place to set her cart.

Gekkou takes a look at Kazumi remembering that she was apparently some cook who joined the organization after helping Kagemusha in the past. Also for some reason she seems to have the same biological immortality that veterans of the final battle of Incubaa possess much like Iroha and Ash did. But apparently had never been to Incubaa. Gekkou considered Kazumi an oddball and an enigma. Not just because she just seems to do as she pleases with a smile on her face. Kazumi tries to chat to her quiet and serious companion, only for Gekkou to walk away much to her chagrin.
"Hey Gekkou wait up!" Kazumi pleads as she gives chase to the dragonkin as the whole scenario escalates into a chase all around the garden.
Meanwhile...
An unknown time and place ago there were two young children in a great desert on the foot of an ancient machine. The girl was holding a boy who was dying in her arms when suddenly the world lost color and everything around the boy and girl just froze. The girl confused about the situation looks around the frozen world only to a mysterious voice.
"Do not be afraid human." The voice uttered as then girl demanded to know who was doing this. Only for Professor Kagemusha in his Zero trooper armor set to appear from the ground itself like some sort of phantom much to the girls shock and fear. As the boy began to glow and suddenly open his eyes and regain consciousness. "How in the?" She asked as the mysterious masked man spoke up.

"It is fine. That boy is ill was he not?" The girl could only mutter "How?" As her compatriot looked on in confusion. "Emid, is that you? Strange, the pain, its gone. But how?" "It seems that the boy had a disease. Probably some mutated variant of tuberculosis or dysentery." The boy Iva Demilcol tried to get up only to fall on his knees much to the shock of Emid who couldn't believe her eyes. "The dragonmares..." Iva muttered to which Kagemusha stated. "Do not push yourself human. I may have destroyed the disease that was ravaging your body. But you are still weak. I suggest you take it easy. As for the drones I will be taking them with me." Snapping his fingers into the air, Kagemusha caused the dragonmares who were frozen in time to disappear to the shock of the children. Emid asked if Kagemusha was one of the ancients much to Iva's shock. Only for Kagemusha to deny it and state. "No, but we were made using similar methods. If anything I can be considered a sort of drone. Or a descendant of the technology used to create them." The children were shocked to hear as Kagemusha explained. Keeping his distance from the children all the time as he continued while seemingly hovering over the ground with ease.
The scene shifts back to the modern day as Kagemusha is awakened by the summons of Ashtamangala. As a holographic visage of the latter appeared next to him. As the duo overlooked a facility on the Pandora's towers that is working on a half finished belt." With the machine working on said belt showing screens with several emblems. Including the Reibai eye, Azel's emblem which is a golden humanoid face with a tentacle like hairstyle, The symbol of the ancients and blue energy being piped into the machines. Alongside pictures and data on Mobius, Nightopia, Earth, Arcadia, Morning land, Yuria, and both the worlds of 20XX and 21XX.
"Professor!" Ash reported, the concern in his voice being palpable even though he couldn't show much of an expression. "It seems that Iroha is planning to attack the capital." "Oh so Iroha is planning to strike Center?" Kagemusha remarks as he sits back on his chair. "I'm surprised that the Captain is trying to pick a fight with Mami. Considering all that has happened." "About that Professor. I believe that Iroha knows of the true plans of Pandora. And is looking to cut us off at the pass. Should I contact the other partners to get her to stop?" Kagemusha simply clutches his hands in a Gendo pose and says. "It's fine, let her do it." Much to Ash's surprise. "There's no need to worry Ash. After all even if she somehow manages to get thru the capitals security and kill Mami. It would mean little in the end."
Ash remarks. "I see, so that means that everything is ready in your end?" "All that's left is that the Blights get killed off. Once that happens the Calamity Homun will have no choice but to reveal herself. After all her goal is Madoka. And she is safely under our protection. Do not worry Ash. Just let her do what she wants for now. After all everything is going according to plan." Ash nodded in agreement as the signal was cut. The two have a secret communications line that no one else in the crew of the Mikazuki was aware of. Still the Professor internally muses if it was a good idea to do so. After all Ash did tend to be far too rigid when it comes to the plan. Whether its because of the robots age, or programming limitations of millennia long past.
Besides if for some reason Iroha manages to foil the scheme. Then good for her. After all Reibai do value successful betrayals. If a leader cannot manage their troops then they do not deserve to lead. Kagemusha himself did reach his post as a Karo due to his successful betrayal. And so did Mami and Barragan. So its only fair for Iroha to take a shot at power.
After Ash cut off. Kagemusha walked towards a tube where a silver mannequin was kept in stasis. "Ah, Sestren. You were a fool. But at least your single minded dedication will prove useful. After all it was that dedication that led to your death. And now with you and Azel gone we have managed to recreate the towers here in Mobius. And managed to pillage the Empire for all its worth thanks to that boy and the Seekers. All for the grand plan. The Universal Salvation Project is now in its final stage. Finally I will achieve our desire. The extermination of humanity. And our revenge on Madoka Kaname!"
Behind the Professor a pair of massive glowing golden eyes appeared with a powerful roar that caused the entire facility to tremble. "Go dragon! It's time to make that cow suffer! I may have been defeated 20 years ago. But this time, once the Pandora driver is complete. I will crush everyone who ever dared to stand in our way!" The eyes vanish as Kagemusha laughs with a cackling maniacal glee that echoes across the darkness.
The next day: Abandoned RRF bunker, Planet Onigashima
A group composed of Iroha, Gekkou, Ashtamangala and two other members of the crew Eddy Splithead. A large physically imposing half troll. With dark skin and bright orange dreadlocked hair. And a personality that is basically an alien Brawler from Akudama drive. A cheerful but not too bright blood knight who is just as adept with his fists than he is with his Tyrant blade. A massive two handed great sword of a beam saber that is as tall as he is as an ten foot tall, 400 pounds of muscle monster. And Misha Karelin a former Russian bear anim mercenary and sniper. Who lost an eye in battle and kept it like that as a trophy. A cold professional and efficient Brawn Hilda. Wearing a military camo suit with a yellow utility vest and armor. While Eddy wore green and orange clothing with a sleeveless black jacket that is somewhat too small and tight. Showing off his impressive physique.
"Damn aneki! So we are really doing this?" Eddy comments to Gekkou who stays silent as Ash guides the group thru the abandoned facility. With Misha responding. "Does it matter? Orders are orders after all." Eddy responds with. "Maybe for you Ruskie but i'm here because I lost to Aneki. I owe the girl."

The group pass thru dimly lit walkways into the depths of the base. Along the way they find several remnants of the Reibai civilization. Such as old anti Puella Magi/Incubator propaganda and the remains of a small traveling shrine. Where in the past there would have been a large tree in the center of the circular shaped shrine with four paths leading in and out of it. And surrounded by both foliage and stone totems and metalwork that represented the Koga and Iga clans. Whom the Reibai revived their teachings and used them in the Puella Magi war. Including masks and Kuroko Sumeragi. Black colored variants of the Sumeragi robots that Kagemusha used designed as tomb guards. And programmed to fight off and kill any intruders.
Later the group reaches its destination. A room where a starpost is located much to Gekkou's surprise. After reminding the group that it was the Reibai who made the starposts as a way to safely traverse the towers. Ash powers up the system. Using his security clearance to ensure that the Galats and Kuroko's don't activate and slaughter the group.
"So it was these aliens who made the Starposts." Misha marveled in awe as the device activated without any problems. "Still to think that all of this is still functional after decades of neglect. It's quite amazing!" Iroha remarked that this is nothing compared to the Ancients and Precursors. And that their machines would have lasted for millennia without any problem. Giving the mercenary bear further pause and awe. "According to legend it was the Precursors who created the Anim race and its offshoots. And that they were the ones responsible for spreading us across the stars." Eddy added. "I heard from grandmama that they also did the same to trolls, elves, dragons and all the magicfolk. And that we all come from a specific world. What was it again? Planet Dirt or something?" Misha remarks. "It's called Earth Cutthroat. And that stuff is just old myths."
Ash then speaks up. "Actually Earth really existed." Much to the shock of the younger members while Iroha looked away with melancholy. "I was there, that's where I met Iroha for the first time." Iroha adds. "It was nuked into oblivion. The only reason humans still exist is because a large group of them moved to space to escape the war before the nukes started flying." "Nukes, as in nuclear weapons? But that stuff is forbidden by law." Misha commented in shock. "After all nuclear weapons were banned after the Magical girl war to end the concept of mutually assured destruction."
As Ash is working on the final activation of the starpost he explains the story behind Earth's destruction. "You see after the war there was a split between humans who wanted to join the IFS and the Imperial faction. A group of rogue nations and groups who wanted to make a humanocentric Empire. But they blew themselves up using salt nukes for some reason." Eddy remarks. "Doesn't that sound suspicious." Iroha comments. "Yes, but Mami Tomoe was the one who wrote the official report. She was the sole survivor of the event so the senate only had her claims to go on. And according to her. The whole group committed mass suicide. Destroying the world in a final act of spite."
A portal finally opened to which Eddy commented. "Finally! Time to fight!" Before the group goes thru Iroha goes over the plan. Which is quite simple actually. Sneak up to the surface from the under city. Kill Mami Tomoe's supporters. And leave before said magical girl finds out and reacts. While Misha is doubtful of her chances. Gekkou and Eddy are actually eager to fight. As apparently Barragan Natch the ringleader and regent for life of the IFS. Was a powerful fighter known for killing his opponents. Even if he looked like a feeble old man. He was considered the true power and leader behind the group that killed the senators. And Mami is nothing more than a figurehead meant to keep order.
Planet Center's undercity, Sector 999.
The group teleported into Center's underworld. The planet itself is one giant city, build on top of other cities and long gone civilizations. The group exits the hidden bunker to which they warped to. And saw that they were some distance underneath the government district. Sector 999 was notorious for being a dumping ground of sorts. With large piles of refuse surrounding massive reinforced pillars that are interconnected by large arches that aided in support. Where people build housing and societies among the pillars that kept the upper city from collapsing and the arches serving as bridges and connections between the pillars.
As the team went across the underground. Keeping to the shadows to avoid the many criminals and occasional Guardsmen patrol. "This place is a mess." Gekkou remarked as the group headed to the smuggler's district. A large neon lit market full of intergalactic contraband of all kinds. From ancient Incubator texts to an open auction where slaves were being trafficked and sold. Although Gekkou, Eddy and even Misha wanted to do something. Ash kept the group on track. Bluntly stating that not only would they get caught and probably killed. But reminding the group that the reason things are like this is due to the neglect of the ruling powers. As while the poor underground districts always had it rough. At least back during the rule of the senate the place wasn't a wretched hive. And that the underground is basically a giant roach motel for criminals and dissidents. A fact made clear when they find a street lined with the corpses of crucified rebels in various states of death and decay which are kept on display and under armed guard to ensure they stay there. The streets dyed in the colors of different types of blood and fluids.
The group reached their destination. A massive elevator complex controlled by the mob. "So what now?" Misha asks as Iroha points to a disheveled looking rabbit cat child thing with black and white fur begging for change using his hat to collect the change. Iroha slips several bills into the furry lad's cup and asks. "You must be the smuggler right?" The smuggler asks. "Who wants to know?" As he counts the money. Iroha states we need to get topside. There's more where that came from." Eddy and Misha meanwhile are discussing if this is a good idea or if the guy is going to rip them off or sell them out. "I heard that you know." The smuggler bitterly stated. "Don't worry i'll get you thru. I may be down on my luck but even I have my pride." The smuggler puts on his tattered blue hat with a Pac-Man face and leads them to the secret passage.
"You know I used to be a hero once." The smuggler monologued. "A video game star. But now its all about big titty ladies with guns." As the smuggler uses the money to both pay off the guards to let the group thru as well as buying a pack of cheap cigars and hard liquor. The smuggler whom is shown to be a down on his luck Klonoa goes on about his old life. "Yeah, Fuck the stupid management. Said that I wasn't part of the company's plans. So they phased us out. At least Bravoman had a day job and Wonder Momo could dig gold from her man. But me? Here I am smuggling people for Whiskey money." Klonoa then starts coughing until he spits out blood and probably a piece of his cancer ridden lungs. The group looks at the kid with concern who simply brushes them off. "I'm fine. Here's the way up. Now fuck off!"
As the group heads topside using an elevator. Iroha goes off with a parting barb. "These sure are some lovely people down here." To which Klonoa countered with. "I heard that you entitled white girl!" Iroha remarks that she is Japanese. Only for Ash to counter with. "You don't really look like it." Iroha counters with. "Don't blame me! Blame the art design!"
Planet Center's topside, Government district.
The crew members of the Mikazuki had finally reached the topside of the planet. A massive city of shiny skyscrapers. With people and flying vehicles all around congesting the skies. Iroha remarks as she looks at the city. "Somethings haven't changed." Ash merely looks around with disgust muttering about the air is dirty and grimy. As the group tries to find their way to the building they are stopped by a strange robot dressed up in a Willy Wonka manner with a noticeable round head and a single bright eye in the center.
"Oh greetings my fabulous friends! May I ask what brings you to the city topside?" The group struggle to bullshit an excuse from the ambiguously gay robot. Only for him to continue rambling. "Oh well it doesn't matter! As an IFS guidance robot it is my duty to remind newcomers of the rules." The robot then plays a small flute that summons a group of tiny orange skinned creatures with green hair and military uniforms. Eddy remarks "Aren't those the Umpa Lumpas?" Only for the robot to correct the troll by stating. "They are the Trunka-Lunkas. They are a slave race engineered to sing songs and feed the masses." "What's the difference dude?" "A Netflix lawsuit." Ash adds with his remark. "Tell them I hate them!" To which the Wonka robot warns. "Be careful, the little buggers bite."

"Or else!" The Wonka bot stared at the group creepily as he pushed a button from his cuff link that caused one of the Trunka-Lunkas heads to explode. Scaring off the rest and with an eyeball landing at a terrified and disgusted Iroha's feet. Whom sheepishly said. "We'll keep that in mind sir..." As the Wonka bot flew off. Iroha ended up vomiting on the floor. With Gekkou stating. "We need to finish the job and leave this place." Unbeknownst to all of them is that a small cyan ball was recording the whole situation and relaying back to someone.
The group then left towards the Tomoe building. The tallest building in the government area and a defensive stronghold where the current government lives and works now. Before getting there they stumble into a large burnt down and abandoned facility. The torn down remnants of the IFS Senate. Now sealed away by armed guards and with shops and stalls blocking the paths. "So that's what happened to the building." Ash remarked as the group stopped to see the sights. "That building was supposed to be the crowning achievement of the post war reconstruction." The old robot reminisced with a tinge of sorrow and regret. "A symbol that the age of the Incubators had ended and that a more just and fair society had taken its place."
The team finally reached the Tomoe building. As the group entered the perimeter the place was eerily quiet and empty. And as the group reached a large clearing that was cut off by a series of walls and barriers. After reaching the center of the clearing. Both exits are sealed up and a giant wrestling arena rises from the ground as Capital Guardsmen surround the arena. The local variant of the IFS troopers with a blue and silver paint job and a heavier armor with shoulder plating. With IFS swarms covering the skies. A model of transformable security drones that can switch from a saucer mode to a hovering mecha with large powerful arms and a single red eye. The crew is shocked at being caught but Iroha quickly realizes how this happened as she witness the small drones surrounding them. "I know you're here Redips! Show yourself!" Misha murmurs. "I see, so the IFS spymaster was watching us all along. Ever since the Redips model in the elevator stopped us for that musical number."

"I see. It's been a while Iroha." A Redips model robot like the Wonka robot only wearing an IFS uniform and hat with a blonde braided ponytail. Followed by Redips drones, a group of flying spherical drones. Guarded by armed Guardsmen wielding blasters and riot batons. "It is I!" Pantheon boasted as neon kanji representing conviction appeared behind her. "The spymaster supreme of the law!" The angle showing her changed with kanji representing justice appearing. "The unflappable Lookout!" The kanji then switched to represent brutality as Redips pointed to herself. "Pantheon Redips-sama!" Then a massive backsplosion detonated behind her freaking out the Guardsmen next to her and lighting one on fire as the robot laughed like a complete maniac.
Gekkou remarked. "Okay this bitch is toasted." While Eddy and Misha readied themselves for battle with the former remarking. "100 to five, I like these odds!" As he clenched his fists and drew his sword With the latter readying her anti material sniper rifle snarking back with. "I'm surprised you can even count that high Cutthroat."
Pantheon yells. "Troopers, attack!" As the Guardsmen charge at their enemy. Climbing and jumping into the ring in order to fight as a brawl breaks out.

GENKAI OVER: Akudama Drive
With Eddy and Gekkou fighting off grunts while Misha fired at the guardsmen. Head shooting them from a distance. While Ash and Iroha transform into their avatar forms of Golden age, a Coelacanth themed gold armor that uses the gems on hos shoulders, arms, and knees to fire massive high capacity beams that sweep the battlefield. And Captain, a cuckoo themed pink and white armor with a hooded cape and an arm mounted crossbow based off her magical girl form. Who took to the skies to try and fight Redips only to be stopped by IFS swarms who try to shoot down Iroha and fire energy nets to trap the rest. The crew ends up dodging said nets which trap the rushing Guardsmen instead.
"Ah comeon! What do you think I pay you people for?!" Redips yells out from the back as Misha takes advantage of the situation to try and shoot the robot in the eye. Her drones block the attack. Being destroyed in the process which freaks out the spymaster as she orders Guardsmen to stop the bear as she hides in a corner. The guardsmen try to dog pile Misha only to get tossed aside by her incredible strength. With a shock wave that transforms Misha into her avatar mode Scope. A yellow armor based on both a Megatherium and a Scopedog which gives her powerful claws that let her maul her opponents at close range. Tearing the Guardsmen avatars to shreds and killing them thru sheer pain trauma. A dying Guardsmen with his lower half torn off screams out. "Why were we programmed to feel pain?! As he starts crying." Redips counters with. "Fool! Pain is an instinct! It sharpens the mind! It prevents recklessness!" Scope then manages to kneecap Redips while Golden Age's cannons disintegrate her right shoulder causing her arm to fall off. "Oh God why was I programmed to feel pain!" As she falls to the ground kneeling over in agony.
Meanwhile Eddy now also transformed into his Cutthroat avatar form is flat out pro wrestling the Guardsmen. Using lariats and powerbombs on his opponents with utter glee. The avatar itself is a green armor based on a Tyrannosaur with beam blade emitters in his wrists, shoulders, knees, and feet. Which he uses to cut and bludgeon foes along with his sword. In desperation a Guardsmen commander screams out to "Use the chair!" To which a Guardsmen pulls out a steel chair from the arenas tarmac and tries to smack Cutthroat in the head, multiple times, only for the troll to completely no-sell every blow. The terrified guard drops the chair and tries to flee only for Eddy to grab his head with one hand, dead lift him into the air with ease. The Guard screamed out. "I'm going to kill you, you son of a bitch!" To which Cutthroat simply replied. "You're going to have to!" Before slamming his face straight into the steel chair so hard that the chair was bent in half due to the force. In desperation the commander orders two more mooks to smack Cutthroat around using a metal staircase and the two managed to smack him in the head, pin him down and then get another guy to boot his head in. All to a cheering Guard commander. Only for Eddy to rise from the dead like the Undertaker. Causing the mooks to panic and rush him. Only for Eddy to back flip out of the way causing the ladder carrying mooks to smack the third knocking him out cold and then fro Eddy to bulldoze the other two until they were knocked out off the ring alongside their leader. With both mooks and the ladder all landing on top of the commander. Eddy then lifted his right arm into the sky and yelled. "Do you know the way bitch?!"
Meanwhile Mami Tomoe and Barragan Natch were watching the entire fight with the later remarking. "Looks like our boys are getting their butts kicked." Mami just stares in silence only for Barragan to add. "Maybe you should get in there and do something?" Mami replies with. "And what will you do Minister?" "I'll provide support. Spiritually. From a safe distance." Before fleeing to an elevator that took him to an escape hatch. Mami just stared silently in judging disappointment commenting. "Why the fuck did I ever team up with him?! Still, he's got a point. Maybe I should stop them." Before transforming as a giant sunflower appears behind her and firing a beam of light that transform her into an avatar form. A yellow and white variant of the Guardsmen form with a fancy military coat and a nice hat.

Before teleporting above the battlefield before charging up her attack by revving the handle of her driver. "Final move! Police brutality!" "Golden Aegis Annihilation!" Then a series of sunflowers appear above her and fire massive solarbeams that annihilate the entire arena. Killing all her forces and badly injuring her opponents before floating down into the center of the field. Pantheon also gets blown aside by the explosion crashing thru a thick concrete wall and being left for dead by her commander.

Iroha is the first to get up and horrified at the destruction screams at Mami. "How? Aren't they supposed to be your friends?" Mami coldly replies. "Friends? A magical girl has no friends." Before pulling out her muskets and firing only for the shot to be cut down by Gekkou who also freezes the bullet solid. And shows her blue mahou driver and pulls out her mahou key activating it which causes a Chinese dragon to rise out and ice to form around her. "So you're her? The so called strongest in space? You call this mindless destruction strength? Then Gekkou's body begins to show glowing purple marks in her skin and a snake mark in her forehead before their color changes to green. And the forehead mark becomes a sun and moon mark. Mami muses. "I see, so that's what happened to Miki-san's driver. To think that it would end up in the hands of a filthy Orochi."
"I am not an Orochi!" Gekkou states as she transforms into her avatar form. "Ice! Crossbone! The cool hearted romantic!" A blue dragon themed armor with pirate elements mixed in and an X shaped visor. Drawing her sword and boasting. "Mahou driver Crossbone. Cutting down the target!"
Gekkou and Mami start fighting while the rest of the crew join in. Beginning an five on one fight with Mami in a seeming disadvantage. Golden age also uses his cannons alongside his spear to cut off Mami who dodges every blast and ties up the spear with her ribbons. With Iroha firing her arrows from the sky which are blocked by a ribbon wall which is cut down by Cutthroat as he and Golden Age double team Mami with Scope getting some distance so she can get a vantage point. Shooting her from behind. A shot that Mami dodges while summoning multiple muskets to fight off Cutthroat, Golden Age, and Scope. With more muskets being launched at Gekkou and Iroha with Gekkou cutting down the muskets and Iroha using her cape to block attacks while firing back.
Eddy tries to fight Mami and manages to put her on a hold. While Misha uses her claws to gore her. Only for the whole thing to be a ribbon clone that binds both. Mami jumps from the ground with a massive cannon whose laser blast is blocked by Golden Age's energy shield. While Gekkou both freezes the ribbons and musket shattering them and firing off ice dragons and Iroha strafing Mami with rapid fire. As the battle continues to the walls. With Eddy punching the walls down causing Mami to fall and get shot by Misha using her sniping skills. Mami uses her ribbons to collect the debris and chuck it at everyone giving her time to escape while everyone gives chase.
Meanwhile Redips lies battered and broken with a lost arm and leg barely clinging on to life. "Medic! Medic!" Being ignored as chaos ensues and everyone else is either trying to flee or reinforce the defenses of the planet. When Abaggon's glowing eyes look down at the dying robot and enters her body as a dark energy beam that causes Redips injuries to heal and a new arm and leg to burst out of her body as she screams in agony and loses consciousness. When she wakes up she is possessed by Abaggon who burst a driver buckle from the robot's stomach with its face. The Abaggon driver and then walks toward the battlefield. Following the crew of the Mikazuki and Mami's trail of destruction.

The battle continues down the streets and pathways of the Goverment district. With more Guardsmen joining the fight as civilians try to the flee only to get caught in the crossfire. With the Guardsmen uncaring and Mami tossing speeders from the air at the Mikazuki drivers leading to more death and destruction. With Eddy and Iroha trying to save civilians while the others hold off the IFS relentless assault. Golden Age and Scope are swatting away Guardsmen with both of them lampshading on how easy it is to deal with them. "I thought that the capital city's Guardsmen were the best of the best." Misha remarks as she shoots several of them while punching the rest. Ash remarks that its nothing but propaganda and stating. "Not exactly, the only reason why the capital guard posts is considered so desired. It's because the soldiers don't do anything. They just laze around and look intimidating all day." Ash then fires a compressed beam shoot that vaporizes several guards and swarms and blows up a carrier transport.
All the while Mami and Gekkou trade blows with the former using her guns as bludgeons against the latter's sword. Until they break off and Mami forms an epee and gattling gun from her ribbons and fires with wild abandon at her opponent. While the dragonkin darts from cover to cover in order to gain the advantage with the bullets destroying everything they touch and the ribbons crushing everything that gets in the way. With both summoning a giant worm made of ribbons and a massive ice dragon respectively that they both ride and use to trade shots at each other thru the skyscape. Freezing or destroying buildings along the way.
As both summons crash violently into each other the two warriors trade blows as the district catches flames below. "Filthy Orochi just die already!" Mami screams as the worm sprouts mouths from all of its body which fire beams of light all over the city. Causing chaos and destruction below. As buildings fall killing Guardsmen while Ash holds back the destruction with his energy field. Protecting the fleeing civilians and his allies. Gekkou's ice dragon dances and weaves around the beams before biting down the worms neck causing ice to form. And Crossbone to lock blades with Musketeer as the summons crash into the undercity below.
"I can't believe that you're doing this!" Gekkou screams at Mami the latter whom kicks away the former yelling back. "Who cares?! Everyone else is gone! And its all thanks to that woman! If it wasn't for her! Nagisa would still be alive!" Gekkou swings her sword in a horizontal swing which Mami ducks having her hat cut in half only for the Puella Magi to uppercut the dragonkin straight in the face. Knocking Gekkou off kilter before striking with multiple punches to the chest and gut.
At that time the others notice the situation and try to go help only to get shot at from extremely long range. The shooter being the Wonka robot inside a custom purple GUN Hazred with the lower side replaced by hydraulic spider legs that allow it to quickly jump around the cityscape and its head replaced by a massive rail gun and backpack targeting system. "Bwahahahahaha!" The Wonka bot laughs maniacally as he begins to sing as well.

Only for the machine to jam and the ammo racks to explode causing it to fall down into the undercity and explode. Killing the Wonka in the process. "What the hell just happened?" Iroha just stands in shock at the entire situation as the Trunka-Lunka's led by one that looks like a tiny Mel Gibson states. "Go rescue your friend! We will hold them off!" Iroha just looks confused while Golden Age transforms into his evolution form a giant Coelacanth shaped shuttle craft known as Coela train saying. "Let's take this opportunity while we can Captain!" Misha quickly mounts the shuttle while Eddy carries off the confused Iroha inside as they all take off while the Trunka-Lunkas face off against the Guardsmen.
One of the Guardsmen yells out "TRAITORS!" While the Mel Gibson Trunka-Lunka takes out a sword and yells to his men. "Sons of Trunka I am William Wallace!" The Guardsmen states. "Isn't William Wallace supposed to be seven feet tall?" William replies with. "Yes, i've heard! He kills men by the hundreds. And if he were here, he'd consume these pigs with fireballs from his eyes, and bolts of lightning from his arse!" As both groups laugh the now irate Guardsmen screams. "Is this a fucking joke to you?! You will run and you will die!" "Guardsmen! You may take our lives... BUT YOU WILL NEVER TAKE... OUR FREEDOM!" The Trunka's cheer with such might that even the Capital Guardsmen become wary and with a cheer of "ALBAAA GU BRAAATH!" The Trunka's begin their assault.
The fight between Gekkou and Mami continued in the lower levels of the planet. As the two flew around the massive tunnels that inter connected the entire world trading blows all the way along. "This tunnels, they are just like the towers." Gekkou remarks as a giant ribbon fist smashes thru the tunnels and slaps her around. Before grabbing the dragonkin, crushing her and then turning the fighters into guns that repeatedly shot her multiple times. The explosions having such force that Gekkou crashed thru multiple gates and floors before landing in the middle of a large waste treatment plant.
Said treatment plant was a dark cold place full of garbage and waste liquids. As well as massive incinerators that disposed of dead bodies. As Crossbone got up she lost her transformation. Returning to her dragonkin form, Gekkou only managed to keep herself standing with her katana. All the while Mami Tomoe dropped from the sky above to mock her victim. "Look at you scum. This is where you belong. With all the gore and shit! Just like the Puella Magi." "What are you talking about you lunatic?" Gekkou screams only to have her knee shot causing her to fall down. "I'm sure a twerp like you doesn't know it. But once upon a time this was the homeworld of the incubators. We built this massive city on top of their graves after we glassed their homes and buried their civilians alive." "You. Are mad! You crazy bitch!" Mamin shoots Gekkou in both arms again and just loses it. "Crazy? Crazy?! I'm not crazy! You're all crazy! I embody propriety!" Then Mami points her musket between Gekkou's eyes and boasts. "And now, you will be dead!" But before she gets a chance to fire she gets blasted herself by Pantheon Redips who then uses her drones to capture Mami and electrocute her. Mami in a rage shatters the drones with sheer magical power and shoots Pantheon in the head causing her upper body to explode. Only for Pantheon to grow said half back and transforming into Mahou Driver devil.
"Abbagon driver!" The driver screams out as flaming wings burst out from Redips and Abbagon circling around her after exploding from her waist. A dark colored serpentine dragon of artificial design with a golden headcrest and eyes and a trident shaped tail. With golden highlights and giant side vents that serve as flaming wings. With the dragon merging with Pantheon and erupting into flames before transforming into a black suited armor form with golden asymmetric armor plating with large devil horns and a tail. "Mahou driver Devil! Doom! Dragon! Devil! Yabe!"
"What is going on?!" Both Mami and Gekkou screamed as Devil rushed Mami and punched her relentlessly into a corner much to the latter's shock. Punching the magical girl thru multiple walls and thru the floor. "Devil arrows!" The driver screamed as Devil fired a swarm of homing lasers at Musketeer. Mami raised a shield as the explosions tore thru the facility causing the place to catch on fire and countered with rows of cannon fire which Devil shrugs off before she charges at Mami again.
As the fire spread through the building, Gekkou is forced to retreat. Explosions rock the entire facility as the dragonkin flees using her ice power to skate to safety. Coaela train at that time witness the explosions and fire and heads to the area and locates Gekkou as she collapses once more from her injuries unable to get back up. As the flames close in around the injured girl. Ash blasts thru the facility and uses a prana burst to choke out the flames saving Gekkou. Eddy drops out of the shuttle and lifts up her superior. "Eddy..." Gekkou remarks as she falls unconscious. While Eddy jumps back into the shuttle and Ash takes off. Inside the Coela train Ash asks. "So what now Captain?" After a moment of silence Iroha slinks down on her seat and orders a retreat. With Coela train taking off and using the chaos used by the riots caused by the Truka-Lunkas to escape the planet and warp out to safety. Getting away due to the chaos and because the orbital fleet was both too busy dealing with other matters to care. And being used to evacuate the planets rich and elite to safety.
Mami meanwhile was getting whaled on by Devil using her fists alone to power thru all of Mami's techniques. Even breaking out of multiple bindings thru sheer brute force. In desperation Mami binds up Devil completely like a mummy and skewers her entire body with swords that pierce straight thru the bindings before crushing it for good measure. Leaving nothing but a pile of bloodied ribbons in its wake. Mami utterly exhausted breaks her transformation revealing that she was bloodied and injured as well. And the bindings disintegrated leaving an untransformed Pantheon. Broken and pleading for mercy. Mami merely stares at the robot before leaving the facility. Letting Pantheon to die as she is consumed by the fire.
Outside Mami orders a full purge of all the government district. An act carried out by the orbital fleet by bombarding the entire area from orbit. The places that are important for the government would survive the destruction. But everything else would be annihilated. Causing the rioters to disperse or die. After that the exhausted Puella Magi slinks away as Abbagon is then found alive much to Mami's shock. Which then increased when a familiar voice long thought dead came out from the dragon. "It's been a long time Mami Tomoe." "How?!" Mami asked her face barely able to repress her rage as the voice clearly got to her. "You should have died. I killed you! Kagemusha!" Kagemusha merely stated. "I'll be waiting for you in Gimme Shelter." Before Abbagon disappears into the shadows. Leaving the blonde to break down and scream in rage to the heavens.
Meanwhile deep inside the Shadow Cistern Zone. Underneath the Acorn Archipelago
Walter Naugus had reached the radio tower in the center of the town. Naugus notices that the tower is blocked by some strange barrier that the troll tried to break. Only for the entire tower to transform into a giant silver cylinder composed of gray goo. "What?" Naugus remarks as the goo comes to life and a voice echoing around the city. All the while the goo melts into the ground and reforms into a giant silvery version of the Giga Galats found in the forbidden tower. With green Tron lines surrounding the silver titan complete with a singular green eye and the emblem of the green tower. The familiar Reibai circle in green with the image of a whirling storm inside it.
"This is the Shadow Cistern... Here lies Earth's blood stained history of greed and hatred... Long, long ago this was the site of an ancient battlefield. The ancient land of Mikitihara. Where the Calamity Homun was born. And where the Calamity Homun seated its power."

I'm Omochao!" Before his head finishes rotating and an angry sneer replaces his usual smile before screaming. "And i'm going to kill you!" Before his head snaps, inverts, and his body explodes as a gusher of malice floods from his head and into the ground creating a horrifying new form. Much to the horror of the wizard as spider like limbs with chainsaws and flamethrowers at the tips form from a tall skinny purple body with a set of four spider legs and abdomen. Resulting in a ten foot spider like horror with a spiked spinal cord connecting Omochao's head to the rest of the body. Like some horrifying puppet being strung along by an invisible hand. As Omochao's yellow eyes morph into purple organic ones with a black lizard like iris. And noisily rotate independently before focusing on Naugus and letting out a horrid roar.

More filler true. But I felt that I needed to make some time to both introduce the future players into the story that will be both the IFS and the other members of Pandora aside from Kagemusha and his group who is on Mobius currently. As well as show the current state of Reibai and Center as both worlds will be important later on in the story. I also wanted a chance to establish why Mami is nicknamed the strongest magical girl in space. By essentially having her run roughshod over her enemies and prove that she is the one man army that Sonic and Madoka will need to overcome.
Also these filler episodes serve as world building and are meant to explain parts of the plot that would otherwise been left untold in the original script. Such as how magic works and that the towers were reverse engineered Ancient tech. As well as the links between the Ancients, the Precursors, and the races that continue their will. Which are the Reibai and the Anim. Whom are all evolved from previous genetic experimentation on plants and animals. And of course the big reveal that Mobius was Earth all along. Which was inspired by the Archie comics and if you've read the comics then you should have some idea of what the Universe Salvation plan really is.
Jango and Kagemusha's original units are callbacks to the Megaman X series mainly X and Zero as the respective commanders of the 17th and 0th units respectively. As Jango was similar to X when he was alive and had a similar dynamic to Kagemusha as X and Zero. Being close friends and a junior with great potential that Kagemusha personally invested much in back then.
Essence Stealer as a character was inspired by and basically is Demongo from Samurai Jack. He even has a high pitched shrilly voice just like its inspiration. Eddy is pretty much a walking Shout out to Akudama Drive. Being an expy off Brawler who might be an expy of Sonic Boom Knuckles. And Misha, …aged poorly... As the original concept was that of a ex-Russian cold war merc as a good guy. But the invasion of Ukraine more or less killed that idea dead. She's still a Russian bear but that is mainly because of lore reasons with the Precursors. And is still a stoic ex-merc because she was meant to be an expy of Chirico Cuvie from Armored Trooper VOTOMS and a homage to the series. As all of the Mikazuki's drivers are meant to be homages to different anime. With Gekkou being a homage in lore and design to Kannazuki no Miko and Ash being an homage to Mobile suit Gundam 00.
Abbagon himself is based off Sestren guardian dragons. The term Pandora's dragonmare was Kagemusha's way of mocking both the Empire and the Ancients. Mainly the technological preservation faction. And while the neither the Reibai or later groups have succeeded in fully replicating Pure type beasts. Primarily the exoskeleton known as Pure Plate instead using Metal hide a type of organically grown metal that is used for an Avatar's combat form. Which is more flexible but a less capable defense.
And yes Omochao is back and is the host of the Calamity Homun. Aside from being a Zelda homage I thought that it would be hilarious to have Omochao as a Blight Ganon. Especially after forgetting about him for so long. He is very much meant to be a parody of Calamity Ganon.
