Decem 19 s.h. 014, Reibai Research Facilities Reibai division
Inside the depths of the original RRF facility. Where the original Mahou drivers and clone troopers were first constructed. Kagami Ichijin and Kagemusha are working on investigating the core that was collected in dark space. As the two continue working on a new robotic body this time a silver mannequin of pure datamaterial with a distinctly liquid feel to it. "So is everything ready for the transfer?" Kagami asks to Kagemusha. Who hooks up the computer core with a pair of cables that connect to the body. "Yes, the core is ready to be downloaded. Still is she going to be able to adapt to the new body?" The masked man asked as he looked the core over. A two foot tall spherical container that has seen better days. "So this is from another parallel universe?" "Well brother, it seems that other things have bled into this one by accident. Not that i'm complaining. After all these unexpected surprises have been interesting research topics. And thanks to the technology we got from Elysium we can begin to produce avatars in large numbers. Very soon the entire population of the IFS will be converted into new technorganic forms. And after that their offspring will be genetically capable of assimilating and interfacing with various technologies."
"Too bad that Megaman Volnutt is dead." Kagemusha mused. Monika shrugged it off remarking. "The bodies were floating around for over 100 years now when we found them. There was nothing we could do. If I recall Terra was quarantined right?" "The fleets are keeping a blockade for the time being. At least until we can confirm that the Elder system has been shut down." Kagemusha responds as the two look over the data one more time.
"Metaverse enterprise solutions? Well something like this doesn't exist in this universe. Still i'm surprised that something out of Doki Doki Literature club would show up here. I wonder what happened that they chucked an entire database into the stars in order to get rid of it?" "That still had functional security that could destroy my Waltzer." Kagami once again brushes off her "brothers" complains. Noting that even with upgrades the ZERO-1 Waltzer was like 50 years old by now. It may have been revolutionary back then. But now mobile suits and other mecha could do similar things. Tsurugi remarks. "The reason why were creating combiners now?" The reibai scientist. Visibly unchanged even after over half a century since the two first met. Begins the data transfer. Transporting the AI trapped inside the core into the mannequin. Which transforms into a young human woman of average height. With long brown hair that covers her bits. Before a Japanese high school uniform manifests and the body takes on a feminine shape.
The girl wakes up. Groggy and confused. Asking where is she. Kagami explains the gist of the situation while Kagemusha looks on. "See, I told you that I would get you out of there, Monika." Monika replies. "So you have... So this is reality?" Kagami answers with a "Yes and no." Much to the newly awakened avatars confusion. After explaining the situation the teenager still looks somewhat confused but that if stopped by a rumbling stomach. She then sheepishly remarks that she is hungry before questioning how is she hungry to begin with, Kagemusha explains. "Well sadly even a hyper advanced alien race capable of scientifically understandable sorcery. Isn't capable of making an engine that can run perpetually. At least one small enough for a humanoid robot. So we need to consume matter in order to bio mechanically convert it into energy."
"Oh, I see... Wait sorcery... As in magic? Actual magic? Not some hyper advanced science that looks like magic?" "No, actual magic." Kagami explains. "Magic is basically a type of dark matter. Unidentifiable by all conventional scientific methods. It has always been there. An invisible field of energy that connects and binds the galaxy together." "Like the force?" Monika asks to which she gets. "Yes, just like the force." By Kagami. With Kagemusha adding. "Yeah but unlike the Jedi or Sith we Reibai really don't give a crap about dogma or binary duality. We use it to build kick ass spaceships and robots to slay the Xeno menace with. The Xeno menace being Incubators and their magical girl cohorts."
Monika is utterly stunned silent. Until her stomach growls again. "So, when do we eat?" The girl asks putting her hand into her belly.
Arc... Gattai... Systems designed to surpass Gods and devils. Originally the Arc system was meant to stand alone as the key to defeating the Great Calamity. But an act of betrayal made this impossible. instead. By combining using forms known as machines multiple drivers could evolve and become a more powerful giant. This traitor due to their actions has had their name stripped from history and speaking about them is a taboo topic around the populace. In order to compensate the art of Gattai was developed.
It is now the year 8932 of the second history. And thanks to this advancements made many years ago. The galaxy is heading towards a period of revolution. A new era has come. And what this new era entails will soon be made clear.
Chapter 26: The master plan
The Egg carrier
In the main deck of the Egg carrier. Doctor Eggman has summoned all the Egg bosses he could. Besides Metal Sonic and Maw. The forces gathered are Arms, Franky, and Humpty a trio of super badniks. Arms being a short and squat humanoid not unlike the Egg Pawns with as his name states very long tentacle arms with manipulators at the end. Franky is a brutish slate gray giant with electric powers. And Humpty is an egg shaped robot with arms and legs as well as two large antennas on top that is capable of using shields and barriers. Sleet and Dingo a pair of mercenaries that also serve as bosses composed of a tall gangly gray wolf wearing a spike armor and a hulking orange dingo with prince nez sunglasses and aversion to shirts. Clutch the Opossum an older mobian with snot green fur and a fancy white suit who walks with a cane that is also a gun. Who is their dealer in the black market who loves abusing animals. Wendy Naugus AKA the witchcarter. Walter Naugus sister and a troll with a penchant for gadgetry and weird gimmicks. Silver Sonic another robot knockoff that was meant to be the original Sonic knock-off but proved ineffective. And is now an angry mess of weapons and thrusters with many sharp spikes, Thunderbolt a tiny insane chinchilla girl who loves Eggman and fights with a mechanical suit that grants her strength and electric powers. Akhlut a violent orca with psychic powers and the tallest of the whole lot. Mordred Hood a cowardly cobra that betrayed Eurish and joined because Eggman gave him arms and legs and hopes to be a king. And finally The Foreman a nerd. (No seriously, his species is called the nerds.) Who is in charge of maintaining supply lines and build stuff that Eggman doesn't want to.
"I can't believe that the Doctor summoned all of us." Mordred remarked to which Akhmut replied with his telepathy. "Not all of us. Grimer is absent from the lineup." The Foreman explains that Grimer is busy with Project Metallix and cannot be disturbed at any moments. He also adds that Cassia and Clove are with him and that Nepthys is missing. "And of course Axel and Conquering Storm are both dead thanks to the aliens..." Mordred remarks. Clutch remarks about the rumors that Nepthys might be a traitor. To which Thunderbolt simply replies. "Then i'll just fry that turkey. Just like I did to Bill." Remarking on how she became an Egg Boss by killing her former boss Duck "Bill" Platypus.
Maw shushes the chatty group as Dr. Eggman enters the deck and shows everyone the events of the last chapter. The Egg bosses, Maw and Metal excluded look in shock, horror, and awe at the devastation caused by the Cycles cults. Leaving the Resistance crippled and Westside island utterly devastated. As the feed ended Eggman simply said. "Egg bosses, The Acorn kingdom is weak and wounded. Let us take the knife, and plunge it in. We are starting a full assault! Ready yourselves it's time for war!"
Eggman then leaves with the Egg bosses salivating for battle. Then Maw tells them to come with him as the Thylacine shows them a line of customized Battle Eggman robos based on the individual Egg bosses with matching abilities, powers, and weaponry.
Jul 10 s.h. 8932, Green Hills town cemetery.
The surviving members of the Resistance have all been reunited in Green Hills where they are giving a funeral for all the dead from the last battle. Among the casualties being Cream the rabbit, Layer and Pallete Hopscotch, Bunnie D'Coolette, Dende and Chuckles echidna, The echidna elder, Porker Lewis, And Heavy and Bomb who died off screens alongside numerous unnamed acorn guards, and unnamed Resistance members, the rest of the people in Angel island, and many civilians from Westside island.
As a priest eulogizes about the dead Sonic and Silver the hedgehog were discussing about the situation in a corner. With Silver visibly worried about what is happening. "Are you sure that this was the future that you were trying to prevent?" Sonic asks, only for the younger hedgehog to clutch his head. As the memories of his past conflict with each other causing him to fall to his knees when Sonic held him and helped him get up. "Sorry Sonic, it's just that something isn't right?" Sally Acorn joins the conversation to add her two cents. "I see you're also suffering from flashbacks as well." Much to the surprise of both hedgehogs. "You think what you're going thru is weird? Check this out." As Sally sprouts energy blades from her arms without needing the light rings she wears. Leaving both hedgehogs stunned. "Nicole is also having a breakdown. The whole angel island thing was rough but now she's been completely locked out of the towers." "Is she?" "She's fine but she left to look for something." The princess noted trying to calm down Silver. "Also what's that?" She notes to Sonic pointing to his shiny new driver.
"Good question." Sonic replies. It just appeared on my wrist at the exact same moment that Tails and Knuckles got theirs. "Then Amy, Silver, and a couple of others also found out that they had this stuck on them." "I don't suppose you would let me take a look at it?" Sally asked after glancing the device. Only for Sonic to state. "Tails thought the same thing. He even tried sawing his own arm for science." Silver and Sally look horrified while Sonic simply states. "It's been a rough few days." "And what about you Sonic?" Sally asks remembering how Sonic barely reacted to the news of Porker's gruesome death. Which causes Sonic to finally lose his composure. "I'm going to KILL whoever was responsible for this!"
Amy meanwhile is alone with Cheese trying to comfort the chao over the death of her friend. Where he is met by Vannila the Rabbit and Gemerl. The former being Cream's mother and an older version of her daughter with long brown her. And the latter a puppet like robot in black with gold highlights. Amy looks away in horror and disgust apologizing to the two only for Vanilla to tell her to stop it. As Cream chose her path. "When I allowed my daughter to be taken by the Les terribles orphans project. I didn't think that she would become a soldier. When the police brought her back I wanted her to live a normal life. But then she rescued me and rescued G-mel. I'm proud of my daughter. And i'm proud that if she had to die. She did it to save others."
Sometime has passed and the funeral ended with all those involved going off on their separate ways. With Sally staying behind a bit longer with the priest. As the two work to put away everything they begin talking. "Princess you really shouldn't be doing this." The priest remarked showing concern with Sally brushing it off. "It's all right sir. After all that's happened I need something to take my mind off." The priest remarks. "Maybe I can be of use." "I'm underage. And female." The shocked priest stuttered and responded with. "What do think I am? Catholic? I just wanted to hand this to you." The priest hands over an old weathered book containing notes written in kanji." "This book must be ancient." Sally remarks in amazement. "Apparently its written in an ancient language. From before the second history." Sally remarks "Wouldn't that make it around 9000 years old at minimum? There's no way a paper book could last so long." "Like I said it's just a story handed down by my family. Although I do know that it was in our family long before we settled in Mobius."
"I've heard the stories. That humans came from a world called Earth that was destroyed millennia ago." Sally mused as the priest finished the story. "Yes, after a great cataclysm that killed half of humanity. We were forced to flee to the stars. And even then our people remained separated. Scattered in colonies all over the stars our kind now relies on other races for survival. Since humanity is unable to form an unified front." "So, do you think anything can be done about it?" Sally questions to which the elderly and bald human who merely kept quiet. "Father Suzuki?" "I doubt it. My ancestors believe that the reason we humans are in our current situation was because humanity angered the gods. And the gods destroyed the Earth for said transgressions. Our family only survived because we refused to take sides in the war. And because our bloodline has no magical potential."
Sally looked in concern as Father Suzuki gave the squirrel a warning. "Be careful young miss. The gods are angry and destructive by nature." The old man remarked as he looked to the statue of a tree that was the symbol of his faith. "Those who live within the balance will be blessed. But those who disturb the balance will be punished severely. That is the belief of Shinjuism."
In a small local pub Antoine is drowning his sorrows after losing his wife. When he is met by a depressed O'Malley who orders a scotch as well. "Wow, you're drinking Antoine?! Damn this really is a shiity time we're living in..." Antoine put down his drink and stated. "I'm retiring from the guard..." Leaving the elderly mobian stunned silent. Dropping his scotch much to the annoyance of the bartender. The widowed coyote then pays for his drink and leaves. Leaving O'Malley trying to mentally recovered from such a bombshell. After getting his bearings the old soldier chases after Antoine.
Finally there's Madoka Kaname who had essentially spent the past few days in a depression. To the point where a psychiatrist tried to help her. But it doesn't really help and Madoka was essentially curled up in the fetal position while the shrink was failing to do anything. Eventually Madoka just leaves the office and heads back to her temporary room in Acorn castle's barracks. Now that the Skypatrol has been shipped off for repairs in Scrap brain in the westernmost part of the island. A former Eggman base that was captured by the Acorn kingdom and converted into a dry dock facility. All of which is watched over by Sonic who looks on in concern. Being joined later by Tails and Knuckles as the trio head to eat. Passing by a panicked O'Malley without really noticing.
As Team Sonic enter Uncle Chuck's diner. An old diner owned by Chuck the hedgehog that is famous for its chili dogs. The trio stumble up into Officer Mike Wachoswki. A human policeman and local of Green Hill who is more or less Sonic and Tails legal guardian alongside Chuck. "So I see that things didn't go as planned." Mike remarked as he played around with a doughnut. To which Knuckles complains. "Tell me about it!" Tails remarks. "Well at least we managed to recover Angel island. So Knuckles when are you leaving?" "Good question. The entire island is ruined. Everyone but me is either dead, missing, or turned into a monster. And according to Sally's reports. It's possible that Angel island will never recover and the Master Emerald will have to be moved somewhere else." The echidna muses as he folds his arms and sinks into thought.
"I heard that girl, Madoka. Will be discharged from duty." Mike comments to everyone's surprise and shock. "Apparently they asked if Jo and I can take her in. Just like we did with you guys." Tails muses. "Well I guess that not a surprise. The only reason she was even allowed to join the front line was because of her powers. And now that we have drivers and according to Tekno, Gigaopolis is working on ways to reverse engineer the drivers." Tails then looks at his driver remarking. "According to Tekno this device is based on Reibai technology." Sonic and Knuckles are confused but Mike explains that the Reibai had been exterminated 20 or so years ago due to a mysterious explosion. The IFS claims that they were planning a rebellion and were responsible for the slaughter of the senate. Nobody really believes the story especially since the oligarchs used the situation to consolidate absolute power and crack down on opposition. To the point that there has been a civil war ever since." Sonic remarks that he never heard of that. Which the officer remarked. "Of course. This is the preservation sector. The booniest of the space boonies. Why do you think Eggman is allowed to run free to this day?" Mike asks to the interest of Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles.
"According to the IFS. Eggman is considered a local problem. Since he is always stopped by Sonic and he has never gone into other worlds to make a mess. He is pretty much ignored on the federal level. And it's not just Eggman, but the Ixian mages and the Zeti. The feds just don't care. And they never did. With the only time they really did anything was during the Great war."
Central tower, the moon.
Monika is fleeing the towers security galats who are chasing her due to the former holding a thief bag containing the seven chaos emeralds. The Galats opened fire at the girl who merely dodged all the energy blasts fired at near light speed. As particle beams are slower than lasers by their very nature. And using her powers to slam the galats into each other causing them to ricochet and pinball into each other before exploding in the background before Monika enters the tower's meeting room. Where she is met by Chikane and Himeko while the latter is surprised at what is happening. The former just looks at Monika dead in the eyes and remarks. "So you too?" Monika angrily tells the aloof administrator to stuff it and let her pass thru. Criticizing the girl about her past and that she has no right to criticize her especially after she raped Himeko.
Chikane simply lunges herself against Monika going straight for the kill and forcing Monika to defend with her Risu ax. Barely able to parry away Chikane's tsurugi the Tsukoyomi. Before the former forces the latter to stand down by crushing her with a powerful gravity field. A field so strong that caused her to vomit blood. Before Himeko frees her by negating the spell using her music. Which leads the seemingly traitorous protege to lunge after Himeko ready to crush her skull with her gravity powered ax until being stopped by a mysterious power that left Monika in gray scale.
Himeko rushes to her partner helping her get up now that the gravity field has been broken. Both of them look on in shock as a certain masked man appears from the shadows. "I heard the rumors." Chikane stated. "But I can't believe that they are true." Tsurugi Kagemusha cuts Chikane before she could finish. Simply remarking that the person she is referring to is dead. Something that causes to silently drop the question. "I see, so you really are going for it. You really are trying to recreate the summoning ritual. With yourself as Yamato-no-Orochi." Himeko looks on in horror at the realization of this fact. Remembering all the horrible lives and deaths both she and her beloved endured that led to this point.
Monika manages to break free of the time freeze and pulls her ax on Kagemusha begging him to stop it. Only for Kagemusha to reply. "It's too late apprentice." As he places the Pandora driver in his waist causing a massive power surge than blows everyone away. "I already reclaimed all of my other pieces. All that's left is the Calamity Homun. And Project Elpis will finally reach its final stage and my full omnipotence will be restored. Once again I will be an absolute god. And this time the cosmos will be recreated properly. A cosmos where Magical girls, witches, and Incubators never existed. A true utopia. And if humanity has to go extinct to achieve it... Well they all had it coming."
Monika tried to appeal to the trio in vain. With Chikane merely asking if Kagemusha will keep his promise. "What do you think I am Chikane? A human? Of course I will honor our deal and create a world where you and Himeko can live together in peace. A world without gods, without angels, and without whatever the fuck was Zettai shoujo seiiki amnesian!"
Chikane nodded in agreement while Himeko merely looked down in shame muttering. "To be fair I really feel bad about what happened..." Being genuinely remorseful of the time she became a villain as well. In desperation Monika tries her final trump card. Confessing her feelings to Kagemusha which leads the witnessing Chikane in shock and Himeko musing "Called it..." Only for the mysterious masked man to stay silent for a few moments before responding with a scornful. "So what?" Which surprises everyone else.
"Do you honestly believe that I ever saw you in a romantic light? That I was a prince in a white horse that swept in to free you and your friends from your prison? My sister wanted you to be my babysitter. And my executioner. Oh you didn't realize? Of course not. We were never anything but tools to her. Tools for her and the Reibai's revenge against the Incubators." Monika shocked and scared asks. "Why? If you already knew about it. Then why?" Kagemusha simply stated. "Loyalty. The reibai saved my life and gave me a chance after I betrayed her. So now I intend to repay them for that. Good, evil, love, hate, justice, malice. None of that matters. All of those things are mere illusions. Covenants that exist because people will never understand each other. No, because it is easier to be ignorant. To be trapped in your own delusions while the world burns around you. Just like humans do. Just like Incubators do. Just like Madoka did. I will save the world. I will succeed where the goddess failed. Because I am the messiah."
Kagemusha activates the Pandora driver which causes everything around the four to darken as a sigil of a flaming clock appears beneath Kagemusha's feet and a massive Archeopteryx construct flies from the fire before he places a golden mahou key in the belt which causes a massive explosion to form around him as clock bell chimes and the construct roosts and is consumed by the blast.
"Open! The eyes of God!" And in what seems like an instant to Chikane and Himeko. Monika is annihilated and laying flat on the ground, bruised, bleeding, and with burn marks all over her body barely capable of staying conscious before collapsing. As Kagmusha lies victorious in the aftermath he orders the Galats to take out the trash. As a group of them drag away Monika and the Chaos emeralds. Chikane questions why get rid of the emeralds only for Kagemusha to reassure her that they no longer need to hide the gems.
"The reason I placed the emeralds in the towers and created the administrators was to make sure someone like Sonic or Eggman couldn't derail my schemes. But now that Project Elpis is ready. It is no longer necessary to hide them. Same with the tower administrators. Contact them an tell them that they are all fired and to pick up their severance pay." Kagemusha then exits the room while the miko's are left alone. With both of them staying dead silent until Himiko asks an important question.
"Those guys are still getting paid?! Haven't they been AWOL for the past couple thousand years?" Getting weird looks from her partner.
Jul 11 s.h. 8932, Green Hills, Early in the morning.
Green Hills (the town). Is being bathed by the morning sun as a rooster crows in the distance and Sheriff Mike Wachowski is leaving the front door of the house. Heading to his patrol car to begin his day of work. Only for the Egg fleet to decloak on top of the town as they begin to blast it to pieces from the sky. With one of the stray blasts blowing up the patrol car leaving nothing but scraps and a wheel that slowly rolls away until finally falling down into the floor. Mike simply sighs in resignation and asks his wife Zoey to wake up Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles from their sleep. "Zoey! The terrorists are back! Wake up the kids!" As the entire neighborhood lights on fire and the populace panics in the distance. With one of them screaming MY LEG! Like in Spongebob Squarepants.
At the same time King Nigel and O'Malley are still interrogating Naugus when a soldier burst into the room to give a report. "Your majesty! The Eggman Empire is attacking!" Leading the trio to answer in bored unison. "So...?" The guard remarks. "Well this seems to be pretty serious." To which Naugus sarcastically remarks. "So Tuesday then? With the depressed guard confirming that it is Tuesday.
Castle Acorn was scrambling as Sally and Nicole were taking charge of the defense. As the barriers and point defense platforms activate and begin the counterattack. Sally inwardly curses complaining that she should have expected that Eggman had been keeping tabs somehow. Only for a second alarm to trigger as the Egg fleet launches numerous giant robots The Battle Eggman Robo and 10 other variants of the Mass produced version which start wreaking havoc everywhere. Sally and Nicole look on in shock at how the situation has escalated. Only for things to get worse an army of Egg pawns, Egg knights, Egg bishops and the Egg Emperor mech suit flanked by a pair of Flying Egg beaters itself are storming the castle. Sally questions how can this get any worse only to find that Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles have been intercepted by E-102 Beta mk II, E-103 Delta, E-104 Epsilon, E-106 Eta and E-113 Xi. While any potential backup is being held back by the rest of the badnik horde. Who is fighting the Acorn guards and the local GUN garrison at once.
The E-100 badniks take on their opponents with Eta gunning after Sonic, Beta and Tails fighting each other in the sky, Xi running circles around Knuckles. Taking potshots at the echidna before fleeing into the distance, With Delta and Epsilon shooting at anyone they can get their hands on. The former peppering the field with a spray of bullets and the latter using powerful homing missiles. GUN Hazred's open fire at the Egg bosses who are in the giant mechs with the soldiers doing what they can to hold them off.
Gadget and Shortfuse are running to the scene while Silver is helping with the evacuations. Thankfully Shortfuse can tank the badniks worst attacks and plow straight thru them. "So how do you like that?!" The cybernik boasts while the rookie shoots at the enemy with his Wispons. "Man you don't talk much do ya kid?" Shortfuse remarks only to be ignored by the silent combatant. Then Mighty the armadillo chucks a tank into the distance while Ray the squirrel flying from above asks if they need a hand. With Shortfuse leaving with the other two while uses his grappling hook to take the high ground.
Silver continues to help with the evacuation as he guards the lamppost terminal from invading hordes with his telekinesis attacks. Sleet noticing the situation orders Dingo to smash the place only to be stopped by Silver who uses his power to trip up Dingo's mech causing it to crash into the ground. Unbeknownst to the two Sleet used the chance to destroy the building with the star post using a high caliber railgun. Cratering the area and killing anyone inside instantly. While he laughs like a maniac and stating. "You filthy rodents deserve this! Before you came along I was the biggest and baddest bounty hunter in Mobius! And now i've been reduced to taking orders from the doctor. Now die!" As Sleet readies his railgun as well as several missile launchers aiming them at Silver and Dingo. Both Silver and Dingo are shocked to see this. As Dingo pleads for mercy for his partner. Which is ignored by Sleet who simply states. "You've been an useful tool Dingo. But lumbering idiots like you can be replaced." Before firing his weapons at the duo. Silver tried to stop the magnetically launched slug and fifty high explosive missiles but could only do so much. It all seemed lost until a large energy barrier appeared and blocked all of the explosions. Saving everyone that was left there. While flashes of fire and lightning obliterated Sleet's weaponry. "Are you guys alright?" Bunker asked as she was revealed to be behind the barrier and the groups rescue. While Monkey Khan and Dulcy attacked Sleet. With Khan using his martial arts skills and sheer power to dismantle the 18 meter monster. Complete with a blow that craked the armor surrounding the generator which Dulcy followed with a stream of fire that caused the chaos drive to overheat and overload. Sleet desperately tries to eject only for the ejection system to fail leaving him trapped in the epicenter of a small nuclear explosion. Giving the ex-bounty hunter a quick yet horrifying death. Leaving what little remains as little more than burnt charcoal.
As Dingo tries to escape his mech. He is intercepted by Silver and Bunker forcing the Egg boss to surrender. "Err... Is it too late to defect?" Dingo remarks as he is being stared down by a group of very angry freedom fighters. Complete with Khan punching the goliath in the face. Knocking him out cold. "I'll make sure this criminal is taken in by the authorities. You guys should go help Sonic." Silver agrees and he and Bunker mount Dulcy and fly off while the Monkey king hauls off his prisoner.
"Sleet is dead!" Arms replies in horror. While Franky merely shrugs it off as he smashes a building with his bare fists. Humpty merely complains as he is tanking artillery round his barrier for the two. "We're gonna die here aren't we?! It's just like what happened with Axel. We're going to be sacrificed for Eggman's sake!" Only to have his mech donuted by Franky himself. Causing it to explode and killing the robot. "Fool! Eggman is great! Eggman is mighty! And we shall be victorious in the name of the great and glorious Dr. Eggman!" Arms merely replies. "That's nice and all Frank. But you do know that Humpty was keeping the defenses at bay right?" As if on cue a pair of Agile ring Thunderhawks fire missile missiles on the duo causing them both to be damaged. In a berserker rage Franky tries to swat down the planes only for them to dodge the brute's cumbersome blows. Although one of them crashes by sheer happenstance as it fails a turn taking it out. Arms tries to get some cheap shots in. Only for an Artillery equipped Thunderhawk to use it's 360 meter impulse launcher to fire down on the Eggman robo. With the powerful beam cutting it clean in half. Destroying both the mech and Arms. "Arms no!" Franky screams as the Agile Thunderhawks fire ionized blasts at his mech causing it to be temporarily blinded as a GUN Belka takes the initiative to skewer the robot with multiple swords from behind. First the twin Neptune blades in the stomach and chest. And later using its beam sabers to skewer the arms and legs before retreating. With the Artillery Thunderhawk finishing it off with its Gatling side gun and heavy missile barrage. Causing a spectacular explosion that annihilates the machine.
In the distance Eggman watches over the battlefield being guarded by Metal Sonic. After being reported that four of his Egg bosses have been killed. He angrily takes to the field. "If you want to kill someone. Do it yourself!" With Metal heading straight for Sonic.
Maw is coordinating the battlefield around castle Acorn gleefully enjoying the carnage. He then takes notice of Amy Rose who is tearing thru the battlefield like a playable character from Dynasty Warriors. Maw arms his suit mounted Gatling cannon which is almost as big as his robot and decides to rain fire on the hedgehog annihilating the bridge where she was on and boasting that Amy Rose is dead. Unaware that she was saved by Nicole. Antoine meanwhile is coordinating the defense cursing his misfortune. "If only Bunnie was here! We could." Only to be stopped by King Nigel himself. "Your majesty." "It's fine, after all. We have strong friends right?" Maw is then struck by seemingly divine thunder courtesy of Walter Naugus. "Just this once Nigel. We fight as allies!" As he casts powerful elemental blasts that wreck the mecha forcing Maw to ditch it before it explodes. "Impossible!" Maw replies in shock only for Amy to pounce from the depths and slam the Egg boss with her Piko Piko hammer. "Impossible? We make the impossible!" A furious Maw tries to retreat while stating. "Witchcarter I need support!" When Wendy uses her mech to fight Naugus using her magic to match the Ixian mage.
"Well this day just gets better and better! Walter replies as the siblings begin to duke it out in the skies above while Nicole and Amy double team Maw. Who uses Aikido techniques to counter Amy's power blows and slam her into Nicole before shooting the two with a gun. Nicole shoves Amy aside and takes the shot's head on. Being pierced in the face and heart. Causing the AI to collapse in pain all the while Maw looks on with delight. "Bwahahahahahaaa! Those aren't ordinary bullets. These, are a custom job!" Nicole's solid light body fizzles out as an angry Amy lunges at a shocked Maw. Beating him with her hammer continuously until smacking him in the face so hard that it breaks his cybernetic jaw and sends hims flying off into the Egg pawn hordes who are being forced to flee as Vanilla the rabbit and Gemerl breaks out an old hover tank with the gizoid using it's multiple blasters and cannons to take down the pawns and bishops. Who are forced to flee until the much more powerful and heavily armed Knights rush in, tanking most of the shots and forcing the resurrected machine grabs Vanilla and evacuates as the Knights topple and smash the tank until it explodes.
As the robot horde continued to surge The Foreman took over from Maw and with a smug expression began hacking the remaining defenses. "So the fool has fallen. Good riddance I say!" The Nerd remarks as the tries and fails to crack the castle's security as a war waged all around him. While he works Silver Sonic is going to town in his Eggman robo. Modified with a larger power plant and with most of it's armor removed. Making it an unstable glass cannon. Which Silver uses with devastating efficiency as he tears thru enemies and property with breakneck speed. Something noticed by Tails who is currently unable to do much against Beta's bulk and powerful shields.
"Seriously why did Eggman go back to badniks?" Tails muses as he begins his plan by leading Beta to where Silver Sonic is rampaging. Who is now attempting to stomp several cars and tanks. "Hey stupid! Try and hit me!" Tails taunts Beta who readies his charged proton blast. Which is basically a robot made kamehameha wave. Only for Tails to be a hologram and the blast to hit Silver Sonic. Which causes his robot to trip, fall, and collapse into a building leaving the giant robot completely useless. And causing an enraged Silver Sonic to burst out as a column of tanks blow the giant robot to pieces and fight Beta in anger. Leading to two robots punching each other out. With an annoyed Foreman trying to ignore the racket around him while Tails is informed by Nicole about the hacking. Causing Tails to switch targets while Nicole orders a strike on the robots who are beating the hell out of each other. With Tails sneaking into the foreman's robot using his slingshot and placing plastic explosives on its weak points. "Gotta love Looney tunes logic." The fox remarked. "I can store and ship out around 40 pounds of explosives from nowhere." Meanwhile an ever increasingly frustrated Foreman is being denied access to the mainframe as Nicole is trying to block him.
"Dammit! Do you have any idea who I am! I am The Foreman of the Nerds! My brilliance is boundless! I should be the one who serves Eggman directly! Not that treacherous loose cannon or that stuffy little effeminate fuck!" Completely lost in his frustration Foreman is completely unaware that he is being sabotage. And even as Tails explosives go off, crippling the mech with the tank column adding their firepower causing it to fall from the sky and into Beta and Silver Sonic the latter of whom slapped down the former and was ready for the coup de grace. All while Tails watched from the rooftops above remarking. :Have a nice trip." Beta points out the giant robot falling from the sky distracting Silver Sonic long enough to escape as Silver freezes up as the Eggman robo lands on Silver. Exploding violently killing Silver Sonic as for Foreman he also gets blown up utterly unaware of the situation as he screams and rages like the Angry German kid as he fails to hack the castle with Tails cringing for a moment before quipping. "See you next fall." Before aiming a large thunderball cannon at the celebrating Beta. Sniping the unaware robot from the sides causing a chain reaction that causes him to violently explode.
Knuckles is still fighting Xi. Who continues his assault alongside Delta and Epsilon who keep shooting the guardian pinning him down who gets angrier and angrier during the battle to the point that when Xi lunges in for the kill. Knuckles grabs Xi in the face using the E-100 unit and using it as a human shield before ripping Xi clean in half a even as the robot continued slashing and shooting at him and tossing the pieces away much to the shock of Delta and Epsilon who started to walk back in fear when Bunker appears behind the duo and point their weapons at her when Silver crushes the duo with his telekinesis. "It's no use." When the youth is blasted by a psychic blast by Akhmut who is using his powers to remote control his giant robot. And is intercepted by Bunker who begins fighting the Egg boss. Silver tells Knuckles to leave and combine with Sonic and Tails while he and Bunker deal with Akhmut. Knuckles acquiesces and leaves while the Egg robo begins glowing and fires off a kinetic wave that flattens the entire neighborhood. With Silver and Bunker being saved by the tortoise monk's barrier magic.
The massive killer whale laughs as he cracks his knuckles as he orders his mech to pound on Bunker while Silver forces Akhmut into a psychic duel. With the two slinging powerful mental blasts while Bunker is forced to tank the mech as she begins to focus her power by using a meditation field buff on her barrier. All the while the hedgehog and the killer whale clash around him. As Silver tries to use his powers to paralyze Akhmut the massive whale merely laughed and slowly walked towards the resistance member as Silver used all of his power to no avail before getting punched in the face sending Silver flying into a wall. After laughing it off he calls Silver a weakling and decides to finish off Bunker using his machine to break Bunker's barrier and deciding to use a giant robot punch to finish her off. The mecha's giant fish then crushes Bunker much to Silver's horror. As the hedgehog tried to avenge her by bum rushing the giant. A supremely confident Akhmut tanks the countless blows Silver lands on his opponent. Before getting slapped into the distance again.
"So, any last words rodent?" Akhmut laughs as begin to charge power into his fists. Silver simply spits blood at the whale and states with a smile. "You're already dead." "Nani?" Only to hear a massive explosion as his robot is torn to shreds and Bunker rises from the hole unharmed. Akhmut furiously tries to finish of his foes only for his body to stop and explode. With his entire body tearing itself apart before collapsing. Leaving a hideously bloated and deformed mess laying in a pool of his own blood. As Silver rushes to aid his companion.
Sonic was battling Eta in close combat. Using his superior speed to avoid Eta's landscape crushing blows. Even using it's powerful fists to punch an entire tree from the roots into Sonic. Much to the hedgehog's shock and surprise as he dodges the tree. Dulcy then rains fire on Eta who simply ignores the 500 degree Celsius firestorm. Untily Eta loads his pistons and fires a shockwave into the dragon. Knocking her out of the sky. Only for Khan to ambush Eta. Using his staff to fight off the robot. "Don't underestimate me! I am Monkey Khan! King of stone mountain! And descendant of the great sage Son Wukong!" Khan's eye turn golden and with a burst of literally divine might. Shatters both of Eta's arms with a series of parries and then cracks the rest of his armor. Letting Sonic finish him off with a spin dash. Causing the super badnik to explode.
As the trio got their bearings together. They are met by another opponent, Metal Sonic. "Long time no see Sonic." Metal boasts as he steps on top of Eta's corpse and touches it. Transforming both of his arms into copies of Eta's piston knuckles and gaining bulkier reinforced armor. "Now I have your power!" Sonic steps forward stating. "You really won't stop huh Metal?" Metal counters. "Of course I won't. True I may be programmed to follows the doctor's orders. But killing you? That's ALL me." Sonic braces for battle when Khan stops him saying. "You're friends need you." Sonic frustrated stands down before being taunted by Metal. "What's the matter faker? Chicken?" Dulcy then steps forward and screams. "If anyone is a chicken it's you!" Before firing off a massive flame blast consuming the mechanical doppelganger in a localized inferno. "Fried chicken!" Only for Metal to rocket out of the inferno and crashing fist first into Dulcy. Then unleashing his fists with spikes at full to kill Dulcy by punching her repeatedly. Finishing her off by skewering the Dragon's face. Burying his spikes into Dulcy's eyes. And piercing her brain in the process before ripping her head off leaving her severed head stuck on his right arm. Sonic and Khan double team Metal Sonic in retaliation in a brutal slog. As Gadget aids by shooting at Metal numerous times. With Khan shoving his staff into Metal Sonic's jet engine. Destroying both in a spectacular explosion. And then Sonic lunges forward kicking Metal's face so hard that his face caved in as Metal Sonic falls. With the rookie finishing it off with a barrage of shots from a distance. The attack only stop when Metal Sonic's mech crashes into Gadget's vantage point. Destroying everything and leaving the Rookie on the brink of death as the machine landed on top of him.
Sonic and Khan rush to help Gadget as Metal Sonic crawls away in defeat and disgrace. "Don't think this is over Sonic. It's not!"
At Acorn Castle the battle finally seems to be turning around for the Resistance. As reports come across about the battlefield and Wendy Witchcart finally falls against her brother Naugus who is also worse for wear. Being forced to land in order to rest alongside Antoine and O'Malley who actually congratulate the wizard for his victory. Naugus himself is less than pleased muttering on how things have gone so wrong. Only for an intruder hiding with a black cloak to show up in front of them. While Antoine and O'Malley are on guard. Naugus immediately panics as he realizes who their opponent is. "Both of you out the way!" But before anyone realized O'Malley was dead. Blasted into oblivion by the hooded intruder to reveal herself with Antoine now being shocked. "Madoka Kaname? No, you're not her! Identify yourself!"
Theme of Hime
Ost: Blumenkranz: Kill la Kill
"Oh me? I am Hime Kurosaki. Prophet of the Great calamity." Naugus tries to blast Hime with his strongest magics. Only for the spell to backfire and blow up his left hand. Leaving him crouched over screaming in agony and pain. And leaving Antoine paralyzed with fear until Hime spoke once more. "So you're Antoine D'Coolette huh? I may not look it but I remember all the people i've stepped on over the millenia. Your wife died didn't she? I have to say even I was impressed when Juggernaut pulled that move." "You know him?!" Antoine snarled. Drawing his saber ready to kill. "Yes, he was my minion. I ordered him to take over Angel island. Kill everyone there. And then kill all of you." Antoine lunged in righteous fury only to get comically smacked around by his opponent. Sally and Nicole scream and beg Antoine to stand down until backup arrives only to be ignored. With Hime finishing the coyote off by breaking his sword and plunging one of the pieces in one of his eyes gouging it off as she slammed Antoine into the stone floor. All while laughing and licking off the blood from her hands. "And now, IT'S SHOWTIME!"
Hime teleports away as Amy and Gemerl reach the scene only to arrive too late. Amy is horrified at the carnage as she calls for medics as black lighting strikes the entire town. The lightning annihilates both the town of Green hills and the majority of the Egg fleet. Causing them to either explode in mid air or crash down on whatever is left of the town with the exception of the castle. Something that shocks everyone as casualties rocket up. And Eggman begins to freak out and panic using all of his scanners to find out what is happening amidst the screams of his dying soldiers. "No! This is impossible!" When Shadow Arc suddenly appears in front of him from out of nowhere. In a panic Eggman draws his sword and buckler only for Shadow to silently grab the blade and crush it. Retreating in a panic as the remaining Egg bosses try to gang up on Shadow in order to defend their master. Only for Shadow to use his scythe to dispatch them all with ease. Thunderbolt is the first to die as her reckless assault leads to her getting slapped out of the way and slamming into Clutch causing both of them to crash and then getting destroyed by a rain of chaos spears. With Clutch barely surviving but dealt with. As his mech was both wrecked and pinned beneath another one as well.
Morded Hood was next as he also ran away. But was outsped by Shadow even with a considerable head start. Leaving the general's robot to be bisected. Killing Mordred before he could even beg for mercy. A terrified Eggman noticed that whatever that thing was it was capable of three times greater speed than Sonic. And three times the power of Knuckles. In desperation Eggman orders the rest of the fleet to fire on the new robot. Which separates and reforms as Omega Arc whose weaponry destroys everything that was left leaving Eggman alone as the now Rouge arc darted across the skies with Eggman shooting at the air unable to keep up until Rouge slips behind the doctor and uses her Rouge drill to pierce the cockpit destroying the Battle Eggman robo. As the machine shuts down after several moments of struggle. The robot then falls and explodes upon contact on the ground to the shock and horror of everyone watching.
Metal Sonic and Maw the only two Egg bosses remaining rendezvous only to see the explosion of the robot. Metal is shocked and in disbelief. "No way... Is Dr. Eggman... Actually dead?" And Maw utterly breaks down. Collapsing on his knees screaming and bawling as he has a mental collapse. "NO! IMPOSSIBLE! He can't be dead!" Metal Sonic still injured and barely able to walk let alone fly solemnly orders. "All surviving forces. Full retreat." An order that enrages Maw as he tries to throttle Metal. "No! It's not over! It's never over!" Metal merely tosses Maw aside and states. "It's over. We didn't just lose. We were destroyed." And then leaves Maw who starts crying alone as the world burns around him and rain begins to fall.
Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles have finally reunited and combine to form Tails Arc. Who flies straight at Rouge Arc firing its funnels. Rouge manages to dodge them as an aerial battle begins. "Who are you? Why are you doing this?" Tails screams at Rouge whom simply dismantles Tails offense and his funnels. Before striking Tails with her drill. Knuckles then realizes that the robot is being piloted by Rouge who forces a transformation into Knuckles Arc who grabs Rouge and holds her down. "I can't believe your doing this bat girl! Is this an order from GUN?!" Rouge Arc remains silent as Hime appears on her shoulder stating. "No, it's an order from me. You see these three tried to fight me in that Iron Dominion place. So I kicked their asses and turned them into my slaves. Just like I did to Porker Lewis." Sonic then comes out screaming. "You bitch! How many lives are you going to ruin before you're satisfied?!" The blue blur's voice full of hate and rage as Tails and Knuckles struggle to contain the merged form. Hime cheerfully states. "Well as Madoka's shadow it's my purpose to ruin lives. After all the Calamity wants Madoka for herself even after all this time. Once she has her she'll do all kinds of horrible things to her. Break her, violate her, kill her, and then violate her again. I'm getting wet just thinking about it." Sonic totally loses it and transforms attempting to gun for Hime who simply vanishes. While the now Shadow Arc disembowels Sonic Arc with his scythe drawing blood. Sonic still furious tries to attack only for Shadow Arc to dodge and counter them. Leaving more bleeding injuries in the process. Until Sonic passes out breaking the merger and causing the trio to fall into the ground.
Hime then returns and laughs at the trio. "Well i've done all I could here. Now that GUN, Eggman, and the Resistance have been destroyed. The Great Calamity can rise again. Let's go slave. Time to party like it's 1999." Shadow Arc then flies away as Sonic blacks out with Tails and Knuckles trying to keep him alive until aid arrives.
Meanwhile inside GUN Bunker
Deep inside the ruins of GUN fortress. The GUN bunker exists deep in the mountain serving as a secondary headquarters in the formerly unlikely event that the main base was destroyed or compromised. In the depths of it's cavernous hangars. Snively puts the finishing touches on his army of GUN Atlas. Now updated to IFS mainland standards and possessing a badnik AI system that allows them to need no pilot. All under the careful watch of Nanairo Meido who has made sure that Snively couldn't try anything. During the time Snively has been here he's had his few remaining hairs torn off by Nanairo, has grown an unkempt red beard and has begun wearing a GUN made scouter like device known as a treasure scope with a magenta lens.
Nanairo muses about the latest news including the death of Commander Tower and the appointment of his successor Commander Walters. Snively complains. "You know maybe you should focus on your job instead of gossip and pulling out my hairs one by one." "I don't see the problem." Nanairo remarked. "Besides the beard looks god on you." Snively pauses for a moment to consider the remark. "You know when you think about it. If I can't have a beautiful head of hair maybe I should focus on my beard."
Carlos Cottora enters the hangar winded and worried. "Hey Snively are your mechs ready?" Snively proudly boasts. "Of course they are! They are my masterpiece. And my revenge against Ivo!" "About that, Eggman is dead." The entire room falls silent at hearing the news. "It seems that it was the cultists who killed him. And Sonic and the whole Resistance is apparently at death's door as well." Snively could only burst out in laughter upon hearing this. With Carlos and even Nanairo showing concern until their companion began talking. "Dead? No! Those two aren't dead. Ivo has managed to stave off countless betrayals and assassinations for decades now. As much as I despise the man I must admit that his genius and foresight are beyond anyone else in Mobius even myself. As for Sonic he is chaos itself. The universe bends over backwards to give him a good end. If Sonic 06 and Sonic Boom Rise of lyric couldn't kill him. I doubt a 20 meters tall machine could." Carlos asks "So?" Snively merely laughs again stating. "This is an opportunity! As long as we play our cards right we can use their weaknesses to our advantage! You did find out where they were hiding right?" Carlos hand over the data to Snively which shows the coordinates of Calamity castle. "I think its time for a little road trip."

The first part of the story is a huge info dump. But it will begin several plot points that will be followed up on after Sonic Arc ends. So even when this series ends. There will be future content in the same universe. And yes there is a lot of exposition. But I feel its necessary since I haven't had a chance to explain many important parts of the lore.
Father Susuki is a distant descendant to Hitomi Suzuki. As for why he has Hitomi's surname. It's because its a Japanese cultural thing. With Shinjuism being a religion formed after the end of the magical girl war and the formation of the IFS.
Both Silver and Akhmut are masters of a fighting style known as Esper Shin Ken. Which is a legally distinct Hokuto Shinken.
An Arc is essentially both the fusion and combination of three people. Merging their combined stats and multiplying them by three. So if Sonic's base form has a minimum top speed of Mach 1. Then his arc form is capable of consistently reaching speeds of Mach 3. And when Sonic is the lead pilot the speed would be in between from Mach 3.5 to Mach 3.9. As the dominant part of the fusion has its form and capabilities optimized for said person. The same can be said to any attribute. Whether its brute force, firepower, intelligence, multitasking capabilities and more.
