Null space
Null space, a void between realities. A world beyond the reach of time. In this white abyss of nothingness and the occasional debris. Dr. Eggman has taken refuge knowing that Null space wouldn't be affected by Pandora. Looking at multiple data screens that kept him informed of what happened while snacking on a double decker Egg sandwich with bacon and tomatoes. "So, it has begun. It's times like these that defeats can prove useful. In Null space I can be protected by the temporal storms. And now that everyone thinks i'm gone I can simply wait to make my move." Eggman flashes a wicked grin as he looks at the screens once more. "Still, to think that even Metal failed so utterly in stopping the invaders. It's clear that in order to steal both the Chaos emeralds and the Law of cycles I will have to make some adjustments. It's a good thing that I have all the time in the world." Eggman then looks at the remains of the dead Time Eater. A long abandoned collection of metal and wiring as he begins to scavenge the body for parts.
Chapter 36: Brand new world
Date unknown, Area unknown
A large army is moving across a vast windswept quarry. This army formed by thousands of armed soldiers walking on their own, being carried by armored carriers or piloting a slapdash array of mecha. Including GUN Belka's, GUN Hazreds Eggman Robo MP's Wicca Alpha's and Beta's, and even a stolen Tenno all heading towards an old castle ruin. In one of the carriers Himeko Kurusugawa was panicking about the situation while other troops try to keep her calm as Chikane Himemiya served as a lookout. "Will this even work?" The dark haired miko muses as another soldier this one an old tortoise remarks. "It's gotta work kid. We have to stop the demon king before he kills anymore people." "But..." "But nothing little girl. Demon king Pandora destroyed the universe we used to live in and killed most of the people. Right now the Resistance is the only thing stopping the destruction of what's left." Chikane sighs she knows she is responsible for this situation. But can't remember why.
As the army got to the castle they prepared to storm the castle. Forming a perimeter as the rest of the forces rendezvous around the castle. As the armies join they form a force of tens of thousands using anything they could get as weapons and armor. From guns and swords to repurposed Eggman tech and robots to IFS and GUN weaponry. The commander shows up at the front in order to perform a speech. "Ladies, Gentlemen, today, or is it tonight?" The commander looks up at the sky to see twilight and sighs sadly. "Doesn't this world have anything besides creepy twilight?!" After a cough from the adjutant the commander returns to his speech. "Anyways the plan is simple. Get to the throne room and kill then demon king. He may be strong. But he is one guy against all 50,000 of us. There is no way in hell that we can lose!" The castle then explodes as a massive fiery crow rises from the ruins launching numerous blasts shaped like giant birds which crash onto the battlefield and cause massive explosions and fires. Instantly killing 10,000 men in one attack as the demon king reveals himself. being Kagemusha herself in her Pandora form. "HOLY FUCKING SHIT!" The commander screams as he swiftly flees the battle in cowardice much to the shock and panic of the army. Noticing the fleeing soldier Kagemusha merely mutters. "Traitors get shot..." As she firs a black beam that instantly obliterates the commander with the adjutant ordering a full assault in his place.
Ost: Oma Zi-O battle theme: Kamen Rider Zi-O
As per the order the front line soldiers charge only to be struck by a wave that aged them all to dust. Then Kagemusha fires a wave that turns all of the badniks against the resistance causing even more panic and chaos. All the while summoning a storm of muskets, spears, cutlasses, rocket launchers, and pink energy beams that are fired on everyone else. Causing the infantry to retreat as the giant robots went forward firing all of their weapons only to be ineffective and to which Kagemusha responds by telepathically crushing the leading Tenno into a baseball. While striking the mecha in front of him using lightning from the sky. While those who attack from the back just explode in mid air. Then as Chikane attacks flying upwards with a normal katana to try and take Kagemusha's head. Only to fail as Kagemusha phases out for an instant before grabbing her head as another group of soldiers fire off their rocket launchers. Kagemusha simply wakes her free hand rewinding the rockets backs to their launchers which explode killing them all before crushing Chikane's head like a grape causing her lifeless body to plummet to the ground in front of Himeko who screams in horror.
As the rest of the army is forced to retreat. Abandoning everything their weapons and gear in a stampede that crushes many in the panic before a ring of explosions destroys the remains of the army. Then Kagemusha flies down to Himeko stomping over Chikane's remains with the miko glaring at her with hatred asking. "Why? Why are you doing this?" With the bodies disintegrating into green particles flying off into the distant sky. With the demon king merely stating. "Why am I doing this? Simple! I am the messiah!" Before rocketing off into the distance.
Pandora has been achieved and the cosmos has been destroyed. All that is left is a large island floating in the abyss known as Spiral island. The survivors of the purge being hunted by an endless machine army under the Demon King Pandora. A land of Chaos were the remnants of the universe are merged together. Once all of the survivors are sacrificed to the Embryo. The new universe will be born, using the souls as fuel for a new big bang.
The year is... No, there is no year. While Spiral island does have a concept of time. People do not age and the sky is under an endless twilight sky. And no one truly knows how long have the people lived in Spiral island.
Spiral forests, Six months later...
Inside of a large seemingly endless forest. A dead quiet place aside from the occasional bird call and animal moving around the foliage. There is an open field where Sonic the hedgehog lies unconscious. A hungry wolf sniffs at the hedgehog who just moans. "Five more minutes..." Before the wolf bites his leg causing Sonic to wake up screaming in pain as the wolf runs away. Looking all around the area Sonic comments. "What happened? Wasn't I in the middle of a frozen wasteland?" Sonic also looks around him and bemoans. "And the emeralds are gone too." Noticing the massive spiral mountain nearby with a massive castle at the top which Sonic decides to run towards it. Unbeknownst to the blue blur someone is watching over him. Hiding in the shadows.
Sonic spends the better part of the day. With the Spiral mountain itself being a strange place where a forest, and ocean, a metropolis, and finally a dry canyon that can somehow be walked on even when the mountain becomes a straight 90 degree angle directly above the castle. Which turns out to be the top half of Calamity castle. Repaired for some reason after Kagemusha wrecked the place and killed everyone. As Sonic looks around the massive white castle which is now repainted black and green. With the obelisks having their cycles cults logos replaced by the Reibai emblem. As the main door opens which is a massive gate in the front that Sonic swiftly enters. The inside of the castle is dark with the exception of glowing blue lights leading Sonic thru the cavernous passageways. Until finding a large circular room where a number of screens that show everything the island. Now showing videos of people getting killed in the island. Including many of Sonic's friends much to his horror.
"No! This can't be!" A familiar voice then states. "Oh, but it is!" As the lights turn on revealing that Sonic is in the throne room where the cycles cult once met. With the Calamities throne removed and the ceiling having a strange red mechanism with green energy flowing thru it as Kagemusha uses a flying throne to face Sonic. "13 billion years of history, Now nothing more than a rumor. Welcome Sonic! To my domain! To Spiral island!" "Kagemusha! What happened to everyone?! What are you up to?!" "I suppose I should explain what happened while you were gone. After all it has been ten years since Pandora was opened and the universe was destroyed. In the former calendar this would be Feb 14 8942. But we don't use calendars anymore." Sonic is utterly stunned at what he just heard. All the while Pandora kept explaining. "As for what happened? It's quite simple. You lost. And now I am god." Sonic composes himself and counters. "If you are a god. Then why am I here?" "Oh, it's quite simple my friend. I am simply T-posing on the universe. I could have killed everyone and reset the universe long ago. But where's the fun in that? In my previous life as Homura Akemi I was considered a freak, a loser, and a nobody. My only friend died and the Incubators tortured and killed me. Leaving my witch to run rampant across the universe. And I would never be able to see Madoka ever again. So when the Reibai offered me power and revenge, I gladly took it. Hunting down their enemies and following their plans like a good little pawn. So i'm just having some time to myself now. After all once Madoka Kaname and Homura Akemi are dead. I will finally die." "Madoka? She's here?" "Yes, along with the Calamity Homun, now a mere human being again. But you shouldn't worry about that. After all you will die now. Once I tribute your soul to the embryo, yesss..."
"I don't think so!" Boasts Sonic as he speeds toward Kagemusha but before she can counter makes a hard turn right and begins running around the walls at high speeds. Before jumping off the left wall and landing a side kick straight towards her neck that shatters the throne but leaves the ruler unharmed before she grabs Sonic's legs who proceeds to make a "this is gonna suck" face before getting slammed multiple times into the ground and then casually tossed away by her before moving in for the kill. Drawing her katana while moving in for the kill. Sonic tries to get up only to have a foot down his head.
Then out of nowhere, a miracle happened. As a series of scrambling smokescreen charges are fired at the room. Actually blinding Kagemusha for a while as Sonic is saved by an unlikely savior who swoops in, grabs Sonic, and flies off.
"Thank you Tails. That was actually close!" "It's not Tails! It's Touka! Touka Satomi!" Sonic is utterly shocked that not only a little girl she has never met before is saving Sonic. But skillfully dodged and weaved around the Sumeragi's and traps and obstacles that were sent against them. In a way that could rival Tails or Rouge's flying skills. And leave the castle with a small army of gun-toting robots chasing after them, before stopping. Both because they are too far away. But because they have been recalled alongside most of the mechanical forces in the area.
After reaching the foot of the mountain the duo lands next to an old gasoline powered jeep where they meet up with Tails and Knuckles. With the fox and echidna being overjoyed at the reunion. "Am I glad you guys are here! So is everyone?" The trio glance sideways with Tails explaining. "Outside of Amy, Shortfuse, and Monika. Everyone else either died in the Genesis waves. Or were tributed by robots." "Tributed?" Knuckles joins in saying. "That's what they call getting killed now. Since nobody dies of old age or disease. They are hunted day and night by the Sumeragi's or by their monsters. And when they kill someone their bodies become sacrifices to empower the embryo." "So all that Kagemusha said is true?" Tails remarks. "Yeah, we've all been stuck here for ten years now. Frankly everyone has already given up on finding you. And if it wasn't due to Knuckles you would have also been tributed." "That so? Thanks Knucklehead." Knuckles simply smirks and boasts. "It's all a days work for the worlds greatest bounty hunter! Anyways lets head back to the base." The foursome then gets on the jeep with Touka as the driver. Sonic asks. "Is it a good idea to let a small child drive a car?" "How rude!" Touka remarks. "I'm 10,000 years old just like Kagemusha!" Sonic is understandably incredulous about her claims while Knuckles confirms it. "Touka is right. Apparently this master plan of the Reibai is over ten millennia in the making." Touka then states. "Besides I earned my drivers license." Touka then puts on a pair of sunglasses and turns on the car before putting the pedal to the metal and careening into the distance. Barely avoiding obstacles like trees, rocks, and entire cliff sides along the way.
Mikitahara ruins
Sonic and company travel to the southern borders of Spiral island which are their own ecosystems where they reach the ruined city of Mikitahara. The former modern and prosperous town in now in ruins. Building razed, roads shattered, entire areas bombed into oblivion with craters pocketing the area, as well as countless monster corpses and robot wreckage doting the landscape. As they reach the inner parts of the city they encounter massive refugee camps where all kinds of lifeforms live in abject squalor. Barely eking out an existence with many of them starving, dismembered, or just plain comatose. "Welcome to Mikitahara gentlemen." Touka remarks as the group continues their drive. "Or at least what's left of it. Now its nothing more than the last remaining refugee camp on Spiral island." "Where are we going?" Sonic asks to which Knuckles replies. "The resistance base. Or what's left of them at least. The majority of them got wiped out in an assault. A full army 50,000 strong were wiped out by Kagemusha single handed. We got lucky since we were in charge of protecting the refugees. But after that slaughter most of who was left has either fallen into despair or committed suicide." Touka then states. "Before you showed we had a mass suicide of 300. Tails and Knuckles saw the whole thing. So they understandably needed to go outside. And don't even get me started on the drug and alcohol epidemics." Touka sighs as they reach the resistance base in the outskirts of the city. Where most of the houses are in ruin except one. With everything else being tents and vehicles.
"Kaname huh?" Sonic remarks as he sees the name tag on the house. "Sonic, you better get ready." Remarks Touka as the door opens and they are met by a shy young girl in glasses wearing a camouflage vest and helmet. Her timid demeanor and long black hair in twin braids. Show a sharp contrast and while it takes a while. Sonic recognizes the girl and becomes livid. Using his speed to tackle her into the wall and grab her by the collar. "Kagemusha! What the hell are you doing here?! Haven't you..," Sonic is restrained by Tails and Knuckles with the former stating. "That is not Kagemusha! That's the original Homura! The one we know is a clone!" Sonic is shocked to hear that and even more shocked when he sees a terrified Homura breaking down in tears. Leaving Sonic to collapse on his knees while his eyes flicker between green and red. "What the hell have I become?" Knuckles then adds. "That's just what that bastard wants. She's keeping us alive to see us suffer." Then the rest of the resistance shows up. Basically being Amy, Shortfuse, Monika, and a now conscious Madoka. With Amy giving Sonic a big hug as the rest cheer that Sonic is back.
That night or as much as night can get, the motley crew celebrate by the campfire as Sonic is brought up to speed to the situation. "So you're saying that Kagemusha is some sort of clone of Homura and this is the original one. And that Madoka isn't our Madoka. With the two being past versions. And if they die it's game over. Spiral island is consumed by the embryo and Kagemusha ceases to exist. With the whole purpose of this place being a sick form of revenge on both the incubators and the universe in general that killed Kagemusha. And the cherry on the top of this shit sundae. Is that we can't kill the masked nutjob because he's completely immortal and invincible and because Monika is in love with her and wants to talk-no-jutsu the unhinged omnicidial maniac into stopping." Amy remarks. "That's about right." While Monika blushes in embarrassment. "Moni-chan, did anyone ever tell you, that this is the stupidest plan in the history of plans?" Monika bites back with. "Then what do you propose blue balls?" "Simple, I run to the castle. Kick the lady's ass. Then steal the Chaos emeralds to unmake this mess." Touka puts down that idea stating. "You are aware that you tried this before and Kagemusha kicked you butt all over the island?" The two are about to fight when Madoka breaks the argument up. Doing what she can to diffuse the situation.
Meanwhile Touka is sitting on a log drinking a beer while sighing like an old lady. Homura who is next to her cooking smores looks on in annoyance which Touka notices apparently getting drunk after downing fifteen Coors. "Will you relax mate? After all i've been thru I deserve this. Joining that crazy cult because Grand General Thunder Tits blackmailed me. Only to get my butt kicked for years and then somehow survived the destruction of our base. I thought I was dead back then! Oh yeah, forgot this." Touka looks around and finds a sign saying I am an adult before putting it on. "Now I can drink to my hearts content!" Touka boasts before falling off the log and falling asleep with drool on her face.
Castle Calamity
Inside the castle's throne room now reworked to be a large empty room with Kagemusha's throne in the center. Whose foundation is built on countless dead incubators mixed into concrete and used to make a large pillar where the ruler of Spiral island watched from above. Connected to a retractable bridge whose ends hold the severed heads of Mami Tomoe, Sayaka Miki, Kyoko Sakura, and Nagisa Tomoe stuffed as trophies with their heads frozen in terror and pain. The throne itself is fairly normal aside from using clock gears as instruments with a pair of cushions made from the skin of Oriko Mikuni and Kirika Kure. All of the remaining generals have gathered those being Lepard, Anti, Firewall, Kickback, and Air Raid.
"Seriously, isn't this a bit too much?" Firewall complained to which Air Raid remarked. "I kinda like it. The whole place gives off a monument to shame and defeat much like Center did." Kickback remarks. "You are one sick bastard you know that?" Lepard hushes the trio as Anti just stays silent in thought as their mistress speaks. "Greetings everyone. For the past ten years we have crushed and slaughtered every fool that crossed our path. But this enemy may be the one that can stop us." "Sonic the hedgehog?" Firewall saked. "If you just shot them. We wouldn't be doing this." Kagemusha simply replies in a jovial tone. "Revenge isn't something you rush. Only when Madoka's spirit is broken. Then will I allow her to die." Kagemusha then reveals the seven chaos emeralds handing five of the seven emeralds to the generals. Lepard gets the blue emerald, Anti gets the yellow one, Firewall gets the red one, Kickback gets aqua, and Air Raid gets the purple one. With Kagemusha placing the green one in a container which powers up the castle while keeping the gray one. The generals install the emeralds into them and gain an immediate power boost as they burst out in multicolored auras. Kagemusha also gets off her throne and declares. "Let's go gentlemen! It's time to squeeze the life out the stragglers." The generals salute as all of them head off.
Mikitahara again
Morning has technically come to the refugee camps as everyone wake up. And are eating breakfast. With Sonic chagrining that there are no chili dogs and Touka waking up with a horrible hangover. The food being made by Madoka with most of the group enjoyed it. "This is really good Madoka!" Amy praises to which Madoka blushes and Homura frowns in jealousy. Something that the hedgehog girl notices. "Amy is right though. These eggs are great." Tails remarks while Knuckles scarf down pancakes with syrup and butter. "Yeah, who would have thought you could get good food in the apocalypse!" With Monika nodding in approval as she also eats the eggs. "Except chili dogs..." Sonic bemoans as he chows down some french toast and bacon. "Also what is that drone?" The hedgehog points to a small hovering drone that has the appearance of a small Tails flying around the house. "Oh, that's T-pup. Something I made for multiple purposes. Mainly long distance scanning plus search and recon. Say hi T-Pup!" Tails said as T-Pup talked. "Statement: I am T-Pup. A superior mechanical life form compared to you mere meatbags." Sonic asked. "Is that drone safe to be around?" "Oh, don't worry Sonic. T-Pup is perfectly safe!" "Reassurance: T-Pup is perfectly functional. And will not kill you all in your sleep." Sonic then gives up and continues eating when T-Pup begins screeching an alarm noise. "What is that?!" Sonic screams as he covers his ears as the others stop what their doing. Except Touka who is out cold. With Sticks the Badger slamming the door open screaming "The city is danger!"
Sticks the Badger is a young badger wild child. With twintails bound by ropes. Various pelts as clothing and brown leather shows all made by the girl. As well as a boomerang and spear alongside other hand crafted tools as weapons. She's not all there as she has arguably gone mad from the isolation and gone crazy and feral.
Tails asks who is behind the attack to which a terrified Sticks confirms. "It's the demon king! And he's not alone! He brought his generals and his armies! The only reason i'm not dead is because Kagemusha demands that all you meet him or else he will kill everyone that's left." Amy orders Sticks to stay behind and protect Madoka and Homura to which she complies as everyone else leaves. Once the door closes and everyone's gone. Sticks notices Touka and pulls out a knife while chuckling. "Finally the MAGA has revealed itself." Which leads the two ex-magical girls to try and stop her by holding her back.
Sonic and company finally reach the inner city where the refugee camps population has been rounded up and kept under a heavily armed Sumeragi trooper watch. Sonic then yells. "We came as you asked you faker! Show yourselves! As if on cue six meteors landed on the fallen building above causing a series of explosions that revealed Kagemusha and his generals.

"The strategic, silent general! Firewall!" (red explosions behind him)
"The cool brooding general! Kickback! (blue explosions behind him)
"The bombastic hot blooded general! Airrr Raid! (yellow explosions behind him)
"The changing kaijin general! Dandy! (green explosions behind him)
"The laser guided general! Anti! (pink explosions behind him)
"And I am their leader! The messiah who saved the universe! Pandora! (gold explosions behind her)
"The six of us are! Reibai Sentai! Shittenger! (multiple colored explosions alongside the reibai sigil behind them)
"Shit is right." Sonic replies. To which Kagemusha counters with. "What's wrong with a little theatricality? After all you will all die soon enough. The group reveals their chaos emeralds much to the Resistance's collective horror. And then activate them. With Kickback using the aqua emeralds water power to lunge towards Sonic in an attempt to drown him. While Anti gets behind him and uses they yellow emeralds slowdown power to immobilize Sonic long enough for Kickback to trap Sonic's head in a water bubble. When the others try to help Firewall and Air Raid activate their emeralds. Combining the red ones fire with the purple one vision ability to fire off homing meteors that target the others and blows them up. Then Firewall jumps down using his emerald to conjure flames with Air Raid pelting them all with homing missiles. Lepard then closes in. Using the blue emerald to create an army of clones which rush the Resistance. Forcing Amy to call a retreat. All the while Kickback and Anti beat the ever living daylights out of a blacked out and near dead Sonic before restraining him. All while Kagemusha orders a compliment of Sumeragi's to hunt the runners down.
In the resistance base the remaining members are holding down the fort with Sticks going downstairs alongside T-Pup after putting the drunken Touka to bed. "Finally! That girl is heavier, and smellier than she looks." Madoka thanks Sticks as she tries to cheer up Homura who is just huddling up in a corner. "It's all right Homura-chan! Everything will be alright!" While grasping the timid glasses girls hands who simply gasps and blushes while staring at Madoka's face. "Suggestion." T-Pup remarked. "You two should just kiss already." A comment that embarrasses both girls while Sticks gets a good laugh of it. The house then quakes shocking the residents as massive vines burst through the floor. Separating the group while capturing and kidnapping Madoka and Homura and dragging them down a hole underground. In the second floor a still sleeping Touka doesn't even notice as the house is torn apart while a giant vine drags her up skywards while Sticks and T-Pup get trapped by massive vines as much of the base is torn to pieces leaving only vines and ruins.
The remaining members of the Resistance limp back to the outskirts of the city. After spending several hours fighting and fleeing from their pursuers. Everyone is exhausted and broken. Knuckles moans in frustration. "I can't believe i'm saying this. But I miss Eggman." Much to the shock of everyone. "I know you are all thinking it anyways. He could never have pulled this off. And if he did we could easily stop him." Amy meanwhile is still concerned about Sonic. Something that the others notice. "We had to flee you know." Tails remarks while Amy stays quiet. "Anyways when we get back to the base we'll get Sticks and T-Pup and..." Tails crashes into Amy who is looking onward in horror who is later joined up by the others. As they see the Resistance base demolished with Touka desperately trying to break the ivy blocking the way. Monika summons her ax and rushes toward Touka with the others following as well. "What happened Amy asked to the panicked young girl as Monika started hacking the vines to no avail. And is then joined by the others with Knuckles clawing off plant life. Amy releasing an ax blade from her piko piko hammer to strike the ivy. Tails trying to communicate with those inside to no avail. Until they manage to get inside only for the house to fall on them all. Monika uses a gravity field to hold off the debris as the others drag out Sticks and T-Pup before retreating and causing the house to crumble.
Sticks woke up with a major headache when she was asked what happened. "Some weird plants exploded from underground and wrecked everything. They smothered me and Little T over there. And they kidnapped those girls. So what happened to you guys? And where's Sonic?" There was a moment of silence until Monika spoke up. "We lost. We were forced to leave Sonic and the refugees behind." Sticks and Touka are shocked by the revelation with the latter stating. "I can't believe it! Is Kagemusha invincible?" "It's not that." Knuckles noted. "He attacked Sonic's weakness. His inability to swim. Somehow that being not only is crazy strong but he seems to know about us somehow." Monika remarks. "It's because he is a Sonic fan." Another moment of silence occurred when everyone else screamed WHAT? "Yes, Kagemusha played all the games, read all the comics, and knows the lore inside and out. That's why he hid the Chaos emeralds. So neither Super Sonic nor Eggman couldn't interfere." An exasperated Knuckles complains. "So, I suppose that you and those other guys are all part of some sort of Illuminati conspiracy that shaped history for this day? Monika just nods in confirmation. Which the guardian takes poorly. "I was joking!"
Right then a series of massive holoscreens appeared in the sky showing the demon king herself. Amy snarks. "Well, speak of the devil..." As Kagemusha shows Sonic trapped in a cage and bound in chains all made from black rods that Sonic cannot break out of and is even now struggling to break free. "Ladies and Gentlemen! What's left of them anyways." As the screen changes to show the disappearing corpses of everyone in the refugee camp piled up in a massive heap. "Because your lives have been nothing more than tragedy after pointless. I decided to provide some entertainment. "Tomorrow at high noon we shall have a cage match to the death between the blue blur, Sonic the hedgehog! Versus the lavender leviathan, Anti!" Anti then descends from a aircraft in the skies to the wild cheers of the Sumeragi while silently holding his right fist into the sky to a heroic fanfare. "Anyways the match will be tomorrow at high noon at Mikitahara camps central square." The screens then shut off and vanish leaving the resistance to come up with some plan to rescue Sonic.
Later on Kagemusha heads to Sonic's cage to stare at his prize alongside Anti. "So you're here huh? I don't get it. Why don't you just shoot me? Or are you really that much of a fake to do so?" "Fake?" "Yeah I heard the story. That you're just a clone of Homura. Is this some existential temper tantrum or something?" Sonic remarks with a smug smile that pisses off Anti. "You bastard! If peace can be achieved by sacrificing lives then I will do it! I will save the universe! And if humanity has to go extinct to do so! So be it!" Sonic smiles again and states. "Do you honestly believe that you'll get away with this? The others will stop you!" Kagemusha withdraws her helmet showing Homura Akemi's face and smiles. "Oh Sonic, why would I tell of all you this, if I didn't achieve my plan fifteen minutes ago?" Kagemusha then shows Madoka and Homura trapped in ivy which is then kept inside a cell, which is kept withing a sealing barrier, which is kept contained inside a globe full of water, which is protected by laser grids, flamethrowers, and bad elevator music. Kagemusha then puts her helmet back on and leaves a stunned hedgehog who is kept under guard by Anti. "Didn't I tell you Sonic? I could have easily finished you all off. But I want to see those two girls suffer. Only then will my revenge be complete."
The next day the resistance headed once more to the town square. With Tails, Knuckles, and Amy taking the direct route. Sticks sneaking thru the dark corners of the city. Monika and Touka camping in different buildings with Touka wielding a sniper rifle while Monika readied her ax to drop on the center. Finally T-Pup flies in the sky above coordinating the others and holding a small bomb. As the group reaches the square they find Sonic still bound by black chains inside of steel cage wrestling ring. With the steel cage being made of rods. With the area having been quickly transformed into a wrestling ring, With the stands full of expecting robots as a Sumeragi trooper wearing a suit and tie and holding a microphone begins his announcement. With both the Sumeragi's and the resistance keeping watch. "It seems that the generals are gone." Tails notes as Kagemusha and his minions are all gone. Encouraging Knuckles to want to fight only being held back by Tails and Amy.
"Ladies and gentlemen. Welcome to today's fight card. This match will be a match to the death. Two hedgehogs enter, one hedgehog leaves. Low blows, outside interference, and excessive force are not just legal but encouraged. In the red corner! Coming from Noel town, Christmas island. It's Sonic the hedgehog! "Sonic's bindings are undone and he quickly tries to buzz saw his way to freedom over and over again only to fail as the announcer Sumeragi continued without missing a beat as the area darkened and music began playing.

"And in the blue corner! Coming from a cloning vat in TK 4201! It's Anti the hedgehog!" As Anti goes down the walkway lights shine upon as numerous fireworks erupt around him. "Seriously?" Amy complains in annoyance over the spectacle while Knuckles simply states. "Shrek is love, Shrek is life I suppose." Anti gets inside the cage and forces Sonic to face him as the bell rings. With Sonic's speed being useless against Anti who uses the yellow emerald slow power to outspeed and outfight Sonic. Sonic then tries close range combat. Using his kicks to get thru Anti's chaos powers. Only for Anti to assume a boxer's stance and counter Sonic's moves. "Sonic, you are predictable. No wonder you couldn't save anyone." "What did you say?" Sonic yells before rushing Sonic again. Anti for his case grabs the Chaos emerald and yells Chaos control. Effectively freezing Sonic in plane while his foe circled around him. "What was that?" "Chaos control Sonic. But then again you wouldn't know. The chaos emeralds are sources of pure chaos energy. The same dark matter that powers our magi-technology. With all seven you can even undo what happened to your universe." An annoyed Sonic commented. "I don't suppose you could kill me now? Your endless exposition is more painful than any death you can come up with." Anti merely spits at Sonic's face and remarks. "Fine, if you want to die. So be it." Anti charges up his energy and focuses it on his hands planning to slice the hedgehogs head off. And as Anti prepares to land his final blow. Tails, Knuckles and Amy rush the ring where they are intercepted by Sumeragi forces. While Touka fires her rifle. The bullet passed thru the cage by its holes and pierces Anti's hand. Causing his attack to backfire and explode on his face. While Kagami drops down into the cage with her ax. Using her powers to shatter the cage and cleave the ring in two. With the confusion allowing Monika to grab Sonic and run and the others to take down the distracted army before escaping as well. Anti gets up and witnesses the whole debacle losing his temper as he sees his bloodied hand. "Damn you Sonic! Access code! Black Sonic Arc!" And with a surge of power growing into his Black Sonic Arc form. Causing chaos among the Sumeragi's who panic and flee as the Black Arc stomps his way forward. With T-Pup finishes the group off by dropping his bomb and fleeing. Blowing up the remaining mooks to pieces.
As the resistance retreats they are joined by Touka who smugly proclaims. "And thanks to me the day is saved!" With Monika pointing out. "Big words for someone who used to work for the Calamity Homun." Touka pouts and remarks. "It's not my fault! I had a proverbial gun to my head." "Ugh, will you two stop it! We need to get out of the city." Knuckles complained with Touka boasting once more. "Oh? And what can those Sumeragi losers do against us?" As if on cue Black Sonic Arc erupts into view screaming bloody murder. "SONIC THE HEDGEHOG! I'M GOING TO VIOLATE YOU!" As the group continues to flee Touka complains. "Me and my big mouth." Sonic simply smirks alongside Tails and Knuckles as their drivers glow. "Let's go everyone!" Sonic remarks as the Team Sonic trio transform into balls of light and combine into Sonic Arc to face off against Black Arc.

The two giants clash in the city as Kagami and Touka continue to flee while Sticks just sticks around bamboozled at the sight. Causing T-Pup to drag the raccoon away by biting her hair and drags her off. "Oh come on why can't I have nice things?!" "Explanation: You should be lucky to even have screen time again. Considering the failure of Sonic boom." Sticks fumes in anger at the comment as she is dragged away from the battlefield.
The two Arc's are beating the crap out of each other being a complete match to each other fighting each other in complete symmetry. The two then summons their dual tomahawks and begin clashing with each other. Inside Sonic Arc's mind space the trio are in a conversation with Knuckles asking Sonic. "So any way to beat to this guy?" Sonic remarks. "Just a theory but I don't think he can switch forms." "Oh yeah?" Knuckles remarks with Tails silently understanding the plant. With Sonic switching with Knuckles and overpower his foe and then punches Anti into a building crushing it in the process. As Anti gets up Knuckles taunts Anti. Daring him to match his strength. Which he tries but fails to. Being unable to switch forms like the original article. While at first angry Anti remembers what he was told previously.
Back then Monika was lecturing Anti about being upgraded to fight Sonic. "The Arc system is composed of three people for a reason. A body, a mind, and a heart working in unison to defeat evil. Even if we installed the Arc data in you. Because you don't have partners like Sonic does you would at best only achieve the Sonic Arc form." "It doesn't matter. As long as I can kill Sonic its fine." Anti then heads to the stasis pod where Kagemusha begins the upgrade process while Monika watches with apprehension. "Is this a good idea to begin with." Kagemusha reassures her companion that everything will be fine.
Back at the battle Anti tries to use the Yellow emerald again only for Knuckles to punch the ground and cause stone spikes to erupt while firing fist shaped fireballs afterwards while the cage tightened making the Black Arc immobile. Knuckles Arc then switches to Tails Arc and flies into the sky while releasing his nine funnels which go to town on the dark copy. With Anti trying to activate the emerald only to be shot over and over again. And unable to shoot down Tails Arc which excels in both aerial and ranged combat. Something Sonic Arc lacks. Tails then summons his funnels, joins them into a barrel shaped form as they begin to converge their beams into a supercharged form. Tails then triggers his driver which calls out a familiar announcment.
Final move! Finish it splendidly! "Dead star!"
The nine beams converge into one and fire a massive beam that consumes Black Arc. Causing Anti to scream in pain as his mecha form explodes in a spectacular fashion. Causing Anti to fall from the sky and crash on the ground. Leaving him gravely injured as smoke rises from the crater. Sonic Arc then reverts back to his components as the trio head to the crater where Anti lies. Sonic then demands "It's over faker! Now hand over the emerald." As he closes in on a struggling Anti who grasps the emerald and states. "It's not over yet!" As time is slowed down with a yellow glow that sweeps the ground. Increasing its power to create a full on time freeze that stops everyone except Anti cold as the hedgehog stands up as tries to flee the battle. Only for Sonic to struggle and move. Much to the shock of Anti. Who pulls out his saw in order to kill Sonic. Even when his body was falling apart he leapt to dismember Sonic only for Sonic's eyes to glow red as he broke out of time stop. As Sonic escapes he fires off a powerful surge of blue electricity that strikes and electrocutes Anti. With the electrocution lasting for a good minutes as Anti's skin burns. His blood boils. And horrified screams in pain as Anti begins to sizzle and twitch before falling into the floor as time is restored. With Anti's roasted corpse falling into the ground to Tails and Knuckles horror. "What the hell happened?!" The former asked while the latter comments. "Ugh! That guy looks like a burnt meatball! I'm going to be sick!" As the trio look at the corpse, with Sonic stealing the Chaos emerald from the body as the trio leave.
At the edge of town
The resistance is preparing to flee. With Tails and Touka commandeering a small bus as they fill up the energy capacitor that serves as the fuel supply for post magical girl war transports and vehicles. With larger craft utilizing magi engines and drive reactors which use mana to induce nuclear fusion for almost limitless operation time in any terrain. While the others looked for supplies and weapons as Monika serves as a bodyguard and lookout alongside T-Pup. Sonic and Knuckles are returning with food and water as Knuckles questions what the hell happened with Anti. Sonic admits that he has no idea how he did it. The only thing he's sure is that it was some sort of power surged from inside him. Something that had begun when he came into contact with the Chaos emeralds in Mobius. When Knuckles asks about the lightning the hedgehog shows pulses a surge of lightning coming from his hands. Causing the bag that he was holding to catch on fire as the duo freak out trying to snuff out the fires.
The group then departs in the bus setting course towards Spiral mountain. "So where to next?" Sonic asks as Touka explains what Spiral mountain is. "Spiral mountain is some sort of dimensional anomaly in the shape of a mountain. It seems to be four different biomes all spliced together into... Well a giant spiral. Its composed of four of those biomes. One is a forest and jungle region in the daylight. Another one being a massive ocean littered by hundreds of small islands under a large sunset. There is also an endless neon city at nighttime. And finally a dry desert area full of canyons and mountains at dawn. All of them swirling onto the top of the mountain where the Calimity castle now lies on top of. Which Kagemusha stole and turned into his fortress just to spite the Calamity Homun." Sticks dryly remarks. "So its a digimon adventure reference?" With Monika snarking. "More like a digimon rip off..." While Sonic was excited at the thought of running around in the mountain. Everyone decides to head to the forest region. Mainly because they have some knowledge on what's ahead.
That time inside Calamity castle
Inside the throne room. Kagemusha and Lepard watch the whole scene from the monitors with Lepard commenting on the situation. "It seems that Lepard has died." Kagemusha takes notice remarking. "Can't the system just respawn Anti?" Lepard looks at his iPhone and reports. "Well, it seems that his data has been corrupted somehow. Probably because of the chaos lightning or something." Musing on the situation Kagemusha replies. "It seems that I need to deal with that later. Lepard, tell the generals to head to spiral mountain to intercept. It seems that Air Raid will be able to settle his score after all." The demon king then gets down from her throne and heads off as Lepard goes off to report the situation to the others.
Afterwards Kagemusha heads to the prison area of the castle and enters the maximum security cells where Madoka and Homura are locked away behind both bars and an energy field. Literally crucified into place complete with being nailed to said cross by black rods and having head clamps placed on their heads to essentially gloat at the duo. Enjoying their suffering and humiliation as they duo struggle to stay sane from the pain. "So Madoka, your failure is now complete. The Puella magi are gone forever. The incubators will soon be erased as well. And you will die as that woman falls into despair." Madoka looks at the suffering Homura who is crying and in pain defiantly remarks. "Big words for a hypocrite! You claim to be saving the universe. But all you're doing is acting just like Kyubey!" The demon king electrocutes Madoka as punishment. "Big words for a glorified zombie. But no matter, you will be erased from reality soon enough." As she leaves the two to suffer. Madoka then tries to comfort her companion as she has broken down in tears. "Its alright Homura-chan. The others will rescue us." "It's not that Miss Kaname. Is that really my future? Am I really destined to become that?" Madoka just looks grimly towards her front saying. "Its all my fault... It's because I left you alone... But that is not you Homura-chan. That's just a monster wearing your skin." Madoka once more looks defiantly towards the outside. As she waits for the future.
Mikitahara city
Time has passed as Anti's corpse lies on the crater. Life begins to stir within the corpse. "Sonic... Sonic... Sonic!" Anti wakes up as he transforms. His spikes go upward, his fur turns rose colored, and his eyes turn red as both lightning and a rose colored aura surges around him. "SONIC! I WILL KILL YOU!" As the city is wiped out in a massive explosion before walking away now in some sort of super form. Chasing his sworn rival with the desire for blood.

Touka has had a Face turn and is now more or less with the Resistance. And yes Touka is a legal adult regardless of her form. Becoming an expy of Mimi Atachi another adult with the body of a child.
The black rods are a direct expy of Pain's chakra rods. Which a similar purpose which is to manipulate magical or Chaos energy which are both formed from the same black matter that allows the creation of mana. With Chaos radiation being a purer manifestation of mana than what Incubators or the IFS can produce. Essential.n anti-magic version of the technique,
T-Pup's speaking pattern is directly based of HK-47. Not just because Omega is based more off the characterization of the games. While Gemerl is based off his Archie portrayal. Also I think that its hilarious that an adorable toy drone both acts and speaks like a psychotic killbot.
