"Adrien, our friends are going to be here in five minutes and your laying on the couch?" Marinette could hear her voice rising a few octaves. Sure, Adrien deserved to put his feet up after a long day at the office, but not when they had company coming and the living room looked like a pig pen?
"I didn't know you were going to quit fashion and become an opera singer, Bugaboo," Adrien grinned. "Don't worry, we'll use our powers and the living room will be clean as a whistle in five minutes."
Marinette crossed her arms. "You better not run away if my Lucky Charm is a vacuum cleaner. Even with powers, I can't do this on my own!" "Excuse me, I am not afraid of the vacuum. I just have a healthy respect for it, that's all." His wife rolled her eyes. "Oh, sure. So, having a "healthy respect" means running to the closet, hiding and won't come out unless I tempt you out with cookies?"
"Let's just do this," Adrien stood up, neatly dodging her question. They transformed, and Cat put on the "The Final Countdown" as they dusted, tossed and vacuumed within five minutes.
Exactly five minutes later, Cat clicked off the stereo as Ladybug destransformed, smiling as she opened the door for Ralph and Sasha. Ralph whistled as he walked in with a pizza box. "I would never call you a slob, Marinette," he said, looking around the sparkling clean room. "But how do you keep your place so neat?"
"Magic," Adrien grinned, shaking his friend's hand, winking at his wife. "Magic?" "Yeah, you'd be amazed at what elbow grease and a bottle of Mr. Clean can do." Marinette sighed in relief. Not that Adrien would ever reveal their identities, but that been a close moment.
"I'd hire you in a heartbeat," Sasha said. "I have company coming next week, and I am freaking out." "We might be away next weekend," Adrien said, smoothly. "But I think I have someone in mind for you." "Really? Who?" "Oh, there a very private company. Very hush-hush," Adrien told her.
Marinette had to turn away, her face purple trying not to laugh. In her mind's eye, she could see herself and Adrien as Ladybug and Cat wearing shades and vacuums just like Ghost Busters. Though Sasha did live in a huge house.
"Great! Hopefully they like ghosts, because I swear its haunted!"
