It's time to ride on a magic carpet ride all over again as I tell you of what I think of the all new live- action Aladdin. For some of you, it might be a whole new world.

This was a pretty good remake. Of course, the animated one is better like always, but the acting and singing is good.

The actor who played Aladdin was really good. He was a good choice for him. He looks like the animated one, and even sings like him.

Genie was good enough. He wasn't as funny, and of course no one can ever replace Robin Williams' performance of him. Will Smith knew it, and didn't want to do it at first. But he did his own thing, and what he did was once again, good enough.

They have a new song for Princess Jasmine in this. It's a good song for her. Of course, they have the other songs as well. Sadly, 'Proud of Your Boy' from the broadway and a deleted song from the original isn't.

Iago in this acts like a real parrot the whole time, and never as the sarcastic, wisecracking bird from the original.

Jafar in this isn't as intimidating as the first, and he doesn't sing a reprise as he reveals Aladdin's true identity to Jasmine.

Jasmine also has a confidante and handmaiden, Dalia. The Sultan seems more smart and noble in this.

Once again, enter a whole new world with all of your favorite characters, and a few newbies. And if you're new, you can enter a whole new world for the first time, maybe before or after seeing the animated one classic first, and see why Robin made the Genie the best character.
