March 19

Okay, at first I wasn't really planning on talking about this, but now it's serious. It's the reason why you and mainly everyone else is stuck at home. You know I'm talking about the dreadful Covid-19, AKA the coronavirus.

Who knew that a virus that started in China in December would come to the US, and be this bad in March that mostly everything will be closed, or closing soon. If you made fun of this virus, and said it won't affect your life, let me ask you one thing. Are you still laughing? With everywhere you go on major lockdown, you now know this is your new life for maybe the next two weeks, maybe months, who knows? You have to realize the error of your ways, and think twice about what you joke about in the future. Because this, this right now, isn't so funny.

Donald Trump said last week that this virus is a global pandemic. He banned travel to Europe. Love or hate him, you must admit, this is a smart move right now. This isn't like the Muslim ban that he did before. He did this ban because he cares about American health. He's taking this seriously, and we all need this right now.

Now what's interesting, and kind of creepy is that all of the years that ended in a '20' had an outbreak of some kind. Don't believe me, or understand? I'll break it down for you. 1720 was the Great Plague, 1820 was 1st Cholera Pandemic, 1920 was the Spanish Flu, and now the coronavirus in 2020. So, anyone that will live in 100 more years in 2120 can warn their people of upcoming doom. That, or maybe time travel. I don't know if this is exactly true, but this is what Steve showed me.

Now the good news is some late night hosts will upload videos on theirYouTube channels of their home lives every day, updating us, and chatting with us. It's nice because we get to see into their home lives. We get to see their families, and learn something about them that we never knew about them before. For example, did you know that Jimmy Fallon lives in like a giant cabin like house with a slide? Go to his YouTube channel if you don't believe me. It's crazy, man! Go to all of the late night hosts that are doing this. They all didn't have to, but they did for us so that our lives at home can be a bit more enjoyable, and we can look forewords to something.

That's the nice thing about living in this day and age. You can do more stuff that people 100 years ago couldn't do. You can play video games, surf the Internet, FaceTime with you love ones, and more. We are so lucky that way. Imagine if you couldn't do all of that. You won't know what to do with yourself.

You'll know how I feel now, being cooped up all day. But this is not the end of the world. You don't need 50 rolls of toilet paper. All of the pandemics in the past came and went. This will too. If China cases of people with this disease are decreasing, so will America, and the rest of the world. Just give it a few weeks. We will survive. Things will get better, and you can live your daily lives once again. Be safe and healthy!
