April 1st
I'm going to talk about the COVID-19 pandemic again. And this, sadly isn't an April's Fools Day prank. No, seriously, it isn't.
Donald Trump said that we're going to be isolated for at least until the end of April.A whole month! That means like St. Patrick's Day, we'll spend April's Fools Day, Easter, and Earth Day in fear, spending them at home. At least this Earth Day, Earth will be less polluted because of lots of schools and businesses closed.
Francine is worried, as well as all of us, about her adoptive father. He refuses to spend all days indoors. Her stepmom, however, is taking this much more seriously. She tries to warn him of going out, and not staying six feet away from people. But no matter what she tries, he still refuses to practice isolation. You think since this started in their country, he'll take this much more seriously like his wife, but nope, not in the least bit! One day, he'll get it, and it'll be his own fault! We all pray for his health.
The good news about all of this is people online are staying positive. They're online videos of famous songs being parodied about the disease. There is also the fact that Italy is having sing- alongs on their balconies. Even the Italian police are joining n the fun by dancing in the streets!
Meanwhile in Chicago, at the Shedd Aquarium, penguins are being freed to run loose, and have their own personal tour of the place because of no humans allowed to be there, no visitors anyway. I imagine the employees are still there to feed them. Hayley thinks this is cute, and these kinds of news is what we need in these dark times, and all of us couldn't agree more!
Steve showed me an article online before I began this blog about April Fool's Day being cancelled this year due to the virus. They say that people can't prove fact or fiction when it comes to talking about the Coronavirus. They even will go so far as arresting people that are making Covid-19 jokes! It is serious, so I understand why it'll offend some people. But cancel April Fool's Day for everyone? Ha, I don't think so! They can't stop everyone from wanting to make jokes. We need to have some humor in these times, and have some fun, especially right now. This could be all a joke, but then it probably isn't. Or maybe it is. I don't know. I can't take what's serious or not on April 1st. But don't listen to them, have some fun today; you're need it! If you don't make Covid-19 jokes today, you should be good.
I read another article about someone who tried to isolate himself for 30 days for an experiment. It didn't work, and he caved in after 20 days. But now, it looks like he'll have no choice. I wonder of what he thinks of this now.
I might make several blogs throughout April so you readers can read something during these difficult times. I said I might, so don't go after me if I don't. I won't post everyday though. That might be too much. I'll try to post as much this month as I possibly can. Maybe.
But all in all, this'll blow over. The world will go back to normal soon enough, hopefully in the May or this summer. We can't be isolated forever. We're all go crazy!
