During this quarantine, the kids, Jeff, and I have been surfing the internet, finding new exciting videos to watch and a series to binge. One of those series is the Holderness Family.
The family consists of the father, Penn with ADHD, his wife, dog, daughter, and son. They make vlogs, song parodies, and more. In these times, most of their song parodies are parody songs about the coronavirus and being isolated,
There are Disney parodies and other songs from famous musicians. They do medleys, or 'tunes to fight gloom, and 'songs for social distancing.'
Examples of their parodies are 'I Want to Know What Day it is', We are never, ever putting this together', Hello from the Inside', 'She'll be Missing You', and more.
Their Disney parodies include a 'If Disney Songs were about Quarantine', and 'Do You want to...' a parody of 'Do you want to Build a Snowman?'
Of course they're not the only ones making song parodies of the current crisis. There has been countless others, with other vids about the disease. There has been parodies from .Sound of Music, more Disney parodies like 'in Quarantine (Under the Sea), Wizard of Oz's 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow', and more.
You may think the coronavirus is serious, that people are dyeing from this, and it isn't funny. Well, you're right. It is no laughing matter. But that's why we need them more then ever. We need to laugh and be happy in these uncertain times. It's good for us. We can't take everything seriously. We are all in this together. Laughter makes us live a few seconds longer (I read that somewhere). So forget the terrible stuff that's happening, and laugh away!
