March 27
March is National Disability Awareness Month, and what better way to do a blog in March then talk about a disabled youtuber, Molly Burke.
Molly is a young, blind woman. She's a Canadian, but resides in America. Her mom, an Irish woman, films her videos on fashion, facts on what it means to be blind, and her everyday activities. She has a guide dog, Bennix, who she got from Canada, so he only understands French commands.
When Molly was very young, she was diagnosed with retinitis pigmentosa, a disorder that causes vision loss. She got her first guide dog, Gypsy, as a young teen when she lost most of her sight.
If you want to know more about the disease or want to learn about the life of a blind person and their guide dogs, I suggest watching her channel. She's very informative and lets you understand the life of a blind person. She also does videos where she interviews more Youtubers with disabilities. You get to see her former guide dog, Gallop, Lavender, her cat, her mom, and whoever she has with her for that video. With enough videos, you may forget that she's blind, and she'll show you that, despite her limitations, that she's just like everyone else.
