Hermione was so glad to be on the ground when they arrived in Greece. Airplane seats were not comfortable in the least bit. She hated how stiff she felt. But she was excited to be on summer holiday.

"Glad to see Viktor?" her mother teased.

"He won't be here for a couple of weeks. I know he sent you the schedule for the training camp."

Hermione was excited to see her friend, but she was more excited to see her grandparents. And it was nice to be somewhere where she felt she could relax.

The next few days passed quickly. Hermione quickly did manage to get most of her schoolwork done. Her maternal grandmother was exceptionally well informed on some of the topics. But Hermione wasn't surprised in the slightest about that.

Hermione was mostly glad that she had the rest of the summer to do whatever she wanted. She read a lot and once Viktor arrived for his annual quidditch camp, they spent a lot of free time together.

Hermione fended off quite a number of attempts from Viktor to convince her to transfer away from Hogwarts. She wasn't sure that she wanted to go to Durmstrang, though Viktor had mentioned a school called Beauxbatons in France.

"Are you sure that Hogwarts is the best option?" Mrs. Granger asked.

Hermione shrugged. "It's the closest."

Mrs. Granger frowned and looked out the window. Hermione fought the urge to roll her eyes at her mother.

"Not to here, obviously. But it's closer to London."

"But with what happened with your teacher, I don't have much confidence. I'd feel much better if you'd at least consider another option."

"I will," Hermione said.

She did think it over. But she wasn't any closer to changing her mind when she got her book list for Hogwarts. They packed up and headed back to England, though both of her parents were trying to change her mind.
