Later on, as the sun began to rise on a new dawn, they made it back to Hiro's garage where he had the head to mask them with their own super suits.
"Arms up," Hiro told the group aside from Peter.
Peter saw his suit would be enough to help him fight Yokai.
Hey, the guy doesn't make the effort for a more menacing suit, he doesn't get a more menacing name.
But he knew that Peni would need a new suit if she was going to go out again as SP//DR, considering the last suit exploded. Teresa also needed her wings fixed and saw that maybe a stronger material for her wings would be a good idea.
Hiro then pulled up the neurotransmitter and mask on the screen to explain his plan. "The neurotransmitter must be in his mask. We get the mask, and he can't control the bots. Game over."
Then came the best part (to Peter) the suit-up montage.
GoGo wears a black-and-yellow suit of armor with yellow maglev discs on her wrists and boots (each sporting a red spot in the center), a matching helmet, and black underclothing with a hint of red linings.
The suit helps GoGo manipulate her velocity to reach speeds faster than a common athlete can achieve. With her maglev discs, the high speed can be used for offense as they will make the discs incredibly cutting, heated and powerful, enabling her to tear through hard objects but only at a proper momentum.
Honey's outfit consists of a lavender dress with white linings, dark magenta sleeves and tights, purple platform heels, and pink armor with a belt to match. She does never wear her glasses but instead wears a purple helmet with orange highlights over her head. Her helmet had a transparent visor that covered her whole face.
Her capabilities consist of a chemical purse that was invented separately and had access to the entire table of elements. With this, she could make small ball-filled chemicals for her to use as projectiles.
Wasabi dons a mostly green, almost turquoise armor, accompanied by what appears to be Japanese cropped pants with particular patterns layered over them. His jikatabi fashion also remains intact with his armor, though given red linings to accompany the black.
The gauntlets on Wasabi's suit contain a pair of retractable plasma blades that can form different shapes of the blade. The blades use the same laser technology as breakdown spectroscopy, they are razor sharp and can slice through most materials with relative ease.
The new SP//DR is a bionic armor/mechanical suit that a person can fit into and is operated by a human pilot (Peni) through her genetic and psychic link with SP. It was a smaller version than the one that her father had created and worn.
This one came with a giant capsule in the center with a seating area for Peni, as well as closing up to double as a face for SP. The screen also shows off emoji-style faces for the fun of it. The chest of the suit had a small mechanical-looking spider around a circle.
It also came with four mechanical limbs for its arms and legs connected by the energy source that Hiro borrowed from their father to power the suit. The entire suit had a similar color scheme to Peter's old suit with it being completely red and blue.
Teresa was the only one who didn't go for anything extreme with the changes to her suit. She liked the design, and it functioned pretty well. The only real change was to make the jacket more resistant and to be able to hide the wings better.
Hiro also fixed it so that her pistols would shoot electrical charges while they were exposed to solar light. The pistols would charge and hold onto energy that would be used to shoot the electricity at an object. This could be used as an impact against enemies, but also charge up electrical equipment.
She also added her utility belt, even if it wouldn't protect her from fast-moving projectiles, it would still protect her if she ever crashed due to her wings failing.
Fred wears a battlesuit designed after a traditional Kaiju monster, particularly his favorite kaiju Krogar. The beast's skin has the colors blue and orange with limbs of a lighter shade of blue. On its body are flame-shaped spines and a back covered in spikes.
In addition to having black, spiky, claw-like nails, the suit has a tail with similar features, while its head has two sets of horns and three fierce-looking eyes (with the top one acting as Fred's access to vision). Its four-fanged "mouth" is the only opening the suit has. The soles of the suit's feet enable Fred to perform high jumps.
As well as jumping, it has the power to breathe fire, and the claws could impact or scratch certain surfaces.
"Whoo!" Fred cheered as he was still in his super suit.
"I love it!" Honey cheered.
"Not bad," GoGo commented.
"Anyone else's suit riding up on them?" Wasabi asked, trying to fix the wedgie he was currently receiving.
"These are pretty cool," Teresa commented as she aimed her pistol around and spun it in her hand. "I never considered using electrical charges."
"Where's Peter?" Peni asked as she opened up the SP//DR control panel.
"Getting his finishing touches," GoGo explained.
Peter was sitting on a stool whilst Hiro was working on the missing piece of Peter's suit, which was the mechanical legs. He saw that if he was going to fight off Yokai, he'd need his suit at full strength. Afterward, whatever happens to the arms, he'd figure they'd worked out their use.
Hiro dons a battle-ready outfit showcasing indigo armor. Under this armor, he wears a black protective two-piece suit that covers most of his body down to his knees, with black knee pads and steel-toe black sneakers.
Both of them have red magnetic circles which allow him to link to magnetic ports on the back of Baymax. On his hands, he wears thick, forearm-reaching, black, and indigo-padded gauntlets that sport the same red magnetic circle on the palms.
"Hey, I just wanted to thank you for supporting this whole thing," Hiro said as he was attaching the next arm to Peter's suit. "Having a real superhero support the cause is a great feeling."
"Don't mention it, kid," Peter said as he stood still for Hiro to finish attaching the first arm.
Peter quickly did a check to make sure the leg was working. Quickly retracting it into the back of his suit, followed by moving it around and putting it away again.
Hiro then started to work on the next leg and became curious. "So... why did you support this?"
Peter saw that was a valid question and saw he deserved an answer. "When I first started as a hero...before I started, my uncle was killed."
"Oh, right," Hiro remembered this story from his brother. "Sorry."
Peter nodded, trying to keep it together to try and talk to Hiro. "When he was killed, I hunted down his killer. I turned him into the cops...it felt like I got closure."
"And you think if I help take down the man responsible for Tadashi's death, then I could get some closure, too." Hiro understood what Peter was getting at. "Thanks."
"No problem," Peter assured him as Hiro finished up with the last one.
"There you go," Hiro said and finished the last arm.
Peter stood up, activated all four legs simultaneously, and started moving them around. They worked just as perfectly as they did when Tadashi helped him.
"Nice work." Peter complimented and retracted the arms.
"The last one is you, big guy," Hiro told Baymax with a smile.
After a while, Peter was walking toward the others when GoGo sped over and skidded to a stop just in front of him.
"Hey, I was just coming to check up on you," GoGo commented.
"I'm all good and ready to go," Peter promised her and showed her his mechanical legs. "Full strength and ready to go." He then retracted his legs and looked over GoGo's suit. "And I have to say, you look good in that suit."
"Yeah, does it make your Spidey senses tingle?" GoGo asked flirtatiously as she rolled closer, grabbing Peter by his emblem.
"Oh, you always make it tingle," Peter said as he wrapped his arms around her waist. "You're so dangerous, after all."
"That's what I like to hear," GoGo says as she raises her vizor to pull Peter in for a kiss.
"Uh," Someone had to call them out before they got too far, getting their attention towards Wasabi and the others, who were watching them. "We can also hear."
Teresa was even covering Peni's eyes. "Get a room, guys."
Peter scoffed when Hiro came running back with news. "Hey, guys, check this out." He then led them into the field where Baymax was standing in his new armor. "I give you...Baymax 2.0!"
Baymax's new armor was made of red and purple metal and has a sleek, trim design compared to the prototype. It has rocket thrusters equipped with its feet and back-mounted wings to enable flight. In addition, the armor has reinforced durability and flexibility to improve Baymax's speed and strength.
Fred gasps from within his costume at the sight. "He's glorious!"
Baymax then stupid in his normal stance and did his friendly wave. "Hello."
Then he got distracted by a butterfly coming past and he chased after it. Hiro jumped to stop him and shoot in front of him.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Hiro quickly stopped his robotic friend. "Hold up. Focus. Show 'em what you got, Buddy."
Baymax stood there not understanding what Hiro was saying.
"The fist, show them the fist," Hiro explains, gesturing his fist out.
Baymax did what he did, and Hiro got out of the way. Then he did his fist bump. "Ba-da-la-la-la."
"No, not that the...the other thing," Hiro explains.
Baymax seemed to finally get it as he held his fist out, several small boosters came off and blasted his fist into a statue and wall down the way.
"Whoa!" Everyone exclaimed in shock.
"Rocket fist!" Fred was having the time of his life. "Makes Freddie so happy!"
The fist then returned to Baymax with ease and he seemed to get curious about his own fist. Hiro was happy to see it worked and looked to the others.
"And that's just one of his new upgrades!" Hiro exclaimed and looked at Baymax. "Baymax, wings."
Two wings came off of Baymax and showed that he could fly. Hiro ran and climbed onto the robot's back.
"Thrusters," Hiro said, causing the robot to start gliding off the ground.
"I fail to see how flying makes me a better healthcare companion," Baymax said as he looked at Hiro.
"I fail to see how you fail to see that it's awesome!" Hiro proclaimed in joy. "Full thrust!"
But before Baymax could take off, he ended up slamming against the ground and blasted off. Everyone moved out of the way and watched as Hiro and Baymax blasted away and started to at least take off down the street.
"Should we be concerned about that?" Teresa asked Peter.
"Meh, I think they'll get the hang of it." Peter was hoping. "Did you get help during your test flights?"
"Fair." Teresa guessed.
"So...what do we do?" GoGo wonders.
"You're asking the wrong guy," Peter told the rest of the group. "I'm usually the guy flying off."
"I can't believe this," Fred says as he finally removed his hood. "We're gonna bring an evildoer to justice...in cool outfits! I'm mean, we're superheroes!"
"In training." Peter reminded Fred.
"We're not superheroes." Wasabi broke to Fred. "We're nerds."
Fred seemed to ignore the both of them as he walked around, trying to think about something. "Our squad of superheroes needs a name that strikes fear into the nests of our enemies. Something big, heroic. You know, and right for all nine of us." He then put his clawed finger close to his head, scratching his chin. "Big...heroic...nine...that's it! Fred's Angels! You're the angels, I'm Fred."
Everyone didn't even know how to respond to that, SP's screen ended up looking with a raised brow on their screen.
"Nope." Wasabi proclaimed.
"But it was a nice try, Freddy." Honey Lemon tried to stay optimistic.
After some time, Hiro and Baymax finally returned. Seems they managed to get a hang of flying as they came in for a smooth landing.
"We found him," Hiro told them. "He's on Akuma Island."
"What's he doing there?" Peni wonders.
"Guess we'll need to find out." Peter proclaimed.
"And how do you suppose we get there?" Wasabi asks.
