Antonin had a difficult time knowing that his dorogaya was suffering. It seemed as if there wasn't much he could do for her except for offering his company. And she definitely didn't seem to want that.

Her tremors had taken hours to stop. Even now there was a slight twitch left. Though she seemed unconscious. Antonin wondered what had happened, he absolutely had no idea. And he wished with all his mind, soul, body that his mama and papa were there. Alas! it was an impossible thing. He did not know anything anymore it seemed. How to behave, How to speak, what to speak, what not to speak.

If there was anything he regretted it was that fateful night when he was captured.

Rosey apparated into her masters bedroom and found him nodding off on the chair again. She squeaked, "Master, master Oleg and Mistress Katya are here."

Antonin was up. He asked rosey to send them in.

Oleg and Katya Orlov were Antonins only pair of friends. They had practically adopted him. Katya being a couple years older than Antonin was 34. She was a healer. Oleg was a potioneer who was 32 same as Antonin. They had been to the same primary school before Antonin went off to Hogwarts. The couple were both wizards from sacred pureblood families of russia.

After Antonin had run away from jail, Oleg had been the only person who came by. Antonin had lost contact with everyone during his long years of exile. But now, he had become good friends with the couple, reconciling over supper with many. childhood stories.

Antonin had owled Katya regarding Hermione's health. He had explained their non-existant relationship, his strong love for his dorogaya and her equally strong if not more hatred. Katya had agreed to come over and check His dorogaya.

After exchanging greetings and the updates on Hermione, Katya agreed to check Hermione. But she kept a couple of odd conditions.

1) She would remain alone with Hermione.

2) Hermione would have to be awake during the check

Well, Antonin trusted Katya with his life but when it came to His dorogaya, he was a bit doubtful. But, he agreed and headed to the living room with Oleg.

Katya woke Hermione up.

"W-who ar-are y-y-you?" Hermione asked with a shaking voice.

"I am Katya, Katya Orlov. I am a healer. I am here to check you as Antonin said you were ill. I swear o will not harm you."

"Ok, but where is he?"

Katya wanted to know Hermione's feeling on Antonin and so decided to pretend unawareness.

"Who are you talking about."

"Dolohov"

"Aren't you a Dolohov yourself?"

" I suppose i am. I am talking about..."

"Antonin" Katya supplied with a laugh. She continued "Hermione, here we women don't get scared of the husband's we scare them. And you might not agree now but Antonin is a very sweet person. It is the situations he has gone through that are bad. On the whole he isn't half bad."

"Hmm"

"I am going to run a general check. It might tingle a bit."

Hermione felt a tingling sensation in the body.

"Hmmm, Hermione can you tell me a bit about yourself. As i plan to be more of your girl-friend than healer. "

Katya on the whole was a quite likable girl, both through her personality and looks. She had a 5'5" height with wavy blonde waist length hair and dazzling blue eyes. And Hermione badly wanted somebody to talk. So she decided to take a chance and befriend the girl standing by her bedside.

"I am a muggleborn. A wanted, undesirable muggleborn. That is the reason i have been handed over to that man. I was a member of the light but thanks to my unwanted husband, i am stuck here for forever exactly at the times my friends need me the most. Also i have many experiences that most don't. I have been tormented in school by the so called purebloods. I have also been on the run from Voldemort for 6 months after which we,that is, my friends and I were captured and after that comes the icing of the cake, Bellatrix tortured me for a bit. Then i was married to that bastard. And he let Bellatrix torture me again. Easy life hasn't it been" Hermione answered bitterly.

If Katya felt hurt by the answer she did not show it, she replied

"You seem to have very dear friends, Makes me want to get to know them. Now it is my turn, I am Katya Orlov married to Oleg, Antonin's friend and he is down by the way, our marriage was out of love. We are neutral in the war just like uncle and aunty were before they decided to join Dumbledore and then everything was upturned. Though both of us condemn Voldemort we are pretty far from the heart of the war and hence neutral. Other than that i like reading, well, cut that, i love reading and i have read quite a bit, i suppose. I also love playing the piano. And frankly speaking, my life has not been adventurous at all."

Hermione was shocked to hear her use Voldemorts name and she said so. Apparently neutral meant that there was no need to fear him at all.

The next chapter will be up after at least 10 reviews otherwise the story is going to go on hiatus.
