Ch 27 Encounter in the South

"King Rivalen…Heroic Knight Tristan's…True Name…is my Father…" Tristan's face paled, unable to continue with the meeting. He was shocked, stunned by Heroic Knight Tristan's True Name.

Baobhan Sith was laughing at the face the Knight of Lamentation was making. "Hahahaha! Your face, Archer! It's hilarious!" The Fairy Knight laughs, holding her abdomen.

Gawain looks at his master and has many questions about this new development. "Master, if what you say is true and that Heroic Knight Tristan is indeed King Rivalen; does that mean the other two Heroic Knights are-"

Ritsuka nodded, confirming what the Knight of the Sun said. "Yes, but we don't know until we critically injure the other two for the Spell to work." The Magus states, explaining once more how Fitoria Merlin's Spell works.

"Ren will most likely be willing to receive his True Name without even fighting him," Naofumi spoke, reminding their Roundtable of the Hero of the Sword's stance in this conflict.

Barghest nodded, "Indeed, Sir Ren has proven to be a tremendous help as a Spy in the Three Heroes Roundtable's inner workings." The Blackdog agrees with Naofumi on this standpoint.

Da Vinci turns to Morgan, Agravain, Gawain, and Gareth, "Are you three truly alright? If Itsuki Kawasumi's Heroic Spirit's True Name is King Rivalen." She paused, hearing Tristan's shutters. "Then Ren Amaki's True Name is most likely-"

"It matters not what Heroic Knight Gawain's True Name is," Morgan spoke, closing her eyes. "All that matters is that he's a trusted Ally, even though he shares some relation to our Legend." The Lostbelt Queen stated, not caring if the Heroic Spirit was another of her Proper Human History Son or another Lover.

"As expected of Mother, she doesn't need another Child other than me!" Baobhan Sith stated, not liking how there were Children of Morgan appearing out of nowhere.

Da Vinci nodded, understanding what Morgan meant. 'Ah, now I see…Morgan doesn't want to think too much about Heroic Spirit inhabiting Heroic Knight Gawain.' The Caster said to herself mentally.

Ritsuka looks at Gawain, Gareth, and Agravain, "What about you three?" He asked the three Knights of the Roundtable.

"U-Um, if Sir Ren is really who we suspect…well…um, I'm not sure how to feel, master," Gareth answered, unsure what to think about the topic. "He does have the same aura as him, but he's also completely different at the same time. It's confusing to be honest…"

Agravain nodded, crossing his arms. "I hold no feelings over Sir Ren's True Name. I barely know the Man since I was raised by Morgan and all." The Knight Aid stated, not letting his Familial position hinder his status as a Chaldean Servant.

Gawain looks at his master, his face expressing "Master, Sir Ren's True Name might be indeed the Man who Fathered us, and, shockingly, the rest of the Three Heroes are related to us. However, he's a different Person not the same." The Knight of the Sun stated, "If it helps anyone here, then think of him as a Person who inherited his Power in this Anomaly."

"Saber is right, we shouldn't think of the Heroic Knights as our Fathers or any relatives," Lancelot spoke out, already deciding not to let this affect him. "If we do then it'll affect our ability as Servants to fight."

Tristan, after taking a few moments to himself nods, agreeing with what the Knight of the Lake said. "Yes, you're right, Saber. Heroic Knight Tristan may have my Father's True Name, however, he's nothing like that Man." The Archer said, taking what Gawain said to heart.

Archer of the Red Cliffs was impressed by how mature the three Knights were in this situation. "With the topic of the Three Heroes Roundtable now concluded, we can move on to the second topic." The grey-haired Archer said,

"The Fourth Piece of Rhyongomyniad," Arthur spoke, seeing everyone nod as Ritsuka took over. "Not only did Fitoria Merlin provide a way to defeat but she also gave the location where other Piece is." The King of Knights stated,

"Then our next goal is simple, we're heading for the next Piece," Ritsuka said as their meeting continued from there.

After the meeting, Ritsuka sat down outside on the bench. They have decided to leave tomorrow with only a few Servants, "Master…"

Ritsuka looked up at the Golden Saber, it felt like forever since he actually spoke to him. "Saber, sorry. I was just thinking to myself,"

The Grand Saber Candidate shook his head, "Don't be, you've got a lot on your plate right now." The blonde Servant commented, "You're trying to solve this Anomaly where you have to face your Brother Figure who pretty much took care of you, gather the Counter Force Servants Summoned to this Land, and lead everyone against Melromarc's Capital. Gotta say nobody could handle this if they were in your position."

"Well, anyone who was in my position will most likely try their best, right Saber?" Ritsuka looks up at the Grand Servant,

"Yeah, you're probably right about that, master." Saber agreed, before adding more to the conversation. "Master, you know you don't need to burden yourself with all this, right?" He said, looking down at him.

Ritsuka remained silent as the blonde Servant spoke. "Your Servants are here in case you ever want to talk or do anything for you." The Grand Saber said, ushering him not to hold back in his Commands.

The black-haired Magus took a moment to himself before taking up on Saber's suggestion. "Since you said that, Saber. I have a favor to ask you and the others." Ritsuka said, asking his Servant to do something,

The Golden Saber blinked at his master's sudden request, "Alright, let me hear it," Saber said, willing to listen to his master.

The next Day, the Chaldeans and Naofumi's Party were ready to depart for Faubrey. They planned to meet up with Rider of Bermuda seeing he's the only Rider in the Anomaly other than Rider of the Heroes Partisan.

Accompanying them were Barghest, Lancelot, Da Vinci, Saber, Arthur, and Éclair. Naofumi was prepping the Carriage, hooking the Carriage to Filo.

"Fujimaru, we're ready to go." Naofumi looks at his Ally, informing the Magus speaking with Morgan.

"Naofumi-sama, is Ritsuka-dono done talking with Berserker?" Raphtalia asked the Shielder before him.

Naofumi looks at his Sword, shaking his head. "Just give them a few minutes, this will not take long." He said, looking back at Ritsuka.

Ritsuka stood before Morgan, wanting her to do something. "Berserker, did you find a way to piece back Rhyongomyniad together? I know you have experienced it from both your Lostbelt and your Proper Human History self," The Magus said,

Morgan shook his head, answering her master. "I'm afraid that I haven't yet. The Rhyongomyniad in this Anomaly is different to the Rhyongomyniads in Chaldea's Arsenal." The Lostbelt Servant explains to Ritsuka. "I believe the only way for me to reconstruct it is to bring it back to its Origins."

"In other words, you need to go to Avalon…" Ritsuka said, remembering the Avalon they went to in the North. It wasn't grand like the Avalon from their World, but he didn't see anything that indicated anything of a sort resembling a Site of Selection.

"Husband, I believe now it's not the time to discuss Rhyongomyniad," Morgan stated, sharing her thoughts with him. "Considering where we are currently, it's best to leave this topic for later. For now, find the remaining Pieces in the Southern Regions." The Lostbelt Queen spoke, advising her master to do what he had been doing since the beginning.

Ritsuka nodded, already knowing what to do. "I know, Berserker. Remember to take a break once in a while." The Chaldean master said,

Morgan blushes before hiding her face in her veil. "I-I'll try my best, Husband…" The Berserker turns around, returning to her Research of the Anomaly.

The Chaldean master watches as his Servant leaves before hearing his Servant call him. "Master, are you finished with Lady Morgan?" Ritsuka turns around, hearing the Grand Saber Candidate coming up to him.

"Yes, Berserker just wanted to wish us luck in finding the Piece," Ritsuka said, receiving a nod from the blonde Saber.

"I see, I see, well it might be my Intuition or something but…" The Grand Saber smiles, looking at his master with an optimistic face. "I do believe we'll be fortunate in this mission," He stated,

Ritsuka smiles, trusting in what Saber said. "If you say so, Saber. I trust your Intuition Skill." The Magus said as they joined up with the others.

Naofumi looks at Ritsuka and Saber, coming up to the Carriage. "Finished with your talk, Fujimaru?" He asked,

"Yeah, let's get going," Ritsuka said, ready to set out for Faubrey.

A few minutes later, Pavel waves Ritsuka and the others farewell while Bedivere and Melusine keep him from following them.

Ritsuka smiles, waving the Demi-Human Child as they travel far from their view. "I must admit, it's nice to have you with us, Fou." The master of Chaldea said, looking at the Beast on his lap.

"Fou, Fou," Fou barks happily, content with staying with Ritsuka for the time being.

"It's strange, Fou never left Pavel's side whenever I see him," Melty said, observing the Demi-Human Child with the Beast of Humanity. "I wonder why he left now of all times…"

Arthur smiles, looking at the Princess of Melromarc. "Fou isn't like your everyday Animal, Princess. He's a bit more than that." The King of Knights stated,

"Fou, Fou." Fou barks, almost like a prideful remark.

Raphtalia frowns, looking at how Fou's answers. "That sounded like a snark," She commented, causing everyone to laugh.

The Carriage continued going South on the Road to Faubrey. Like the trip before, the track takes a Day and a half to get to Faubrey.

Eventually, the Sunset prompted the Party to set up Camp. Ritsuka grabbed a red Jewel from his pocket and activated it to set a fire. "Fou, Fou," Fou barks, seeing the master of Chaldea starting the fire.

"The Fire is all set, all that is left is for Saber and the others to return with their Hunt," Ritsuka said, sitting down on the rugs Melty set for them.

"Fou, Fou," Fou commented, leaping down and resting on the mat.

"Oh, the Fire's set master?" Ritsuka looks up at the Golden Saber walking up to him. "Gotta say, your Magecraft is quite useful for setting simple things," Saber said, sitting on the mats around the Fire.

The Magus chuckles, looking at the Fire. "I appreciate your compliment, Saber. But this is nothing too grand," Ritsuka said, stretching his arms high.

The Grand Saber chuckles, crossing his arms. "At least it's practical, master." He said before looking at the Sky.

"Hey, Saber. I realize we haven't spoken in a while." The black-haired Magus said, looking at the Grand Saber. "The only time we've spoken was the first time we've met, Lord Reichnott's Mansion and a few meetings."

The blonde Saber ponders, thinking back to how many times they've Bonded. He then chuckles, realizing that he was right. "I guess you have a point, funny how we've been traveling together for the longest time and yet we have only gotten to know each other a little." He said,

Ritsuka smiles, looking at the Counter Force Servant. "Then let's fix this, for starters I know that Grand Servants are Summoned to defeat the Beasts of Humanity." The master of Chaldea looks at the blonde Servant. "I take it there's a Beast here in Melromarc?"

"Hmm…usually that is what a Grand Servant is supposed to do. But I'm just a Grand Servant-er Grand Saber Candidate." The blonde Servant said, telling the black-haired Man, "And if that Attack on Brightwell Village indicates for something…"

"I had a feeling that was the case," Ritsuka said, remembering the Star falling above them.

Da Vinci walks up to them with Melty after overhearing them. "It seems our Enemy is stronger than I thought." The Caster commented, placing her gauntlet on her chin. "A Grand Servant Candidate Summoned to defeat a Grand Servant. What an interesting prospect to think about."

Ritsuka looks at Chaldea's Technical Head and the Princess walking over to them. "The others didn't return from their Hunt?" He asked the two.

The violet-haired Princess nodded, "Saber and Lady Eclair are patrolling the Area for any Monsters, Naofumi-sama, Raphtalia, Fairy Knight Gawain, Filo, and Saber are still Hunting for Dinner." Melty informed the Chaldean master before looking at the Grand Saber next to him.

"Ritsuka-sama, I apologize for eavesdropping but what's exactly a Grand Servant? Or in this case, a Grand Saber?" Melty asked, couldn't help but be curious about the topic.

"Fou," Fou looks at Ritsuka, seeing he has no problem answering the Second Princess of Melromarc.

"Oh, well, Grand Servants are a special kind of Servants that are Summoned by the World and Humanity to combat the Seven Evils of Humanity," Ritsuka explains to the Heir of Melromarc.

Da Vinci nodded, adding her information to her master's. "Yes, these Servants are high-ranking Servants, the best out of the best." The Caster explains to the Princess.

Melty nodded, understanding the concept behind the Grand Servant. "I see, that's impressive." Her eyes drifted to the blonde Servant, "But didn't you say you're a Grand Servant Candidate? Technically you're not fully a Grand Servant."

Everyone looked at the Grand Servant Candidate, only to smile in response. "Well you're right, your Highness. My Spirit Origins are a bit Special, as of right now it's a bit higher than a Normal Saber." The blonde Saber explains to the Heir of Melromarc and Chaldeans.

"However when I eventually meet the Saber of Melromarc, my Spirit Origins will change to its proper Grand Status." The Grand Saber Candidate explains before simplifying things. "In short-"

"You'll become the Grand Saber once you face the Original Grand Saber that abandoned their Role," Ritsuka said, understanding what the blonde Servant said,

The Grand Saber Candidate nodded, confirming what Ritsuka said. "That's right, so I'm counting on you guys to get me to Melromarc's Capital to do my job." The blonde Saber winks at the master of Humanity.

Soon, Naofumi and the rest returned from their Hunting expedition. "All right, so we brought back a bit more than we expected." The black-haired Shielder said, motioning to the many Meats Filo and Barghest got on them.

"Filo can't wait for master to cook our Hunt!" The Filoial exclaims, hauling the larger Beasts in her Filoial form. "Filo's been craving for something to eat!"

Ritsuka looks over to Barghest, who also has a haul of large Demonic Beasts with her. "So…you're hungry too, eh Saber?" The Magus asked his Servant.

The Blackdog blushed, responding to her master's comment. "Eh-er, even though I'm a Servant and don't need any subsistence like some here," Barghest said, looking at her master. "B-But I couldn't help but try the Meats here,"

Ritsuka smiles, allowing the Fairy Knight to do what she wants. "You don't need to explain, Saber. I understand completely," The master of Chaldea said. "You all are working your Spirit Origins to the core."

Barghest inclined her head to Ritsuka, appreciating her master being considerate. "T-Thank you, master." The Fairy Knight said, showing her gratitude.

Naofumi sighs, scratching the back of his head, "Well, better start prepping the meats." The Shielder said, walking over to the Carriage to grab some cooking tools.

Raphtalia looks at her master, about to join him. "I'll lend a hand, Naofumi-sama. With this large amount of Meats, it'll take a lot of time to prep them." The Pseudo-Servant said, wanting to help the black-haired Hero.

"Then I shall lend a hand too," Barghest said, standing beside Filo. "Believe it or not, I have experience with cooking as well." The Fairy explains, wanting to assist with the cooking.

Naofumi nodded, allowing the Blackdog to help with prepping the Meats. "Alright, let's get going,"

After preparing the Meats and cooking them right for consumption, Arthur, Lancelot, Castoria, and Éclair returned after patrolling and setting a Bounded Field around the Camp.

They all enjoy the Meal that Naofumi, Raphtalia, and Barghest prepared, resting for the Night before heading to Faubrey.

Somewhere in the Southern Country, the Heroic Knight Lancelot Party and Heroic Knight Gawain were traveling through a path Melromarc had discovered.

"So this Path leads us to the Southern Country?" Motoyasu asked his Heroic Knight Aid.

Myne smiles, turning to the blonde-haired Pseudo-Servant. "That's right, the Scouts we've sent have discovered a way into the Southern Country without breaking any International Laws." The red-haired Bitch said, explaining to the Lancer. "The Scouts also said it passes through Faubrey and into the most Southern Countries."

Motoyasu smiles, seeing they're practically walking through undetected. "That's great Myne, we're already pressed on time, and with this Path, we can intercept Ritsuka before he gets further down to that Ruin!" The Heroic Knight said, being optimistic with the plan they have,

Ren overheard everything that the First Princess and Motoyasu were saying. 'Really, Motoyasu? Do you really believe that this was not breaking any International Affairs?' The Heroic Knight saw the King's trusted Knight on the Roundtable and continued speaking with Heroic Knight Aid Guinevere. 'Myne has Motoyasu wrapped around his finger…the only Person who could possibly make Motoyasu see the truth is-'

"Ren," The Heroic Knight was brought back from his ponder, seeing Motoyasu calling for him.

"Hmm? What is it, Motoyasu?" The Saber asked the Brother of the Chaldean master.

Motoyasu, Myne, and the rest of them look at the black-haired Saber, seeing him being quiet. "You've been awfully quiet, is something on your mind?" The blonde Pseudo-Servant asked his fellow Roundtable member.

Ren looks up, answering Heroic Knight Lancelot. "I'm just thinking of what we would do once we encounter Fujimaru and his group?" The black-haired Saber explains, curious about what will they do when they meet with them.

Myne quickly answered the question, not given Heroic Knight Lancelot to answer or share his thoughts. "We'll separate Lord Heroic Knight Lancelot's Brother from the Devil of the Shield and the Chaldean Captors that are holding him." The First Princess said, eyeing Motoyasu who agreed with the plan.

"Yes, they have been in the way as I've been trying to speak with him," Motoyasu said before continuing their trek. "Anyways, let's go before we're too late."

Ren nodded, seeing if he wanted to truly too save this World and the People, he had to separate not only Fujimaru but ensure that there was at least one of his Servants with him. It's the only way to relay the message and information.
