"I'm not sure about this, Lord Hades," Percy began uncomfortably, his heart pounding in his chest.
"Oh shut up and stop whining," Nico snickered, amused by Percy's nervousness.
"Easy for you to say," Percy retorted, glaring. "You're not the bait."
"Perseus, stop exaggerating every little thing," Hades groaned, tapping his foot down impatiently. "If worse comes to worse, you've got me and Nico to save you." His words did give Percy some reassurance. Not much can get past one of the most powerful gods in the Greek pantheon. Plus, only yesterday Percy had seen how brutal Nico would be with a sword.
"But why does it have to be her!?" Percy wailed, anxiety and irritancy getting the better of him.
"Because your other cousin is there as well. It's going to be sooo hilarious," Nico grinned ear to ear, whilst Percy was shuddering. It was clear the son of Hades was enjoying the situation
"We don't get along, you out of everyone should know that Nico," he snarled. Nico shrugged his shoulders, unconcerned, something that did not reassure Percy at all.
"Too late now anyway," Hades grinned excitedly. Percy sighed, shooting Nico a dirty look. The poor kid was struggling to hold his laughter in, his deathly pale face going beetroot red. When they got back, he and Nico were gonna have a very close one to one, maybe getting Hecate involved as well. She usually sided with Percy in these conflicts.
"Oh relax Perseus!" Hades exclaimed, thumping his nephew on the back. "Just be yourself and stick to the plan.
"Did I ever mention I hate your plans?" Percy mumbled, feeling more and more frustrated. The Lord of the Dead gave Percy a sly wink, before him and Nico dissipated into the shadows, like specters melting into the night. Percy watched as they disappeared, shaking his head and wondering what he had gotten himself into.
"What do you mean by prank?" Percy asked Hades, trying to keep his voice steady. On one hand, he was pretty excited as Nico had told him that Hades' pranks were the most wild, hilarious things. After all, Hades was the god of the Underworld, and you never knew what kind of mischief he could get up to. On the other hand, it was Hades… You never knew what you were getting yourself into with him. Hades turned around, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
"I mean, let's have a little fun with your family," he said, sauntering back towards his throne. "Let's go through the list of people searching for you."
"Poseidon, Hermes, and the twin archers," Nico rattled off.
"Good Nico. Now, the first thing we have to remember is that these are all gods. They have much more important stuff to do, and sorry to say Percy, but you're not at the top of their priorities."
"Gee, thanks," he mumbled.
"Don't feel bad," the god said with a wry smile. "It took Zeus a week or so before he realised Persephone was missing, and she was his divine daughter!"
"I heard that!" A female voice snapped from somewhere above. Hades gave the two boys a guilty smile before continuing.
"Now Poseidon is your father Percy, but he has an entire ocean to command. The sea god might send a couple of troops out for sure. Maybe he'll use his liquid powers to try and see if you're in an ocean somewhere, but he can't actively look for you, especially since Atlantis is still in reconstruction." Percy nodded, deflated. He'd been expecting nothing else, but it still gave him a pang in the heart.
"Next is Hermes," Hades continued. "I don't think I need to say anymore. The last time Hermes decided to take a day off…" Hades shuddered, his face turning ghostly whiter than usual. Percy gulped.
"Yep, definitely don't need to hear about that."
"Are you sure?" Hades asked, a devilish smile forming. "Because I honestly wouldn't mind telling you what Aphrodite ended up doing-"
"Moving on!" Percy said loudly, cutting the god off.
"So finally, we're left with the twin archers," Hades said, eagerly rubbing his hands together.
"Artemis and Apollo, I'm aware of them," Percy nodded.
"So I'm pretty sure they're gonna be your main 'hunters' if you wish to call it." Percy gulped nervously, his stomach twisting into fisherman's knots.
"Honestly Lord Hades, you're making me seem like an animal to be ruthlessly hunted down without mercy." Nico chucked.
"Now Apollo is Apollo. He would love to find you before his sister does. Same goes with Artemis."
"I'm sensing a but somewhere…" Nico said. Hades nodded, pointing at his son.
"That is correct! Pranking Apollo is fun, sure, but pranking Artemis… that's something only legends can speak of."
Percy raised an eyebrow. "And how exactly are we going to do that?" he asked. Hades leaned back in his chair, a wicked grin forming.
"Well, we could start by sending them on a wild goose chase. Make them think you're in one place, while you're actually in another." Nico leaned in, his curiosity piqued.
"But how do we make sure they don't find out the truth?" he asked. Hades chuckled.
"Ah, my boy, that's where the fun comes in. We'll need to be clever and strategic. Being me, I have a few tricks up my sleeve that will make sure they don't suspect anything." Nico nodded, his mind already whirring with ideas.
"We could set up false leads, create distractions, use decoys... the possibilities are endless."
Hades smiled proudly at his son.
"That's the spirit, my boy. We'll need to be creative and resourceful to outsmart the hunt."
"What's the other option?" Percy asked curiously. Hades raised an eyebrow.
"I never talked about another option," he began.
"No, you didn't," Percy agreed. "But I've been assisting you for the last two years. Correct me if I'm wrong, but me and Nico both know there is always a backup plan with you." Hades smiled, leaning back on his throne.
"Very good Perseus. Well then, the alternative is similar. We send them on a wild goose chase, only this time, they're chasing you!" Nico furiously clapped his hands, while Percy groaned.
"I've already got a sleepy Gaia as my enemy, I don't want Lady Artemis as one as well. Besides, she sort of respects me. No reason to lose that." Hades scoffed.
"If Artemis can't handle a little prank, you're better off without her respect."
"Yeah Percy!" Nico chimed in. "Lighten up and let's have a last bit of fun.
"Honestly Nico, you make it sound like the gods want to kill me and send me to Tartarus to have some bonding time with the giants." Hades let out a deep, rumbling laugh at that.
"Can you imagine?" he said, the image of Percy and Polyboates sitting around a campfire sipping on tea and telling each other stories too ridiculous to ignore. The group dissolved into laughter. Even the stoic Hades couldn't help but crack a smile, enjoying the lightheartedness of the moment.
"Okay, let me hear the whole plan, and then I'll make my decision," Percy said skeptically. The God of the Underworld sighed at Percy's reluctance, but nevertheless, leaned in, his grin widened, and his eyes gleamed with mischief. Even though the room was empty, Hades began to whisper to the two of them. Nico's eyes grew wider and wider with excitement as Hades explained his plan down to the finest detail, emphasising every step of the operation, and pointing out the best way to execute it. Percy's mind was racing with the possibilities, and he could feel the thrill of adventure coursing through his veins. He was not sure if it was the excitement of the plan or the fear of screwing up. The plan seemed risky, but he couldn't deny that he was intrigued by the challenge.
"Well Percy?" Hades asked. "How's that for a cunning plan?" The son of Poseidon was in deep thought. It sounded exhilarating, sure. He just didn't like the thought of irritating Artemis or her hunters, specifically Thalia. The idea of getting on the bad side of the hunters did not appeal to him at all. Artemis was a goddess of great power and he had some sort of respect for her. At least she can hold an oath for millennia, he thought.
"Alright," he finally said, nodding his head. Nico jumped up in joy. "Let's do it!"
Hades clapped his hands together, a grin spreading across his face. "Excellent," he said. "First things first, we need to make sure they're all on board with this plan." Percy and Nico exchanged a glance, the latter smirking.
"I'll start by giving them a subtle hint that Percy has been sighted in a forest somewhere," Hades continued, stroking his chin in thought. "Perhaps I'll stage a mini attack on the hunt and get one of the monsters to tell them that they saw a boy with sea green eyes nearby." Grinning cunningly, Hades disappeared in a puff of smoke, leaving Percy and Nico alone in the throne room. Nico turned to Percy, a smirk on his face.
"Oh this is going to be fun," he said, his eyes sparkling with excitement. Percy couldn't help but smile. For the first time in a long time, he felt like he was part of a team. A team that was about to play a prank on Artemis and her hunters."
The forest was a living, breathing entity, a sprawling expanse of lush greenery that seemed to go on forever. Thousands of tall, sturdy trees towered over the ground, their gnarled trunks reaching up towards the sky like ancient sentinels of nature. The leaves that adorned them were a symphony of greens, each one a different shade, a different shape, a different texture. Some were soft and supple, brushing gently against each other in the slightest breeze. Others were coarse and jagged, snapping and rustling like brittle parchment. Together, they rustled and whispered, a choir of voices speaking in a language only they understood. Above, the canopy was so thick that the sun was reduced to a mere trickle of light that danced and dappled through the leaves, casting flickering shadows on the forest floor below. The air was thick with the scent of pine and damp earth, and the only sounds were the rustling of leaves, the creaking of branches and the occasional chirping of birds. It was a place of utter tranquillity, where time seemed to stand still and worries faded away into the stillness of the forest. Not even Kronos would dare interrupt this serenity, Percy thought as he walked through it.
Percy breathed the fresh, crisp air in. With every step he took, the floor crunched in a melodic rhythm. He could tell the ground was soft and yielding, giving way slightly. The cool, moist soil felt so soft through his shoes.
Percy Jackson didn't have to wait long before he stumbled upon the Hunt of Artemis in the forest. The dense foliage and towering trees had masked their presence until they were right in front of him. It seemed Lord Hades had held his side up. Percy couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and trepidation as he stood before the powerful goddess and her entourage of fierce hunters. His feet felt heavy as he stepped forward, unsure of how he was going to be received, but to his surprise, the hunt didn't seem to be immediately hostile. They simply stood there, studying him with a mix of expressions. Some had a softness to their gaze, while others had an icy, unforgiving glare that made Percy's heart skip a beat.
"Perseus Jackson," Artemis began, in a very authoritative voice.
"Percy!" Thalia said from beside her, a little breathless. Out of courtesy, I gave the goddess of the moon a bow, before nodding towards my cousin.
Despite her young appearance, Artemis emitted power and authority that could not be ignored. She stood tall and straight, with a regal grace that spoke of centuries of experience controlling the moon and hunting. The goddess was draped in a simple, yet elegant white dress which flowed around her like a cloud, unlike her usually hunting uniform. Her long hair, a deep auburn shade, was braided intricately down her back and adorned with a silver crescent moon. She was still strikingly beautiful, with high cheekbones, a straight nose, and full lips that were currently set in a stern expression. Her eyes, a deep silver-blue, seemed to bore into Percy's soul with immense intensity.
Thalia, on the other hand, stood tall and confident, her long black hair cascading down her back like a waterfall. She was dressed in the signature silver and black attire of the Hunters of Artemis, a short tunic and pants that allowed for easy movement. Her electric blue eyes glinted with recognition and excitement as she saw her cousin, and she gave him a smirk. Percy tried to keep it in, but he couldn't stop himself from grinning at her. Gods it had been ages since the two had last met, and even longer since their last proper conversation.
Artemis interrupted the unique exchange between the two cousins.
"I assume you know why we are here, Perseus?" the goddess asked, her tone still authoritative. He straightened up.
"Unfortunately not, milady." Artemis's expression softened slightly, as if she had expected nothing less.
"My Father requires your presence on Olympus." Percy shifted uneasily. Hades had told him what to say, but he was still nervous to say it, especially to the moon goddess.
"That doesn't work with my schedule, milady, I'm sorry," he said to her politely. For a moment, Artemis was stunned, confused and annoyed at the same time. Gods her face is priceless, as is Thalia's, Percy thought, grinning to himself.
"What… Do you mean by that?" she asked, her eyebrows furrowed. Percy took a deep breath, trying to muster all his courage.
"Well milady, I've actually been enjoying my life recently, separated from the camps and godly world, and I'd like to continue that, without getting involved in the whole Olympus politics drama." Okay, now she had gone from fifty percent angry, fifty percent confused to ninety percent furious and ten percent irritated.
"Perseus," she said, swallowing hard. "I'm not sure what game you're trying to play with me, but this isn't a question I'm asking you, it's an order."
"And with all due respect, I already have orders from my patron." The goddess gave an exasperated sigh, throwing her hands up in frustration.
"Well who is your patron that has decided to go against Zeus' direct orders?" she demanded. The son of Poseidon rubbed his chin thoughtfully, trying to think of an impressive name on the spot.
"Hmm, good question milady." Thalia snickered in the background, along with Phoebe and one or two other hunters. The goddess glared at them first, then him.
"What exactly do you mean by good question?"
"Well, my patron goes by the name of Yvingoneista Theoterica Paraklat, the third" Percy said, smirking on the inside. Thalia looked confused now as well.
"Wait, what happened to number one and number two?" she asked comically. Forget everything Percy said earlier about hating Lord Hades and Nico. When he saw them again, he was giving them a crushing hug, no ifs, no buts. This level of comedy could never be achieved without the Underworld god and demigod.
"Legend has it Thalia, that number one went to Venus to sunbathe, and number two went to Saturn to cool off. They were never seen again." Keeping the act up, Percy shook his head sadly from side to side.
"What?" Artemis and Thalia asked at the same time. "Perseus, enough jokes, Father has asked for you, and I am taking you to see him."
"Oh yeah, that just reminds me," Percy said, grinning mischievously. "Artemis, you and Thalia are half sisters aren't you? That's so cool! You know, it reminds me of the time when I met my half brother. Turns out he was actually a cyclops, although I didn't know that, so you can guess when I found out it was a shock-"
"Perseus!" Artemis yelled, cutting him off. "Last chance before I tell the hunt to bag you! I need to bring you in before Apollo does!" At this, the goddess went crimson faced as she looked down at the floor and muttered something about a bet with Apollo. Percy grinned. He was so famous that people were now betting on him.
"Miladly, I would love to come with you, but unfortunately, my patron Yvingoneista Theoterica Paraklat is requiring my presence."
"The third!" Thalia chimed in, getting a look from Artemis.
"The third," Percy agreed. "It was nice meeting you, milady, and I hope you forgive me for this but I need to go now. Goodbye."
"Wait what?" Artemis asked in confusion. "Hold up a second Perseus." By the time she finished speaking, only the air could listen to her.
Percy's heart was racing as he ran through the forest, jumping over logs and weaving between trees. He could hear the pounding of Artemis's steps behind him, along with the shouts of her hunters. Percy knew he had to keep running, but his legs were already starting to feel heavy and it hadn't even been a minute. Suddenly, a low-hanging branch appeared in front of him, and he ducked just in time to avoid it. As he did, he couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. He had always been known for his quick thinking and sharp wit, and now he had managed to outsmart the goddess of the moon. With the help of Nico and Lord Hades, he had pulled off the ultimate prank. As he ran, Percy could feel the anger of the forest around him. The trees seemed to be alive, rustling and whispering menacingly. It was almost like Artemis' annoyance was being expressed through her domain, only he was in her domain, and he was fatigued. The voices of the hunters were getting closer, and Percy knew he was running out of time.
The last thing he expected to feel was a hand grab him from behind and pull him up into the air. Percy was about to scream, until he heard a familiar voice hiss in his ear. "Percy, shut up and stop flailing your arms like you're drowning." It was Nico, grinning from ear to ear. Percy turned around to see Nico and Lord Hades perched on a branch high above the forest floor. "Thank the gods," Percy breathed in relief. "I thought Artemis had caught up to me." Hades chuckled.
"Don't worry, Percy. She'll find you when we're ready." Percy looked around at his surroundings. They were suspended about twenty feet in the air, sitting on a branch that looked like it was already carrying enough weight. He muttered a quick thanks to Nico for pulling him up, and was about to do the same for Hades when he saw the god with his eyes closed, a contented smile on his face. Percy decided not to disturb him. He knew that for Hades, this was the moment he had been waiting for: the moment after the perfect execution of a prank planned so meticulously. Meanwhile, Percy couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. Everyone knows that the reveal is always the best.
"Where did he go?" Thalia asked, baffled. Thanks to Hades, the hunters and Artemis were all gathered underneath the trio. Percy was still surprised that the dryade had listened to Hades in the first place, but he wasn't about to complain.
"He seemed to have just… disappeared?" Phoebe said, also extremely confused.
"How is that even possible?" another hunter began. All while this was happening, Nico was covering his mouth to stop himself from bursting out in laughter and exposing them. Percy gave Nico a light punch on the arm, essentially telling him to shut up.
"He's here," the goddess of the hunt finally said. "I can feel the disturbance in the forest." Percy had the urge to make a Star Wars reference, and had to bite his lip to stop himself.
"Milady, why don't we do this tomorrow?" Thalia asked with a yawn. "Today's hunt has been a long one, and Perseus is someone who requires too much effort." Artemis turned to face her lieutenant.
"If word of this ever reaches Apollo, I'm not hearing the end of it for the next millenia," she muttered, kicking the dirt with her shoes. "Besides, I've made a bet with him that I'm not losing." The goddess said this firmly, with renewed energy.
"So what's the bet then?" Thalia asked, cocking her head sideways.
"What?" Artemis asked.
"Well you seem so pent up about this bet that it must have some crazily high stakes for you." Artemis shrugged.
"It's not always about the stakes Thalia. Sometimes, when you're up in Vegas, you realise you want to win for the winning, not for the actual prize. That make sense?"
"Not really, milady, but it's fine," she said, before taking her spear out and walking around the area carefully.
"Now?" Percy whispered to Hades who subtly shook his head.
"Let the frustration build up, then we go in for the surprise." Nico seemed to be observing his father throughout all of this in awe. Percy wasn't surprised. If he didn't know better, he would've stripped Hermes of his title as The Pranker and given it to Lord Hades. Then again, he hadn't seen a Hermes prank ever, only heard of the legends…
"Where is that boy?" Artemis muttered to herself. The third step of anger, Percy thought, with the first step being glaring, with the second being shouting. Now that Artemis was talking to herself as well, Percy knew the reveal was to come soon. He watched as Artemis stormed around the forest, her eyes darting left and right as she searched for any sign of the son of Poseidon. It was almost painful to see her like this, but he couldn't help the thrill he felt at playing this prank on her. He hadn't felt this alive in ages, and he knew that the other two were feeling the same way. Hades was watching Artemis with an amused glint in his eyes, and Nico was stifling a laugh beside Percy. It took all their willpower not to burst out laughing when Artemis had started to panic.
Truth be told, he did feel a bit bad annoying Artemis this much. He knew deep down that after the prank was over, he would be apologising profoundly to her, not just to save himself from her anger, but because this whole prank was pretty mean. Patience was something every immortal lacked, and Artemis must've been seething by now. She knew he was still near her, yet she couldn't pinpoint his exact location.
Gently, Percy prodded Hades.
"You think it's maybe time?" he whispered. The god wasn't sure.
"Not yet Perseus," he said gently. "Why not wait a little longer?" Percy frowned but nodded in agreement. It had been fun watching her struggle to find him and get so angry that someone had slipped through her fingers, but Percy knew his limits, and he didn't want to take this too far. As they waited, Percy took in the beauty of the forest around them. He had always loved nature, and being surrounded by trees and animals brought him a sense of calm that he didn't often feel in the hectic world of demigods and gods.
Eventually, Artemis began to slow down her search, calling all the hunters back to regroup. Her breathing was deep and heavy, and Percy could see the frustration etched on her face. He knew it was time to end the prank. He nudged Hades, who gave his nod of approval. Nico gave him a thumbs up for good luck, and with that, Percy silently leaped off the branch, right into the middle of the hunters.
To say Artemis was mildly infuriated would be putting it lightly. The moment she heard the sound, she whipped around with incredible speed, her hair flowing like a river behind her. Standing in front of her was a smirking Percy, his eyes full of amusement as he struggled to contain his laughter. The goddess glared at him, her body tense and ready to attack.
"Milady," Percy said in a respectful tone, but it did nothing to appease the goddess's fury. She was in no mood for pleasantries, and by the look on her face, all she wanted to do was drag the demigod up to Olympus. Thalia couldn't help but smile at the sight, knowing that Percy was in for a rough time.
Without warning, Artemis pounced on Percy, knocking him down to the ground with a loud thud and straddling him. Her face was a mixture of emotions, mostly anger, but there was a hint of sadness and disappointment as well. As Percy lay there pinned under the goddess, he could feel the heat of her breath on his face.
"Perseus Jackson," Artemis snarled, her eyes blazing with fury. "Who gave you the right to disobey a goddess's orders and run away?" Percy stammered, his voice barely audible, "I-I'm sorry, Artemis, we were just having a bit of fun. We didn't mean any harm."
Her face softened for a moment as she considered his words, but her anger quickly returned, and her expression once again became cold and unyielding. "What do you mean by 'we'?" she demanded. As if on cue, two Underworld beings appeared next to her, their eyes fixed on Percy, who was now sweating profusely.
"Hey guys," Percy managed to wheeze out, causing Nico to face palm.
"Relax Artemis," Hades sighed. "It's just a light joke. We were a bit bored and decided to have a little fun and lead you on a mini manhunt. Don't act like- OH MY GODS ARTEMIS WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO PERCY!" The Lord of the Underworld suddenly shrieked, freezing in his steps. Artemis had pinned Percy to the ground, her hands gripping his shirt collar tightly. She was leaning over him, her face only inches away from his.
"What do you mean, I'm doing nothing to him?" the goddess asked, her face twisted in confusion. "All I'm doing is some light interrogation, don't worry, he's not hurt or anything."
"Not that Artemis, why are you… on top of Percy like… you know like that." Artemis furrowed her eyebrows, looking back at Percy and herself. It took both of them a minute, before Artemis quickly stood up, her face blushing fifty different shades of gold.
"It's nothing Hades," she glared. "Now why don't you three elaborate on this 'little fun' you decided to have with my hunt." Hades let out a loud yawn before grinning mischievously.
"Honestly, there's not much more to it. We knew Percy was needed in Olympus. Now of course we could've taken him directly there, but where's the fun in that?" As Artemis rolled her eyes, Hades grinned. "When we found out you and Apollo were also hunting for young Perseus here, the chance to prank was just too good to ignore."
"Of course it was," Artemis muttered under her breath. "So what, you filmed the whole thing and I'm going to be seeing myself live on Hephaestus TV next week?"
"We're not that childish, although now that you mention it, I really should start doing that. Good idea Artemis!" Hades let out a chuckle. Perhaps if Artemis was in a better mood, she would've kept talking with them, maybe even cracked a joke or two, but no, she let out a long sigh, clearly unamused.
"You three are impossible," she muttered, before turning back to the roughened up Percy. "Are you okay Perseus?" she asked, her voice a little softer. Percy nodded, still trying to catch his breath and wipe the stupid grin from his face. Artemis extended a hand, helping him to his feet.
"I suppose I did overreact a bit," she grumbled. "But hey, all of you would've if you'd been in a forest for the past hour, searching for one demigod and not even bothering to look in the trees!"
"Anyway, thank you all for the very fun prank, but I still have to take Percy to Olympus." Hades nodded.
"I expected nothing less, and he's yours for the taking. Just make sure you bring him back to me, Artemis." She nodded. "Although I have a feeling I'll be seeing you in Olympus anyway," Hade smirked. "Farewell Artemis dear." The goddess didn't even have time to snark at Hades to stop calling her dear unless he wanted trouble, but the shadows had once again engulfed them both, leaving Percy and Artemis alone with the hunters. Making a mental note to chase hades around Olympus whenever she was free, the goddess waved off to her hunters, telling them that she needed to visit Olympus with Percy.
"Thalia, you're in charge," Artemis said, getting a nod.
"Make sure this one comes back here first before Hades," Thalia grinned, pointing at Percy. "I think it's time the cousins had a bit of play time." Percy couldn't help but smile at that. It had been too long since him and Thalia had time alone, just the two of them.
"Hold my shoulder, Perseus," Artemis instructed, her face unreadable again. Percy could tell that she wasn't asking, but telling, and he obeyed without hesitation, gripping her tightly. In an instant, the world around them dissolved into a blur of silver tinted colours and shapes as they were transported through time and space. Percy's senses reeled, his mind struggling to make sense of the sudden change in scenery. And then, just as quickly as it had begun, the sensation passed, and they found themselves standing in the heart of Olympus.
Percy's eyes took a moment to adjust to the bright light that flooded the halls. The beauty of the place never failed to take his breath away, but he couldn't help but feel a sense of dread as he followed Artemis towards the council chamber. As they walked through the halls, Percy marvelled at the intricate artwork that adorned the walls. The marble floors gleamed under the light of the chandeliers, and the room echoed with the whispers of the gods who gathered there. The scent of ambrosia and nectar wafted through the air, making Percy's mouth water. He couldn't help but feel envious of the gods who could partake in the divine feast.
As they approached the council chamber, the voices of the Olympian gods grew louder. Percy's heart sank as he realised the gravity of the situation he was about to face. He had never been summoned to the council before. Sure he had visited it many times, but not one time had another god been asked to fetch him. Turning to Artemis, he caught her eye and saw a flicker of something in her expression but before he even had time to think, it was gone in an instant, replaced by her usual stoicism, which only freaked him out even more. With a deep breath, Percy stepped inside the chamber. The sight that greeted him was overwhelming. The gods were seated on golden thrones, and their radiant presence filled the room. Their eyes bore down on Percy as if they knew all his secrets. He could feel his palms getting sweaty as he realised he was the centre of their attention.
Percy internally groaned as he realised this was about to be a long and confusing day.
Well I hope everyone has some idea on what the next chapter is, and I think it's gonna be sick, with an insane plot twist! Also I hope this Artemis is good? Not too hard on Percy, the only good male, but not too soft either. Please do review!
