That Totally Random Voice Who Saved Percy 2 Chapters Ago POV

His screams woke me up for the 11th time in the last 5 or so days, and that wasn't even the worst bit. What was worse was that today had been my day to look over Percy and make sure that he didn't just wake up and leave the island. The whole day, I had been watching him sleeping without any sort of reaction. I'd thought that perhaps he had gotten over his previous events and was actually recovering. The day had been long, and by the time night came, I thought to myself, would it really hurt to lay down and rest, just for a minute. Well, you know how it goes. One minute… half and hour… two hours… you get it. I didn't even know what the time was. Then, in the middle of a pretty good dream, I suddenly heard massive screams that pierced my ears. All of a sudden, my body jerked awake, and I was blinking rapidly, trying to adjust to this new bright lighting. At the same time, my whole body was being torn apart from the boy's screams.

"I'm up!" I randomly yelled to whoever might've been listening, stumbling around the room. Where was the water when you needed it. Blindly fumbling around, I found something that felt like a jug. There were always cups nearby, and he poured his water into it. The jug thudded back down onto what felt like an oak side-table. Then, grabbing my glass firmly, I raised it to my lips to take a sip.

"DON'T DRINK YOU FOOL!" The girl screamed at me just as he was about to drink. Quickly, she ran up to him, slapping the glass out of my hand. It fell to the floor and shattered into miniature fragments, some of which rebounded and cut my hand.

"You know he can control the water, and the last thing we want is for the water to be inside of you when his powers go crazy," she panted out, while rushing to Percy. I knew it was futile to apologize; she would be mad at me for falling asleep. Right, back to Perseus.

"I'm sorry!" Perseus screamed. What was worse was that I had been right next to his as he did so. He screamed and screamed, each one louder than the last. "ARTEMIS" The girl spat, looking disgusted. "You're telling me that she did this to the twice hero of Olympus?"

I don't know how she knew that Perseus was a twice saviour of Olympus, but decided not to judge her. I just nodded glumly. The girl shook her head, which caused a few drops of what looked like medicine to me onto Perseus.

"Prisoned or not, one day I will leave this place, find her, and tear her to pieces with my shovel." No matter where you are from, from a pretty, innocent girl that had no knowledge of the outside world, that sounded pretty violent.

Slowly, she coaxed this golden liquid into Perseus's mouth. He moaned and groaned, screamed and yelled, begged and groaned, but the girl forced it inside him. I should probably stop calling her girl. She's like 69420 times older than me, but then again, she looked like a girl… and now I sound like a pedo.

"Get some rest," she said out of nowhere. Perseus was still crying, but seemed to be a little better. I looked at her ashamed.

"Honestly, I'm fine," I mumbled, swaying side to side. At this, the girl stared hard at me.

"You fell asleep, AGAIN!" she everything but yelled. "I'm here, working my arse off to make Perseus better, and all you're doing is sleeping when not even you're meant to. Don't forget that you brung him to me. Now get up and sleep somewhere away from me!"

It was true that she looked much worse than me, and I wanted to argue that she should sleep, but this was her place, and, sighing, I trudged back upstairs, to go to sleep.

It was at about 6pm when the girl came back up to visit me. I was lying down in bed, going over all of the crazy events that had occurred over the last few days, leading to this big one. It had been mad. Then, she knocked on my door. I wasn't in the mood to talk, but figured out that she deserved an apology from me.

"Come in," I said tiredly. Almost as if she was nervous, the door opened and in she came, holding what looked like a bowl of broth. I guess that was today's dinner. It's not like I minded. Almost everything she cooked was great. The girl came over and gave me the bowl. Immediately, I wolfed the food down. Damn, it was good! Then, I remembered how the girl was watching me, freaked out by my lack of manners. I laughed at her reaction, and soon enough, she did too.

"I came here to say sorry about how I snapped at you earlier," she said to me, head hung down. "Believe me, I don't know how you got here, but I don't regret it. I don't even regret Perseus screaming every 10 minutes." I gave a light chuckle.

"You see, I was just so stressed about… everything," the girl continued. "But, for what it's worth, just seeing Percy, even if he can't see me is enough to make me want to help him for life." This was nice to hear. I thought that it was a mistake for me to bring Percy here, with how the girl had been treating me.

For a moment, we just sat down in an awkward silence. Finally, the girl broke it.

"I have this one question nagging me. How is it that you out of all people managed to save Percy, and what did you save him from. As far as I'm aware, he was being attacked by something, and then you just… came."

Ahhhhh this. I was wondering when she would ask me. It was a conversation I had avoided for nearly a week, but I knew that I couldn't hide it forever. Sighing, I figured out that this would be the best time for me to talk about it.

"It was a cold day." I finally said, starting with a cliche line you would find in some movie. From my tone, the girl seemed to understand that this was a grim story.

"I myself don't understand everything. It's like a story book where Perseus had ripped out half the pages. When he wakes up, we will find out the whole story. Until then, there is only so much I can say." The girl seemed to nod in understandment.

"I had been in camp-half-blood on a visit. There had been a grim mood there, but no one would tell me why. In fact, no one was talking to me. I couldn't see Annabeth or Perseus anywhere. Then, a voice comes into my head and tells me: 'Perseus is being cornered in Manhattan by the gods.'"

"Who's voice," the girl eagerly asks, leaning forward. I shook my head.

"That is classified information until Perseus chooses to tell you." She looked crestfallen.

"Does Perseus know who it was?"

"No." The girl looked very surprised, but didn't raise a question, instead asking me to continue my story.

"I know how to get into places fast. I quickly traveled to Perseus, and literally saw the gods descending down from heaven. Perseus himself was a mess, as you saw when he arrived, and was desperately trying to leave, but for some reason he couldn't. I could see Artemis pleading with puffy red eyes."

The girl started laughing hysterically, and it took a good 5 minute for her to stop.

"I'm… sorry… it's just… never thought... Artemis… crying…" she got out between breaths and laughs. I frowned.

"You don't like Artemis?" I asked her. She shook her head vigorously, making her hair go flying everywhere. She laughed again.

Ignoring this, I asked, "why?" Finally, her mood turned more seriously.

"She came to me once. Offered me to leave and be free as long as I was a hunter of Artemis. Of course I had politely refused. Then, she had gone mad, and started screaming rude words at me. She called me a slut, whore, hoe, and basically every bad word you can think of."

I gasped. Yeah sure, I knew that Artemis could be a real bitch sometimes, but seriously, that was taking it way too far. The girl nodded grimly.

"She said that everyone on Olympus knew how I slept with every man I met, and how I practically 'sucked their dicks'."

My minds literally split at this. She was a hypocrite.

"When Perseus finds out, I swear, he is going to go to Olympus and give her a personal tour of this island. I'll even make her lose her virginity in front of you as you mock her." The girl gently laughed, as if my ideas were small jokes.

"You are too kind, but I know that Percy has already dealt with her. Besides, when I deal with her, I'll ust tear her up. No need for any 'dirty' stuff." I laughed again.

Despite what she had said, I knew that I would tell Perseus, and I would kill Artemis. That was wrong. She deserved to cry. That was Artemis I was talking about. Not the girl who's name I had forgotten due to my poor memory.

In the middle of a joke I was telling the girl, I could hear footsteps. I assume she could too because the happy, cheerful mood we'd had suddenly disappeared, replaced by a new fear.

"The gods must've found my," she hissed. "Hide under the blanket, and I'll distract them."

Too late! I slipped under the blanket, but knew it was futile. No matter what, the gods would obviously notice a huge, breathing bulge underneath the girls bed. One second later, as the girl stood up, the door slammed open. I heard Calypso gasp, and I suddenly knew who it was. It almost made me wish the gods were actually here.

"Who are you?" a new, shooken up voice said. Sighing, and knowing this was going to end badly, I took the blanket off, and stared deeply at the god in our room. Perseus Jackson was awake, and looked… off. Sure he was dirty, and sure he was badly injured, but what made me want to run back to Tartarus was his eyes. One green eye, and another golden eye.

"Where am I," the god spoke in his deep voice, eyes darting around, looking at everything but me and the girl.

Sorry for the delay. I've had a lot of work to catch up on. Next week the chapter will be longer I promise!
