"What are you doing here?" was what John asked the Pokémon that landed in front of the group, and it was his and Ash's Dad's Charizard. Charizard walked up to John and said, "I have decided to join you on your mission to save both worlds, Son of Master." John smiled brightly and said, "Really? I mean you can… but does dad know?" Charizard smirked a Charizard Smirk and said, "Your dad can go fly a kite." John and Ash both laughed before Charizard added that he broke his Pokéball. John smiled and held another one up for Charizard.
Charizard tapped it and went inside it and got three shakes and a ding. John cheered as he said, "I just caught a CHARIZARD!" and Vulpix cheered with him. John smiled before Ash said, "I just realized this Bro, but why not send a few Pokémon back to professor Oak?" John looked at Ash and said, "Well I want to make sure I train hard with all of them. Keep them strong, besides I still have Caterpie, Rattata, and Zubat to evolve." That was when Caterpie came out of his Pokéball and that surprised John. literally a second afterwards, Caterpie began to glow and change, Making Dawn say, "He's evolving!" Caterpie grew and changed until it stopped and it was a shiny Metapod.
"IT'S METAPOD!" Shouted Ash. John smiled and pulled out his Pokédex for the fun and scanned Metapod, his Pokédex said, "Metapod, the Cocoon Pokémon, a Bug type. A steel-hard shell protects its tender body. The Pokémon quietly endures hardships while awaiting evolution. This Metapod is a Male and knows Tackle, Harden, and String Shot. This Metapod has been caught by John Bertrand as a Caterpie." John smiled and picked up Metapod.
"Alright Metapod!" John shouted as he smiled at his new Pokémon. After recalling Metapod, they resumed their journey for John to battle Erika with his two new Fire-type Pokémon. When night fell, John used Charizard on some logs he gathered to start a fire. Ash smiled as he and Gloria made dinner as Dawn called out all the Pokémon and fed them. Her Tyrantrum nudged her side and she petted Tyrantrum's snout and pulled out a special treat for him. John smiled when Persian walked over to him and said, "You can face Team Hell easily John." John smiled and said, "True, but I still want ALL my Pokémon to be training hard for whatever comes our way."
Just then, Eevee walked over to John and hopped onto his head. John smiled and knelt before taking Eevee off his head. He asked Eevee what he wanted and Eevee said, "After seeing you in action. Protecting Pokémon as you have and your determination. I decided to want to join your team." John was speechless and asked, "Are you sure Eevee? What about your family?" Eevee simply said that he would be happy with just seeing them, but he wanted to travel with John. That was when Eevee began to glow and change as ribbonlike feelers appeared and wrapped around John's arm. Soon the glowing stopped and the shiny Eevee was now a shiny Sylveon. John was speechless, as were all the others. John then smiled and said, "Well Sylveon, you ready?" Sylveon nodded her head and after tapping the Pokéball john had out, the newest Pokémon to john's team was caught.
John smiled as he held Sylveon's Pokéball before calling Sylveon out. Scanning her with his Pokédex, it read, "Sylveon, the intertwining Pokémon. A Fairy type, This Pokémon uses its ribbonlike feelers to send a soothing aura into its opponents, erasing their hostility. This Sylveon is a female and knows Fairy Wind, Draining Kiss, Double Kick, and Flail. John smiled and said, "Alright Sylveon, how about we start training right now?!" Sylveon nodded her head as Persian said, "Let me help."
At a field, Sylveon and Persian looked at each other from opposite sides of the field as John said, "Let's get to training! Persian, you use Shadow Claw on Sylveon. Sylveon, you dodge and use Double Kick!" The Pokémon nodded their heads and used the moves they were told. Persian's claw got surrounded by a claw made from the shadows and charged Sylveon, who dodged and struck Persian in quick succession using both of her back feet. Persian slid backwards and shook it off. John then shouted, "Power Gem and Fairy Wind!" The two kept at it until they were both exhausted.
A little while later, John checked on the two and noticed that they were laying next to each other. That made him smile and placed a blanket over them. He then noticed a Red Sheep like Pokémon so he went to check on it. He noticed it had a fever and brought it over to the others. Pulling out her Pokédex, Dawn scanned the Pokémon and it read, "Baurn, The Fire Sheep Pokémon. A fire Type, Braun are from the Truven Region where their wool allows them to use Fire Type moves. This Braun is a Male and knows Ember and Tailwhip." Gloria asked for Braun. When John handed it to her, she said, "Ah the poor thing, It's not used to Kanto's weather, we need to get it to a Pokémon Center Stat." John and the others agreed and got their Pokémon back in their Pokéballs and got Braun to a Pokémon Center.
At the nearest Center, Nurse Joy was treating Braun with help from Chansey as John and the others watched from a window separating them. Nurse Joy then walked out and said, "Braun will be just fine, the fever broke, it was unusually high compared to its normal Temperature." Gloria looked at Braun and was heart broken at how someone could have abandoned a young Pokémon. Ash placed a hand on her back when John and Dawn walked off to let them be.
Outside, John was looking at the map of Vaults when Dawn said, "Any Vault nearby?" John looked along Route 7 and said, "Looks like one right outside Celadon City. There is one behind the Gym and…. Oh hello." When Dawn asked what, John said, "There's a Vault in the woods behind this center." Dawn stood up and said, "Let's go." John nodded and the two walked out and into the woods. Along the way, John looked around and saw several Primeape looking at them. Arriving at a Tree surrounded by grass when a Pokémon landed in front of them. It looked like it was an evolution of Syther to John.
Pulling out his Pokédex, John scanned the Pokémon and his Pokédex read; "Kleavor, the Axe Pokémon. A Bug and Rock Type, Kleavor is a violent creature that fells towering trees with its crude axes and shields itself with hard stone. If one should chance upon this Pokémon in the wilds, one's only recourse is to flee. This Kleavor is a Male and knows Air Cutter, Aerial Ace, X-Scissor, and Stone Axe. Kleavor have not been seen for several hundred years." John looked up and saw the Kleavor staring at them before it charged at them, swinging its stone axes at them. John ducked while pulling Dawn down. John had Dawn get away as he called out Empoleon.
"EMPOLEON USE METAL CLAW!" John shouted. Empoleon acknowledged him and swung at Kleavor, his claws shining like metal. John growled and said, "Hydro Cannon into Flash Cannon!" Empoleon nodded and shot a Hydro cannon at Kelavor, getting a direct hit on it, Followed by a Flash cannon and that also struck Kleavor. Kleavor stood up and charged, striking Empoleon with a Stone Axe followed by an Aerial Ace. Kleavor then struck Empoleon with Aerial Ace and was about to strike again when there was a Pokémon cry and a Deer-like Pokémon jumped in between Empoleon and Kleavor. When Dawn scanned the new Pokémon, her Pokédex said, "Wyrdeer, the Big Horn Pokémon, and the evolved form of Stantler. A normal and Psychic type. The black orbs shine with an uncanny light when the Pokémon is erecting invisible barriers. The fur shed from its beard retains heat well and is a highly useful material for winter clothing. This Wyrdeer is a male and knows Psyshield Bash, Psybeam, Zen Headbutt, and Energy Ball. Wyrdeer have not been seen for several hundred years."
"Greetings John Bertrand, Human from the other world, I hope my friend has not caused much trouble?" Wyrdeer said to John. He walked up to Wyrdeer and said, "Not much trouble, but he did attack us." Wyrdeer looked at Kleavor and said, "Why Kleavor? You know that we needed to speak first." Kleavor walked up to Wyrdeer and said, "I was testing to see if he was truly worthy of the gift we are protecting." Wyrdeer then said that he sensed John's worthiness the moment he and Dawn stepped foot into the Grotto. All the while, John checked on Empoleon and asked if he was ok.
"Yeah, a little damage is all." Empoleon told John. John nodded his head and walked up to Wyrdeer and Kleavor and asked, "Are you two co guardians of the vault?" Wyrdeer nodded his head and said, "Yes, we were expecting you, Arceus's Champion." John smiled and said, "Well here I am." Then Kleavor said, "Inside the vault is a relic from the past, a mighty suit of armor that was forged by Conkeldurrs, Gurdurrs, Machamps, and Sawks." Then Wyrdeer added that only Arceus's Champion could enter this vault. Then the two guardians got to their spots and used their powers to make the vault appear. John looked at Dawn and she nodded her head. John nodded his, and walked into the vault.
In the vault, John saw more Murals of Pokémon and humans in armor fighting each other. He saw what looked like him in armor defending a downed Moltres and that was when he saw it. The armor that Wyrdeer mentioned. Stepping closer, the armor came alive. It looked at John and swung at him. Ducking, John saw another sword and picked it up, but it turned hot and it made him drop it. The armor swung again and cut John's Cheek. John jumped backwards when the charm he had for Zacian began to glow and a sword appeared that looked like the Sword Zacian would hold in its mouth by the hilt. On the hilt was the head of Zacian.
John then blocked the armor's next blow before the armor backed up and knelt to him. Soon the room lit brighter and John saw a man standing in front of him. A voice then said, "This is our great leader, Sir Arron of Kanto. He was born under a blue moon where as he grew up, he was able to master Aura and was unifyer of all known regions. His legacy lasted for centuries until the people he united broke apart and the world as we know today was formed. John Bertrand, you are a descendant of Sir Arron, use your gifts to save the world once again." John smiled and said, "I swear I will save both worlds." Soon the armor disappeared and a watch Appeared on his wrist and the sword disappeared too.
Back outside, John saw that Kleavor and Wyrdeer were gone. Dawn walked up to him and told him that they disappeared. John nodded his head and the two walked out as he told Dawn about what happened. Back at the Pokémon Center, John and Dawn saw Braun up and about. Gloria told them that Braun woke up while they were out and latched onto her. She then said, "I asked him if he wanted to be a part of my team and he agreed. So I caught him." John smiled and showed her and Ash his new tool. Ash was shocked as Gloria said, "Incredible. Just amazing."
Later, John, Dawn, Gloria, and Ash headed out from the Pokémon center and on to Celadon City. John then looked at his new watch as Ash looked at it and he said, "So that watch was from a Suit of Armor?" John nodded his head and said, "Yeah it formed from a suit of armor." Then Gloria said, "interesting." After a while of walking, The four of them arrived at Celadon City. John smiled before calling out all his Pokémon. He then said, "Ok team, this is where we get our next badge. Celadon City uses Grass type Pokémon. So Vulpix and Charizard, I'm going to need you two most of all." Vulpix and Charizard nodded their heads. John then said, "Sylveon, I want to use you as well. Persian too." Sylveon and Persian nodded their heads.
Arriving at the Gym, John and Ash were shocked at the changes they saw. The gym was no longer just a grass-type Gym, but a Grass and Fighting type Gym. Suddenly, Erika walked out of the gym, making John and Ash shocked. Her Kimono that she always wore was gone and she was wearing normal clothes. Erika saw Ash and said, "Oh Ash, how are you?" and Ash said, "I could be asking you the same thing Erika. What happened to your gym?"
"What?! Team Hell took it over?!" Shouted Ash after they sat down at the Pokémon Center. Erika nodded her head and said, "Yes, they took it over and turned it into a Gym for their leader." John clenched his fists and shot up before walking off with Persian and Grotle in tow, followed by the rest of John's Pokémon. Outside the Gym, John shouted, "ALRIGHT TEAM HELL! GET THE HELL OUT OF THIS GYM!" Soon a few Team Hell grunts came up and called out their Pokémon. John then said, "Final warning, Leave this gym… now." The lieutenant of Team Hell walked out and said, "This Gym is for our glorious leader. We shall not leave."
"In that case… GROTLE! USE ELECTRIC LEAF! SANDPIPOTTO USE GUST! PERSIAN USE POWER GEM! MINOTAUROS! YOU USE HORN SMASH! METAPOD! USE STRING SHOT TO SLOW THEM DOWN! CARNIVINE BULLET SEED! GYARADOS USE HYDRO PUMP! RATTATA! QUICK ATTACK! EMPOLEON! FLASH CANNON! RAIKOU! THUNDERBOLT! ZUBAT YOU USE SUPERSONIC! PAWMO! USE THUNDER FANG! VULPIX AND CHARIZARD! USE FLAMETHROWER! SYLVEON USE FAIRY WIND! TAKE DOWN THEIR POKÉMON!" The Pokémon and Team Hell members saw moves heading their way from behind John and all were hit by the incoming attacks. After the grunts and their Pokémon were down, John looked at his team and said, Grotle, Persian, Charizard, Sylveon, Vulpix with me. The rest of you guys stay out here and keep an eye out.
His Pokémon nodded their heads and the five John said followed him in as the rest stayed outside. In the gym, John and his team were greeted by more grunts and Pokémon. They fought hard to the main battle area where a man dressed in all black stood. He looked at John and said, "I am commander Hades, sub commander for Team Hell. shall we fight?" John clenched his fist and said, "If I win, you all leave this Gym and never return." Commander Hades nodded his head and said, "Go! Breloom!" as he threw a Pokéball and a Breloom popped out.
"Charizard, this is your fight." John said as he recalled all the others. Charizard nodded his head and got ready to fight. CDR Mars made the first move and he said, "Use Thunder Punch!" Breloom nodded his head and charged forward while charging up Thunder Punch. John shouted, "Fly up! Then use Flamethrower! Charizard flapped his wings and flew up before shooting a Flamethrower at breloom. Breloom dodged it and used Zen Headbutt on CHarizard, scoring a direct hit. Charizard landed on the ground and John said, "STEEL WING!" Charizard's wings glowed and got a shine of metal on them before flying at Breloom and striking him into the wall. CDR Hades recalled Breloom and sent out a Pokémon John had never seen before. Taking out his Pokédex, it read, "Garganacl, the Rock Salt Pokémon. A rock Type, Garganacl will rub its fingertips together and sprinkle injured Pokémon with salt. Even severe wounds will promptly heal afterward. This Garganacl is a Male and knows Rock Blast, Salt Cure, Thunder Punch, and Hammer Arm."
"ROCK BLAST!" Shouted CDR Hades. Garganacl obeyed and threw 5 rocks at Charizard. John shouted for Charizard to dodge. He dodged 4 but the fifth one struck him. CDR Hades then shouted as Charizard fell, "THUNDER PUNCH!" Garganacl obeyed again and struck Charizard with a direct hit. John recalled Charizard and sent out Persian. John then had Persian use Power Gem, into Shadow Claw, into Fury swipes, and then Hyper beam. Persian obeyed and all four moves struck Garganacl, making the Rock Salt Pokémon fall backwards. CDR Hades recalled him and sent out Machamp and told Machamp to use Brick Break.
"DODGE!" Shouted John and Persian dodged the Brick Break. Suddenly Persian moved fast and struck Machamp and it looked like it did a lot of damage. Persian smiled and said, "THAT WAS AERIAL ACE!" John smiled and said, "AERIAL ACE RAPID FIRE!" Persian nodded his head and struck Machamp as CDR Hades shouted, "STOP THAT CAT YOU USELESS POKÉMON." Persian and John realized that Hades was abusing his own Pokémon. Persian then said to Garganacl, "Hey buddy, if he doesn't treat you right, you don't have to listen to him." Garganacl looked at Hades, then back at Persian before shooting a single Rock Blast at Hades, destroying his Pokéball in the process. Hades stood up and was shocked at what just occurred.
"YOU'LL REGRET CROSSING TEAM HELL!" CDR Hades said as he ran off. John then walked up to Garganacl and treated him as Ash and the others came in. John smiled and said, "Erika, your Gym is back in your control." Erika teared up and hugged John. Later, John made sure all his Pokémon were at full health and even asked Nurse Joy to heal Garganacl. Ash then said, "Looks like you and your team can even make the opposing Pokémon switch sides." That was when Garganacl walked up to John and said, "Trainer, let me join your team please." John smiled and held up a Pokéball as he said, "Welcome to the team Garganacl." Garganacl then tapped the Pokéball before going inside it and with three shakes and a ding, John caught Garganacl. Erika smiled and thanked John again before saying, "I have my Gym back thanks to you." John smiled back and said, "No worries. Now the reason I came here in the first place, challenging you to a Pokémon Battle." Erika smiled and said, "I will accept your challenge tomorrow. I must prepare." John nodded his head and looked at his team and said, "tomorrow is going to be a tough match. So let's give it our all!" John's Pokémon all cheered. Ash, Gloria, and Dawn all smiled as John prepared to face off against Erika and her Pokémon.
