"I want nothing to do with this Bonnie." I tell her. After what happened, I left the Salvatore house. They got Katherine, so they do not need me. Besides, since Elijah is daggered and Niklaus is not here yet, I don't need to protect anyone.
Only a couple of hours later, Bonnie called to tell me that along with the witch Damon killed, his father had been killed by Katherine. I wasn't surprised.
"You told me you would help me with my magic. Here I am, asking for help."
"You are asking me to help you channel a huge amount of power, which could possibly kill you. Sorry, but I kinda don't want to see you die." I state irritated.
"This will help us kill Klaus." Bonnie argued.
"Really? How exactly?" I asked, intrigued. She did not answer, and only silence rang in my ears over the phone. "Mhm. Thought so."
"I'm not sure, but there has to be a reason why Elijah was looking for where all those witches died. He knew this would be the key in killing Klaus." Bonnie pleads.
"Bonnie, if you want to channel all the power, be my guest. But I'm not helping." I tell her.
"If this is about Damon killing Luca, I'm pissed off about that too. But it just adds to the list of why we hate Damon." Bonnie states.
"It's not that. Trust me, I know people who would kill anyone to protect their loved ones. I understand."
"Then what's the problem?"
"The problem is that you're entering uncharted territory. Channeling powers from dead witches is something I don't want to look forward to. My relationship with dead witches isn't great." I tell her.
"Why?"
"Long story. Regardless, I am not helping. Sorry." I apologize.
"Okay, fine. We'll figure it out on our own." Bonnie claims.
"Alright. Good luck and good night. I need some rest." I state
"Bye." Bonnie says in a somber tone, but I hang up. I was being honest. Dead witches don't like me. Ancestors don't like me. Any witch who knows I'm an immortal witch doesn't like me. If I go, Bonnie will probably die. At least now she has a better chance of surviving. If she doesn't survive, at least they can't say I didn't warn her.
Now, let's get some rest. Because tomorrow, I will be looking back for my dear old brother.
The next day, I wake up fully refreshed and energized. Now that Elijah is daggered, and his witches are dead, nobody is searching for Niklaus. The doppelgänger and her death-wish friends are too busy trying to get enough power to kill an original, when the only thing that can kill an original, they don't even have.
This has always confused me. Elijah put it in their minds that a powerful enough witch could kill Klaus. Even during his transformation, he couldn't die until he was staked with the white oak. Regardless, they had no way to deal with Klaus, and if I were being honest, Bonnie was way over her head.
Now I would never underestimate a Bennet witch. They are the most powerful bloodline I have ever met. But I have never seen any Bennet witch come close to killing an original. Mostly because it is impossible without the white oak stake.
It's time for me to take charge. I am going to find my brother, find my other siblings, and find out what the hell Niklaus has been doing for the past 100 years. It's time for some answers.
Once I get out of bed, I take a quick shower and quickly get dressed. I grab the map from my shelf and set it on my dining room table.
Okay. Let's try this search again. I cut myself with a knife, a slice of my hand. The blood drips onto the map.
"Phasmatos Tribum, Nas Ex Veras, Suquita Segenis, Amentes Ase Nichan, Egapetos." I recite the spell.
The last few times I've done this spell, the blood wouldn't move. I never figured out the spell Nik put on himself to make sure I couldn't find him. I kept trying and trying, but couldn't figure it out. Eventually, I just decided to take a break because I was so exhausted. This led me to focus more on the doppelgänger and her friends.
But since I never broke the spell that Nik used to protect himself, I was confused as to why the blood started to move.
I was actually locating him. I should be more happy, but I'm not. The witch who did the spell, whatever witch did that spell, undid it. Which means he wanted her to. He wants me to find him. But why?
I follow the map where the blood goes, and it doesn't seem to go far. Actually, it's really close. Really, really close.
He is in Mystic Falls.
Niklaus is here.
"AHHHHH!" I scream, feeling like a boulder had been dropped on my head. "Son of a bitch."
"Language sister." I hear a voice say. Not any voice. My brother's. I don't move for a second, because of the pure shock. It's been a long time since I've heard his voice. It was kinda nice.
That feeling soon goes away, when I realize I am not in my house anymore. I'm in someone else's house. Or apartment? Wherever I am, I know he has his witches to bring me here.
"Niklaus, stop being a scared little boy and come out from hiding." I tell him, still not seeing him.
"Oh Kalle. You know I was always good at hide and seek when we were young. But I haven't been a 'scared little boy' for a very long time." The voice echoes. I try to follow where I hear the voice, but it just leads me to nowhere.
"Where the hell are you Niklaus!" I scream at him.
"You will see me soon enough, just not yet. It's not time."
"What do you want, Nik?" I asked him, confused on why he had his witch bring me here.
"Is it too much just to say 'hi' to my sister?" Niklaus asks.
"Well I heard you haven't been that into family." I say. I walk around the room to see if I can pinpoint the exact place I am.
"Ah. I know you have talked to Elijah."
"Yeah, he seems really pissed off at you." I state, stalling.
"Well, do you believe what he's saying?" He asked me, seeming interested.
"You know me brother. Don't believe something is true, until I see it with my own eyes."
"Hmm. I can relate to that. It was a shock to learn you daggered Elijah." Niklaus says, and I pause, making me stop searching for him.
"How did you know that?" I asked, surprised, looking around the room for where he was again.
"I know everything, sister. I also know you won't leave him like that, so how about we make a deal?" He asks me, and my face turns intrigued.
"What type of deal?" I ask him.
"You help me with the sacrifice, and I'll pull the dagger out of Elijah's body." Niklaus makes a bargain, and I laugh at his deal.
"Are you kidding? The sacrifice is why Elijah is in that box in the first place. He was so obsessed with killing you that he was willing to go through the sacrifice just to get to you. Oh, and let's please not forget about how you locked me up in a box for 100 years! Why the hell should I help you? Why the hell should I trust you?" I questioned angrily.
"Because I have a better bargaining chip, I will not only undagger Elijah but also all of our siblings." Niklaus states. My face changes from annoyance to shock.
I haven't seen my siblings in a hundred years. My troublemaking twin brother. My sweet younger sister. I'm even starting to kinda miss Finn. But I know Niklaus. And unlike Elijah, he is not one to keep his word.
"You're a liar." I called his bluff.
"I am offended Kalle. But I am telling the truth. Fingers crossed." I hear his voice state echoing even louder. I am starting to realize where I am.
"I am in your head, aren't I?" I ask him.
"Always the smart one, sister. Which is why I know you will make the right decision." Niklaus replies. I pondered a little, not making a response. My brother is a manipulative liar. I am fully aware. But my siblings. My family. There is a chance he will go through with his word. But there's also the chance where Elijah was right all along. That if I help with this sacrifice, no benefit will come of it.
"I'll let you think about this sister. I understand why you don't trust me. You think I'm a liar, and the reason you were in that box is because of me, but it's not entirely true." Niklaus states.
"Wait, what are you talking about?" I ask confused. "Not entirely true? What is that supposed to mean?"
"Elijah has not told you?" He asks me.
"Told me what?" I asked, still confused. After a few seconds, he just laughed in response. I continued to stare into the empty void with confusion.
"Well, I guess I'm not the only one keeping secrets. But anyway, I think it's about time you went back to your little cozy home." Niklaus stated, but I tried not to leave.
"Wait! What do you mean? What didn't Elijah tell me?" I asked, trying to get an answer.
"I'll see you soon sister." Niklaus says kicking me out of his head.
NO! No no no NO!
What does Elijah know? What are they both not telling me? Why are boys like this. Why are brothers like this?
I look at the map, to see the blood on the trail on the map, is no longer there.
Shit. What am I going to do?
knock knock*
I hear a thump coming from inside; before the door is answered.
"Look who came back." Damon stated sarcastically.
"We need to talk." I barged into their house and saw that thump I had heard was John dropping to the floor.
"About what?" Stefan asks, and I turn to see the betraying Gilbert.
"No, he needs to go." I say, pointing to the father Gilbert.
"Absolutely not. If this has something to do with my daughter, I'm staying." He stated firmly.
"I don't trust you, so you're leaving. Otherwise, I won't tell anyone." I threaten and I watch his face turning angry.
"John, it's fine." Elena stated. "Go. We'll call if we need anything."
"No, I'm not-" John starts, but Damon cuts him off.
"I think it's wise you wait outside, especially after what happened today." Damon says in a harsh tone. I eye John not even knowing what happened today, but I am assuming it was as bad as him trying to get Damon killed.
"Fine. I'll wait in the car." John finally budged, giving me a quick fake smile as he headed out the door.
"Okay. What is it?" Stefan asked, and I headed over to the living room.
"You know how Elijah wanted me to look for Klaus, but I couldn't find him?" I tell them and they all nod.
"What? Did you find him?" Elena asked, worried but intrigued.
"Not exactly. More like he found me." I state, and they all look at me confused.
"What do you mean he found you. Was he looking for you?" Damon stated.
"There was a spell on him that made it physically impossible for any witch to locate him. But today I did." I tell them.
"How?" Elena asks and I don't answer immediately. Stefan takes notice of this, and I see his face turn to realization.
"Because he wanted her. He needed a powerful witch." Stefan states, and I look up at him, approving his statement.
"Wait, so the big vampire asked you for assistance in helping with the sacrifice? You said no, right?" Damon asks, and I roll my eyes.
"No, I said yes, and now I'm here to tell you his entire plan so you can defeat us!" I state sarcastically, and Damon does a fake laugh.
"Ha ha." Damon stated sarcastically.
"Wait, I don't understand. You said you found him, but you didn't find him?" Elena asked.
"He's here. In Mystic Falls." Their faces changed to somber. "And I don't think that's the worst part."
"What could be worse than that?" Damon asks.
"While I was searching for him, it was like I was looking for the original, but not the original. The spell somehow diverted, so I could not specifically locate where he was, which never happens unless..." I trail off. I couldn't figure this out earlier, but as I talk, I finally realize why I didn't know where he was. Why, when I was in his head, I could not recognize the place? I've never seen it before.
"Unless what?" Stefan asked.
"Unless the person is in another body. Meaning, Klaus could be in anyone you know, and we wouldn't even realize." I state bluntly, getting it out of the way.
I see they were thrown off, as Elena starts to panic, Stefan hits a table, and Damon chugs down a glass of bourbon.
"Just after we got someone who could possibly take him on, this happens." Stefan stated angrily.
"Wait who? Please tell me you are not talking about Bonnie." I state concerned.
"Yeah. We are." Damon says. "Why, are you scared she will kill someone?"
"More like she will kill herself. It's like you guys never listen to me." I state irritated.
"What do you mean?" Elena asks.
"Channelling powers from 100 dead witches is hard enough. Using them is 10 times harder, but using that power to face a powerful being like an original, could potentially kill her. But hey, you want to beat Klaus so badly then sacrifice your friend." I state and Elena starts to worry more.
"We will figure out our Bonnie situation later. We have to deal with Klaus first." Damon states.
"And how do you expect we'll do that?" Stefan asked.
"No clue." Damon responds, leaving the rest of the group in a hopeless state.
You know, I have this strange feeling that a family reunion will happen soon.
