It has been a few hours since we came up with the plan to ambush Niklaus. Elena and Stefan have been getting ready, and Damon went to check on them. I've been patiently waiting on the couch, thinking about what happened earlier.
I could be wrong. Alaric could have been surprised about Bonnie's power. I mean she is much more powerful than she was before. He might have just been caught off guard by it all.
But whether Niklaus is in his body or not, he was acting weird. Maybe it's because of everything that has changed in the past few days. I heard his relationship with Jenna has been sorta rocky. That might of been the cause of his weird behavior.
I am still going to keep an eye on him though. I can ask the others, but I will not alert them too much. If Klaus is in Alaric's body, I want to catch him by surprised. This could be our upper hand.
I finally saw Damon walk in with Elena and Stefan right behind him, and I stood up from the couch.
"Great. You guys are ready; let's go." I said, motioning to the door.
"Wait a minute. Where's your costume?" Elena asked me.
"Costume?" I ask confused.
"Yeah, for the dance. You're not going to like that, right?" She asks me. I look down at my outfit. I am wearing a tank top with a black leather jacket and jeans. I thought this was the style in the 2000s.
"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" I ask her.
"It doesn't go with any theme for the '60s dance. Have you ever heard of the '60s?" She explains and I look at her even more confused. I have no idea how people dressed during that time period, because I was in a box during it. I look at Damon for some help.
"She doesn't need a costume, let's just go." Damon stated and I agreed with him.
"Don't you think she'll stick out if she's not in costume? Besides, you said Klaus wants you for his sacrifice; you might want to wear a costume." Elena states, trying to get me to change my mind.
"Do we really have time for this?" Stefan asks.
"Oh, I'll be quick. Come on Kalle." Elena stated grabbing my hand and dragging me to the back. I kept shaking my head no, but she continued to drag me. I would have used my magic, but honestly, how bad could a costume be?
She drags me to Stefan's room and finally lets go of my hand. She gets an orange criss-cross top, that has a wide cut in the front...or the back...of the shirt, with blue bottoms from this box.
"Here." Elena throws me the outfit and I catch it without thinking. "Now for some shoes."
"Elena, seriously, this is not necessary." I stated putting the clothes on one of my arms.
"Nonsense." She says, looking at some glasses. "These would be cute too."
She then throws these round glasses at me. This time I dodge them. I look down to see the glasses, which I have seen in a magazine. I think it was called "vintage glasses". I grab the glasses from the floor and put them on top of the clothes.
"Oooo! These shoes are perfect!" Elena said, holding a pair of white heel boots.
"Throw those at me, and you won't even be able to go to the dance." I threaten and she walks up to me with the shoes and hands them to me.
"Now go put it on. The quicker you do that, the quicker we can leave." Elena said with a smile on her face. I made my way to the bathroom, not really pleased. I took off my clothes and tried on these new clothes. I looked in the mirror, shocked at my appearance. Had I put this on wrong?
"Let me see!" Elena shouts.
"I don't think I put it on right." I state, unsure.
"Come, I'll help you." Elena states. I make my way out of the bathroom and Elena's face turns to shock.
"What? I put it on wrong didn't I?" I ask.
"What? No! Omg you look amazing!" Elena screeched, making my eardrums hurt.
"Oh my goodness please stop with that annoying sound. And why am I showing so much skin. Some of the shirt is missing, like my stomach area and..." I start pointing to my boobs and Elena starts laughing.
"Have you never worn a crop top or something?" She asks me surprised and I feel I should have worn an outfit like this.
"No, I have. Just not with this much cleavage." I say uncomfortably. This new century is really different. I thought I was already used to these new clothes, but more just keeps coming. Or should I say less.
"Okay. We can go now." Elena says certain and we start to make our way back to the living room.
"Good. You girls are ready." Stefan said, hearing us coming closer.
"Yep! How does she look?" Elena asked Stefan and Damon. They both looked at her in shock.
"Wow Kalle, you actually look great." Stefan said sarcastically, and I gave him a fake laugh.
"Yeah, that top looks great on you." Damon remarks with a smirk, and I give him a minor migraine.
"Any word about my body for this entire night, and I'll make your head hurt so bad you'll wish for death. Got it?" I tell him, and he swiftly agrees.
"Good, now let's go." I stated heading to the door. Elena and Stefan walked behind me, while Damon closed the door. We all made our way to the car and then headed to the dance.
We arrived at the dance about 10 minutes later. Once we got out of the car, we saw Bonnie and Jeremy talking in the distance. Stefan stayed back to wait for Elena to get out of the car, while I walked with Damon.
While walking, he seems to be listening to what Bonnie and Jeremy are saying. After she's finished talking to him, she notices us.
"Damon? Kalle?" Bonnie asks. We both wave at her, before heading into the school.
I was walking towards the gym when Damon stopped me.
"Hold on." Damon tells me, and I look at him confused. "You were right."
"Right about what?" I ask him as I make him let go of my arm.
"I think Bonnie might get herself killed tonight." He states and I looked at him with realization and he continues to talk. "Apparently you are not the only person who warned her about the power she held. The dead witches did too."
"Hm. Well maybe next time you guys should listen to me when I am trying to help." I state not surprised this happened.
"What are we going to do? Elena can't lose her best friend." Damon stated.
"Look, I can help her with Klaus, but I don't think it will stop her from trying to kill him herself." I state, unsure of what to do, and Damon carries an irritated but worried face.
"So, you guys ready to go in?" Stefan asks, making his way towards us with Elena, Bonnie, and Jeremy.
"Yep." Damon says with a smirk, hiding our previous conversation and I act the same.
We all enter the gymnasium. Nik is supposed to be here, but how am I supposed to know where he is? I see my suspicion in the middle of the gym now, but I can't act.
On the mic, a compelled girl announces a shoutout from Klaus. Well, at least we know he is here.
"That was a lame cheap shot. He's just trying to bait us." Damon stated unimpressed.
"How are we supposed to figure out who he is? He could be anyone." Elena states.
"Or he could be himself and we will still have no idea if that is him." Stefan recalls back.
"Trust me, he is in one of these bodies." I say certain.
"It's a party people. Blend. Let him come to us." Damon stated.
"Good idea." Bonnie stated, then led Jeremy to the dance floor.
"There's Rick." Damon says, pointing out Alaric. "I'll be back."
"I'll come with you." I say, walking behind Damon. We both make our way to Alaric. Or at least someone who I hope is Alaric.
"A special dedication, huh? This guy is a little twisted." Alaric stated.
"I'm not impressed." Damon replies uninterestedly and I form a little smirk. Alaric, on the other hand, seems displeased with Damon's reply.
"No?" Alaric states surprised. So interested, huh Alaric?
"Let us know if you see anything out of the ordinary." Damon stated and Alaric nodded. He then started to walk away, but realized that I wasn't walking behind him.
"I'm going to stay here for a while." I tell Damon.
"Alright. Call if you need anything." Damon states, and I nod. He then walks into the crowd, and it's just me and Alaric. He seems confused that I stayed with him, but keeps up the conversation.
"So, great party huh? I mean besides the whole Klaus thing." He states.
"Yeah. I mean honestly, I agree with Damon. Klaus doesn't seem all that bad." I state and he nods.
"Do you think Bonnie can take him?" He asked me as he continued to look at the party, and I did the same.
"Yeah. I mean you saw what she did today. I was harsh on her, but she showed me later how powerful she has truly become." I state. I really hope Nik is in here.
"Yeah, Klaus really has some trouble looking for him, doesn't he?" Alaric asks and I look at him.
"Well, yes. But it's not because of Bonnie." I state, and he turns to face me.
"What do you mean?" He asked me, intrigued.
"I'm actually more powerful than Bonnie." I tell Alaric, who looks interested. One thing about Nik is that he hates being the strongest, which is his weakness.
"Matter of fact, I am more powerful than Elijah. I mean I was able to dagger him. Without even using my magic, were you aware?" I asked 'Alaric' and his face changed so I continued. "I know for a fact I could take on Klaus. I'm just trying to lure him out, so I can finally take him. He may be an original vampire, but I'm the strongest witch to ever exist."
Alaric then starts to chuckle. Then that chuckle turns to a laugh. I know that laugh. No matter what body he is in, I know my brother.
"Oh, when did you figure it out?" He asked me curiously.
"When you came over to the Salvatore house, you know, you should really be more discrete, brother." I state.
"You know me, can never stay still. I'm proactive. Though enough with the small talk. I'm assuming you want to know what I am doing here." Niklaus asked me.
"That would be lovely if you told me." I tell my brother, but he just smirks.
"Let's talk about this more in private, hm?" Niklaus stated. He didn't even wait for me to answer, and made his way out of the gym. I followed soon after him, leaving the dance. I could see Damon watching me leave with Alaric confused.
At least if something happens, he will know who I was with. Now, this will be an interesting conversation.
