Chapter 31: Making The Way Back To Lilycove City! Attempting To Stop Team Aqua!
Clair - "So now what do we do?"
Roxanne - "Well we've failed to fully stop Team Magma. But there's still a chance to stop Team Aqua before their plan succeeds."
Rarity - "But just where could they be right now?"
Michael quickly had an idea.
Michael - "Slateport City."
Bea - "But what would they need down there? There's nothing major but..."
Michael - "...Captain Stern's submarine. After all, how else are they supposed to dive underwater to find Lady Kyogre?"
Clair - "Crap you make a point there."
Michael - "Then what are we waiting for? Let's get moving."
Michael then quickly let the girls south to Slateport City. They then came across the harbor docks, seeing that Captain Stern was doing an interview.
Applejack - "So what do you guys think the interview's about?"
Clair - "Most likely his latest expedition."
Just as the interview ended, Michael and the girls walked over to Captain Stern.
Michael - "Hello Captain Stern. It's been a good while since we last saw you."
Captain Stern - "Yes it has been. By the way, where's the rest of your friends?"
Michael - "Due to recent developments, half of our current group is currently in Lilycove City."
Captain Stern - "Whatever for?"
Before Michael and the girls could ever answer Captain Stern's question, a loud voice was hearing coming from the harbor.
? - "Fufufu. Captain Stern, I presume. We of Team Aqua will assume control of your submarine! Your objections are meaningless! We expect your total cooperation! Fufufu... Just watch and learn what Team Aqua has planned!"
Michael and the girls were just as surprised about the annoucement as Captain Stern and the townsfolk were.
Captain Stern - "What was that all about? It sounded like someone using a megaphone... Where did it come from?"
Captain Stern then quickly realized where.
Captain Stern - "It's from the Harbor! The submarine! Team Aqua's trying to take it! Michael! You and the girls please come with me!"
Michael and the girls quickly followed Captain Stern into the Harbor. There, they found Archie and a grunt standing in front of the submarine. Archie then noticed Michael.
Archie - "Oh? Not you again... You and your friends are tenacious to track us here, that much I WILL give you. But now... No one can stop us! No one! Or, will you all follow us back to our hideout in Lilycove City? Fwahahahaha..."
Archie and the grunt then jumped into the submarine, which then quickly went underwater and started swimming away.
Michael - "Arceus damnit..."
Captain Stern - "Why... Why would Team Aqua steal my Submarine Explorer 1?"
Clair - "What did you find on your latest expedition Captain?"
Captain Stern - "A seafloor cavern on Route 128."
Michael then facepalmed.
Michael - "Ah crab baskets..."
Pinkie - "Michael. That's not...?"
Michael - "It is Pinkie. The seafloor cavern Captain Stern discovered is where Lady Kyogre is supposed to be sleeping right now. If we don't quickly stop Archie, all of Hoenn could very well be done for already."
Bea - "Then what are we standing around here for? Let's get back to Lilycove City and at least try to stall Team Aqua for the time being."
Michael - "Of course. Let's move ladies!"
Girls - "Right!"
Michael and the girls then said bye to Captain Stern and quickly sped back to Lilycove City. Upon reuniting with the others, they were quickly brought up to speed on the current situation.
Ruby - "Sucks that Maxie couldn't be stopped, but at least there's still a change to stop, or at the very least, slow down Archie."
Michael - "Agreed. Now let's get moving."
Michael then got all of his current Grass Starters back before leading the fully reunited party into Team Aqua's hideout. Much like Team Magma's hideout, the entire place was a giant maze, with the party having to take down numerous grunts along the way. But they eventually reached the end, only to fine Matt, Team Aqua's male Admin, standing on a pier overlooking the submarine. Matt then turned to face Michael and the girls as they got closer.
Matt - "Hehehe... Got here already, did you? We underestimated you! But this is it! I'm a cut above the grunts you've all seen so far. I'm not stalling for time. I'm gonna pulverize you!

Battle: Michael Masi (6) Vs. Team Aqua Admin Matt (2)
Matt - "Go Mightyena!"
Michael - "Delcatty I choose you!"
Michael then activated his Battle Disk, which caused an aura to surround Matt's Mightyena.
Mightyena: Attack +1, Defense +1, Sp. Attack +1, Sp. Defense +1, Speed +1
Match #1: Delcatty (Wise Glasses) Vs. Mightyena (Blackglasses)

Michael's Hand: 5 + 1 = 6
Matt - "Thunder Ice Crunch!"
Michael - "Special Sword, Ghost Sword, Electric Sword, and Ice Sword! Thunder Ice!"
Michael's Hand: 6 – 4 = 2

Ghost Sword (Michael): Turn 1/3
Electric Sword (Michael): Turn 1/3

Crunch's Current Power: 80 + 40 = 120 + 24 = 144

Thunder's Current Power: 110 + 22 = 132 x 2 = 264 x 2 = 528

Matt watched stunned as Delcatty easily knocked out his Mightyena.

Matt - "Damn. You got lucky there brat. But don't think you'll get so lucky a second time! Mightyena return! Go Crobat!"
Michael - "Say what you want. But in the end you'll still lose."

Matt was stunned speechless as Delcatty showed off her true power. And during the attack, Michael thought he caught a light coming from his Key Ring. But then he quickly forgot about it.

Matt - "Hehehe... So, I lost too..."
(Music Ends)
Matt - "Hehehe! While I was toying with you, our boss got through his preparations!"
The party then watches as Archie swims away from his team's hideout underwater in the submarine.
Matt - "Hehehe! Our boss has already gone on his way to some cave under the sea! If you're gonna give chase, you'd better search the big, wide sea beyond Lilycove City. But will you find it then? Hehehe!"
Michael - "Damn. We were too late."
