Chapter 35: Diving Under The Ocean! Discovering The Seafloor Cavern!
Michael and the girls quickly returned to the Pokemon Center for the time being. Michael had also decided to quickly inform Steven about what had happened at his hometown's Space Center.
Steven - "So they tried to get the Space Center's rocket fuel?"
Michael - "That's correct. Thankfully I was able to make short work of Tabitha AND Maxie, so they failed to get it anyway."
Steven - "Thank you for that Michael."
Michael - "Not at all. Also, seems like Maxie finally realized that his Team's goal is no longer possible. He also came to the conclusion that Archie's goal for Team Aqua is gonna meet the exact same fate."
Steven - "Sadly Archie most likely won't realize it till AFTER he awakens Lady Kyogre."
Michael - "Pretty much. Anyway. Besides that, the girls and I gonna quickly set off and head for the seafloor cavern to HOPEFULLY stop Archie before it's too late."
Steven - "Good luck to you all then."
Michael - "Thanks."
Michael ended the call. Soon he got Greninja back from Nurse Joy, then he and the girls quickly made their way onto Route 127. The party quickly headed south, arriving on Route 128 very easily.
? - "Hey!"
The party looked to see Gura, Ina, and Ame swiming over to them.
Kiara - "Why are you three here?"
Ame - "Well we wanted to do something instead of just waiting around. So Steven was kind enough to lead us towards where you guys were gonna be."
Michael - "I don't mind the extra help. But still. We all need to play it smart and safe down in the seafloor cavern. Is that understood?"
Girls - "Sir!"
Michael - "Good. Now let's get diving ladies!"
With those words of encouragement, Michael and the girls quickly dove underwater. They then quickly donned the cyber scuba gear Akira had installed into their communicators.
Michael - "Everyone ok?"
Clair - "We're all fine for now Michael."
Michael - "Good. Now before we start looking blindly..."
Michael held his right hand out and focused, sending a pulse of aura throught out the entire ocean. After a few moments, he finally felt something.
Michael - "This way."
The girls quickly followed Michael further down into the ocean. During the swin, Michael caught a Luvdisc, Relicanth, and a pair of Camperl, one male and the other female. Soon they came across a very well hidden underwater cavern entrance.
Roxanne - "Michael. Is this...?"
Michael - "Yes Roxanne. This IS the seafloor cavern Captain Stern and his exploration team found. Which also means..."
The slowly swam inside, coming across Captain Stern's Submarine Explorer 1.
Michael - "...that this is where Team Aqua, and by extension Lady Kyogre, are."
Winona - "Then we better hurry. There's no telling just how far in Archie and Team Aqua are already."
Whitney - "I'm with Winona."
Michael - "Then let's quickly back above water and start searching."
The party then quickly resurfaced and started throughout the cavern. A few times they get right back to the beginning area, but they eventually reached the deepest part of the cavern, where they came across Shelly and Courtney.
Shelly - "Ahahahaha! Just how did you all manage to get here without a submarine? Quite an impressive bunch of kids. But... It won't do to have you all meddling about here. And Courtney and I do want payback for what happened at Southern Island. We're going to give you a little taste of pain! Resign yourself to it!"
Courtney - "No."
Shelly - "What?"
Courtney - "Sorry Shelly. But I'm sitting this battle out. I already tried to get payback on Michael when Tabitha and I went against him in a double battle back at our hideout. Sadly, we both got our sorry butts handed to us easily. So you're officially on your own here."
Shelly - "Fine! Be that way. I'll just get revenge on you myself then. Go Sharpedo!"
Michael - "Delcatty I choose you!"
Michael then activated his Battle Disk, which caused an aura to surround Sharpedo.

Courtney - "And yet, because of one person, those plans go up in smoke."
Michael - "You're both wrong. It was your leader's short-sightedness that led to these events happening."
Michael and the girls then silently left Shelly and Courtney alone and treked deeper into the cavern. Soon they came across the slumbering Kyogre.
Pinkie - "Is that...?"
Gura - "It is..."
Michael - "Lady Kyogre..."
? - "Hold it right there."
The party turned to see Archie marching over to them.
Archie - "Fufufu... So, it was your lot after all. Behold! See how beautiful she is, the sleeping form of the Ancient Pokémon Lady Kyogre! I have waited so long for this day to come... It's surprises me, how you all managed to chase me here. But that's all over now. For the realization of my dream, you all must disappear now!"

They both then quickly brought their heads back to the battle.

Archie - "What?! I lost to a mere child like you?!"

Archie - "Fufufu... I commend you, Michael. I must recognize that you are truly gifted. But! I have this in my possession! With the Red Orb, I can make Lady Kyogre..."
Suddenly, the Red Orb began shinning by itself. This in turn led to Kyogre slowly making her way over to Archie and the party. Kyogre then relayed a message that only Michael could hear.
Kyogre - "Please young Michael. Find our sister Rayquaza. She's the only one with the strength to stop us..."
Kyogre then suddenly disappeared.
Archie - "What?! I didn't do anything. Why did the Red Orb... Where did Lady Kyogre go?"
Archie's communicator then went off.
Archie - "Hm? It's a message from mine and Maxie's members outside..."
Archie walked away a bit to take the call.
Archie - "Yes, what is it? Hm... It's raining heavily? Good... That should have happened. That is why we awakened Lady Kyogre, to realize Team Aqua's vision of expanding the sea."
Archie was then hit with news that made his blood run cold.
Archie - "What?! It's raining far harder than we envisioned? You're in danger? That can't be... That's just not possible... Hold your position and monitor the situation!"
Archie's face went pale as he ended his transmission.
Archie - "There's something wrong... The Red Orb was supposed to awaken AND control Lady Kyogre... But... Why? Why did Lady Kyogre disappear? Why?!"
Maxie then suddenly appeared and got in Archie's face.
Maxie - "You idiot! Just what have you wrought? Archie... You finally awoken Lady Kyogre, haven't you? What will happen to the world if this downpour continues for all eternity? The world's landmass will drown in the deepening sea..."
Archie - "W-What?! Don't get all high and mighty with me! Wasn't it you, Team Magma, that infuriated Lord Groudon? So long as I have the Red Orb, I should be able to control Lady Kyogre... I should be able to control her..."
Maxie - "We don't have the time to argue about it here! Just get outside and see for yourself! See if what you've wrought is the world that we both desired!"
Maxie then noticed Michael and the girls and walked over to them.
Maxie - "Michael, come on. You and the girls must get out of here too!"
With those words, Michael led the girls, along with Archie AND Maxie, out of the seafloor cavern to see just what kind of chaos has been created.
