Beautiful beyond imagination. There was magnificent landscape of the Realm, through the gleaming capital city, modern yet timeless.
The palace rose countless stories tall, gleaming with an other-worldly majesty, towering high above the Realm sprawled out before it.
This was Arendelle, ruled by King Enji and his Queen Rei.
They had three children, the eldest being the heiress, Toya. Toya had dark red hair like his fathers, but as his power grew, it was turning white like his mothers. He was always protecting his two precious siblings, especially Natsuo.
Fuyumi, the middle sister, was the most beautiful. She had long red and white hair. Her eyes were full of wisdom and knowledge.
Natsuo was the youngest, with white hair and his mother's countenance.
The three of them were playing in the castle courtyard.
"Look, Natsuo! Fuyumi!" Toya said, pointing out a punctured kite. "It's so beautiful!"
Natsuo and Fuyumi looked at it.
"It's so sad and broken." Fuyumi said.
"Not that sad! Look at these beautiful ribbons!" Natsuo said.
She and Fuyumi began playing with it.
A boy walked over. "That kite belongs to me? Can I have it back please?"
Fuyumi's eyes narrowed, but kind Natsuo handed it over.
"Ha!" The man grabbed Natsuo, hoping for a ransom.
"Sister!" Toya ran forward. "Give her back NOW!"
A stream of fire rushed from his hands, breaking the tree branch and knocking the scoundrel unconscious.
Little did they know that this scoundrel was a young Shiguraki, who was at this time a boy called Tomura. He had now begun his neverending vendetta against the magic of Arendelle.
Toya gazed at his hands. "What have I done?"
Fuyumi helped up Natsuo and the two started toward Toya.
"No! Stay back! I'm a monster!" Toya insisted.
"You are wrong, Toya. That was very brave what you did to protect us!" Fuyumi countered.
"That's right!" Natsuo nodded emphatically. "We won't tell anyone at all! It's a sibling's promise!"
"We'll help you conceal your powers. Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know." Fuyumi chanted.
Fuyumi and Natsuo took the three ribbons from the kite and they wrapped them around their wrists and all three chanted. "A sibling's promise."

Dancing and merrymaking were going on in Arendelle. It was King Enji's birthday celebration.
The siblings were all of age, and they all had many suitors.
It was Toya alone who declined a dance with any of them.
Fuyumi danced with Tomura, her suitor, while Toya kept a watchful eye. He had never liked Tomura. They way he looked at all three of them, like they were a prize to collect. And he was so familiar.
Toya clenched his fists as he met Tomura's gaze, and the temperature in the castle heated..
Toya immediately stood and withdrew from the ballroom.
It was Fuyumi who noticed her brother's absence first. She went to Natsuo, and took him to the bedchamber.
"What are you doing?" Fuyumi asked.
"Leaving." Toya said. "I'm dangerous. I haven't improved at all!"
"You can't leave! You are the heir to Arendelle!" Natsuo protested.
"Natsuo, you will be a better leader than I could ever be." Toya said. "I leave the throne, and Arendelle, to you."
"Enough!" Fuyumi said. "There is a place in Misthaven, a powerful sorcerer there by that goes by the name of All For One. We will go to him, together. He can help you control your powers."

A great castle rose out of the mists. Misthaven was well named. This castle was hung with ivy and blossoming with flowers that grew into a great garden in the courtyard; All For One was a well known herbalist.
Natsuo clung to Fuyumi. "Are you sure we should go to him? He is a sorcerer after all."
"People say that." Fuyumi said. "I am sure he is just misunderstood."
"Ya think so?" Toya said sarcastically as a dark man appeared in the mists.
He stood taller then the three siblings, and held a staff with an orb on it. His eyes were fathomless and his hair was dark. After a moment of consideration he let out a disconcerting laugh.
"Well don't stand there in the fog all morning." AFO said. "Come in, children of Enji."
The sisters entered the vast castle and sat in the lush chairs at the huge table.
"Lord All For One, we would like to ask a favor." Fuyumi said.
"I know why you are here." AFO said. "I am prepared to help you, for a price."
He laughed his lilting laugh again. It was quite unsettling.
"What do you want from us?" Toya said imperiously.
"Nothing sordid my dear." AFO said. "The ribbons that bind you together. You always keep them with you. Give them to me, and I will help you."
The siblings exchanged a look, then consented, handing over the kite ribbons.
AFO headed into what seemed to be a vault like the one in Arendelle. He returned after a time with gloves and an urn.
"These gloves will seal your powers." AFO said. "As long as you wear them, you will cast no fire. And the urn will seal you yourself away; if you become...dangerous."
He smiled, showing all of his teeth in a fearsome way that had Natsuo quaking and clinging fast to Fuyumi.
"We don't need the urn." Fuyumi protested. "We would never seal our brother away! And we are appalled that you would suggest—"
"Fuyumi." Toya stopped her. "All For One is right. Who knows what sort of monstrous demon I could become. We will take the urn as well with our thanks, Lord All For One."
"But—"
"I am the eldest." Toya said dangerously. "You will not go against me in this matter again. If I threaten innocent life, you must put an end to me.
The last thing they heard was the high lilting laugh of All For One as they exited the castle. They heard it over the misty waves as they returned to Arendelle. His laughter at a cruel joke and an ominous foreboding.

Toya stepped into the royal garden, admiring the white roses.
He took his gloves off to feel the petals between her fingers. She watched the petals crinkle and burn.
"Beautiful flowers, aren't they, prince?" A voice said.
Toya spun to find Himeko standing before her. He knew she was Natsuo's betrothed, and soon to be sister to him, but she always gave him a bad feeling.
But Natsuo had always said to be kind to every member of their kingdom. Kindness makes a good King.
"Almost as beautiful as you." Himeko whispered, her hand tracing over Toya's cheek.
Horrified, Toya panicked and blasted her away with a stream of fire. He backed away against the garden wall, shaking in terror.
"Toya? Toya!" Natsuo rushed in, and upon seeing Himeko all scorched, glared at him, knowing Toya would only have used his power if she had harmed him.
"He attacked me! This sorcerer!" Himeko cried. "He tried to proclaim his love to me and I refused him, as you are my only love—and he attacked me!"
Toya looked pleadingly at his brother, saying nothing in his own defense.
"You fool! Do you think I would believe your lies?" Natsuo shouted. "How dare you lay your filthy hand on him and then try to shame him! You are no longer my betrothed!"
"Shame him?!" Himeko laughed. "This sorcerer...this wizard! You will regret spurning my affections! I will tell all of Arendelle what our future King is—a MONSTER!"
"I am NOT a monster!" Toya screamed, attacking her again.
This time, however, Himeko was ready. He grabbed the defenseless Natsuo and used him as a shield. Toya pulled his punch at the last time and suddenly caught fire!
Himeko Toga knelt beside the flames and used the urn to trap Toya, leaving ash on the ground.
"No...no...Toya..." Natsuo sobbed and held the ash. "Toya please...Toya I'm so sorry..."
"I told you." Himeko said. "All For One warned you, and so did Shigaraki. Now that you see what it costs you; you fear me, and you fear your power. You will learn! Fear will always be your enemy! The enemy of the Todoroki Royals!"
Himeko vanished.
"Natsuo...what happened?" Fuyumi stood in the entryway.
"I...I killed him..." Natsuo shakily explained what had happened. "Oh Fuyumi it's all my fault. I killed Toya..."
"No. You didn't. This is my doing." Fuyumi said after Natsuo explained. "I trusted All For One, and now our brother is dead. Please...you must calm down. Everyone will understand if we just explain."
"No. No..." Natsuo said, as ice skittered around them, frosting their favorite white roses. We are cursed. We are demons, monsters. And Arendelle will perish in fire and ice."
Somewhere in the darkness All For One laughed.

The years that passed were torment on Arendelle.
In the end, Queen Rei came to land of Heroes and asked for a boon of Toshinori Yagi, All Might, despite her husbands protests.
"Erase these horrible memories. End this pain!" Natsuo begged.
All Might looked at him sadly. "If I do this, your kingdom with forget Toya ever existed. And you yourself may also be affected; who knows what will happen to your powers!"
"We won't use them!" Enji said. "We cannot ever have a monster in our kingdom again!"
"You may regret your words, my king." All Might said, frowning.
"Let it be done." Enji demanded.
A pulse went throughout the kingdom, and the pain and sorrow of the three siblings of Arendelle faded into distant memory.

Toya awoke inside the urn, placed his hands on the cage. His brother had betrayed him and locked him away.
He opened his eyes and watched as the sun burst through.
The cold swirling in, but it never bothered him anyway.
Toya knew why he had awoken the only thing that could weaken the spell; another with magic like his was being born right now.

Baby Shoto smiled up at his mother and the snow burst into a blizzard outside.
Still unknown to them, the powers he tried to hide.
Natsuo looked down at his brother and felt warm and hot, seeing Toya reflected there; a memory almost grasped but somehow touching air.
Beautiful mismatched eyes and red and white hair. He looked so like Toya the memories pulled at Natsuo's heart.
But her soul belonged to the ice and fire so did it follow that he too, like Toya, possessed a frozen heart.
Was he a monster?

A scream of rage could be heard in the caves of northern Arendelle.
Deep in the frozen wasteland Toya tried so hard to break free.
But nothing could be done without a powerful group of three.
Still in the night, he quietly waited.
Until she sensed in a far away land, another soul of magic power; Priestess Chaira.
Toya reached his magic out into the Enchanted Forest and stirred up the ancient Elemental Spirits. They would sense danger and call on the young Priestess.
And in the castle young Shoto slept the second to her plan.
She only needed Chaira's power to unlock the door and set her free.
One more.
The Power of Three.

The morning broke with bright sunlight.
When Chaira was born.
Toya was overjoyed.
The final piece to the puzzle.
Soon...
Soon...
