Welp here is the next chapter! Sorry it took so long. Don't have much time to write anymore. I do have some nice plans for the next chapter. Although I am changing it up a good bit from the show.
The group were in the lab at the factory, having just completed a mission to Sector Five to collect more data. "Okay, all that's left to do is to analyze the data you just collected from Sector Five" Jeremy said, typing a bit to save the data in a more permanent location. "Do you think you will learn anything from it?" Yumi asked. "Honestly, I don't know, but if there is a possibility of finding information that will help fight Xana on the network or free Josh from the supercomputer, it's worth a try." Jeremy said before getting up to leave with the group. "Well, I don't know 'bout you guys, but something to eat would really hit the spot!" Odd said happily, hoping to get some breakfast before gym class. "Odd look at the time, there is no way you won't be late to gym if you get breakfast." Josh said looking at his phone. "But I'm so hungry." Odd complained . "Well, too late." Ulrich told him in a teasing sort of tone. The group left the factory, Yumi went to her classes while the others headed to the gym.
At the gym the group sat next to each other waiting for class to begin. Odd sat holding his stomach, which let out a loud growl. "Hey Odd, could you cool it for a second?" Ulrich asked. "He's right. Your stomach is almost as talkative as you are!" Aelita added. "Now listen…if I don't get something to eat right away, there's no telling what I might do…" Odd said sort of sounding serious but also not at all. "Hey, Odd… Did you forget? You just had a chocolate bar five minutes ago." Jeremy stated. "Yea… mine…" Josh said, slightly annoyed. "That's nothing! That was just a warmup! I need some real food to get me going in the morning!" Odd replied. " Like some beans or potatoes, with a banana or two for dessert!" Urlich joked, causing the others to laugh except for Odd. "Not funny…" He just replied.
A short while later Jim walking into the Gym with nurse Yolande following not far behind. "Hey! I know you kids are gonna be disappointed, but it looks like I'm gonna have to cancel today's shotput competition." Jim started, causing the whole class to cheer happily. "Quiet down! Actually, since today is Nutrition Day, our school nurse, Yolande Perraudin, is gonna speak to you and tell you what you should eat in order to have a great shape! Uh, I mean to keep in shape!" Jim said as Yolande walked up next to him. "So those of you who can't wait until you wolf down your next junk food meal had better think twice before you do! Because junk food is your worst enemy!" Jim added. "Unless your name is Odd! His worst enemy is whoever gets between him and his food!" Ulrich said to the group, laughing a bit. "Better believe it!" Odd said, sounding more cheerful than before. Yolande began speaking about nutrition and what foods are better and what are worse before finally finishing. "And so, for example, if for lunch you have mashed potatoes and lamb, there's no need for steak and fries at night." She said to finish off her lesson. "What is she talking about anyway? If I eat mashed potatoes and lamb, there's no reason to wait for dinner. I can have steak and fries for dessert!" Odd said quietly in disagreement. Not hearing any of that Jim began speaking again, getting ready to dismiss the students. "So! Don't forget that a head of lettuce can save your life. And remember! The better you eat, the better you live. Look at me! Haha! I'm an example of what good food can do. I am in perfect shape!" He said moving his arms around before kneeling down and moving back up. As he did so a loud cracking sound was heard as he was standing back up. "Ow! I…I just pulled something! Yolande, help… I can't move…!" Jim said in pain. Meanwhile Jeremy turned toward where Odd had been since it was now lunch time. "Ok Odd, it's finally time for lun- oh?! Odd?" Jeremy said seeing the Odd was already long gone. "I think I am going to skip lunch and do some work on a few programs I have been meaning to show you and Aelita." Josh said getting up. "You sure?" Aelita asked, since while it was normal for Jeremy to skip out on lunch to work on projects for Lyoko, it wasn't normal for Josh to. "Yeah, I am sure." Josh said walking out of the gym towards the dorms.
The rest of the group, Aelita, Ulrich and Jeremy, headed to the cafeteria to meet up with Odd.
In the lunchroom, Odd was nearly the first in line with his empty tray. Placing it in front of Rosa. "So, Rosa, what have we got today? Shepard's pie? Sausages and fries? Beef stew?" Odd asked cheerfully. "Odd… I didn't want to, but they said I had to cook healthy and well-balanced meals from now on…" Rosa said, sounding slightly upset about it. "W-what?!" Odd replied in surprise, looking down at the food in front of him. "Grated carrots and cucumbers?! Steamed vegetables a-and FISH?!" Odd added sounding offended. "Not even fried or breaded." Rosa replied, placing a piece on his tray. Odd then proceeded to walk over to his group's normal table, and wait for them to get there.
Meanwhile in his room, Josh had been working on a program to help locate Franz Hopper on Lyoko, but he was having difficulties locating any fragment of him to even start the search with. Feeling defeated, he moved on to working on a program to help determine just how closely he was linked into Lyoko's core programming, since that would help determine the best course of action to actually free him from the super computer.
Back in the lunchroom, the rest of the group, Aelita, Jeremy, Ulrich and Yumi, sat down at the table with Odd where Odd was just sitting with a frown, not eating. "Great! I love broccoli." Urlich said as he sat down. " Say that again and you're dead fish!" Odd said, looking over at Urlich. "So anyways, after lunch Aelita and I are going to head over to the factory." Jeremy said, inviting Yumi along. "I'm sorry I can't go with you, I've got Italian." Yumi replied, eating. "No big deal. We're just gonna analyze all that data that you brought back from Sector 5." Jeremy replied, also eating his lunch. "And how 'bout you guys? Do you wanna come?" Aelita asked Odd and Ulrich. "No. Ulrich, you stay here. I need you." Odd said, sounding annoyed. "Oh you do, huh? What for?" Urlich asked. "I will tell you after lunch." Odd said.
After lunch Jeremy and Aelita began walking to the factory. "Do you think we should see if Josh wants to come along?" Aelita asked. "Might as well, we could always do with another set of eyes when looking over the data." Jeremy said lifting the sewer cover.
In his room Josh had just finished his program, that would be able to give a numerical read out of how tightly his code was coupled to Lyoko, when his phone rang. "Aelita? Everything alright?" He asked, worried that she might be calling due to a tower being activated. "Yeah, Everything's fine. Jeremy and I are heading over to the factory to look over the data we collected from Sector 5. I decided to call and see if you wanted to come with us." She said, "Sure, I will be right there." Josh answered before hanging up. He placed his hand on his computer, using his spector powers to copy the program into himself, so he could take it to the factory.
At the factory, Aelita and Jeremy waited a few minutes for Josh to arrive. Once he did, they all entered the elevator. "I finished one of the programs I was working on today, instead of having lunch." Josh said. "What programs were you working on anyways?" Jeremy asked, since Josh had never told him or Aelita. "Well, the one I finished will give a real time number on how tightly linked my programming is to Lyokos. The second one that I am running into issues with… is to find Franz Hopper on Lyoko." Josh said as the elevator doors opened to the super scan already beeping out its alarm, causing all three of them to dart over to the console to see what was going on. On the screen an activated tower showed the mountain sector. "An activated tower, we better call the others." Aelita said taking out her phone.
Back on campus, Ulrich and Odd were outside the cafeteria, "Not a soul out here. The coast is clear! Time to eat up a storm!" Odd said, going around the corner and starting to walk up the stairs into the cafeteria. Both instantly stopped as soon as Urlich's phone began to ring. Ulrich pulled it out of his pocket and answered. "Jeremy?" Ulrich asked. "Head over to the factory, Xana's activated a tower." Jeremy said over the phone. "We will be right there." Urlich answered loud enough for Odd to hear. "That's what you think! I refuse to be virtualized on an empty stomach." Odd said going to open the door, just in time for Jim to open it from the other side with a tray piled high with food, not realizing the two were there. "Eating healthy is ok…but I'm starved." Jim said to himself, eating something off the tray. "Well what do you know…" Odd said in a slightly confronting sort of tone. " Stern and Della Robbia, what're you two doing here?!" Jim said in surprise, with his mouth still full. "And you! I thought you were a nut about staying in shape!" Odd replied. "Well um… I asked you first. Answer me." Jim said back, but before Odd could answer an apple flew through the window next to them, smashing it to pieces, this grabbed the three's attention. Looking over they watched as food throughout the kitchen began jumping from the shelves, and flew towards that already broken window, before gathering on the ground into a huge pile.
Meanwhile Yumi had gotten a call from Aelita about the tower, and managed to make an excuse to get out of class and run to the factory. "Where's Odd and Urlich?" Yumi asked, exiting the elevator. "They are on their way." Jeremy said just as Ulrich called him. "Jeremy! We have a bit of a problem. We might be a little late." Ulrich said backing up from the food pile, which had begun to tower higher and higher casting a shadow on them. "Is it Xana?" Jeremy asked. "Sure looks like it." Ulrich said as the tower of food began to fall towards them, Odd and Ulrich ran out of the way, with Jim just holding his tray over his head. "Ok, don't panic. We're gonna deactivate the tower as soon as possible." Jeremy replied before hanging up. "You ok, Jim? You're not hurt?" Odd asked as the food cleaned away to JIm standing still the tray full of food and food all over the ground, which slowly began to reform back onto the monster. "Hurt? No, I don't think so…" Jim answered. " Anyway, you were right about one thing: food can be your worst enemy! Wow!" Urlich said watching as the food monster reformed.
"Aelita, Yumi and Josh head to the scanner room." Jeremy said. "Jeremy, I am going to quickly save my finished program to the super computer first, so it can begin working." Josh said, touching the console, transferring the program and launching it before heading to the elevator with the others. Once they reached the scanner room they entered the scanners and were virtualized to the mountain sector. "The activated tower is north of your location. I am virtualizing your vehicles now." Jeremy said doing so before adding. "Xana has sent three krabs to try and stop you." Yumi and Aelita got on the overwing, while Josh got on the overbike and started towards the tower. The path split around a large mountain, two of the krabs taking one path and the last krabs following the three directly firing at them. Yumi was dodging the lasers and the krab mostly focusing on her and Aelita. Aelita turned around on the overwing and fired an energy field at the krab destroying it just before the paths rejoined and the other two krabs continued the chase.
Back on campus, Odd, Ulrich and Jim had ran into the forest to try and escape the food monster. The monster stopped for a moment before getting ready to swing its arm down on the three. " Ok, no more mister nice guy! It's time to teach this pile of junk a lesson! Stay here, this won't take more than two seconds! Ready? GOOO!" Jim said, turning to face the food monster, using his lunch tray as a face shield. The food pile threw its arm down at him, causing a large cloud of dust to rise up, as it cleared Odd and Ulrich could not see Jim, but only food all over the ground, that soon began to reform back into the monster again. After they saw this the two continued running toward the sewer. "He was right! It didn't take more than two seconds." Odd commented as they ran, the monster on their trail. "I can't believe it. I'm gonna be eaten by a mountain of food and I'm starving to death!" Odd added. "Some guys were born to lose…" Ulrich replied.
On Lyoko Aelita, Yumi and Josh were still being pursued by two Krabs. Josh fell back from Aelita and Yumi, on the overbike and got behind on the the Krabs, jumping down onto its top and stabbing his sword into it before jumping backwards back onto the overbike, destroying the Krab. As he was doing this Aelita had shot another energy field at the last Krab destroying it as well. By this time they were within eyesight of the tower. "Jeremy, something feels off, don't know how to describe it, but its like Lyoko is trying to let me know something isn't right." Josh said, a hand going towards his head, as it began to hurt slightly, after the strange feeling. "I will take a look, in the meantime you guys need to deactivate that tower." Jeremy said, starting to type. "Then I have good news, we have the tower in sight." Yumi said, starting to take the Overwing down towards the tower. "Jeremy, Josh is right, something strange is going on." Aelita said, looking around before hearing a strange sound. "The Digital Sea seems to have risen all of a sudden!" Aelita added, noticing it starting to submerge lower down paths and mountains. "Aelita, your right, the digital sea is rising, and quickly too." Jeremy said typing. "Another one of Xana's tricks." He added as the three got closer to the tower, the digital seas was almost up to the level of the ground outside it. "Do you mean that Lyoko's going to be submerged and disappear forever?" Yumi asked to which Jeremy responded, "No, it won't disappear. Lyoko's Sectors aren't affected by the Digital Sea. But it will get submerged, unless I can find a way to lower the sea level…". Just then Josh grunted, holding his head, due to a sudden pain forming in his head, just like when the Core of Lyoko was last being attacked. On the screen in the lab a window suddenly appeared with an alert showing monsters beginning an attack on the core. "Oh great! Xana is attacking the Core of Lyoko. He's rising the level of the digital sea to stop you from deactivating the tower and to prevent you getting to Sector Five. You're going to have to get to the end of the sector before the digital sea gets too high." Jeremy said, before noticing Josh really close to the tower. "Yumi and Aelita, head for the sector's edge. Josh, you're closest to the tower, you're going to have to deactivate it before it's submerged. " He added. "Jeremy it's too late." Josh stated, seeing the digital sea touching the base of the tower, before following Aelita and Yumi towards the sector's edge.
Back in the park the food monster was gaining on Odd and Ulrich, when Jeremy called them. "Jeremy?" Odd asked. "How are you guys doing?" He asked, looking for an update on the situation. "Let's just say we've got indigestion big time without having eaten anything! How 'bout you?!" Odd replied, still running. "It's grim here too. We can't access the tower and Aelita, Yumi and Josh are going to need help." Jeremy answered. "I love it when you talk to me like that, Jeremie. Don't worry, we'll figure something out." Odd said before hanging up, "Want the latest news, Ulrich?" Odd asked. "Is it good?" He asked as they neared the manhole cover. "Not really." Odd replied. "Then no." Ulrich said before lifting up the lid.
Back on Lyoko the group was approaching the edge of the sector but the digital sea was rising quickly. "Jeremy, I don't know if we're going to make it to the edge of the sector." Yumi stated. "Well you have to, to get to the transporter." Jeremy said "Odd and Ulrich should be here soon to give you a hand." He added. "Jeremy, if we get to the edge, Aelita and I might be able to make a wall to protect us from the digital sea once we get there." Josh said the fact that he was in distress was still audible in his voice. "Only if you have to." Jeremy pointed out, remembering the last time Josh did something similar to Aelita's creativity ability.
While this was happening Odd and Urlich had begun climbing down the ladder into the sewers. "Hurry!" Ulrich said seeing the monster approaching quickly before a rain of food began to fall down towards them, Ulrich managed to move the mostly back into place. " Odd, head for the factory while I try stalling this junk heap." Ulrich said, just before an apple fell down the ladder and landed behind them, more food following it. "Ok. I'll let you have all the food – but only because it's you!" Odd replied before he began running towards the factory while Ulrich ran a different direction to try and lead the monster away.
Back on Lyoko as the trio was only halfway to the edge of the sector they began to hear the beat of wings behind them. "Jeremy, don't tell me that Xana is.." Yumi began to say before being cut off. "Hornets after you? He is. " Jeremy replied. "Things were getting boring over here." Yumi said, looking back to see the three hornets. A group of two closing in on Josh and one following her and Aelita. "A little help." Josh said, doing his best to dodge the lasers from the two following him. "I am a sitting duck, considering I can't attack at range." Josh said. In response Aelita threw an energy field destroying one of the hornets chasing Josh, meanwhile Yumi threw her fan and managed to hit the one that was chasing her and Aelita. "Two down, one to go." Yumi stated joyfully. The last hornet, stopped aiming at Josh and instead began to aim at the overbike below him, the hit causing the overbike to be destroyed falling apart to pixels and a wireframe under Josh, who then began to fall uncontrol-able towards the digital sea. Jeremy, noticing this, quickly began to type the devirtualization codes for Josh. "JOSH!." Yumi yelled, throwing a fan slightly ahead of his current path, devirtualizing him before he hit the digital sea. "Well done Yumi. You were faster than I was." Jeremy said as the elevator opened, revealing Odd. "Odd will be joining you two at the edge of the sector in a couple of minutes." Jeremy said before turning to Odd. "Where's Ulrich?" He asked. "He's dealing with the monster in the sewers." Odd answered. "Okay, get down to the scanner room." Jeremy replied, beginning the virtualization process for Odd.
In the scanner room, Josh was recovering from getting devirtualized and also trying to deal with the pain in his head from Xana's current attack on the Core of Lyoko. The elevator opened and Odd walked out. Josh acknowledged Odd, before walking over to the elevator with a hand on his head, heading back up to the lab. Odd meanwhile stepped into a scanner and was virtualized near the edge of the sector, where Yumi and Aelita soon joined him.
Once the three were in position Jeremy typed in the code to bring up the transporter and the white sphere surrounded the three and whisked them away to Sector Five.
Meanwhile in the sewers, Ulirch was running from the food monster, getting slightly ahead of it he jumped into the water in an intersection to let it pass by. Once it did he climbed out and began to head back towards the factory.
In the lab, Josh walked over to Jeremy. "Any news on Ulrich?" He asked, having seen Odd. "No, and I can't reach him on his phone either. Last I heard from Odd, Ulrich was in the sewers" Jeremy said. "I am going to see if I can find him. I am not much use standing around here anyways," Josh said, going back to the elevator to take it up to the surface. Once he reached the surface, he saw Ulrich coming down the ropes. "I managed to lose it in the sewers." Ulrich said, running towards the elevator, knowing the monster was probably not going to be fooled for long. "Then we better head back down to the lab, it will be hard for it to get us there." Josh said, hitting the elevator button as soon as Ulrich got in.
On Lyoko, the three were in Sector Five as the corridor opened. "All of Lyoko has been submerged by the digital sea." Jeremy said updating them on what was going on. "You think we will find what we need to bring the level back down?" Aelita asked as the group began to move out. "I hope so, or else we won't be able to deactivate the tower. So once you find the key Aelita, your going to try and find the information in the terminal while Odd and Yumi go and protect the Core of Lyoko." Jeremy answered.
Back in the lab, Jeremy turned around hearing the elevator again. "How's it going on Lyoko?" Ulrich asked. "Not great, the tower is inaccessible, Lyoko is submerged in the digital sea and Xana is attacking the core." Jeremy explained. "Any you? Where's the food monster that was after you?" He asked. "Not sure, I lost it in the sewers." Ulrich replied, before hearing a noise near the elevator like stuff falling. "I think I just heard the answer." Jeremy said.
On Lyoko, the group had made it to the celestial dome, where Aelita began to hunt for the needed data, while Yumi and Odd hurried off on their vehicles to protect the core. "The first shield layer just blew." Jeremy said worriedly watching the core's status. Yumi and Odd soon arrived at the core beginning to attack the manta and creepers that were attacking it, meanwhile Aelita was digging through Sector Five's database for the codes needed to control the level of the digital sea. Seeing the second shield's power fading quicking Jeremy was getting worried. "Aelita, find anything?" He asked, as he watched manta and creepers starting to disappear off his screen as they were destroyed. "Not yet, but I think I am on the right track." Aelita said as she continued looking, soon finding what she was looking for.
Meanwhile in the lab, Jeremy, Ulrich and Josh heard a strange noise from the direction of the elevator. "I think we may have a problem." Ulrich stated assuming this was the monster piling on top of the elevator trying to get to them. "We aren't the only ones." Jeremy said, noticing not just the second shield weakening but that Odd had been devirtualized while he was talking with Aelita. "Yumi! The second shield doesn't have much strength left." He said to her, before switching his attention back to Aelita. "Aelita, did you find it?" Jeremy asked worriedly. "Yes, I will send it to you now." Aelita said when a creeper came out of the hallway behind her back and shot towards her, lucky missing. "After I deal with this." Aelita said, throwing an energy field directly into its face, destroying it and knocking her backwards and almost off the platform. She then got up and finished sending the data to Jeremy.
In the core room, Yumi was hopping from platform to platform using her fans to destroy the last of the Mantia and Creepers. "Jeremy, I am going to head back to Aelita now. " Yumi said, going down the stairs to get back to her vehicle.
Back in the lab the top of the elevator gave way, allowing the food monster to start piling into the lab. "You guys think you can hold it back while I work on lowering the digital sea?" Jeremy asked, trying to work quickly. "Should be no sweat." Ulrich said, getting in a fighting stance. "I am not exactly in the best condition to do so, but I will try my best." Josh said getting between the monster and Jeremy.
On Lyoko, Yumi got back to Aelita and waited for Jeremy to give them the go ahead to leave. After what felt like an eternity, Jeremy spoke up. "Okay, the digital sea should now be back at its normal level, I have opened a tunnel to the mountain sector." Jeremy said, the loud sound of the monster's cans and other food hitting the way could be heard. "Everything already in the lab?" Yumi asked heading towards the tunnel with Aelita. "Not exactly, the food monster is here, Josh and Ulrich are trying to handle it." Jeremy said, slightly panicked. "Okay, we will get that tower deactivated as soon as possible then." Yumi replied.
Aelita and Yumi came out of a way tower not that far from the activated tower, where one Krab was standing guard. "Looks like Xana is still putting up a fight." Aelita said throwing an energy field towards the Krab, which it easily dodged as it began shooting towards them, hitting the overwing, causing the two to tumble to the ground. "Aelita, head for the tower, I will deal with the Krab." Yumi said, blocking lasers with her fan, before throwing it at the Krab, destroying it. Aelita then walked to the tower and entered it.
In the lab the monster focused mostly on Josh trying to crush him with itself. "Ulrich a little help!" Josh said having a hard time keeping away from it, as the monster was about to slam a pile of canned food down on Josh it suddenly fell apart. Josh breathed heavily, in a sigh of relief.
On Lyoko, Aelita had deactivated the tower. "Jeremy time to lunch a return to the past." Ulrich said. "Since Jim is definitely not going to forget this monster." He added. "Okay, I am launching it now." Jeremy said entering the codes for a return before hitting enter.
After the return to the past the group was back at lunch eating. Odd was still very unhappy with the food that was there. "So did anyone else notice that Xana seems to be focusing on trying to get rid of me lately?" Josh asked. "I did notice that, I wonder if it has anything to do with your connection to Lyoko's core programming." Jeremy said thinking. "I don't think he planned on your program integrating itself into Lyoko." Jeremy added. "Also Jeremy, about that, I had an idea to research, if he used the keys to escape from Lyoko, so he wasn't bound to the supercomputer, isn't there a chance I could do that same? " Josh said. "Maybe, although being bound to Lyoko itself, isn't what is keeping you tied to the supercomputer." Aelita said after hearing the conversation. "True, but it would be a start." Josh said with a smile.
