It was actually a surprise to April how comfortable she felt with Mark. Luv was so obviously not any sort of pickup attempt.
"I can live with that, darling."
Mark chuckled at that.
"Darling?"
"If you were a woman? Well, I suppose I'd still use darling."
There were a trio of clocks on one wall, showing local time, London time, and Tokyo time. Mark glanced at them and then to April.
"Shall we embark on our first dangerous mission together?"
Now April was the one looking puzzled.
"What dangerous mission is that?"
"Braving the cafeteria. It's lunch time."
