A few days later, Aang, Sokka, Katara, Suki, and Ty Lee have returned to the Fire Nation as Iroh was with them.
"This can't be real." Zuko said in disbelief.
"It's true." Katara said. "Somehow, she's hijacked a ship and could be sailing back here right now as we speak."
"We have to stop her." Aang declared.
"How?" Sokka asked. "She could be anywhere by now."
"Then we better alert other allies, and begin search parties." Suki said.
"We better get going and get started." Ty Lee said. "Let's get Appa."
"There's just one problem." Toph said chiming in. "Azula could easily track us down on Appa."
"Hmm." Aang pondered.
He then turns to the Banshees as Appa stood by them as Gyatso squawked.
"Then, we'll take the Banshees." Aang informed. "They have no fear, therefore leave no trail."
"We'll split up in teams, me and Ty Lee will check the Earth Kingdom with the Kyoshi Warriors." Suki said.
"We leave within the hour." Aang said.
Close to an hour later, they were nearly ready as they were saddled up.
"You sure you'll be okay here?" Aang asked.
"We keep a close watch here incase Azula decides to make an appearance here." Iroh said.
"We've got extra guards surrounding the palace." Zuko added.
"All right, we won't be long." Aang said.
"You sure about splitting up?" Sokka asked a little concern.
"We'll cover more ground that way." Suki said. "And don't worry, we'll be fine."
They soon flew off as Suki and Ty Lee flew in a different direction to meet with the other Kyoshi Warriors.
Towards sunset, Aang, Sokka, Katara, and Toph have arrived at a clearing in the forest and were beginning to set up camp.
"So, how are we gonna track down Azula?" Toph asked.
"Not sure yet, but we know she has a hijacked under her control." Aang said. "Just have to be ready for her."
"Let's just hope we find her before she finds us." Katara said.
Several hours later, they were all asleep as Momo lightly purred and Sokka snored a bit.
"Oh, no, no, no." Sokka muttered in his dream.
Gyatso, Kya, and Balto were also asleep, but also partly alerted for any sudden noise.
In her earth tent, Toph was peacefully asleep, but then woke up and gasped startled as he placed her left hand on the ground. It was faint, but Toph could feel a slight vibration and felt it was approaching them. And outside, the three Banshees woke up as they too sense something was coming.
Toph got up and rushed out her tent.
"Something's coming towards us!" Toph yelled out as they woke up.
"What is it?" Aang asked. "Is it Azula?"
Toph pressed her hand on the ground again. "No. It feels like a group of them."
"How many?" Katara asked.
"Five at least." Toph informed.
"Azula doesn't seem like the team player, recently." Sokka said.
"We should probably go still." Katara said not wanting to take a chance.
"Come on." Aang said.
They quickly managed to gather their things, and they took off flying as Toph rode with Sokka.
And several minutes later, a shadow looms at the abandoned campsite. The creature then sniffs the air huffing and breathing heavily and sniffing the ground as well, and a big claw on the toe taps as other joined it. And then one lightly growls after catching a scent.
Aang and the others meanwhile flew several miles before finally finding another clearing to land.
"I sure hope that wasn't Azula." Katara said.
"She was on a boat when we last saw her." Sokka said.
"Look, we'll worry about this later." Aang said holding a sleeping bag. "Let's just get some rest."
A few hours later, they were asleep again as their Banshees also sleeping kept their ears alerted at the slightest sound. As they knew something is definitely out there.
Then suddenly Toph rose up awake.
"They're back!" Toph said as they woke up.
"Well, how far away are they?" Sokka asked. "Maybe we can just lay for a few minutes."
Aang and Katara then turned to Gyatso, Kya, and Balto as they chittered and lightly squawked completely alarmed with whatever is following them.
"I don't think so, Sokka." Aang said.
They soon gathered up again, and flew off once more.
"Seriously, what's following us?" Katara said rubbing her eye awake.
"And how do they keep finding us?" Toph added.
"I don't know." Aang said. "But this time, we're gonna make sure we lose them."
They then continued on
A half hour later, they flew near a mountain range as they soon landed on a flat-surfaced rock bed.
"You okay, boy?" Aang asked Gyatso.
Gyatso nickered lightly.
"At least they're holding out better than us or Appa." Katara said stroking Kya.
"For now, at least." Sokka said.
"Hopefully, whoever is chasing us, can't follow us up here." Aang said. "So let's get some sleep."
They then begin to lay down as their Banshees kept watch.
A few minutes later, Momo chittered as he stood up and climbed on Sokka.
"Momo, no. Shhh." Sokka said holding a finger up. "Sleep time."
Gyatso, Kya, and Balto then got just as wary as Momo.
"Oh, you gotta be kidding me..." Sokka say burying his face in the ground.
"That's impossible." Aang said shocked. "No way they could've tracked us up here."
"I can feel them with my own two feet!" Toph said.
"They then hurried to the ledge and the pathway beyond stood a pack of Atrociraptors as they snarled eyeing them.
"Those raptors were able to track and keep up with us?" Katara said nervously.
"They're persistent, I'll give them that." Aang admitted. "But why?"
And then a Mongoose Lizard appeared joining beside them. And they then saw someone riding it as the figure was dressed in black, and the figure then lowered her mask reveal to be Azula.
"Azula!" Katara said alarmed.
"How did manage to track us?!" Sokka yelled.
Azula then whistled sharply as the Atrociraptors as they roared and then swiftly charged towards them. Toph quickly earthbends a large bend on the ledge as they hurried to the Banshees hoping the wall will buy them some time. And the Atrociraptors got the leap as it was too high for them to jump over, and then Azula on the Mongoose Lizard rushed towards them as she then charges up a lightning bolt and then fires blowing the wall apart.
The dust soon clears up as they advanced to the rock bed, but saw they were already gone.
Aang's group were already far away from the ledge as they flew off.
"I can't believe Azula was able to track us down." Katara said shocked.
"Those raptors with her must be the reason how." Aang said.
"I don't know if we're gonna get some sleep tonight." Sokka said.
"Yeah, each time we land, Azula is bound to be on top of us." Katara said.
Aang then looks around, and spots something promising.
"Wait, I got it." Aang said.
Several minutes later, they were in a shallow cave of a cliff face with no pathways, and surely impossible for the raptors to follow them.
"Okay, this is bound to work, right?" Sokka said.
"No way Azula can reach us." Aang said.
"Let's hope so." Katara said. "Toph, you think-"
Snoring was heard as they then saw her on her sleeping bag already knocked out.
"Let's get some sleep." Aang said.
They soon begin to lay down to rest.
Many miles away, in another area of forest, the ground vibrates as an old female T. Rex patrols the forest sniffing the air as the ground vibrates with each footfall. She was no stranger, but the same Tyrannosaur that Aang and the others met a year ago. Now has a territory of her own, and looking for a spot to settle for the night.
She then approaches a tree with a shallow passage and turns to it, she sniffs the entrance and found that nothing has been here recently.
The T. Rex soon enters inside and turns and lowers down to rest.
A few minutes, heavy footfalls were heard approaching as she woke and got to her feet. The Tyrannosaurus heads outside to investigate, and growled as branches were heard snapping as then a Giganotosaurus appearing roaring.
Both predators stood their ground confronting each other, and then they both roared out loudly. They then charged as the Giganotosaur pushed the Rex back and then bites down on her face as she roars pain. But as she struggles to pull free, she was dangerously close to a cliff edge, and then part of the edge broke off as she slipped and fell as the Giganotosaurus was dragged down with her.
The giant predators roll and tumble down the steep angled cliff before finally hitting the ground below. They soon got to their feet as they both roared out at each other. They then circled each other, and then the Giganotosaurus charges as he rams the Rex's side plowing her into a tree as the impact from them both knocked it down. Both predators were then at each other's throats as they fought and then the T. Rex kicks the Giganotosaur in the face as he stumbles back and she got up.
The Giganotosaurus soon recovers, and then charges as the Tyrannosaur growled. And then once close enough, the T. Rex side-steps just as the Giganotosaur snaps his jaws, and the Rex bites down on his neck and then with every once of strength, she twirls around and throws him aside as he then lost his footing and hits the ground hard.
The Giganotosaurus lays on the ground for a few moments, and then rolls and got to his feet and shook his head. And then walks off having lost this battle.
The Tyrannosaurus breathes heavily and growls as the Giganotosaur had left bad wounds on her neck and side. And then she lets out a thunderous roar as it echoes out through the forest as birds off.
Before long, she manages to limp back to the passage and lays down to rest.
Three days later, Suki, Ty Lee, along with the other Kyoshi Warriors were scouting the area as they were picking berries at the moment. And Kyoshi and Ty Lee's Banshee were close by standing guard.
As they were picking berries, one Kyoshi Warrior noticed a patch of red on the bush and saw it was a patch of dried blood, but still had some wetness.
"Must have been some fight." She said.
Suki turns to her, and then saw the forest floor close to them littered with large footprints, turned-up dirt, trampled foliage, and broken branches, and patches of blood as well.
Suki follows the trail knowing something has happened here, and she climbs up the hill and reaches the top and then gasped seeing a sad sight.
"Oh, no." Suki sad sadly.
She saw the T. Rex still injured as the Giganotosaurus has done severed damaged to her. And the Tyrannosaurus saw her as she got up and got in a defensive stance, and Suki walks up near the entrance knowing not to get too close. But it was then that she noticed the old scars on her right side that were familiar to her, as well as the row of three old scars on her jaw corner to her neck.
Suki felt sorry for the Rex, and knew well she was just in a fight with another dinosaur. She kneels down and brought a piece of salmon.
"It's gonna be okay, girl." Suki said and stood up and backs away. "I have to leave, but I'm gonna be back soon with help."
Suki walks off down the cliff, and once out of view, The T. Rex steps out from her lair and stares at the salmon piece.
Several minutes later, Suki was back by the cliff with Ty Lee and five other Kyoshi Warriors.
"No sudden movements." Suki informed to them. "She looks to be recover from a big fight, and badly hurt. Stay low and stay quiet."
"You sure this was the same creature you met from last year?" A Kyoshi Warrior asked.
"Yes." Suki said and begins to head up the hill. "This could be our biggest task yet."
They begin to follow her as they reached the top, and the T. Rex while sleeping, awakens and then got up in a defensive stance growling loudly. An adult T. Rex, even one wounded, can still defend herself very effectively.
"Give her some space!" Suki ordered.
Ty Lee and the other Kyoshi Warriors quickly stepped back as Suki turns back to the T. Rex.
"Easy, big girl." Suki said gently. "It's me, Suki. I'm a friend." She said hoping she might recognized her.
The T. Rex lightly growled staring her down as Suki slowly approached her.
"I want to help you." Suki said. "You're hurt. We can help you feel better."
The wary Tyrannosaurus growls seemingly in response. She softly growls, and almost in an ultimate test of trust, Suki reaches her hand out and gently placed on the Rex's snout and she lays down with Suki kneeling down in front of her.
About an hour later, Suki and the other Kyoshi Warriors have tended the Tyrannosaurus' wounds with herbs and ointments to keep them from getting infected. And sparing her some of their supply of meat and fish. And the T. Rex looks to be back in good health, and she even lightly nudges one of them as a thanks.
Then, the T. Rex perks up alertly and growls out as Suki turns to the direction she was facing realizing something was wrong.
And then a lightning bolt struck a tree as it tips over and fell hitting the ground as the T. Rex roars. And then the Atrociraptor pack appeared as Azula on her Mongoose Lizard followed. And Suki and the other Kyoshi Warriors drew their swords out and got in defensive stances with their shield fans.
"My, my, am I in for a treat." Azula sneered.
"Should've known you'd show up sooner or later." Suki said.
"Well, if it isn't the Avatar Warriors and the little traitor." Azula snarled.
"You're the one whose betrayed your country, Azula." Ty Lee glared.
"No matter, because unlike you and Mai once were, these four are as loyal as any vault." Azula gestured to the Atrociraptors. "And they serve me, and only me. Allow me to demonstrate."
She then sharply whistles, and the Atrociraptors roared charging towards the as Azula then launches a large fireball as the Kyoshi Warriors scatter and the T. Rex flees as the two Banshees flew off.
The Kyoshi Warriors quickly went on the offense as the pack splits up in two teams, Red and Tiger attacking one group, and Ghost and Panthera attacking another as Suki and Ty Lee fought Azula.
One Kyoshi Warrior swung her sword swinging at Red as he leaps back dodging the blade. But then Tiger lunges and tackles her to the ground, and then she struggles to keep her at bay as Tiger snaps her jaws viciously just missing her face. But another Kyoshi Warrior quickly whacks the raptor with a branch knocking Tiger aside and helps her fellow Warrior help.
Another Kyoshi Warrior charges towards Panthera as she swung her sword at the raptor, but he dodges her attacks as he swiftly moves around as the Warrior quickly held her shield over her just barely avoiding a swipe from his claws. And then a flying shield struck the raptor in the face
Suki and Ty Lee meanwhile were still fighting Azula as she attacks them with fire bursts. Suki then rushed in with her sword, and then everything went slow-mo as Azula leaps and twirls preparing to knock Suki's sword out from her grip. But Suki remembered what last time, and acting faster she spins as Azula lands on the ground and Suki swiftly swung her sword as then the tip grazed the right side of Azula's face.
Azula then yelled in pain as she retreats back, and soon turns back to them as blood drips from the wound.
"Guess we're starting to gain an upper hand." Suki smirked.
Azula growled and then throws a fireball at her as she and Ty Lee leaped back avoiding it. And Azula lunges at Suki and knocks her back, Ty Lee rushed in to help, but acting fast, Azula caught her fist and then punches her back as Ty Lee hits the ground. Azula circles her arms preparing a lightning attack, but Suki then tackles her to the ground.
The two got up as Azula quickly spins a roundhouse knocking Suki's fan from her grip, Suki gasped as then Azula does another swift roundhouse kick to the face knocking Suki back against a tree as her headpiece fell off.
Suki shook her head regaining her senses now having a split lip.
"Had enough?" Azula asked.
"I'm just getting warmed up." Suki said and tightens her shield fan on her wrist.
"Oh my, aren't you a stubborn one?" Azula said grins getting in a fighting stance. "While I admire your resolve, you should learn to admit defeat. There would be more dignity in it."
Suki then charges as Azula prepares to throw a fireball, but Suki flew her left arm over Azula's arm avoiding it. And before Azula could react, Suki caught her right arm and then pulls Azula off her feet and rolls and holds Azula's right arm in a tight lock pinning her.
As Azula fights to break free from her grip, Suki then place her leg over Azula and then with a sharp twist she pulls Azula's arm out from it's socket. And Suki quickly backs away and went over to Ty Lee and helps her up.
"You okay?" Suki asked.
"Yeah." Ty Lee replied.
She helps Ty Lee help as Azula painfully manages to get to feet as there was no sign of the other Kyoshi Warriors as they must be busy dealing with the Atrociraptor pack. Azula glared despite down on one arm, but not out of the fight just yet.
"I'm not done with you two just yet." Azula snarled.
She then whistled sharply as then Tiger approached confronting the two as they backed, but then Red appearing screeching.
Then Ghost suddenly rushed in towards Suki as she barely had time to react as Ghost manages to bite her wrist hard. Suki yelled in pain as the raptor soon lets go and Suki held the wound.
Suki and Ty Lee were then back-to-back facing the raptors Tiger screeches. And they both turn to Red as he approaches them and then rears back in a lunging position.
He then lunges when then suddenly the T. Rex lunges from nowhere and snatches the raptor and lifts her victim as Red shrieks helplessly in her bone-crushing bite. And Suki and Ty Lee completely stunned turn to their savior.
The T. Rex shakes her victim to death as Red soon limps as Suki and Ty Lee backed away and the Tyrannosaurus then roars throwing her victim to the ground. Ghost and Tiger shrieked backing away and flee, and the T. Rex roars loudly as Suki and Ty Lee quickly rushed off.
"Thank you, Rexy." Ty Lee said.
"Ty Lee!" Suki yelled.
"Okay." Ty Lee and catches up.
Ghost and Tiger fall back as Azula holding her arm struggles on her Mongoose Lizard, but then suddenly the Tyrannosaurus charges and the Mongoose Lizard tries to flee but the dinosaurs bites down on the lizard's back as Azula was tossed off it. She manages to crawl back as the Mongoose Lizard turns to it's attack, and the Tyrannosaurus Rex bites down on her victim growling as she shakes it to death like terrier mauling a chew toy.
Azula retreats into the bushes as the T. Rex rips a slab of meat. She soon got to her feet and heads off.
Suki and Ty Lee soon manage to rejoin with the other Kyoshi Warriors.
"Is everyone okay?" Suki asked.
"We're fine." One of them said. "It's you we're worried about."
Suki turns to her wounded wrist and removes her hand as Ghost has already done her damaged. As the raptor's teeth had torn through the wrist-guard and sleeve as it was bleeding.
"Come on, we better go." Ty Lee said.
They then hurried off.
