After the turn of events with what is apparently a Junior Division to the Legion of Doom, lead by Lincoln's old rival, Chandler (if you can even call him that), the New Teen Titans decided to lay low for a little while and unfortunately, that meant going to school. Donna, Lincoln and Raven were all put into the same middle school in Royal Woods, and the white-haired boy used to feel so nervous about moving up in grades. But after because a Superhero, he knew now that it was the least of his worries.

"Still. Give me fighting any sort of bad guy over this." Lincoln said as he and the girls walked down the hall.

"Come now, Lincoln. It can't be that bad." Donna tried to reassured him, only for the three of them to wind up running into trio of bullies, Taylor, Anderson and Pablo.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the white-haired twerp, back here again." Anderson remarked in his snarky tone. "I thought you skipped town after your family figured out you were worthless."

These three urged Lincoln and his friends for no good reason before, but not this time. While Lincoln couldn't use his powers in public, he did have the confidence to stand up for himself and others now.

"You heard wrong, Anderson. And I thought you three would've quit it with being typical high bullies by now. Just stand aside, we're gonna be late for class."

"Oh, ho, no." The short-haired bully said. "You and your new little friends here need to be taught their place." But then, he turned to Raven and put on a cocky expression on his face. "Unless you stick by us, then I'm sure we can make an exception, beautiful."

"Barking up the wrong tree, jerks." Raven said, shocking the bullies for a second, but Anderson still kept a straight face.

"Now look here, babe. I'm trying to be nice to you and you decide to run your mouth at me?" He got in Raven's face, but she remained expressionless. "Well, a Goth like you would probably have nothing to live for anyway."

But then, Donna get in between them and told Anderson "Enough of that! We have nothing against you, so just leave us be."

"You don't get a say in this twerp." Taylor then spoke up, jabbing a finger at the young Amazon. "You either do what we say and learn you place, or this could get real ugly real quick."

"She said enough!" Lincoln yelled out, shocking the three once again and getting them to back off as they stood back. "I learned how to deal with you the last time I was here. Don't think for a second I won't be able to do so again."

Anderson, being the most stubborn of the three, continued to overstep his bounds as he continued to say stupid things like "You got off easy last time. But now, we're showing whose really in charge here."

"Well, we tried to be nice." Lincoln replied before he and Donna cracked his fingers and Raven's eyes started to glow. The first day back to school was gonna be a doozy, and now just for them.

They weren't the only ones, since Lucy, Haiku, and Damian also had to attend school, at least elementary school, and the son of Batman was the least excited about that since he didn't care much for school, especially not a public school such as this.

"I can't believe my father was convinced to let me be part of this institutionalized foolishness." Robin grumbled.

"It's not so bad." Haiku replied. "If it's any consolation, it can get pretty interesting around here."

"If you want, you could join the mortician's club." Lucy replied. "I'm sure you'd fit right in."

Damian half-heartily replied "I prefer painting over poetry."

"Suit yourself."

And the rest of the day was just as normal as it could've been with the two goths showing Damian around, him meeting Mrs. Jordan, one of Lincoln's former teachers, and who was now his. In fact, a lot of the classes Damian has were exactly what Lincoln had before. Overall, it was something that just felt too easy for him, and just as Lincoln felt, he wished for some action.

"I'll take fighting maniacs in Gotham over this any of the day." He said.

"Not every day can be about fighting criminals, Damian." Lucy remarked. "Though, I'm sure-"

She was interrupted by the sound of beeping coming from the boy as he pulled out his own Titan's Communicator. In fact, they all had been given one after the formation of the Team and meeting Starfire, their instructor. Soon after, Lucy, Haiku, and the others in the middle out a communicator of their own and saw that they were getting an alert.

The voice of Starfire could be heard coming through every one of them. "Titans, I know we don't news like this after...the third day on the job, but there is a crisis in progress at the moment."

"What's the situation?" Robin asked.

"Black Manta has spotted emerging by Great Lake City, him and an army of pirates."

"Ronnie Anne..." Lincoln spoke in fear...and the next thing you know, there's a brand new set of holes in the middle school's ceiling, floor after floor. Raven and Donna followed suit and the trio at the elementary school made their own way to the city. The Children of Superman and the New Teen Titans wasn't gonna let Great Lake City fall at the hands of a crazed, vengeful, cybernetically enhanced pirate with a big head.

Speaking of which, the city was in a panic with people trying to get away from the army Black Manta brought along with him.

"Aquaman was here. I tracked him and his damn Kingdom to this backwater city, and I won't stop until I pierce my blades through his heart!" He yelled out, raising his Atlantean sword in the air, and the retractable sword at his gauntlet.

The only ones that weren't running, however, was Ronnie Anne and her friend Sid. After making sure that their families were safe, the girls knew that it was now their time to be heroes. Ronnie Anne felt ready, but Sid...was having second thoughts about this.

"You really think we're cut out for this, Ronnie Anne?" She asked to her friend, who kept a face of determination.

"You have no idea, Sid. We got this, don't worry." Ronnie Anne replied before turning her head and seemed to be talking to no one in particular. "Alright, little guy. Show me what you can do."

And that is when her spine seemed to be glowing a bright blue until the back of her hoodie began to burn away to reveal the scarab formatting in its glory. Forming around her was the power suit of the Blue Beetle, and Ronnie Anne was apparently chosen to take up the mantle by the super weapon. Activating the jet back and wings, Ronnie Anne flew up to where Black Manta was standing. Sid took a deep breath and followed suit herself, breaking into a run before jumping and suddenly, she morphed into an Eagle.

Black Manta was expecting the Justice League, or at least Aquaman to show up after prettying much challenging him. What he wasn't expecting was for two young girls, one in a blue and black armored suit and that turned from an eagle to her normal self in but a second.

"Is comic-con supposed to be in this city this year?" He snarled sarcastically. "Who are you and what do you want?"

"Buddy, don't you know a pair of heroes when you see them?" Ronnie Anne with her now cyberized. "We're gonna tell you once. Get out of our city and get a butt whooping."

"You think you can stand up to me? You have any idea who I am?" He then points his wrist blade at them. Under her helmet, Ronnie Anne smirked as she stretched out her hand to configure a blade of her.

"Mine's bigger." She said with a smile as Sid growled and turned into a Tiger. Not having it with these two, Manta fired a plasma beam from his eyes and the two split across the rooftop before they met him in battle. But it didn't go as well as Ronnie Anne was hoping; she was a little girl in an armored suit and Manta was a pirate with years of fighting, pillaging, and plundering. To say that they did badly was...putting it mildly.

Give them a break, they only just discovered their powers yesterday.

To put it shortly, Ronnie Anne, and Sid were slammed back onto the road, and Manta stood before them. Some of his pirate army showed up around them and pointed their weapons at the two kids.

"This went a lot better in my head." Ronnie Anne groaned.

"Well, that's what happens when you try to play here." Manta remarked, raising one of his blades and looking ready to strike them down...that is, until a great wave of water came around then and swallowed Manta's army and through them into the nearby lake. All this was courtesy of Haiku, who came down in a spiral of water.

"You're the sad pirate my dad had talked about." She said plainly. "Told me that you'd be more dangerous than this."

"You're father...Aquaman...how many children must that sorry sonuvabitch must have?!"

Lincoln did the iconic Superman landing next to Haiku as the others came before him

"He's not the only one who's been busy making a family." He said as the new Teen Titans came before the crazed Pirate. But behind that big head of his, he did not seem deterred, or impressed by any of them at all.

"The line of heroes has fallen since I've last seen them. Whatever you do, makes no difference. Nothing will stop what's come and you-"

And, he didn't have time to finish that because Lincoln just went into a sniper shot speed, punching him in the chest and having him into a building...and then another building.

"Well...that was easy." He said with a smirk on his face.

Damian pulled out his communicator and said "I'll call for a retrieval team."

As he was doing that, Lincoln pulled Ronnie Anne back on her feet, shaking her out of her daze, and she was surprised to see what Lincoln just did.

"So, you and Sid are superheroes too?" He remarked, and she was still shocked from all this as he puts his hand on her shoulder. "We have to catch up on."
