A/N: Thank you all so much for the reviews thus far! A couple notes to clarify some things I couldn't fit in the initial summary that have been asked. This is kind of alternate universe in the sense there is no Calzona history and there was no plane crash. Other than that, AZ is still a pediatric doctor and I believe Callie will make an appearance later in the story too. Thank you all!

Lynzee opened the door to Joe's for Arizona and she walked in with Lynzee close behind.

"The usual, Dr. Robbins?" The bartender asked as he noticed her walk in.

"Yes, please. Thank you!"

"And for you?"

"I'll take a Chuck Light" Lynzee said as she and Arizona took their seats at the bar.

"Coming right up!"

"So, Dr. Robbins…" Lynzee started.

Arizona placed her hand on Lynzee's arm. "I told you, call me Arizona, please." She looked deeply into Lynzee's eyes and smiled flashing her dimples as if she was playing innocently.

Lynzee cocked a half smile, "Arizona…"

"That's better" Arizona let her hand slide off Lynzee's arm brushing down past her wrist and hand as she pulled her hand back and took her glass of wine that was just set down in front of her.

Lynzee lifted her draft beer and clinked glasses with Arizona and took a drink. Arizona sipped her wine.

"Not to sound cliché but, do you come here often?" Lynzee asked smiling at how silly it sounded. "The bartender knows your drink so…"

Arizona smiled, "Well the hospital is right across the street."

"Okay I'll give you that. So what are the key must know pieces of information I need to know about Arizona Robbins, M.D."

"Well, I'm a pediatric surgeon. I was named after the USS Arizona, not the state. My father was a military man, so we moved around a lot when I was a kid. I think we moved like 18 times? I had a brother, who died serving for our country. I don't like trivia. I think Sudoku is boring. When I'm really stressed out I smoke, bad habit, I know. I hate camping, and I don't like flying."

"I'm very sorry about your brother."

"Thank you, he was my best friend. Do you have any siblings?"

"Uh… no, no siblings." Lynzee quickly changed the subject. "You moved 18 times huh? That's quite a lot."

"Yeah it was, but no matter where we went my dad would take me skating when we got there so that always stayed the same. How did you get to playing baseball. Any why baseball and not softball?"

Lynzee laughed a little and smiled, "You don't know anything about me do you?"

Arizona gave Lynzee an apologetic look, "I'm sorry, no not really. I don't really follow baseball at all and honestly hadn't even heard about you until the morning you came in. My friend April knew all about you though."

"Oh, well, what am I doing here with you? Give me April's number!" Lynzee said jokingly. "It's okay, really. It's actually kind of nice. I can tell you everything myself without you making up your own opinions based on what scripted story gets put out by the press." Lynzee's face when a little sad and serious.

"Okay…" Arizona was curious now where Lynzee was going with all this.

Lynzee took a big drink and finished her beer and motioned for another from the bartender. "I grew up in the foster system. My biological mom was a drug addict and I don't know anything about my biological father. I was born premature because of the drugs she was taking while she was pregnant with me. I was in the NICU for a while I guess and while I was in there she left and never came back. So I was put into the foster care system, and you would think I would easily get adopted as a baby right, cause that's what people usually want right? Well not when you have a slew of medical issues because your biological mother was a crack fiend. Not to mention a lot of the foster families I got put with had a lot of other kids to deal with so it was difficult to try to remember all of my appointments and I ended up getting bounced around a lot in the early years. I don't even remember having a birthday party until I was like 9? My 3rd grade teacher had made a cake at home and brought it in for me. I remember it was a white cake with strawberries. That was the nicest thing anyone had ever done for me, up until that moment." Lynzee cleared her throat and took another drink of her fresh beer. "I actually didn't even start playing baseball until I was in high school. I had developed breasts at that point and things were getting weird with some of the boys I was living with, including the foster dad. I'd hang around the school after classes were over and find different ways to occupy my time. I'd leave doors or windows open so I could sneak back in after the janitor was gone for the night so I could sleep at the school versus at home. Weekends were the best cause I had the whole school to myself after 8pm on Friday. One weekend after baseball season had started I found a bucket of balls and I just started throwing the ball as hard as I could at this mat that had a square target on it. I kept hitting that square over and over and over. I did this for about a week, I'd get done with classes, hide out somewhere in the school or nearby until the janitor was gone and then sneak back in and throw this bucket of baseballs over and over. One Sunday, when I wasn't expecting anyone, the baseball coach had come into the gym to set up some different stations or something for practice the next day, and he caught me throwing these balls at this target. I thought I was going to be in so much trouble but he wasn't mad, he was excited. He said he wanted me to play for him. I was like, 'how? I'm a girl I can't play baseball.' and he was like 'I wouldn't care if you were an orangutan, you're playing for me.' And that was it. I started playing baseball. I could throw just as hard as the guys, a lot of times harder. He gave me lessons on how to throw different pitches, helped me get recruited for college. He even let me sleep in his office there at the school. It was... our little secret."

"Wow." Arizona was amazed from Lynzee's background story. "It's amazing what you've been through. Are you still close with your high school coach? I imagine he'd want to come see you play."

"He died of lung cancer my senior year of college. He smoked more than just when he was stressed out."

"I'm so sorry."

"It's okay, he was a great guy. Just a bad way to go. Let's make a toast, to your brother, and coach Williams. Gone but never forgotten."

"Amen." Arizona paused for a moment and took another sip of her wine. "So that's why the hospital event was so important to you."

"Yeah. I've been the sick kid in the hospital. I know how lonely and scary it can be."

Arizona placed her hand back on Lynzee's. "So what is a typical day for you now?"

"Well, I wake up, go for a 3 mile run, come back, eat my Wheaties, go to the ballpark and get my work out in, if it's a throwing day I'll throw some, then I go soak in either an ice bath or heat, and then go to practice, shower, and then come home. Things will be a little different when the season starts."

"You really eat Wheaties?"

Lynzee leaned in close to Arizona's ear and Arizona quickly felt chills run through her body as the vibrations from Lynzee's voice whispered, "I have to say that right now, I'm about to be on the next box."

"Really?! That's exciting!" Arizona laughed a little as she squirmed in her seat. "You spend a lot of time working out."

Lynzee retreated back into her own space, "Well, it's kind of my job to be in the best shape so I can have the best performance. Have you ever been to a professional baseball game?"

"No, I can't say that I have."

"If I got you tickets to Opening Day would you come?"

Arizona thought about it for a moment.

"I can get more than 1, so you won't have to sit by yourself, just let me know and I'll make it happen."

"I'll ask around, I know April would love to go. Let me see about some of the other doctors and I'll let you know. Are you going to pitch?"

"I don't know… I haven't been named as a starting pitcher. That's usually a job you have to earn. I may come in as a reliever at some point but really just depends on how the game plays out."

"So you might not play at all."

"Correct. That's the way it goes. And even if I ever do become a starter I'd only pitch like every 5th game or so."

"Wow, what a gig."

"I love it. I can't imagine doing anything else."

"It's great when you can find something you're passionate about."

"You're passionate about being a pediatric surgeon I take it?"

"Oh yes, I wouldn't have it any other way."

"I'm sure that was hard, doing all that school and clinicals and what not."

"Oh yeah, it's not for the faint of heart that's for sure."

"I wouldn't be able to do what you do, it takes a special kind of person to be able to take care of sick kids the way you must do on a daily basis."

"It can get really intense sometimes." The two were staring intensely at one another. Lynzee again licked her lips and cleared her throat a bit. Arizona was beginning to learn Lynzee did this when she became nervous and it excited Arizona she could do this to her. Arizona cocked her head to the side smiling at Lynzee.

"Do you…" Lynzee started

Arizona nodded, "Want to get out of here? Yes…"

"Yeah?"

"Yeah."

Lynzee threw down a 50 and the two walked out of Joe's.

Arizona lead Lynzee back across the street to the hospital parking lot and headed to Arizona's car.

"Are you okay to drive? I can call my driver and he can be here in less than 2 minutes."

"We're not going anywhere," Arizona said, as she pushed Lynzee up against her car and kissed her deeply. Lynzee slid her hand behind Arizona on her back and slid her hand up behind her head through Arizona's hair. Lynzee kissed Arizona back sliding her tongue inside Arizona's mouth and along Arizona tongue, tasting the sweetness of her wine. Arizona grabbed the belt loops on Lynzee's jeans and pulled her hips into her as she kissed her back. Lynzee turned them around so she was pushing Arizona into the car now and abandoned her lips to kiss down her chin as Arizona rested her head back exposing her neck and inviting Lynzee to kiss her there as well. Lynzee accepted the invitation and licked and sucked along Arizona's neck tracing her tongue down to Arizona's collarbone.

Arizona fumbled for her keys as she was enjoying this pleasure and unlocked the car and grabbed for the handle of the backseat. The two paused long enough to get the door open and Arizona slid into the backseat and Lynzee followed in behind her. Arizona unzipped Lynzee's jacket and helped Lynzee take it off of her arms. Lynzee tossed it into the front seat and moved in on Arizona laying Arizona back along her backseat hovering over her.

"Are you sure about this?" Lynzee asked.

"Shut up and don't stop." Arizona answered breathlessly as she pulled Lynzee down on top of her kissing her deeply again.

Lynzee slid her right hand up Arizona's shirt cupping her left breast while kissing down along her jawline down to her chin again. Arizona roamed her hands along Lynzee's backside and down to her ass pulling Lynzee towards Arizona's hips. Arizona wrapped her right leg around the back of Lynzee's left and moaned as she felt her left nipple pinched and become erect. Lynzee lifted Arizona's shirt up just enough to expose her breasts hidden by her black lacy bra and then pulled the cup of the bra down to free her nipples which sprang to life. Arizona was pushing her hips up to meet Lynzee asking to be touched below the belt as she reached for Lynzee's belt and quickly began undoing the buckle. Lynzee took the unspoken hint and slid her right hand down to the button on Arizona's jeans and undid them with one hand and slowly unzipped the zipper. Arizona got to her destination first and slid her middle finger down between Lynzee's folds and found a waterfall. Lynzee jumped at the touch as Arizona glided her finger over Lynzee's clit and circled it slowly.

Arizona whispered, "Oh my God you're so wet, I love it. I want you to make you cum first."

Lynzee sucked on Arizona's nipples as she slid over Arizona's fingers back and forth, riding over Arizona's hand as it explored her slick folds. Arizona slid two fingers inside Lynzee and slid her thumb over her clit.

"Oh fuck, yeah" Lynzee breathed out as she moved over Arizona faster and faster.

"C'mon, let me hear you."

Lynzee was grinding her hips over Arizona up and down, fingers moving in and out, faster, faster. Lynzee grunted as she came and collapsed on Arizona, resting her head between Arizona's breasts. Arizona slid her hand out from Lynzee who jumped at feeling Arizona's fingers slide out of her. Arizona reached down and started to rub herself.

"Oh no, I don't think so" Lynzee grabbed Arizona's wrist and stopped her. "You're not getting off that easy."

"But I am getting off," Arizona teased as she raised an eyebrow.

"Oh, I'm going to get you off, just watch me."

"I intend to," Arizona challenged.
