Author's Note:
So… this was an idea that I had for a while. But I wasn't sure how to go about it. Then suddenly, it hit me and I wrote this chapter! Haha! I was amused writing it, so I hope you guys enjoy!
Hey Megasalamance64! This one's for you! Lol! Hope you like it!
Juilana's Tinkaton rushed across the fields of the southern province, enjoying the wide open space that seemed to go on forever. She was able to sneak away from her trainer, who was setting up a picnic. Tinkaton overhead Juliana talking about their upcoming trip to a faraway land known as Kitakami, and how excited she seemed to be for it.
Tinkaton didn't blame her, she was excited too. Daschbun and Maushold were to stay behind with her mother, as traveling didn't appeal to them when Juliana explained it to everyone. Tinkaton didn't mind however, she was more than happy to take some extra love from her trainer.
For now, the hammer wielding Pokémon was going to enjoy the sun.
Yes indeed, this will be a trip to remember.
During the trip…
"I'm goin' home…"
Kieran's lowered voice caused Juliana's heart to drop into her stomach. She knew that she had messed up big time, and she had no idea how she was going to fix this. Tinkaton looked up at her worried trainer, she could sense how she was feeling.
Nonetheless, she replied, "Kieran, I can explain."
He took off running immediately, clearly he wouldn't hear her. Tinkaton watched with shock.
"Kieran, wait!" Juliana called out, then felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned to face Carmine, "I'm sorry Juliana, he's not normally like this."
Juliana sighed, the guilt she was feeling wasn't anything like she had experienced before. And she hated it. Tinkaton patted Juliana's leg, trying to assure her.
"It's probably just his age. You know, teen angst." Carmine suggested, "What do you think Juliana?"
Juliana sighed and shook her head, "I don't know…"
As the girls continued speaking, Tinkaton heard a small noise coming from the monument of the so-called 'Loyal Three'. She turned around and was barely able to detect some slight movement. Alarmed, she hopped three times and made noises, catching the attention of the girls.
"Huh? What's with her?" Carmine inquired.
Juliana asked, "What is it, Tinkaton?"
Tinkaton responded by pointing at the statues. They had began to quiver once more. It started of small, then gradually grew into a violent shake. Suddenly, there was a purple glow. Juliana and Carmine watched in shock as a beam shot into the sky.
Juliana covered her eyes, "Ack! I can't see!"
"Juliana!" Carmine shouted, "What's going on!?"
When Juilana looked, there was a cloud of dust shadowing three figures among the wreckage. The face of a bulky canine stuck out from the center while letting out a snarl. As the dust cleared, there stood two more devious creatures. Standing proud with a look of aggravating arrogance, it was them. The 'loyal' three. For several seconds, the two groups just stared one another down as the rain began to fall.
Eventually, the 'loyal' three walked from their destroyed shrine and stood in front of the girls.
Carmine reacted, "Huh!? What in the world!?"
The trio responded by snickering.
Juliana made a face, "Uh… ew! These guys are gross…"
Tinkaton marched in front of the two girls and fearlessly stared at them Her focus being on the big, bulky one in the center. When he returned a glare, Tinkaton stuck her tongue out and blew a raspberry. The 'loyal' three all recoiled in shock at the disrespect they weren't used to. Juliana bust out laughing, "Aha! You tell them firecracker!"
Carmine wasn't so amused, "I don't think that's a good idea, pink!" She called to Tinkaton.
Tinkaton turned to Carmine with a confident expression and made a gesture. Juliana snorted, "Heh, she's saying, 'Relax! These guys are total chumps, nothing to be afraid of!' Right firecracker?"
Tinkaton nodded the affirmative, but Carmine was getting scared, "You are both absolutely nuts!"
The 'loyal' three were not amused by this. The center Pokémon took a stance and tried to intimidate Tinkaton by flexing his arms and showing off his muscles. Tinkaton rolled her eyes and swung her hammer once. This seemed to work and he took a step back. Tinkaton put her free hand on her hip like an angry parent.
Next, the blue simian Pokémon stepped forward. He tried to distract her by pointing a finger at nothing to the sky behind her. She instead looked down at the ground and jumped in shock. When the Pokémon looked down, she used her fist to bop him on the head.
Taken aback, he stomped his feet in frustration.
Finally, the feathered one pushed his friend to the side to face Tinkaton. This one tried to use his more appealing appearance to get the better of her. He flapped his wings, did a twirl, and gave her a wink.
Even Juliana was stunned, "What the…?"
Tinkaton, disgusted by this, contorted her face and scooped up some dirt and threw it in those 'charming' eyes. The fiendish Pokémon reacted with a cry of pain. As his buddies looked on in disbelief.
Juliana encouraged her, "Go on Tinkaton, give them what for!"
"YOU'RE ENCOURAGING HER!?" Carmine freaked.
Juliana taunted, "What are they gonna do? They're cowards! And besides, they wouldn't stand a chance anyway! They're only capable of picking on the weak! They won't do ANYTHING to us!"
The 'loyal' three were clearly furious, but Juliana didn't care. She ranted, "You guys are the worst! You're nothing but bullies! You don't deserve the respect you guys get!"
Carmine grabbed Juliana's arm, "You are gonna get us killed!"
The middle bulky Pokémon tried to lunge forward, but was stopped by his teammates. That's when the three turned around and started whispering among themselves. After a few seconds, they nodded.
"What are they talking about?" Carmine whispered to Juliana, who shrugged in response.
That's when The 'loyal' three turned around and all roared simultaneously. After that, they took off running.
"What is going on!? Seriously!?" Carmine shouted.
"Oh no, they're headed to the village!" Juliana put her hands over her mouth.
"You better not have pissed 'em off bad Juliana!" Carmine threatened, "We've got to go, this can't be good!"
Juliana nodded with a serious face, "We'll take them down, don't worry!"
Carmine couldn't help but wonder, "How did they come back to life though? This is so strange…"
Juliana assured her, "We'll figure that out later, let's get going! Come on, Tinkaton!"
So the girls rushed off to Kitakami hall, Juliana and Tinkaton were both eager to kick some butt. Tinkaton had her hammer gripped tight, she was always eager for every opportunity to use it. But this was going to be special. Those Pokémon rubbed her the wrong way, even worse than a Corviknight would. And if that feeling could be stronger than her natural instinct, then she knew this would be a battle worth having.
She couldn't wait.
