A/N: Flinstone-Your story is amazing I hope you do another story with this couple
Better yet, I hope my story inspires more with this couple. Bruce Wayne x Lady Shiva is criminally underrated and has a LOT of potential. But yeah, I do have plans for the WMD timeline in the far-off future. Literally.
Hint: There's a reason Sandra wants to name her next child Terry.
cjydxyyn-Rare couple,but interesting!Your work is great
Disappointingly rare. I hope I've fixed that. Yeah, Catwoman is hot, I'm not gonna deny that, and I have LOVED plenty of stories where they end up together in the end, but I need more SPICE, ya know? I love WonderBat, for example, but even I didn't expect tofall so in love with Batman x Lady Shiva, A.K.A. BatShiva (badass ship name, by the way). Plus, Cassandra is basically Bruce's daughter in ever story she's been adapted into. Why not make her his biological daughter for once, yeah?
In one of Wu-San-Wayne's vaults, Lucius and the Board of Directors were sitting in the dark, all of them terrified. Many of them jumped in terror when the explosion occurred.
"Mr. Fox, what was that," one of the executives asked.
"I don't know. I don't know much of anything in here. Whatever it was, it was powerful enough to shake the tower. This building was designed to withstand anything from a magnitude 9 earthquake to a nuclear explosion. It's supposed to be a haven and an impenetrable fortress. Whatever can shake this building is beyond devastating."
"Oh, god," an executive went.
They all jumped when the vault mechanisms turned, telling them that the vault was opening. When it opened, two figures were seen.
"Are you alright, Mr. Fox?"
"BATMAN!"
The executives were happy to see both the city's hero and their boss when the vault opened, many already running out of the vault to get out of the claustrophobic space.
"Batman, what was that explosion," Lucius asked his friend.
"It was Ra's Al Ghul," Batman explained. "He tried to kill me and Shadow Bat in a last-ditch effort."
"Shadow Bat?" He looked at the figure next to Batman.
"Hello, Lucius," she said with a smile the CEO instantly recognized.
"H-How did you two survive?"
"Ra's seemed to have forgotten how he brought me and Batman up to the roof in the first place."
Earlier.
Batman and Shadow Bat charged at Ra's as he was charging. The madman had enough sentience to see them, expecting them to try and stop him in vain. He was shocked when they both jumped over him and took out their grapple guns.
Ra's had enough strength and time to turn back, his eyes widening in shock and horror when he saw them grapple the holes in the roof he sent them crashing through before their battle. He watched as they both vanished into their respective holes.
"NOOOOOO," he roared one last time before he exploded.
The shock of the explosion and the pressure from the blast still had enough force to send the heroes flying, the two crashing through a wall before slamming into a pillar. It winded them for a bit, both coughing violently from the experience before they both looked up. The roof was still intact.
Shadow Bat then took out the remote control Batarang used for reconnaissance and threw it through the hole, Batman steering it.
They both saw that the roof was covered in green flames... but not even dust was left behind of Ra's Al Ghul. The only proof of him being there at all was his sword and some of his rings.
There was no doubt about it. Ra's Al Ghul was dead.
"Does that mean what I think it does," Lucius asked.
"It will once we get the message out," Shadow Bat said. "And of course, I'm going to need your help," she said with a smile.
Nyssa tried to slice Barbara from above, but the Commissioner easily avoided the slash. Nyssa swung several times at her before her sword clashed with Barbara's gun, the two headbutting each other, glaring into the other's eyes. Tigress and Onyx were taking on Nyssa's elite guards while Cheshire was fighting alongside the Shadows against the Assassins.
Even with Gotham PD at their side, the Shadows were growing tired against the Lazarus Venom Assassins. Penguin and his thugs weren't making things any easier for the heroes, but most of the mob boss's heavy hitters were either dead, unconscious, or frozen. He was glad that his Kabuki Twins were just fine, but he was looking for a way for him and his girls to escape.
That chance occurred when the screens of Gotham turned on.
"Criminals of Gotham, or more accurately, members of the League of Assassins, I am Shadow Bat."
"Lovely. Another Bat. Must be Wayne's woman."
"Though, I'm sure all of you have already surmised who I truly am," Sandra said as she took off her mask, yet still seemed intimidating with her smile.
"Knew it. Come on, girls," Penguin said as he broke into a car, hotwired it, and drove away with his favorite henchwomen, leaving whatever goons he had left behind in the dust.
"I know all members of the League can hear me, for I trained my Shadows to be able to hear my voice far and wide for information gathering. My face alone should tell you the truth, but I shall inform the masses in any case: Ra's Al Ghul is dead."
That stopped all fighting within the city. As soon as the Assassins and Shadows stopped trying to kill each other, the terrified criminals who thought the city was a criminal's paradise ran away, not at all caring about the loot they could steal anymore. They just wanted to get away from these crazy ninjas, one even claiming that he was running back to his kids and being the dad they needed.
"I am sure many of you believe I am lying. May this be proof enough," Sandra said as she held up Ra's sword and his rings, possessions the Demon's Head would never part without.
"It's true," Nyssa said in a breaking voice, realizing her father truly had been slain.
"I will say this only once, League of Assassins: leave my city. The Lazarus War has ended. Gotham has won. You may leave this city and follow your new leader, whomever they may be; or you can vainly continue this battle. Just know this, the longer you stay in Gotham," she began as she put her mask back on. "The longer you have to worry about me hunting you down. And not just I. Gotham is a city of Bats and Shadows. We are everywhere. We will always protect this city from your poisoned hands. I suggest you make the right choice." The screens then cut off.
The League of Assassins members looked among themselves before they looked at the League of Shadows members. The two factions stared at each other before both sides sheathed their weapons and actually bowed to each other in respect, showing they all saw each other as worthy foes before they both vanished into the darkness.
Nyssa sheathed her sword before swinging her hand, her Assassins vanishing in the blink of an eye. She then turned back to Barbara. "This may not be our last meeting, Commissioner."
"You're not an evil woman, Nyssa. I hope next time we do meet, it won't be as enemies."
Nyssa smiled. "And when has a Bat ever been that lucky?"
Barbara giggled. "Good point."
Nyssa then vanished the same way as her Assassins did.
Bullock then walked up next to his boss, his shotgun resting on his shoulders. "Chick's as bad as your old boss. Is that how he did it?"
"Not telling, Bullock," Barbara said with a smile. She then looked serious. "The war might be over, but we're still on the clock. Injured, casualties, damages, I want to know them all before you even have the chance to swear, Bullock."
"Whoa. You need the Flash for that kinda speed, boss. ANYWAY, YOU HEARD THE LADY, BOYS AND GIRLS! ANYONE WHO CAN MOVE WITHOUT NEEDING TO YANK A KNIFE OUT THERE ASS HAS TO HELP THE INJURED! AIN'T NO ONE ELSE DYIN' TONIGHT! MOVE, MOVE, MOVE!"
Barbara watched her officers before looking to see Cheshire and Tigress hugging each other, both sisters glad the other was safe. She then looked up toward the raining sky and smiled.
"It's really over, huh?"
Roy had placed a plate of chicken nuggets, cut carrots, and mashed potatoes in front of his sad-looking daughter.
"Daddy, when are Mommy and Auntie Artemis coming back home?"
Roy sighed. "I don't know, Baby Girl. We just have to trust that they'll be back soon."
"Sooner than you think."
Roy and Lian jumped when they looked at the voice.
"MOMMY," Lian yelled in excitement and happiness as she ran toward her mother, hugging her.
Roy ran over and hugged both Jade and Artemis. "You two had me worried sick. I don't know whether I should kill you two or kiss you."
"Kissing would be nice," Jade said.
"We've had enough of people trying to kill us for a while," Artemis said.
Roy stepped back. "What about Bruce, Dick, and everyone else?"
Jade smiled. "They're fine. It's over, Roy. The League of Assassins may still be around, but they won't be bothering anyone for a long time."
"What do you mean?"
"She did it." Roy looked at Artemis. "Lady Shi... Sandra killed Ra's Al Ghul."
Roy's eyes widened. "He's gone?"
"Yes." Jade then hugged her husband, the man hugging her back while she lifted her daughter and brought her sister into the family hug. "Ra's Al Ghul is finally gone. Now... we can get SOME semblance of a normal life."
"Fat chance," Roy and Artemis said in unison.
Jade sighed. "I know."
Three days have passed since the end of the Lazarus War.
Construction work was occurring in Gotham City. Buildings, shops, streets, everything was damaged in the war was under repair. Life was being brought back to normal under the watchful and caring eye of the Wu-San-Wayne Conglomerate, with only one thing different.
Not one crime had been committed since the war.
After finding out that Lady Wu-San-Wayne was the leader of an entire organization of ninjas, most criminals were too afraid to do anything. Learning that Barbara Gordon was the first Batgirl made it seem even harder to do crime since the Police Commissioner was a former member of the Bat Family, meaning the police would be even tougher. It was proven true when rumors of an elite squad trained by Barbara herself were being passed around not even a day ago.
Life was honestly improving in Gotham.
"Are we live? Got it. This is Vicki Vale of Gotham Gazette, reporting live in front of Wu-San-Wayne Tower, where billionaire couple Bruce and Sandra Wu-San-Wayne are currently located having a business meeting that could change Gotham's future forever. Now that it is revealed that Bruce Wayne is Batman, Gotham's first true hero, and one of the world's greatest protectors, should he remain as Wu-San-Wayne's company owner along with his wife, or should he step down and let the people take over the company his family built? In this reporter's personal opinion, Bruce Wayne used the technology and funds of Wayne Enterprise to BE Batman. Without the wealth, can he be Batman? Could this meeting be the death of Batman or the beginning of a new chapter for the Dark Knight?"
In the meeting hall, Ms. Bannister slammed her hands on the table. "How can you all be in favor of this?! Allowing Bruce and Sandra Wayne to stay with this company?!"
"Ms. Bannister, with all do respect-"
"Be quiet, Ms. Beck!"
The redhead slammed her hand on the table as she stood up, scaring the older woman. "You did NOT just do that, you old hag! We listened to your side, so you're sure as hell going to hear ours!"
"M-Mind your tongue, young-"
"Just shut up, Ms. Bannister. No wonder you're as old as you are but don't even have a grandkid," a Spanish executive said.
"I beg your pardon?!"
"Yes, you should," Ms. Beck began. "Your only claim to fame in this company is that you're old and worked your way up to be at Mr. Fox's level, but let's face it, you can be replaced easily."
"WHAT?!"
"She's right," a handsome black executive said. "Without Mr. Fox or the Waynes, this company wouldn't be nearly as powerful or influential as it is now. And let's face it, how bad would it look if we fired the freakin' Batman?"
"I can see it now," a beautiful executive with light brown hair and green eyes said. "Wu-San-Wayne Conglomerate, the company that fired Batman and caused a massive crime wave after cutting the hero off of his funding and technology. We would go under in a week."
"Heh, aren't you optimistic, Ms. Harts," the Spanish executive said. "My money's on three days."
"You always see the worst-case scenario, don't you, Mr. Gonzales," Ms. Harts asked.
"Of course, I do. You think I became an executive by being a yes man? Mr. Fox helped me get my promotion because I helped him see the worst outcomes. Let's be honest, most of us can be replaced by someone better, especially Ms. Bannister, but Bruce Wayne? THE goddamn Batman? That's like trying to replace a diamond with a piece of cotton. He's proven time and time again that Gotham NEEDS him. Look outside!"
"Yes, look outside," Ms. Bannister said. "Our city was torn apart by war!"
"A war that would have come after us anyway," an executive said. "Before Batman, this city was crawling with mob bosses, murderous lunatics, anarchists, and the freakin' Court of Owls! With him, the Falcone Family is a history book chapter, Black Gate has most of the criminals, Arkham has the crazies, and we were saved from a freakin' army of ninjas, and you think it's a good idea to get RID of him?!"
Ms. Bannister began to gape, not knowing how to respond to that.
"Speaking of the Court, how do we know Ms. Bannister isn't a member," Mr. Gonzales asked.
"WHAT?!"
"She was one of the first people to suggest firing Mr. Wayne after he was discovered to be Batman," Ms. Harts said.
"Getting rid of a hero like him sure would help the Court," Ms. Beck said.
The executives then spoke among themselves before they all looked at Ms. Bannister, the previously proud and haughty woman now looking down in shame and embarrassment before looking down and taking her seat. "I retract my vote for firing Mr. Wayne."
"Then it's unanimous," Mr. Fox said as he stood up, everyone looking toward the head of the table, where both Bruce and Sandra Wu-San-Wayne sat. "Mr. and Mrs. Wu-San-Wayne, we hope you stay with us."
The two stood up.
"Always," Bruce said.
"This is our company and our city, and we will do anything and everything we can and must to keep it safe," Sandra said.
"We only ask for one thing," Bruce began. "Your cooperation."
"This city is indeed under the protection of the Bat Family, but the Lazarus War has proven that even our family has limits. It would have been impossible for even us to win without the aid of its citizens. Without the Gotham Police. Without my Shadows."
"As such, we ask that you help us in any way you can. Please," Bruce began.
He and Sandra bowed. "Help us protect Gotham City."
The executives looked among themselves before a clapping was heard. Surprisingly, it was Ms. Bannister who was clapping. It started a chorus of claps from the executives, telling the couple what they needed to hear.
The executives were on their side and wanted to help them save Gotham City and her future.
Days after the meeting at Wu-San-Tower, a full week had passed, and Mayor Dent held a press meeting.
"Citizens of Gotham, seven full days have passed since what could possibly be the darkest moment in Gotham's history, the Lazarus War. On that day, a madman and his thugs tried to destroy our city, his belief being that our city was too corrupt. An irredeemable cesspool too corrupt to ever be saved. Honestly, there was a point in time where he could have been right. I myself caused that title to be earned."
"However, one man tried to prove that terrorist wrong. Over the years, that man gained allies. Brave men and women who were willing to fight for the soul of this city, and with the help of a woman as extraordinary as him, he proved that Gotham COULD be saved. That this city COULD be redeemed! And now, I give the podium to that great man. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you a man who has saved me countless times, who allowed me to live not as a villain, but as a man who wants to save this city. The friend who has been by my side and saved me from a life of crime, Bruce Wayne!"
Bruce then walked up to the podium, photographers taking countless pictures of him. "Thank you, Mayor Dent. I'm sure it is obvious to everyone here, but I truly do love this city. I've waged a war against crime for decades as Batman, and until I am too feeble to throw a Batarang or until some punk gets lucky, I won't stop any time soon."
"Mr. Wayne!"
"Wu-San-Wayne," Bruce corrected.
"Mr. Wu-San-Wayne, now that your secret is out, and the identity of all your allies has been revealed, will this heed your duties as Batman?"
"I'm sure plenty of criminals believe they have a chance since learning there is a man beneath the visage of Batman, but that won't stop me from fighting them, nor anyone else in my family."
"Speaking of your family, sir, since it's been revealed that the former Batgirl is the current commissioner of Gotham, citizens are worried you might influence the police force!"
"Rest assured, I have no intentions of influencing the police force. The closest I would do is something I should have done years ago: fund the GPD. Enhanced vehicles, enhanced body armor, and state-of-the-art pistols developed by Dr. Fries himself; are only the beginning. I vow to use both Wu-San-Wayne technology and my skills as Batman to keep this city safe."
"Speaking of the Wu-San-Waynes, this Ra's Al Ghul revealed that your wife is an internationally infamous assassin known as Lady Shiva. Any comments on this?!"
"None. That is for my wife to disclose, which is why I am now giving her the podium," Bruce said as he stepped away, letting Sandra take the stage.
As soon as she did, the reporters went crazy, trying to ask her various questions.
"Mrs. Wu-San-Wayne, people are worried about having a possible assassin lead one of the most powerful companies in the entire world. Do you have any words to calm them?"
"I admit that I do not. Words are nothing. All I can say is this: watch me. My actions, my decisions, their outcomes; be sure to watch everything I do. Then, you may judge whether I am a threat or not."
"Mrs. Wu-San-Wayne, it was revealed that you are the leader of a group of assassins-"
"Not assassins. My League of Shadows was formed to FIGHT the League of Assassins. In essence, they are the foes of the Assassins. The guards hidden in the shadows. As you may have noticed, crime has dropped significantly, while cells in Blackgate have been filling up so quickly, Wu-San-Wayne Conglomerate had to fund the prison's expansion."
"A-Are you saying your Shadows have been preventing crime?"
Sandra just looked at the reporter... and gave a kind smile.
"Mrs. Wu-San-Wayne, any news you can share on the League of Assassins?!"
"Are they still in Gotham?!"
"Are the citizens truly safe?!"
"Is YOUR family safe, considering the number of enemies you have?!"
"Oh, I assure you that the Assassins are still hidden in the city, but their influence is no greater than a petty pickpocket. However, no one, not even the Wu-San-Wayne Family can promise total safety. All we can do is keep you as safe as our power allows. And trust me, we have plenty of power to keep this city safe. As for the safety of my family. . . I DARE anyone to threaten my children. It's a mistake they won't make again while shivering in a hospital room," Sandra said with a dark look in her eye that terrified not just reporters or the viewers at home, but the criminals in their hideouts who were dumb enough to think they could attack Wayne Manor.
Sandra's eyes were more than enough to crush that plan.
Later, in the dead of night, Shadow Bat was looking down at Gotham from atop Wu-San-Wayne Tower.
"Quite the finishing speech you gave," Batman said as he walked up next to his wife, looking down.
"But it wasn't enough. Some of Gotham's most dangerous criminals are indeed gone, some dying as heroes like Edward or Waylon, but that doesn't change the fact there will always be threats to this city's peace."
"Penguin, Professor Pyg, Anarky, the Court of Owls, and the League of Assassins. Yes, Gotham still has plenty of enemies. Plenty of madmen or criminals full of greed who either want to burn this city or rule it. It doesn't matter," Batman said as he wrapped his hand around his wife's shoulder.
"As long as there's one Bat in Gotham, it will never fall. We'll keep it safe. Who better than the Bat Family to keep such a promise? After all..."
Shadow Bat and Batman looked into each other's eyes with a smile. "We're the World's Most Dangerous Family," they said in perfect unison.
The two then kissed as their capes fluttered in the night wind, a bat flying past them. A second bat flew next to it. The oddly majestic nocturnal creatures flew around each other in a beautiful way reminiscent of a dance while flying toward the sky until they spread their wings across the full moon with a screech. Their forms seemed to merge together to form a single, massive bat across the full moon, letting Gotham know who ruled the night.
END
A/N: And this is indeed the end. I'm grateful to everyone who read this story and reviewed it. It was fun talking to you when I could.
But I have a question for you- are any of my readers comic book artists?
I have a friend who draws AMAZINGLY, but he's more of a Marvel/Anime type of artist, and he's SERIOUSLY busy. Chumpchangedraws can only do so much on his own.
Which is why I'd like to ask if someone (who preferably has a account) is interested in turning Batman: World's Most Dangerous into a fan comic (preferably on DeviantArt).
If anyone is interested, please send me a PM so we can talk.
Is this selfish? Probably. Is it self-promoting? Hell yeah. Would it possibly be a better comic than the woke garbage that DC and Marvel have been spewing out? FUCK YEAH!
So, if you're interested, you know what to do.
Until the next story!
