The orientation room had hundreds of examinees crammed inside.
"Alright, everyone, let's get through this exam. I'm Yokumiru Mera from the Hero Licensing Committee..." Said a tired-looking man from the announcer's box.
"Geez, that poor guy looks like he barely gets any sleep." Hilda noted.
"No kidding." Izuku agreed.
"Mera, please get some sleep." Agent Sitch said as he took the mic. "Lord knows you need it."
"Thanks..." With that, Mera collapsed on the floor and promptly passed out.
"Here's how things are going here; We have 1540 examinees who will take part in a free-for-all exercise. But honestly, that's far too many for our current society. With how many heroes there are on the street, the response time between an incident and its resolution is rather short. Because of that, only the first 100 students who meet the exam requirements will pass today."
"That's concerning. We thought only fifty percent of the examinees would pass. But with those numbers, it'll be even less." Momo noted while eating a high-calorie energy bar to charge up.
"It's still possible for our entire class to pass with room to spare. It'd be us plus seventy-six others." Penny pointed out.
"Each examinee will place three provided targets on their body. Anywhere is fine so long as it's in an exposed area. For example, you can't place it on the soles of your feet or your armpits. It also cannot be hidden by any facet of your costume, such as a scarf, mask, or hood." Sitch continued. "These will be considered your 'weak points' for this exam. You'll also be given six balls. The targets are programmed to light up when touched by these balls. If all three of your targets light up, then you're out. That said, if the ball hits any part of your body that doesn't have a target, it will not count against you."
"Okay, no pressure..." Ben hummed.
"Only a direct shot will cause the target to light up, it won't work if the ball only hits in proximity. Whoever lit up your third target will get credit for your defeat. Take down two opponents and you make it through the round."
"Seems simple enough!" Kirby nodded.
But that just makes things even harsher than the Entrance Exam." Izuku realized. "It's possible for someone to steal a defeated target from you just by waiting until someone has two lit targets on their body."
"After we open, we'll pass out the targets and balls, and then we'll start in one minute after all targets and balls have been passed out." Sitch finished.
While a few students questioned what he meant, it became clear when the room suddenly began to shake, the walls and ceiling opening up to reveal the whole arena that had been set up for them. Just like USJ, there were a variety of terrains, allowing students to quickly judge where they would work most effectively.
While all the examinees began to scramble to a location that would give them the tactical advantage, Izuku's eyes narrowed before realizing something important.
"Everyone, we should stick together! There's no point in trying to compete against each other if it's about first to pass."
"He's right! Our powers are already well-known thanks to the Sports Festival." Ben said. "But that was months ago. They aren't aware of how much we've improved since then."
Once the alert for the exam to start began, several other examinees came out of the woodwork, balls in hand.
"They say each year the exam takes place, UA is immediately crushed," Katsuki noted before his signature feral smirk spread across his face. "But this year's gonna be different."
"We already have a good idea of your weaknesses! Not even Yasakani can get by on just regenerating with how the exam was set up!" Shindo said with a wicked smirk.
"There's more to me than just healing!" Hilda huffed as she squatted down and rocketed into the air before delivering a double-stomping kick. "GROUDON SMASH!"
The force of the kick created a powerful tornado that blew all the balls away, with one getting caught on his leg and smacking one of Shindo's classmates right on a target. The entire Ketsubutsu class suddenly found themselves having to dodge balls launched back by tape, acid, shadows, explosions, sticky spheres, and various other powers, all launched with expert precision.
Aizawa was watching this from the spectator stands with a proud smirk on his face as Ms. Joke looked surprised.
"At UA, we look a little further than other schools. Yes, during the exam my students have to face other examinees who know their Quirks. But think about this. The UA Sports Festival is shown across the country. Do you really think villains wouldn't be watching as well?"
"That's right..." Ms. Joke realized.
"I have a hunch that the UA Crush is about to take on an entirely different meaning this year."
Class 1-A quickly huddled together, Shouji using his multiple arms like a satellite dish in case any other schools were trying to ambush them. Penny had used her Configuration: Dupli-Arms to sprout mechanical tentacles from her back with optic eyes on the ends that added to the effectiveness of the defense.
"I should have realized UA wouldn't go down so easy..." Shindo noted.
"Good thing we have a plan."
The one who spoke was a Ketsubetsu student with blue skin and a head like a helmet. His name was Shikkui Makabe and his Quirk was [Stiffening], which allowed him to harden any non-living thing he touched with his hands.
Hardening the balls he had, Shikkui launched them to a fellow Ketsubetsu student, Itejiro Toteki, who caught and tossed them right underground, having been lit up with a violet aura.
"CRESCENT MOON TRAJECTORY!"
Itejiro's Quirk, [Boomerang], allowed him to manipulate the trajectory of anything he threw. This granted him incredible aim and with the balls he threw going underground, the UA students wouldn't have time to dodge.
His confidence, however, was crushed when Kyouka smirked before plugging her jacks into her new gloves and slamming them into the ground, which started to split from the attack.
"HEARTBEAT DISTORTION!"
With the balls exposed, Mina went next, waving her arm in a long overhead arch and creating a giant wall of acid.
"ACID VEIL!"
The Ketsubetsu students watched in shock as all the balls thrown were instantly melted into nothing by the defensive attack.
"That just wasted a ton of our balls!" Tatami cried. "If we weren't trying to eliminate them, I'd say that was so awesome!"
"H-How did this happen?" Itejiro stuttered. "W-We had this whole thing planned out!"
Shindo growled in frustration. "We made this plan in anticipation of what Class 1-A could do during the Sports Festival. But that was months ago. We stupidly forgot to take into account how much training they've done since then. Not to mention having to deal with multiple villain attacks."
"BLACK ABYSS: PIERCING TWILIGHT CLAW!" Fumikage shouted as Dark Shadow enveloped him and launched his claws forward, balls in hand.
Tatami dodged the attack at the last literal second by using her Quirk, [Telescopic], which let her pull her body into itself much like a turtle. But while the pulling in was instantaneous, pulling herself back to normal took a few seconds.
"This is becoming a stalemate," Ben said as he levitated some balls in his hands with the Element of Gravity. "We're only learning their Quirks one at a time. If we can't find some way to break through their defenses, we're not getting through this exam before other people start to pass."
"Heads up, guys!" Hilda cried, [Danger Sense] having alerted her as she saw Shindo place his hands on the ground.
"TODOROKI! TOREKUROSHI! GET US IN THE AIR!" Izuku shouted.
Shoto quickly unleashed a massive ice sheet underneath the team and used it to lift them into the air. Ben then thrust his hands out to make the sheet levitate like a giant floating platform.
"MAXIMUM FORCE: TREMORING EARTH!"
The ground started to come apart thanks to Shindo's Quirk, [Vibrate]. It was able to make anything Shindo touched vibrate, though the aftershocks would immobilize him afterward.
"Split into groups that work best!" Momo ordered.
"You got it, Boss Lady!" Hilda saluted.
Meanwhile, several other examinees were gathered in the city center. One of them started to notice a massive wind storm was being kicked up. The tornado caused all the balls to get pulled from the examinee's hands and toward the center. The one responsible turned out to be Inasa, who was generating the tornado from his hand.
"I believe it's important for a hero to have passion! And all of you are fighting with it! Please let me join your fight, and show my own passion!"
He brought the balls down in a massive slipstream, successfully taking out 120 examinees total.
"That was total overkill! I mean, yeah, Yoarashi moves on. But for crying out loud, we said you only need to take down two opponents!" Sitch cried, wiping sweat from his forehead as he stared in shock.
"SORRY ABOUT THAT! GOT A LITTLE CARRIED AWAY!" Inasa bowed apologetically.
Class 1-A had finished splitting off into their own groups. Thankfully, they had all passed each other special communicators made by Mei and Fio to keep in contact. This was allowed by the proctors since teamwork was supposed to be emphasized during the exam. Izuku and Hilda landed together in the middle of the debris created by Shindo.
"We gotta get them while their guard is lowered, Zu." Hilda noted.
"All I need to do is find out where their weak spots are. I was able to spot one of Shindo's on his chest, but the others might be more hidden or protected. Given the rules established at the beginning of the exam, I'd estimate that he left them on his legs or back. That would keep them hidden from casual observation while still fulfilling the requirements of how to place them." Izuku muttered.
"As much as I love it when you go into Nerd Mode, I need to tell you to DUCK!" Hilda cried as she pushed Izuku down.
A blur passed by the two of them. Judging from the hat and skin-tight black uniform, it was one of the students from Shiketsu. In fact, Izuku and Hilda recognized her from the group Inasa was with. Spotting a weak spot on her leg, Izuku thrust out his hand, activating the [String-String Fruit].
"BREAK WHITE!"
Some of the rocks and debris transformed into clusters of strings that picked up one of Izuku's balls and tagged one of the girl's targets.
"Dang, that's lit, fam!" The girl said. "Name's Camie Utsushimi. I'm a second-year from-EEK!"
She barely dodged as Hilda threw another ball, having it bounce and nearly hit the weak spot on her back. She dodged just in time as Izuku caught the ball with a crow created from the [Soot-Soot Fruit].
"We're aware that you're from Shiketsu. And don't try anything funny; my [Danger Sense] sniffed you out a mile away." Hilda smirked.
"Man, that's some totes fire Spidey-Sense right there!" Camie said, having used her Quirk, [Glamour], to hide herself in an effort to take down the two.
Suddenly, a whole bunch of other examinees appeared to try and gang up on Midoriya. Camie decided to cut her losses and made a quick escape while Izuku shook his head and pulled his fist back.
"You guys do realize that only the one who hits my third target gets the credit, right?"
With the power of the [Tremor-Tremor Fruit], Izuku created a shockwave that cracked the air in front of him like glass. Most of the other examinees quickly fled as the tremor launched the balls right back at them, but one got unlucky and had all three of his targets hit, taking him out.
"Deku! Hilda!"
Izuku and Hilda turned to see Ochako approching them. Thankfully, they could both tell this was the real deal and not one of Camie's illusions.
"Mic check!" Sero said as he came in as well.
All four hit their mics, confirming their identities.
"Good thinking, Sero."
Sero nodded. "Yeah, with how many Quirks there are in this arena, we gotta be on the lookout for one similar to Toga's or even Ben's Element of Illusion."
"We actually met someone like that. She was a girl from Shiketsu named Camie." Hilda noted. "Her Quirk involves creating illusions or hallucinations, but they're strictly audio and visual. Things like smell or just intuition should be enough to see through them."
"That said, I did manage to tag one of her weak spots. And I think I was able to take out someone else during that last ambush." Izuku added.
"How many slots are left? I wasn't paying attention." Sero asked.
"There's been thirty so far. If we hope to stay in this we need to make our move right now." Izuku said.
Shoto was in the Factory Area along with Momo, Tsuyu, Ben, and Penny.
"There are currently 53 examinees who have passed so far! Anyone who still needs to earn points, now's the time to pick it up. Meanwhile, 238 examinees have failed" Agent Sitch announced.
"He's right. We each still need one more point to make it to the next round."
"Something's off about the math. Unless some people decided to take out more than the required two to pass." Momo noted.
"That still leaves us plenty of leeway to finish this portion. We haven't failed yet." Ben reassured.
"I'm detecting incoming danger!" Penny suddenly alerted.
Shoto and Ben launched flames and plasma, obliterating an incoming ball.
"Not bad."
The five turned to see a group of examinees all dressed as ninjas.
"What's with the Naruto rejects?" Ben mockingly asked. "Stop trying to look cool! I'm the only try-hard here!"
"Well then, have a target picked out. I'll make sure they don't try and scatter." Shoto said, a hint of playfulness in his tone.
"My, my, looks like Todoroki is developing a snarky streak!" Ben smirked.
Shoto created an ice tendril that froze the opponent's legs in place. The leader, clad in red, threw a metal nut that suddenly grew in size, only for it to stop as Ben held his hand out.
"Wow, you guys suck. Don't you know I have literally EVERY base on the Elemental Chart covered?"
Ben then moved his fingers and the metal nut melted and morphed into a battering ram and shot it right back at the examinees.
"This would have been more difficult alone. But with you two here, I feel like this will be even easier." Shoto noted.
Momo suddenly got a call on her earpiece. "Some of the others are in a tight spot. I can go and help them."
"Go on! We can handle these chumps!" Ben grinned wickedly. "Besides, I got an idea!"
The ninja examinees suddenly found the entire area covered in a blinding, chilly mist courtesy of Ben using the Element of Mist. The leader saw a lit flame and led his team toward it, thinking it was Shoto. Much to their shock, it was actually a special paper created by Momo before she left.
Meanwhile, Tsuyu was clinging to a nearby tanker.
"This environment was designed to be as realistic as possible, so this has actual gas in it. Not as potent as the real thing, but it should still explode nicely when either Todoroki or Torekuroshi's flames hit it."
She heaved up a special high-powered drill held in her stomach and used it to puncture a hole in the tank before quickly hopping away, Ben creating an aura of heat to protect her from the freezing mist.
"All clear!"
"Good job!"
Shoto launched a quick flame burst, detonating the tanker and leaving the ninjas sprawled on the ground, quickly trapped with an ice coating.
"Damn! Such a dirty trick!"
"Hey, sometimes Heroes gotta bend the rules!" Ben smirked as he, Shoto, and Tsuyu approached them with balls in hand.
Having passed, the trio headed into the anteroom, where Shoto noticed Inasa speaking with another examinee who passed. Inasa noticed Shoto was there and his eyes narrowed.
"Seems like he doesn't like you..." Ben whispered before slinking off.
"Todoroki..." Inasa said as he approached. "Your eyes are different."
"What?"
"Last time I saw those eyes, they were just like Endeavor. A narrow-minded man who didn't care about showing passion to inspire the people only focused on something impossible to prove, eyes full of hatred and anger."
Shoto growled and was about to tell off Inasa but he continued before he could.
"But now your eyes are different. Back at the Recommendation Exam, you brushed me off when I tried to talk with you. I turned down my application and went to Shiketsu because I didn't wish to be reminded of those eyes full of hate. But now they're different..."
Meanwhile, Momo managed to reach Shouji, Kyouka, and Mina by using a high-speed giant Rascal scooter to trace her way through the arena.
"How are things going?"
"Some of our classmates already passed the first portion. They confirmed it through our communicators." Shouji said.
"Has anyone else managed to score?"
"I was able to get a point on the way here. But that's about it." Mina replied.
As everyone was talking, Kyouka plugged her jacks into a nearby wall.
"We have four people coming up the stairs ten floors down. They're not stopping, so they're not running away from anything."
"Uh-Oh, I think they might be targeting us somehow!" Mina realized. "But why with so few? Most of the other classes have grouped together in large numbers."
"Most likely they have other members of their class stationed nearby," Momo suggested. "Jiro, try listening through the floor instead. We might be able to get a good read on their movement through their footsteps."
As Kyouka pulled out her jacks, Shouji placed an ear to the wall to keep track of the numbers. He narrowed his eyes when he heard something.
"Someone just turned on a music player. Rather loud, too. If Jiro was still jacked into the wall it would have caused a major shock for her. By now the sound waves have calmed down enough, but I can't hear any footsteps."
Kyouka plugged her jacks into the floor. "They've been joined by one more. Now they're moving slowly. They probably expected me to still be listening."
Suddenly something started breaking the nearby windows.
"Get to cover!" Momo called out as everyone went to hide behind something.
"They're trying to block off access to our Quirks. They tried to shut down my hearing, now they're trying to keep Shouji from seeing outside." Kyouka realized.
Mina bit her lip. "They're trying to surround us. But if they're trying to negate our strengths first, they can't have much in the offense department."
"That's true. They'd be fools to try attacking us head-on even now. Any sort of ambush we could easily plow through." Momo noted. "So instead they'll try something more indirect. Something that would immobilize us long enough to tag our weak spots."
"The temperature is starting to drop." Shouji warned.
Momo spotted the cold mist coming from the vents, as shutters closed over the windows. Mina was feeling it more than normal.
"C-C-Crap! Acid and cold don't mix!"
"Good thing Tsu's not here..." Kyouka said as she took off her jacket to help Mina warm up.
"Should we make a fire?" Shouji suggested.
"No, that wouldn't work. That would just set off the sprinkler system." Momo said, shaking her head. "Not to mention, whoever thought this up clearly wants me to waste my energy using my Quirk..."
"B-But you're so big and cuddly! You've got fat reserves for days!" Mina pointed out.
The mastermind behind this scenario was an examinee from Seiai Academy named Saiko Intelli, using her Quirk, [IQ], to formulate a plan to weaken the UA students, alongside her classmates.
"This is my formula for success. Since we know all about UA's Quirks, it's a simple matter for me to factor in the perfect plan to entrap them all."
Saiko's Quirk worked by drinking tea and closing her eyes, which would cause her already tremendous IQ to skyrocket.
"It should be about time. Prepare to take them, ladies."
Just then, something loud started causing vibrations throughout the building. Saiko covered her ears and looked in shock as her classmates started keeling over.
"A... Sonic attack...? But... Jiro should have been disabled..."
As it turns out, Momo had created a large speaker that Kyouka was now plugged into to boost her sonic attack. It was a simple construct that didn't waste too many lipids. And Momo still had some high-calorie snacks on hand just in case.
"NOW!"
The four classmates burst through the room. All of the Seiai students were out cold, making them easy pickings. However, Saiko was still active and managed to grab Momp to pull her back into the room and lock it.
"I can't believe a UA student would choose such a method. But because of that, you can't fight now, can you?" She said, ball in hand. "Especially not with such a rubenesque figure!"
"That's what you think!" Momo grinned as she created a set of cuffs to lock around Saiko's wrist.
"You're struggling in vain!"
"Am I really?"
That's when the door melted, and one of Kyouka's jacks wrapped around Saiko's other wrist, shocking her.
"What? But why? Surely you should have thought I'd already gotten her targets. We're in the middle of the licensing exam, you should be thinking of yourselves, not your other classmates."
"It's because this is the licensing exam. You know, for heroes?" Mina said, as if talking to an idiot. "If you can't think of others during an exam like this, then you shouldn't even be here."
"We at UA always look out for our friends, no matter what. After all, if we can't look out for our friends, then we can't be trusted to hold the lives of complete strangers in our hands." Shouji added.
"Your calculations only factored in how we'd act individually. But while you may have the ability to increase your intelligence, you're still mired by your own flawed philosophies." Momo finished.
Saiko kept her scowl for a bit, but then relaxed and dropped her ball.
"You've defeated me completely. I guess UA lives up to its hype after all..."
Katsuki was with Kirby, Denki, and Eijirou, listening in to their classmates' progress on their communication devices.
"Things are looking up for our class so far," Denki said as the four were currently climbing up a ladder to the highway.
"We still need to push it if we hope to pass," Katsuki warned. "Keep an eye out. Once we hit the road we'll be out in the open with little cover."
Kirby peaked her head out first and winced when she saw large piles of flesh that looked to still be alive.
"Aww, man! That's Nightmare Fuel, dude!"
Katsuki looked up next and saw one figure standing at the other end of the road. The cap made him very distinct, and the hair was familiar.
"It's that one asshat from Shiketsu. The one who was with that loudmouth from earlier."
The four quickly got onto the bridge and started running. Almost immediately, the Shiketsu student, Seiji Shishikura, started lobbing globs of flesh at them.
"Don't let him hit you!" Denki cried.
Seiji scoffed. "Worthless, undignified scum. I'll trap you until the exam is over."
Eijirou noticed something. "Hey, none of their targets are visible. That means this guy used his Quirk on them without scoring any points."
"What the fuck's his deal then?" Katsuki wondered incredulously. "There's only forty spots left for this phase."
"What you see is the difference between my peers and your vulgar class," Seiji declared. "UA is a most excellent school, but your own class sullies it with your undignified ways. The way you act is a disgrace to heroes!"
Katsuki merely laughed. "The way you talk, you sound like you were spending time listening to that asshat Hero Killer's inane bullshit! Haven't you ever seen the history of UA? You'd be surprised how 'undignified' its alumni can be!"
Seiji narrowed his eyes as he activated his Quirk, [Meatball], which let him manipulate raw flesh.
"I'll make sure none of you can pass this exam. Even at the cost of my own advancement."
"That doesn't sound very hero-like..." Kirby noted.
The four sprung into action, Katsuki whipping out one of his new special moves.
"AP SHOT: AUTO-CANNON!"
Katsuki fired a volley of small explosions through the cupped finger of his opposite hand, focusing the blast into a more dense and powerful attack. The blast tore through the flesh blobs Seiji was launching from his back. However, they quickly floated back to their originator and merged back into his arms.
"Jeez! This guy may be harder to put down than Midoriya." Eijirou said.
"You caught me off guard...But now I'll be sure to break you, to teach a lesson in dignity and how a hero truly behaves!"
Katsuki rolled his eyes. "I fucking hate your type but no matter, I never was much for talking an opponent down in the first place. Looks like we'll just have to beat that mentality out of you! Pikachu!"
"You got it!"
Denki aimed his new gauntlets and fired several discs. Seiji was easily able to dodge the discs as they embedded themselves into the sides of the highway.
"Idiot. Next time aim a little better. Meanwhile, you've left yourself wide open."
Sure enough, he had managed to grab both Eijirou and Katsuki with his Quirk, turning them into small flesh blobs.
"Pathetic, you must be remade from scratch. Now for the other two." Seiji said as he walked toward Kirby and Denki with menace in his eyes. "With All-Might withdrawing from hero work, it should make sense to just flood the streets with heroes, right? So why cut down on the number of people who can pass? Obviously, they intend to filter out the riffraff, those who are unfit to be heroes. That is why I choose to act to cut out those who are unworthy, who lack the dignity that this job requires."
"Man, you really are tunnel-visioned, aren't ya?" Kirby said. "Seriously, how did someone like you get into any kind of Hero School with an attitude like that."
"Don't worry about it, Kirbs. Guys like him have their heads stuck way up their asses all the time." Denki said with a smirk. "But man, this must have been what our friends felt fighting the Hero Killer."
"I am NOTHING like that savage!" Seiji snapped.
"Really? Well, how about this?" Kirby rebutted. "Let's say that you're right and dignity is important to being a Hero...that means you should be eliminated based on your actions here alone!"
"Let's face it, what the public really wants is heroes working together to solve the world's crises. Even someone as dumb as me can figure that out." Denki said as Seiji glared. "Yet you're striking out on your own, with no regard for even your classmates. Someone like you would get overwhelmed by all the villains coming in to fill the void left after the Kamino Ward incident."
Seiji growled. "You bastards! I'll mold you into the ideal I strive for!"
He dashed forward, but Kirby smirked, having transformed into Bomb Kirby and slipped a bomb right in his path. This was because she ate one of Katsuki's belt grenades before he was caught by Seiji.
"Oh, by the way, remember what you said about my aim?" Denki asked Seiji, who gasped in shock. "Did you really think I was aiming for you? Especially with a piece of gear seemingly unrelated to my Quirk?"
Pointing his finger like a gun, Denki launched a powerful electric bolt that passed through Seiji and hit the metal disc in the wall, completing a circuit that completely electrified him.
"You must have seen how weak Kaachan's earlier move was," Kirby noted as Shishikura dropped to his knees, "That's because he intentionally lowered his power output to keep us safe. Not just us and Kirishima, but all the other examinees you turned into meat globs. See unlike you, he actually thinks about the people around him when he uses his Quirk."
Denki smiled. "That right there is a hero's true dignity. And Bakugo is a lot smarter than you give him credit for. Heck, he's often scored in the top five in all our class's exams. As for Kirishima, he always steps in to defend people no matter what. You only know bits and pieces of who we are. You rely too much on the information given by TV and the Internet. A stupid mistake if I've ever seen one."
"You filthy degenerates... I'll teach you to know your place!" Seiji roared.
However, the damage he took and undone his effect on Katsuki and Eijirou, who slammed their fists into his jaw and stomach respectively.
"My girl and Pikachu do know their places, you squinty-eyed fuckhead!" Katsuki snapped.
"The one who really doesn't know his place is you!" Eijirou added.
As Seiji dropped like a sack of bricks, the four grouped back up together before noticing the other meat globs returning to normal.
"Looks like the more damage he takes, the more people get released. Explains why he only focused on long-range attacks." Eijirou noted.
"So now what?" Denki asked.
Katsuki licked his lips with a predatory grin on his face, his eyes narrowed ferally.
"Might as well take the chance to complete this portion of the exam, right?"
Meanwhile, Tenya and Yuuga had managed to meet up, and the latter was ready to pull off a serious gambit. He turned in a crab walk, his stomach facing skyward.
"SHINING BEACON!"
His laser fired, creating a wide signal. While most of the examinees saw it, so did the remaining members of Class 1-A.
"All the birds in the sky, contain our enemies!" Kouji called out.
The large amount of birds summoned allowed Minoru to throw out his hairballs, trapping many of the other examinees. Before any of them knew it, they were trapped against the rubble. Tooru turned invisible and aimed her body at the sun.
"Say cheese! WARP REFRACTION!"
The blinding light hit the examinees who hadn't yet been trapped. Before they knew it, they were being tagged out one by one.
"You thought you were going to crush UA in this exam!" Tenya called out as he raced through the field. "But now those who sought to crush... Will instead be humbled by their supposed prey!"
"So glad that worked. I was concerned for a second." Yuuga said after managing to tag out two more examinees.
"Thanks for the beacon, Aoyama!" Minoru said as he landed, having scored his own points, "With everyone scattered, we couldn't tell who was friend or foe out there. But your laser was just what we needed to rally."
Yuuga teared up. He finally felt the burden of All For One's hold on him being lifted somewhat. He no longer felt like a traitor to the ones he had come to call his friends. Now, he felt like a true hero.
"And that's all one hundred! And in an unprecedented turnaround, all of UA High's students actually made it through right at the last minute! Talk about a first for this exam." Agent Sitch announced.
"You must be proud, Shota-Baby!" Ms. Joke smiled.
Aizawa smiled. "Those damn kids. Did they have to keep me on the edge of my seat until the last minute?"
Phew! Extra long chapter! I wanted to cover Class 1-A's bases for the first portion of the Provesional License Exam. Tell me how I did!
Anyway, I'm also working on an alternate Izuku gets the powers of the Devil Fruits story with Mrotrax. It's called The Devil's Dream. Go to his channel and check it out if you can!
